Simons POV

I admit I did make loads of mistakes when I was younger but I can tell you for sure that my son is not a mistake Charlie is the best thing that's ever happened to me, I'm going to Give him the best and be the best dad to him. If anyone ever hurts my little boy then their will be hell to pay.

Charlie is 4 and his mum left him with me when he was 1 year so I've brought him up since then, I don't care though, in fact it doesn't bother me one little bit, as long as Charlie has me then he's fine. I won't be like my dad, going to get drunk and leaving me, yeah he came back in the end but that is not the point here, the point is he didn't really spend time with me, and I'm not going to make he same mistake with my son.

"Daddy can I go football practice at a school?" Charlie came bouncing into the livings room with a huge hopeful smile on his face. Seeing Charlie happy was the main goal in my life and it made me happy too "of course you can bud, I wouldn't stop you" I smiled as he reached for a hug. "Thank you daddy" he smiled kissing me and I kissed his forehead back.

"How about we go to the park ey?" I asked him causing him to not happily "can we invite Lexi and Sophie?" Charlie asked me sweetly and I smiled. Lexi is our next door neighbour and sophie is her daughter, I have to admit for the last two years of living next to Lexi I've liked her and even Charlie and sophie get along well.

"If their not busy we can" I tell the bouncing four year old who laughed before running from the living room and up the stairs to his room, well I'm guessing that's where he's going. I leave the living room and put on my shoes waiting for Charlie.

Charlie soon comes walking down the stairs and jumps off the bottom step giggling "I'm ready daddy" he smiled, I handed him his Navy blue jacket and he slipped his arms into the arm holes before struggling to do his zip up, I stop him before helping zip him up. We went to the door and left the house me locking the door while I see Charlie run next door "Charlie Barlow wait their" I warned my son who had ran off to out Neighbors house but he just continued to run up to the door "Charlie James Barlow stop now!" I shout to my son who stops in his tracks after I used his full name.

"Sorry Daddy, me just wanted to get Sophie" Charlie frowned as I got next to him and crouched down in front of him "you don't run off from me okay Charlie! If you rub off someone might take you and we don't want that now do we" I warned my son, he shock his head and wrapped his arms around me "I'm sorry daddy, I won't do it again" Charlie sobbed into my shoulder as I hugged him tight forgiving him.

"It's okay, just don't do it again okay bud?" I asked my son who nodded into my shoulder and I wiped his eyes "now stop crying, We don't want Sophie seeing you cry do we" I asked my son who grinned "daddy do you like Lexi? sophie said her mummy likes you" Charlie asked with a smile on his face making me smile, it was cute how he was telling me this.

"Did she now munchkin, do you think I like Lexi?" I asked the smiling boy stood in front of me "YESSS! You like Lexi!!" He giggles and I smiled, he never misses a thing, neither does Lexi's daughter Sophie. I take Charlie's hand as we walk up the garden path, I knocked on the door to Lexis house and heard Sophie's giggle "Simon, how are the pair of you?" Lexi asked me with a smile on her face "were great, in fact were wondering if you and Sophie would like to join us to the park, it was Charlie's idea" I smiled

"Are you sure it wasn't your idea" Lexi smiled, maybe it was partly my idea but  it's not like I was going to tell Lexi that "all Charlie's, so will you join us?" I asked with Charlie bouncing beside me "soph would you like to go to the park with Simon and Charlie" Lexi asked her daughter who was skipping through the  hall to where her mum was stood talking to me.

"Really Mummy, can we, can we?" Sophie giggled seeing Charlie smile "go and get your shoes and coats on then we will go" Lexi smiled to her daughter "come in while we get ready, make yourself at home" she the smiled to me and Charlie ran inside followed by me walking.

Half an hour later  we were at the park Charlie and Sophie were off playing while me and Lexi were just talking "is it true that you like me? Sophie told me that Charlie said you liked me" Lexi smiled causing me to smile too "it's true" I smiled watching Lexi lean in and she kissed me, I didn't pull away in fact I pulled Lexi in closer not breaking the kiss.

"Ewww Mummy" "Ewwww Daddy" Sophie giggles while Charlie laughs saying eww. "So what does that mean for us?" Lexi asked and I smiled "well I've liked you for the last year, I didn't want to admit this but I like you" I smiled to the Brunette sat in front of me "so Simon will you  go on a date with me" Lexi asked smirking with me responding with a yes.
