Jimin and Jungkook have been real close these past couple of months, I'm in love ~

Enough is enough.

Jungkook was tired of feeling like a criminal, hiding his desires whenever he was near a certain individual. He didn't care that his friends came back from winter break more unified than ever, completely unaware of Jungkook's trip to their place. He planned to end his secret hopes by putting an end to it all. If Jimin truly never felt the same as him, he wants to hear it out of his hyung's mouth. He needed to gather up the courage from within and say every thought he had been dying to tell him.

It was a particularly sunny afternoon, bits of frost already deteriorating into a slush in every street. With winter break over, the mind numbing studies began again, further crucifing the students. They all wanted school to be over as soon as possible but the closest break wasn't for another couple of months. So it made sense that as soon as they got home, they hung out with their friends instead of working on their papers.

Jeonbunny🐰:
Can we meet each other
today? It's important.

Mincakes❤:
Of course! It's been forever
since we've hung out! Tae's
going to see Hobi today
anyways.

Where do u wanna meet?

Jeonbunny🐰:
Come to my house in 10

Mincakes❤:
I'll be there!

Now for the hard part. Jungkook paced back and forth in the quiet house, wondering what he could say. His nerves got the better of him and made him forget all the sweet things he wanted Jimin to swoon over. He wanted everything to go well so he could hold his small friend again, to call him his instead of friend. Everything was hanging on a tiny thread, threatening to snap if-

"Jungkook! Open the door!" He snapped his head to the entrance, taking the smallest of steps to reach the boy. "I'm freezing my ass off! Open up!"

"I'm coming!" The handle was the only thing seperating them, the small metal curve reminding him of a certain individual that can't keep them apart now. It took all of his courage to open the door and smile at the blond as if nothing was wrong. It took all it had in him to not grab his rosy cheeks and wipe that smile forming off his lips with a pair of his own. But his last restraint was when the older giggled at the taller's gaping mouth. He couldn't resist feeling his plush body entrapped in his arms.

"Kookie! We saw each other earlier today! Let me go you big goof."

I don't want to. Ever again. "I just... missed you."

Jimin was going to ignore the small flutter in his heart from the endearing words of his past crush. "That much? We left school like..." He checked his watch. "One hour ago." That's not what he meant and Jungkook wants to tell him, tell him everything he's been feeling ever since they met last year.

Jungkook nods, looking off to the stairs behind them. "Take off your shoes and follow me."

Jungkook would feel safer in his room when talking to Jimin. He could hold his pillow if his emotions became too much. The pictures he has of them would help motivate him to confess, if not today... then never. "Are you okay Jungkook? You're quiet today." I'm always quiet. You just spend all your time with Taehyung so you never notice.

"Yeah...I've got a lot on my mind..." He opens up the dark room, the Christmas lights decorating the walls provided a soft white glow.

"Tell me what's up Kook, maybe I can help." After Jimin sat down, Jungkook locked the door behind him. "... What's going on?" The blond's heart accelerated when the taller strode over to him. "Y-you're scaring me..."

"I don't want you to feel scared Min." Jimin slided further down the bed, the younger sat next to him hoping he didn't come on too strong.

Jimin's heart was pounding in his ears, focusing on his friend's eyes. The younger's brown iris shone in the calming light, the pupils dilated to encompass the beauty that is Park Jimin. "You know... we don't talk anymore."

Ha. "There's a reason for that." He should know it, right?

"Why Kookie? Tell me what's going on in your life." I guess not... "I'm here for you, you know." Jimin wanted to seem calm, helpful even but when he put his hand on Jungkook's back, the younger shrugged it off. His heart dropped.

"It's not because of me. It's because of..." Should he say it?

"Of?..."

"You can't be serious. It's so obvious your boyfriend doesn't want us hanging out anymore."

"W-What?" Jimin thought his friend was going through some problems at home but he's complaining about Taehyung? "I didn't come here so you could talk smack about Tae."

"You're so blind. Can't you see he's jealous?"

"Jealous!" Now Jimin was mad. He stood up, almost bonking his head on the hanging light. "Jealous? Why would he be jealous? I hang out with other guys all the time, Hoseok especially. What makes you so different?"

Jungkook's cheeks heated up, he couldn't exactly say why when they were fighting. "Because... well... I-"

"You don't have a reason. You're just bitter because we're happy and you're not!"

"Bullshit!" Now Jungkook stood up. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"It's true! I'm sure you could find someone if you focused all your energy on them." The younger wanted to cry. How could he make him understand?

"It's not that I don't like someone I just... they're out of my reach." Jimin looked up and down at the blushing boy in front of him. So he does like someone... Of course Jimin couldn't make the cut of Jungkook's type. He always knew it.

"What's her name?" He couldn't help but sound spiteful. He couldn't lie by saying he didn't still have feelings for the younger.

"His name..." Even worse. "Why do you care anyways? We're barely friends anymore! I never see you, hang out with you and the worst part is you're not hurting like I am! You're so happy without me it makes me feel like shit! Do I really not matter that much to you?"

"Don't say that..." Jimin whispered.

"Why can't I? I'm... I'm dying here Min. And you couldn't give a shit."

"I do care!" Maybe too much. "You're the one that hasn't talked to me in forever, I thought I did something wrong!"

"Yeah well you did Jimin! You fucked up."

"How? Just tell me, we can fix this!"

"You chose wrong." Jungkook was tired. Maybe he didn't confess today but he did let out out some of his resentment towards his friend.

Jimin, on the other hand, was so confused. What did he chose? He reached out to squeeze Jungkook's arm but the younger backed up. The brunette couldn't even look at Jimin, he knew he would fall apart. "Jung-"

"Just go. I-I need some time." Time? Wasn't that all he gave nowadays? Jimin wanted to hug Jungkook. He hated how bottled up he was about his thoughts and feelings, how he had built up these walls around him.

"Okay... Bye Jungkook." But he wanted to respect his wishes. He didn't press further, scared to rip the last string holding them together. "I'll see you later."

The brunette let him leave on his own, the jiggle of the door handle breaking the silence. He trusted Jimin to lock and close the door on his way out, if not, he didn't really care anymore. He didn't want to say bye, to end their conversation. He wanted to continue telling Jimin just how much he was hurting from all of the hand holding, Taehyung's stolen kisses in the hallways or even the fresh bruises on Jimin's neck that he tried so desperately to cover up with make up. He wasn't stupid. But he wishes he was. He wishes he didn't give a damn about their friendship and told Jimin that he loved him when he had the chance. Now... now everything is messed up and he doesn't know how to fix it.

Just as he thought, he would end up needing the pillow. He used it to silence his pathetic cries for the blond. He knew that after today, he drove a bigger wedge between them. And it would appear he was the only one in pain from it.

So Jungkook came up with a resolution. He's done showing his feelings to other people. It only ends up in heartbreak.

Y'all should DM me. Just saying.
