A twisted grin spread along Mayef's face after he greeted the group. He stopped at his tracks for them to see him. Pale, ghostly white face with dark red rings around murderous green eyes. A stone face carved with a smile which seems to say, "Welcome to hell".

"I'm impressed," he said in a cold voice, "I never thought Raizen's offspring could ever be this courageous." he took another step towards the group. "Just imagine, heading all the way from ningenkai, just to face his death?"

"Don't you compare me to that monster, bakayaro!!!" replied Yusuke, "You were no better than he ever was!"

Yusuke expected Mayef to react to this, but Mayef simply ignored it and continued towards them. He suddenly looked up, eyes shining, Yusuke waited for an attack, but Mayef stood still and didn't move.

"C'mon, bakayaro! Make your move!" he thought.

"What the...!" said Kuwabara as he fell suddenly to the ground.

"Yusuke!" yelled Kurama.

Yusuke turned around just in time to see a decayed corpse reaching out to him. It was suddenly slashed in two by Hiei. The rest of the decayed demons started standing one by one.

"Kissa..." hissed Yusuke as he punched one after another. He looked at Mayef who simply watched from a distance. He spat on the ground and cursed as he headed towards the youki, smashing one corpse after another with his glowing fist.

"Yusuke, no!" yelled Kurama as he saw Yusuke charge at Mayef.

"Kisama, I'll show you who you're dealing with!" he leaped in the air, aiming his index finger at the monster.

Mayef didn't move. He was staring blankly at thin air and continued doing so. Yusuke was about a foot away from him when he suddenly looked at his direction. He got a good look at the beast's eyes. They were blank. It was just like staring at the eyes of a Japanese doll, only, more frightening, for you could feel the absence of life in them...hollow...dead. He was too caught by Mayef's eyes that he was surprised when an invincible force drove him flying through the air.

"Urameshi!" he heard Kuwabara yell from behind him before hitting the ground. The dead bodies suddenly pilled over him.

"Yusuke!" cried Kurama, heading towards the fallen comrade, snapping the heads off two more zombies. He was about to reach his friend when he heard a shout.

"Rei gun!!!" yelled Yusuke. The zombies above him bulged and disolved altogether as the light of the rei gun passed their decayed bodies.

"Uramashi! There's too many of them! We'll never finish this in time!" yelled Kuwabara. "You go ahead and round up the others!"

"Hai!" replied Yusuke, holding off another group of zombies. "Cover me!"

Yusuke leaped into the air and was about to land on a mob of angry zombies when a thick vine emerged from the ground, throwing the zombies and catching Yusuke, growing wide enough for him to pass.

"Arigatou, Kurama, thought yusuke to himself as he made his way towards the floating koorime village. He looked back at his friends fighting beneath him. "Take care of yourselves."

There's a fight right beneath us!" said Ringo as he ran towards the others, he had been on guard and have just arrived to tell his companions about the news while trying to catch his breath. "It must be Mayef, he've finally found us!"

"Kissa!" hissed Chu, "And just when I'm beginning to feel at home!"

"What do we do now? The other's are still recuperating, some of them haven't even awaken yet!" asked Ringo.

"First things first." said Mukuro. "Take the women and children to a safe place. All the wounded should go with them. The rest, to your places." She looked at the other youki before them. They all looked back with brave eyes, "We may not stand a chance, but we will never give up without a fight!"

"Yes! We will never give up!" cried Chu, raising his fist.

"Never!" said the other Youki behind them.

"Oy! Minna!" called a voice from afar, "Thank heavens you're okay!"

Mukuro and the rest looked at the direction of the voice as Yusuke's familiar face greeted them.

"Yusuke! At last!" cried Kouko from the crowd, "You have finally arrived!"

"There's no time for chitchat, we've got to help Kurama and the rest!"

"Where are they any way?" asked Chu.

"Beneath us, fighting off Myef's zombies!"

"Well? What are we waiting for?" asked Touya, coming out from the crowd with Jin, "Let's go!"

Fera hummed happily to herself as she jumped from one step to another. Baa-san was busy preparing dinner back in the house and told her she could play around for a while. She liked the place very much. It was full of beautiful trees and other greeneries and the birds were all singing a tune for her. she was still jumping down the steps when Toji appeared at the foot of the road. She stopped in her tracks and looked at him cautiously.

"Konnichiwa, Fera sama." greeted Toji with a nod.

"Konnichiwa." she replied, not taking her eyes off the youki.

"What are you doing?" he asked again.

"Nothing. Baa-san told me I could play around the shrine for a while."

"Can I join you?" asked the youki with a friendly smile. He lifted his hand, the air around him wrinkling. Fera stared as his eyes shimmered, looking more like Yusuke's brown eyes. His flaming hair shortened and changed to a darker shade of brown, his pale skin flushed with blood.

"I can't," replied fera as she watched the youki change before her eyes. "Yusuke and the others told me not to talk to you. They said you were evil."

"Have I ever hurt you, Fera?" was the simple reply.

"No." Fera answered back.

"Do you think I'm evil?" he asked with begging eyes as he slowly went up the steps, the wards not affecting him.

Fera thought back to the first time she met Toji, it was back when the real evil ningen chased after her. The second time was when Keiko had hit her and Yusuke wasn't able to defend her.

"No." she answered back and gave Toji a warm smile. "C'mon, let's go play in the woods!"

"No, I have a much better idea!" said Toji, "Let's go to the sea, Fera!" with that, Toji's appearance changed once more. Fera watched with amazement as his figure took the shape of her beloved Yusuke.

"Yusuke!" cried Fera with joy, "How did you do that, Toji? Can you teach me how to do that too?"

"I will," replied Toji in Yusuke's voice, "some other time, for now, we're going to the sea!"

Fera ran happily to Toji - Yuusuke's side as the other took her hand. Together they head out the shrine and went on their way to the sea.

"Shizuru, I want you to be the maid of honor, please be there." said Keiko happily to her friend.

"I woundn't miss it for the world." replied Shizuru with a puff of her cigar.

"I can't wait for our wedding," said Keiko, "I still can't believe he finally asked me to marry him! For real, that is!" Keiko looked at her friend smiling, her eyes gleamed, she was so happy and she wanted to share her happiness to every one.

"I wonder when my brother would ask Yuukina to marry him?" thought Shizuru, returning the smile. Keiko went on babbling to her about the preparations for the wedding day and the people she would invite. Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted when she saw Yusuke at the other side of the street with a beautiful pale girl by his side.

"Keiko, didn't Yusuke leave for Makai last night?" she asked.

"Yes, but he promised he would be back soon for the we..." Keiko froze. She saw Yusuke with Fera by his side, walking hand in hand.

"Who's that cute kid with him?" asked Shizuru, but Keiko was already fusing over to the two youki.

"How far do we still have to go, Toji?" asked Fera as she held the other's hand and swing it to and fro as they walked.

"Just a little farther."

"But I can't be gone for too long, Baa-san might get worried!"

"Well, it could be a lot faster if we use a teleportation spell, although I cannot do it in this form." explained her companion. "But you can."

"But I don't know how to!" said Fera.

"Yes you do, you just don't remember it, but don't be bothered so, I will help you remember." Toji faced Fera and smiled at her. Fera blushed at the sight of Yusuke's smirk, somehow, that smirk seems very familiar. "Close your eyes, Fera-sama, put all thoughts aside and picture the sea..."

Fera closed her eyes and did as she was told. She pictured the blue abyss with its cool water splashing on the sandy shore, the white birds flying over it, and the fishes swimming beneath it. Just as Yusuke have described it. She was still doing so when she heard someone call from behind.

"Yusuke!" yelled Keiko full of rage. Fera opened her eyes just in time to see the evil woman approach Toji and slap him hard across the face. Toji went slumping to the ground, hit his head on the pavement and fell unconscious.

"Toji!" cried Fera as Keiko stood with her back against her, her shoulders heaving as she breathed hard.

"Keiko, what are you doing?!?" asked another ningen woman Fera didn't recognize."...there's something very wrong going on here..." she added.

Keiko didn't listen to Shizuru. With anger still in her eyes, she faced Fera next.

"You bitch!" she yelled, "You just don't get it, do you?" she approached Fera and pushed her, "You just don't know when you give up!" lifting her hands to the air, she aimed it at the wide-eyed menear and slapped her face.

Fera stumbled and fell on the pavement face first. Blood trailed down from her nose. Slowly, she lifted herself up to her knees. A gush of blood flowed from a wound on her temple.

"Keiko, that's enough!" cried Shizuru, coming to the aid of the pale girl, but for Keiko, it wasn't enough.

"You think you could steal Yusuke from me, do you?" she hissed. "You can never have him! Not as long as I'm alive! Not as long as I have his ring!" with that, she extended her right hand to show the menear the engagement ring Yusuke gave her. "Have you got that?!?"

Fera didn't stir. She kept kneeling beside Shizuru who had a supporting arm around her, her hair obscuring her face. So still she didn't seem to breath. Toji started to come to from behind them, shaking his head. Shizuru suddenly pulled her hands away and stared at the pale girl beside her.

"He is mine." said the Menear in a strange far-away voice. "No one can take him away form me."

"You bitch!" yelled Keiko, daring to approach Fera once more.

"Keiko, nooo!!!" warned Shizuru, fear evident in her voice as she stepped away from the strange girl. Keiko ignored her totally. She was about to hit the girl again when the Menear finally faced up, a mad expression in her face, her eyes a complete blank, a twisted smile on her blood lips. Keiko stopped at her tracks as the Menear's hair brushed away from her face, revealing a golden sign like that of a letter 'V'. It glowed in the darkness with her eyes. Slowly, Fera rose to her feet. Keiko was full of freight. She tried to run, but was stuck to where she stood.

"Raizen is mine..." said the youki before her, "he belongs to me. No one can take him away."

The ground around them quivered and exploded, sending shards all over the place and aimed at Keiko. "No one!!!"

"Nooo!" screamed Keiko as she covered her self. She wasn't hit though, for Shizuru pulled her away just in time. Fera watched them as they tried to escape from her wrath.

"Going somewhere?" Fera suddenly appeared in front of the two.

"Leave us alo--" an invisible force sent Shiuru flying to the fence. Keiko yelled, shaking with fear. Her eyes filled with panic as she faced the Menear.

Fera smiled evilly at her, bearing her sharp canine, her golden eyes shining in the dark. She stretched her hand towards Keiko whose own left arm extended forward.

"You stole him away from me..." said Fera, "now, you pay."

With that, Keiko's ring finger snapped, sending her blood spurting in all directions. Keiko screamed as Fera took her finger from the pavement and removed the ring from it. "Now you're no longer engaged." she said in her normal voice, a sweet smile on her face. "Now, Raizen will come back to me" With the blink of an eye, Fera appeared at Toji's side. She helped him up, while the other immediately returned to his real form. "Make haste, Toji, Raizen awaits me." Said the Menear. She then looked back at Keiko who was screaming at her hand. A dark ball of energy appeared before the Menear and raced towards the noisy ningen. She turned her back from the bitch and went on her way.

"Raizen," she said, "I'm back."

With that, consciousness left Fera. She fell gently on Toji's outstretched arms.

"It is time." said the other youki. Both of them disappeared.

"Urameshi!" yelled Kuwabara as he sliced another zombie with his reiken. "What's taking you so long?!?"

His question was answered by the cries of their comrades as they descended from the floating village.

"Hey guys, left any for us?" asked Jin as he floated in mid air.

"Don't worry, there's more than enough for everybody." replied Kurama.

Together they fought off the menacing zombies; fighting side by side, but still, no one dare to face the rebel god Mayef.

That's strange," observed Enki as he fought back to back with Kouko, "All these youki are dead! Doesn't Mayef have any live soldiers left?"

"Maybe they're all having fun somewhere." replied his wife.

"They're all guarding the gateways leading out to ningenkai and reikai." Mukuro answered from beside them. "There is nothing left here but the bodies of those they have slain along the way."

"And it seems that we have no chance of winning against all of them," Suzuki pipped in, "not unless we can fight for a year!"

"Hey, never say no, right Yusuke?" asked Shishiwakamaru, but the lad who was right beside him just a few seconds ago was now charging at Mayef for the second time.

"You want to stop somethin'," said he to himself, "you got to aim at the root." He aimed a fist at Mayef. "SHINEEE!!!" with a scream of rage, Yusuke ran towards the Youki. Mayef raised his gaze and simply looked at him, but as he did, Yusuke disappeared and showed up behind him.

"REI GUN!!!"

Blinding light filled the area, destroying the numerous zombies surrounding them. Yusuke was thrown back by the impact. The last thing he saw were Mayef's dead, uncaring eyes as he turned around to face him and his hand, outstretched as if to touch him.

the light disappeared. The group gasped in anticipation as Mayef crushed it in his palm. Raw energy spilled in all direction like numerous thunder bolts in a storm. It trashed the surroundings wildly, bringing down everything it gets in contact with.
