Chapter 74

It's Tuesday, May 9th. Marching band practice started last Tuesday. Brdashaw told us that if we couldn't make it, it was alright. I'm going to this one and all the ones until the end of the school year. The last one will be in May 29th I think.

When I went to the band room after school, I saw lots of people, and friends; including Bradley.

I smiled and went to where Bradley was. He was smiling drumming softly on the stand. "Hey Bradley."

He looked up and smiled still, "Hey."

"How are you?"

" I'm doing good. How are you."

"I'm tired, but good."

We both smiled and talked a bit. A few of our friends came to join us not way too after. We all talked and laughed.

He poked our friend named Ashley; she played the Trumpet, and she jumped a bit because she was easily tickled. She, and all of us were laughing. Not to be rude, it was just funny. Glad she was laughing too though. She tried tickling Bradley, but nothing worked.

She was confused, "How are you not ticklish?"

Bradley grinned, "Oh I am, you're just poking my ribs."

We talked and laughed. Bradley poked me while grinning. I grinned too and poked back.

He smiled, "That's offensive."

I laughed softly not knowing how it was.

Cotton came to talk to us a bit later. I don't remember how the conversation started. All I know that Colton and Bradley were talking about that you could choose to be happy.

"Though it was hard to have a good day?"

Bradley looked at him confused though wondering why, "How come?"

"Well... I embarrassed myself in front of one of my class's,..." I don't remember the other this gas he said, but it was definitely understandable why Colton didn't have the best of a day.

Bradley then told him that he can choose to be happy. He didn't say it in a rude way or anything, he was smiling the whole time.

Then he used me as an example, which I felt very shy and embarrassed. I don't like being the center of attention. But I didn't stop him.

He used his hand to show that he was getting me an an example. " Like this young lady right here. She always comes up to me and says, 'Hey Bradley!' And I'm always like, 'How is she so happy this early in the morning?'"

I shrug smiling while feeling embarrassed, "I have no idea."

When Marching Band practice finally started, we learned how to walk in a straight line, in sink with each other, and how to stand in ready position.

There were some guys that were trying out for Drum Line. I kinda knew a few of them. I did know one though. At least the names I remember. They were Donavin, some other guys that I forgot their names, and Bradley Baum.

Bradley was telling everyone that was there for Marching Band how to balance with your weight. One of the things he said that he was fat.

You're not fat at all. I thought to myself. Even if he was joking, he will never be close to being fat.

After practice was over, we all said goodbye and went home.
