Everyone knew about the rivalry between two Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor and Slytherin. It was however, a surprise to a lot of people when they came across a friendship, or even a relationship between the members of both houses.
Ronald Weasley, was one of those Gryffindors who will not hesitate to trash talk a Slytherin. Well, that was until he met (Y/N). The Slytherin girl who sat quietly on class, until Draco Malfoy will do some snarky comment and the girl will whip around and threaten to punch him. She will not tolerate any more prejudice. It was a mystery what attracted him to her, for him at least. Maybe it was the fierce attitude she had when someone insulted her or one of her friends or anybody. Although, she will be calm most of the time...sitting down next to a tree close to Hagrid's cottage; a place where Ron had spotted her there by herself. He had kept his curiosity for himself, but his friends were quicken to spot his interest on her.
And it was not until fourth year that he had the guts to asked her to the Yule Ball. The girl sat down on a stool during Herbology. She had decided to seat next to Neville Longbottom, a boy who enjoyed her company and vice versa. As they were discussing a few things, Ron quietly approached them. He coughed awkwardly, catching both of their attention. Ronald looked down at his shoes, before finding having the guts to talk to her. "Neville, could you give us a minute." Ron asked, looking at his fellow Gryffindor. The girl shrugged, and nodded at Neville who gave her a small smile before leaving her and the ginger boy.
"Ron, right? You are with me in most of my classes. I know your brothers, they a really funny." (Y/N) said, smiling at Ron. Ron looked down at her green and black scarf, a small frown forming on his face. "If you are going to comment something bad about my house and or me you should have let Neville stayed." She said quickly, noticing him eyeing her Slytherin scarf.
"I...umm...will you like to go..m-maybe....with." Ron stuttered. He sighed, looking back at her. "Will you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?" Ron asked her.
(Y/M) smiled back, nodding at him. "Yeah." The girl quickly replied. Ron nodded at her as she watched her leave. Ron relaxed, but stopped when he saw Harry running towards him. Ron smiled tirumpathly at Harry. "She said yes. To me! Can you believe that, mate?" Ron said, smiling at Harry.
"Who?" Harry asked him, confused on who he was talking about. Ron did not answered, but still smiled as he walked out.

It was clear the faces of poor shock when (Y/N) walked down the stairs, and took Ron's arm. The girl had been wearing a beautiful dress that suited her well. Ron glared at the other students who shamelessly stared at her. Harry looked at Ron with a small smirk on his face as he saw Ron smiled back at his date. The girl looked at Harry and gave him a kind smile. "Hi, I'm (Y/N)." Ron's date said, giving Harry a polite nod.
"Is she..." Harry started, but Ron cut her off.
"M-my date." Ron said to him. Harry nodded quietly at him. "Shall we?" Ron asked her, taking her arm. The girl nodded, in which she agreed. It all went mostly well, until Ron let his confidence drop by some of his Gryffindors classmates, who knew that she was a Slytherin. He stopped dancing and talking to her. His date had enough of it, and decided to be by her own. Ron sat down next to Harry, holding back his urge to get his date.
"I thought you will be dancing with your date?" Harry asked his best friend, as he watched how his date started to dance with Hermione.
"I did too." Ron muttered.
"Then what are you doing here?" Harry asked him. Ron rolled his eyes at him. "Go on. Talk to her. Do it before one of Durmstrang boys steal her from you." Harry encouraged Ron. Ron stood up from his seat, and walked up to her; who had just taken a seat by herself.
"Do..you want to dance?" Ron asked his not so anymore date. (Y/N) looked up from her seat, glaring at him.
"So that you could just look good? Or does Ronald Weasley finally started to ignore what other people think of him?" She asked him, standing up from her seat. She looked at him from the feet up.
Ron sighed, looking from his feet and up to her. "Yeah, and I was a bloody idiot to just listen to them. Want to dance?" Ron asked her. She smiled at him, and took his hand. "I will take that as a yes." He muttered, pulling her to the dance floor.
(Y/N) giggle, looking down at Ron's clothe. "You look adorable." She said, leaning to his ear. Ron's cheek turned a dark shade of pink. Although, she did not noticed. From a distance, Harry looked perplexed, but smiled none the less at his best friend. He then saw George giving Fred ten gallons, which he presumed was for a bet.
Ron was hesitant to put his hands on her waist as a slower song started. "I though Gryffindors were supposed to be brave." The girl joked, taking Ron's hand and putting them on her waist whilst she rested her head on his shoulder. Ron laughed lightly, his blush increasing. "You know, I'm quite happy you asked me out. I had my eyes set on your for quite a while, but the way you spoke against Slytherin did decreased my thoughts on talking to you." The girl confessed to Ron.
Ron pulled away slightly, shrugging at her. "I'm sorry. The comments weren't intended to you. Just to Draco." Ron told her. She nodded at him, before looking at where the fruit juice was at.
"You want to have a good laugh. Look at Draco. I jinxed the juice so that every time he is near it, it will spill on him." She said, laughing at her prank. Ron followed her eyes, watching how Draco tried to drink the juice and ended up wet from head to toe. Ron chuckled back at her.

Towards the end of their fourth year, Ron tried to denied his friendship with her, and she noticed this a couple of times. Her decision was made, and it was that she will ignore it, just like he sometimes did. It took all of Ron's will power not turn around and say hi to her. It was just all because of other people's opinions. This change on the last week of school.
Ron had gone over to look for (Y/N) to apologize, and promising her, he will make it up to her during the summer. He eventually found her sitting by herself again, under a tree while reading a book about magical creatures. He knew the other Slytherins teased her for her liking of the Magical Creatures.
Ron stopped in front of her. The girl looked up from her book, glaring slightly at him. "Hi...I'm actually really new to this. I'm not the greatest at talking to girls, nor I have had any experience before. So, I'm sorry I have ignored you. I'm a bloody idiot and I promise I will never do it again. I should not listen to the other people's comments." Ron said, talking a seat next to her.
The girl did not answered. An hour had passed and Ron still sat quietly next to her. By the second hour, the girl sighed. "Fine." She said quietly. Ron smiled in response. "But I'm not letting you that easy." The girl added.
"Oh, I wasn't betting on it...what are you doing this summer?" Ron asked her.
The girl shrugged at him in repose. "I'm visiting my grandparents for a few weeks, but other than that nothing." The girl said quietly to him.
"Do you, maybe come to my home sometime. Ummm, my mom cooking is bloody amazing." Ron said to her. The girl nodded at him.

The two were inseparable during the summer, and their feelings grew. Eventually fifth year rolled around, leading them to meet the evil woman, or as some called her the pink toad, Dolores Umbridge. Ron had to once held her back from snapping at the woman in their Defense Against the Dark Magic.
It was quite of a shock to most Gryffindors when the Slytherin girl entered Hog's Head. Ignoring the few glares of some of her classmates, she walked up to the table and took the quill in her hand. "Nice to see you again, Harry." She said quietly, giving him and Hermione a polite smile.
"Who called her here?" Some student shouted behind her. Ron stood up from his chair, angered at how she was being treated.
"I did. Got a problem?" Ron said, raising his voice.
"Yeah, got a problem?" Fred and George said, turning to face the Gryffindor boy. The twins looked at her, and she quietly nodded at them.
"No." The boy gulped, sitting down back on his chair.
Ron saw how she fidgeted with the quill while she looked the other way. Ron looked at Harry. "I was the one who called her here. Just give her a chance." Ron whispered to Harry. Harry nodded, who was either way giving a part on Dumbledore's Army.
Hermione stood up, and coughed a little bit. The girl looked up to her with somewhat confidence. "You hate that pink toad as well? Don't you?" Hermione asked her, giving her an encouraging smile.
Ron could not avoid the smile creeping on his face when he saw her smiling. "With burning passion. Who do you thought was the one who mixed her drink with a potion. She had a sick stomach for almost a whole week." (Y/N) quietly said, earning a set of laughs from behind her.
"We saw her doing it." Fred told the Golden Trio.
"And now she is helping us with out new sweets." George added.
"Thanks guys. I will see you around." The girl quietly said before, setting the quill down. "And just a heads up, I heard Draco is Umbridge's new favorite. I will watch your back, Harry. I know he hates, you." She told Harry Potter before putting her gloves back on. "It was nice to see you boys, and you as well Hermione. Honestly, you are genius. Brightest witch of your age. Never let other use some idiotic name to ruin you. If somebody says something, call me and I will hex them to the oblivion. You have my word." She said before quickly leaving the building.
Ron looked quickly at his friends before putting his scarf back on. "I have to go too. Ummm...McGonagall has to have a word with me. Meet you back at the castle." Ron said in a rush before following the Slytherin girl. "(Y/N)" Ron yelled, making her stop. "I didn't got a chance to ask you. What are you doing next week, on the next Hogmade trip?" Ron asked her.
The Slytherin girl smiled at him. "I'm not doing anything." She said, smiling at him.
"Well, I was thinking...maybe...date." Ron said bluntly. She laughed lightly, nodding at him.
"It will be really nice." She said quietly. The date was a success, and it repeated consistently. Ron will leave Hermione and Harry, and meet (Y/N) next to Hagrid's cottage. Weeks turned into months, and they hapiness grew.
(Y/N) was one of the people in her house who will not tolerate the woman. Reason behind her getting a scar on her hand, after she was forced to write on the paper with a magic quill that used her blood as ink.
It was one late afternoon, and she had left Umbridge's office for the second time in a weak. She cursed, filling the pain on her hand. As she turned around the corner to meet Ron for a study session, she ran up to him. Ron looked at her with a small smile, which then fall noticing her bitter state. "What's wrong?" Ron asked her, pulling her closer to him by sneaking a arm around her waist.
"Nothing." The girl looking down at the floor. "Let's go and eat." She said quickly, but Ron blocked her path. He followed his eyes down to the small drops of blood on the floor. He took her hand, shocking her.
"That..." Ron started but his girlfriend stopped him.
"It's fine. It will heal in a few days. You don't want to get one of these? I bet you don't, so don't continue that sentence." The girl told him quietly. Ron was about to speak again, so the Slytherin girl smashed her lips against his, silencing him. The hesitantly pulled away, her cheeks burning up.
"I should start saying more stupid things more often." Ron muttered, talking her hand while walking to the Great Hall. Once the doors opened up, the girl let go of Ron's hand and went to take a seat at her table. Ron watched her go, confused on her actions. When the girl sat her table, most Slytherin stood up, and took another seat. Ron sighed, watching the scene in ager as he sat next to Harry. However, his last straw broke when Draco stood up from his seat an yelled at her direction.
"Hey, traitor. What now? Are you going to cry because of how many scars you have on your hands. That's why you should have followed the rules." Draco yelled at her. Ron was about to intervene but was stopped by Harry and Neville who could clearly see the glares he was throwing at Draco.
The girl stood up, raising her fist. "You will be the one crying about scars when I finish with you, white ferret." She yelled at him, earning a few laughs from the rest of the student, who all knew how Draco got transformed into one last year.
"Oh, yeah." Draco said, taking out his wand.
Ron pushed Neville and Harry, standing up from his seat and raising his own wand. "Don't you dare point that at her!" Ron yelled at him, getting more of shock from the audience.
"Enough, put down your wands!" McGonagall said, raising from her plate. Then the girl ran towards Draco before punching him in the face. "I said enough." McGonagall said, running to stop the fighting. Fred and George quickly quiet down, not wanting to get the professor of Transfiguration more mad than what she already was.
A few Slytherin boys pulled the girl off Draco, shoving her against the wall in the process. McGonagall walked quickly towards her, followed by the head of her house: Severus Snape. "You didn't say anything about fist." She quietly said, earning a small smile from Ron who had approached the scene, just to make sure she was fine.
"What is going on here?" Umbridge said, catching everyone's attention. As an instinct, (Y/N) reached for her hand, glaring at the woman.
"Nothing that could not be solved." McGonagall said, catching the site of the fresh wounds in the girl's hand, something she had earned just by challenging a tyrant.
"She punched my face." Draco told them.
"Ahh, my father willl hear about this. Blah, blah, blah. It seems to be your favorite line." The girl snapped back at Draco. McGonagall successfully hide the smile that was creeping on her face.
"That behavior is unacceptable." Umbridge said, glaring at the girl.
"And that is why, she will be punished at my consent since I'm her head of house." Snape told the pink toad, nodding at the girl. The girl walked away, and decided to seat on the edge of the table. Ron took a seat next to her, ignoring the bickering between the pink woman and Snape.
"That was bloody brilliant. I love you." Ron said quickly, earning a smile from her. He then realized what he said, but calmed once he saw her widen smile. "Come and seat with me." Ron told her.
"I thought you wanted to keep this secret." She whispered to him.
"Is that why you stopped holding my hand?" Ron asked her. She nodded. "Well, not necessary. You are my girlfriend, I'm not going to hide you." Ron told her.
"Okay." She said, standing up along with Ron. She followed him to his table, and sat between him and Harry. Hermione gave her a welcoming smile.
"I think what you did was brilliant." Hermione praised her.
"Me too. I got an awesome girlfriend." Ron told her. Harry chocked on his juice, spitting some into the air. The girl patted him on the back, hoping it will help. "You are alright, mate?" Ron asked his best friend, who was looking between him and her.
"You...two?" Harry asked.
"Yeah." The girl admitted, motioning to be silent about it. "But if I were you all, I will keep quiet about it. Being a Slytherin has its benefits. I have been receiving information on the Inquisitor Squad's plans. If we, which hopefully Ron will agree with, continue being silent then...I can let you guys known when they are near and what they known so far." She said to them. She then looked at Ron, who seemed hesitant, but nodded nonetheless. And so the girl kept her word, and spied for Dumbledore's Army.

Sixth year came, and only the Weasley Twins were aware of their relationship after they had caught the two of them kissing behind a tree. Even though Harry and Hermione knew, they kept quiet about it; and it was not until this year that Ron took the matter into his own hands.
It was an early morning, and Ron had been sitting on a table with Harry and Hermione, while staring lovingly at his girlfriend who was tutoring a young Hufflepuff on potions. "Hey, (Y/N)! He yelled, making Harry and Hermione jump.
She turned around, at the sound of her name. "What's wrong? Ronald." She yelled back. Ron gave her a flirtous smile.
"Are you coming today to the game?" Ron asked her.
She rolled her eyes at him. "For what?" She asked back, a small playing on her lips.
Ron send a wink on her direction. "To cheer me up, of course." He answered, causing her to laugh.
"And why would I do that?" She asked him, teasing him.
Ron shrugged, winking again at her. "Because you love me." He yelled at her, causing her to roll her eyes at him.
Nevertheless, Ron's girlfriend showed up at his quidditch game, deciding to take a seat next to a pair of twins she loved. She tightened her Gryffindor scarf that Ron had lend her in one of their dates.
"Hey, I hope you have been causing the double of havoc without us." Fred said, pushing George slightly so that she could seat in between them. The girl laugh nodding along. It soon died down however, when she saw a blonde wearing a small white poster that had Ron's name on it.
"What the hell is she doing?" The girl asked, was looking at Lavender Brown. She sighed, coughing loudly while getting out a small spell while pointing her wand at her. Suddenly, the poster caught on fire. Lavender Brown shrieked, letting go of it. The Weasley Twins held back their laughs as they both high fived the Slytherin girl.
"Our brother picked the right one, George." Fred told his twin. Their attention was bought to the game when the team entered. It was an exciting game, in which Gryffindor won. The whole Gryffindor stand broke in cheers. Ron spotted his girlfriend on them next to her older brothers. He flew towards her with his broom, stopping right in front of her, and in a swift movement he kissed her. (Y/N) smiled to the kiss, putting her arms around his shoulders. He pulled away, kissing both of her cheeks.
