Jisoo's POV

When I entered the house, my parents welcomed me with full of worries in their eyes.

I guess Dr. Kang already told them.

"C-Chu, darling," Dad whispered.

"What now Dad? Are you going to tell lies again?" I asked trying not to shout.

I still have my respect for them, I guess.

"N-No, of course,e we don't want to tell you lies darling. But that's the only way we can  know to protect you." Mom said now in tears.

I chuckled.

Protect me? Are they insane?

"Protect me? Did you protect me Mom?", I can feel the pang in my chest.

"Do you guys have any idea what I'm feeling right now? Like Mom, Dad all my life.." I paused for a while as tears fell from my eyes.

"All my fucking life! I hated Jennie, no not just hate, I cursed her! For the fucking thought that she killed our dear brother! But guess what? It was me! It was me all along! Tell me, did you have fun playing with that fucking games of yours?!" I lost it.

I shouted with all my heart.

Mom then walked towards me crying also.

"D-Dear, i-it wasn't our intention okay? That was our only solution to save you both. Because, because I don't want to lose another child." Mom cried even more and so I am.

"You could just put me in jail, then save me, Mom. Maybe, just maybe, I was healed totally. Well, you already prisoned me with your lies, s-so I guess, there's no difference after all." After saying that I left them alone.

Jennie's POV

I'm inside my car now.

After that kikissawas n as fast as I could.

My phone keeps on ringing, and it's Lisa.

I still can't believe that she's Laliz, my Lili.

My heart aches every time I remember that day.

That day.

When she betrayed me.

Because how can she do it to me?

My phone vibrated.

Please answer me, Nini. I miss you.

My tears fell off.

And so I called someone.

"It's me, let's meet," I said.

After an hour I found myself wet in the rain inside a coffee shop.

"Oh, my goodness, Jennie! What happened to you?!" Dr. Kang was worried.

She quickly gave me her jacket.

"Dr. Kang, I met her. I met her again." I said.

She looks confused for a second, but when she realizes who I'm talking about, her expression changes.

"And I felt it, I can feel again." My eyes got teary-eyed.

She sighed.

She sat in my front then held my hand.

"And you know why?" She asked.

"I—I exactly don't know Doc, I mean, w-why?" I'm really confused.

Earlier when I realized who Lisa was, every feeling in the world got in me.

I wasn't numb. I wasn't empty.

"Because you meet her again, the person who could make you feel any type of emotions, every butterfly, every pain, every hurt, everything. And you lost it too, the moment you lost her. And I'm happy Jennie, because you're finally healing." She smiled at me making her eyes almost gone.

"Because you know what? The person who hurts us, who broke us to pieces by putting a wound in our heart, is the same person who can heal us, who can make us whole again. That's a bittersweet truth in love." She chuckled.

"And I must say in your case, she's someone you loved, and still love." She added.

I couldn't speak.

Everything Dr. Kang said was true.

Lisa is my favorite pain in the ass.

She broke me, but seeing her again completes me.

"I better go, thanks Dr. Kang." I was about to go when she spoke again.

"And if you don't want to be lost again, don't ever lose that person again Jennie."

I smiled.

"I won't." And left her.

Yes, I won't let her go this time.

Never again.

I quickly called Lisa the moment I entered my car.

"Where are you?" We both said in chorus.

"I'll come to you. Now, where are you?" I said.

"I'm outside your condo building." She answered.

"Wait for me there, don't go anywhere again without telling me," I answered.

"I'm here Nini, I'll wait for you." She whispered.

And so I quickly dropped the phone and drove as fast as I could to her.

I saw her sitting outside my condo building letting the rain wet her.

I still can't believe she's back in my life. My heart is beating fast, feeling an old feeling I once felt a long time ago.

And the funny is, I'm feeling it again with the same person I loved, years ago.

Lisa's POV

I'm feeling cold already but I don't mind it. I'm just happy that Nini called me.

More happier to see her again.

She's right, I should've trusted her love. I should've at least tried to tell her my condition.

Then maybe, just maybe. We never got lost in translation.

I was hugging myself tight when I saw black sandals and I couldn't feel the raindrops anymore in my body.

Maybe she's blocking the rain.

I looked above and saw the most beautiful angel with wildcat-like eyes.

I smiled when I saw her.

She sat in front so we could level our faces.

She then caressed my cheeks and it made me close my eyes.

"Why did it take me long to see that you are my long-lost love? No, my heart never forgets you, it beats fast the moment it recognizes you." She whispered.

Tears fell from my eyes.

"I'm sorry Nini, I-I'm sorry for leaving you." I'm sobbing.

She did too.

She shook her head.

"You're here now, and that's more than enough. Please tell me, please tell me you're not going to leave me again?" She whispered between her sobs.

I nodded immediately.

Because yeah, I will never leave her again. Never again.

"I will never leave you again Baby, I will stay. I love you." I answered her.

She then let go of the umbrella she was holding and grabbed my nape for a kiss.

It was slow.

I then found my hands on her waist.

We don't mind the heavy rain.

"I love you too." She whispered as she put her forehead in mine.

"And by the way, happy birthday my Lili." She added before kissing me again.

And yeah, this is the happiest birthday I ever had.
