Chapter 9
Jack J's P.O.V.
"Dude, what the hell?" I exclaimed. "You should have given me time to call you back!"
"I couldn't wait for you to call back! I had to know right away!" Jack retorted back.
I ran a hand through my blond hair and sighed with anxiety. Sage would kill me if she found him here.
"Sage isn't going to be happy to see you." I informed him, although I knew it would be the total opposite.
Jack's face dropped at the sound of her name. Wow. He really loved her. I almost felt bad for having feelings for her myself. Jack sighed. "Yeah, I know. I just... I have to see her. I have to get her back in my life. I miss her loads, and she probably has no idea how much I need her."
Just as he was finished talking, Catherina came downstairs. She saw Jack G and her eyes widened. "Gills!" she exclaimed, running to hug him. Wow, she still called him that? "Oh my gosh, you're so handsome now!"
I looked at Jack and he was hugging her back. "It's great to see you too. I'm sorry to surprise you like this, but Jack made me come down here." he smirked at me.
Oh no, he is not pinning this on me.
I smirked back. "Nah, I haven't talked to him since before I left. I never made him come."
Jack shot me the deadliest glance, I'm not even joking. I was going to get it.
"If you wanted to come why don't you just say that?" Catherina chuckled.
She pulled away and Jack shrugged. "I don't know." he muttered.
Just then, I heard a feminine gasp, that sounded like...
Sage...
Jack G's P.O.V.
I turned around and I saw her. "Sage..."
Jack was right. She is so beautiful.
Her light brown hair was down to just under her shoulders, and it looked like she had bleached a strip of her hair blonde a little while ago, because her roots had been growing out a lot. Her hazel eyes were filled with shock. She looked to be around 5'6, and to be honest, her style hadn't changed a bit. She was wearing a jean jacket and bright blue jeans, with teal TOMS on.
Behind her stood a boy that had had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and he was way taller then her. Is that her boyfriend?
Sage's mouth opened, but no sounds came out of her mouth. "Umm, hey..." I awkwardly said.
Sage hardly blinked. "What are you doing here?" she finally spoke, softly.
I sighed and turned to look at her. "Sage, can I talk to you, in private?" I asked.
Sage's hard gaze burned into my face, and I felt the nerves kick in. I had to apologize.
Sage sighed. "Fine. Come to the backyard." she said, pushing past the other boy, and turning a corner. I quickly slipped past him, and followed her.
"Look, Sage, I-" I began, but was cut off by her angry words.
"I have no clue what the hell you were thinking coming down here, but it was stupid!" she snapped. "I am so pissed at you for one, those things you said to me two years ago, and two, for not even bothering to come until now! I don't know why you're here!"
I felt anger rise up in my chest as well. "Oh and you're little miss perfect, it's not like you didn't say them right back two years ago, and by the way, you didn't even bother to call either?" I snapped right back at her.
Sage moaned and rubbed her forehead. "Jack, just..." she covered her face with her palms.
"Sage, I came to-"
"I don't even want to hear it Jack! Just leave me alone!" Sage cried, running out of the backyard and into the house.
I stood there for a minute, trying to take in what had just happened. I need to try harder to get her back.
Awwwe, oh my gosh, poor Jack! The draaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa is oooooooooon!!!
I have to go do homework now...
OR NAHHHHHHHH
Hell nah, ain't nobody got time for that shit. *throws paper away*
Just kidding, I kinda need that for my project.
UGH, STUPID HOMEWORK
Keep Shining!
xx Sarah
