Jimin looks nearly ethereal with his black sunglasses sitting on his nose, blocking the morning sun that cascades through the windshield as he drives. Minseok, enthralled with the image of the younger driving in the music that plays through the car radio, couldn't tear his eyes away from him. In his chest he felt it's wrong to stare at him like this, through wonderous eyes and slightly agape lips. His hands start to become clammy, maybe from the car heater or the heat from his own blood pumping faster than it should be. This must be a crush, Minseok denies it however. He had only met Jimin a handful of times before he moved in, but all those times were connected by one symptom; the way his heart beat slightly faster that made his palms sweaty and mouth dry.

"If you take a picture, it would be last longer." Jimin comments, eyes never leaving the road.

"Are you sure? The sun's making your sweatshirt kind of washed out. I think I'd probably take the offer later when the sun's a little lower, maybe golden hour?" Jimin laughs, his eyes wrinkling from Minseok's view. "You're so straightforward. If I had to guess, I'd say you have a crush on me?" Jimin questions.
Jimin turns into a fairly large parking lot, roaming up and down the street to find an open spot. "What?" Minseok scoffs, trying to ignore the blush that exposes his thoughts so clearly for the upteenth time this morning. "I don't have a crush on you. Not saying that you're unattractive or anything! You are attractive, very pretty, b-but not in a romantic kind of way..." Minseok stutters at the end, voice drowning in self-embarrassment. "But you are pretty, that's why I would take that photo opportunity. I like photography! I like taking pictures of pretty things! And, and, you're pretty attractive to me in a non-romantic way that makes me want to take a photo!" Jimin pulls into a parking spot, perfectly getting inside the two fading yellow lines and turning the car off. "I'm going to take a wild guess that you ramble when you're embarrassed and, or flustered?" The red that darkens on Minseok's cheeks proves the theory and makes Jimin smirk. "That's cute."
In the many years that Minseok has know of Jimin, and the handful of times he met him, as well as the mere ten or so hours they have lived together, there's an odd feeling that settles in Minseok's guts when Jimin could read him like an open book. Jimin somehow could look at Minseok and make him unravel in minutes, maybe even seconds, read each emotion that writes itself on his cheeks, watch the thoughts like movie subtitles through his clear eyes. It almost makes Minseok uncomfortable at how easy Jimin could do that, and it makes him even more uncomfortable that he liked it.
Minseok clears his throat. "Is this cafe good?" The two unclick their seatbelts. "Brew Cafe is probably one of the best cafes in this whole entire city." Jimin boasts, removing his sunglasses and hanging it on the front of his pink sweater. "It's very affordable and even more affordable when you use the student discount. It's also great place to study at cus it's always quiet, that is when we aren't there." Jimin shoots Minseok a mischevious smile. "They also have an alternate menu for those with dietary restrictions, whether that be medical or not. Which is great when you're on a diet, by the way." The two slip out of the car, simultaneously slamming the car door close with the small beep of Jimin locking the door following after.

Indeed the atmosphere is very nice. The front of the cafe is all glass, letting in natural sunlight in for the customers, as well as the various green plants scattered throughout the fairly large room. It smells of heavenly coffee, a hint of sugary sweet cookies baking in the back, and cinnamon fills the extra space for the autumnal feel. The tables are all a nice light shade made of wood and styled to be like a picnic bench with the addition of the table tops. There's also various one or two seater tables, mostly concentrated in the front, available for loners. Minseok takes notice of the minimal customers and the lack of waiters and waitresses. One woman sits behind the cash register, tapping away on what Minseok presumes her phone. A male is attending to the coffee machines in the foreground, cleaning the various nozzles and machines that lines the white wall. Both workers wear a simple button up white shirt, sleeves rolled to their elbows. The counter blocks the view of the rest of their outfit, but Minseok presumes it's black fitted slack-like pants with a matching apron hugging their waist.

   "Jimin!"

Minseok and Jimin whip their heads towards their left, Jimin grinning at the five or so boys sitting at a table that was obviously two large tables manually stuck together. Minseok follows behind Jimin who walks up to the table, giving them high fives and half-hugs. "Who's this?" The boy has a black bowl cut hair, but in the flickering sunlight that peaks through the leaves shows the tinge of blue that ripples through his locks. His cheeks are round with happiness, his mischevious smile that he shoots at Jimin with raised eyebrows making them even more similar to soft rice cakes. "This is my new roommate, Jung Minseok!" The brute unconciously shuffles behind Jimin, but it's useless; he's wider and taller than the cotton candy haired boy. Minseok wears a small smile and boy slightly, "Hi." Jimin sits between the previous black-blue haired boy and another boy with a longer bowl cut who wears something akin to what Minseok knows as a "soft boy". Jimin pushes the black-blue haired boy further away from him, the boy feigning hurt and shock as Jimin pats the now empty seat beside him for Minseok. Slightly awkward, Minseok slips into the seat.
"Why don't you introduce yourself?" Jimin breaks the ice once more, and Minseok is even more grateful. In an attempt to suprress his habit of rambling when nervous, Minseok settles with a more brief introduction. "I'm Jung Minseok. I'm an arts major." Black-blue hair boy ooh'd compared to the small 'hello's' and 'hi's' that others offer.
"I'll go next! I'm Kim Jimin, and I'm an Art History major! I dance ballet and contemporary locally." Jimin looks to his left, a small encouraging smile nudges the soft boy to speak.
"Oh, I'm Jeon Jungkook. I'm a Dance major, and I also sing in a small a capella group." Jungkook silently sends the baton to the boy across from him, who's bright smile makes him smaller than what he really looks.
"I'm Moon Kevin and an English major. I'm on an exchange program from Canada, and I also met everyone here through the same a capella group!"
It continues, the baton passing quietly to the next boy over with an obvious blond dye job as his roots are already coming through.
He pushes up his round glasses, "I'm Jae! I'm a Music Education major, also in an exchange program but mine's based in L.A."

Minseok takes note at how Jimin's friends are, so far, both artistically talented as well as multicultural.

A low slurred grumble takes Minseok out of his thoughts, "I'm YoungK." "Brian." Jae pipes up, a chuckle on his plump lips when YoungK (or Brian?) shoots him a glare. "It's YoungK. I'm also a Music Education major on an exchange program with Kevin." Said boy smiles, and once more Kevin seems to shrink in size with how big he smiles.
The last boy that remains is the black-blue haired boy, who clears his throat and sits taller. "I'm Lee Seungkwan! I'm also a Music Education major, but from here. I also sing in the a capella group!"
"It's nice to meet you all." Minseok speaks, awkwardly bouncing his gaze from one boy to another until it lands on the most comfortable sight, Jimin. "We have more in the gang, but they're probably dead right now." Seungkwan speaks, shrugging at the tardiness of his friends.

"Speak of the devils." Kevin starts, staring at the door behind Minseok.

The door jingles, signalling new customers, but from the waitress' look as she looks up, her blank expression suggests it's someone she knows either personally or as regular customers. But the way the group of boys react, Minseok takes a guess the group are regulars of this already big group. "Hey!" Another round of high fives and half hugs happen before the newcomers sit in the other table that was stuck to the one already occupied. In the corner of Minseok's eyes, he sees Kevin stand, taking out a familiar card out of his pocket. Others follow his suit, taking out university student cards and passing it towards Kevin. "Oh, it's Kevin's turn to order. Since it's cheap here with the student discounts, we have this little payment plan routine where drinks are on one person for the day." Jimin explains. Minseok smiles at Kevin, pulling out his own student card, "I'll have an Iced Americano then."

Minseok eyes at the new round of boys in silence. There are only three of them, but so much was happening. Two of them are huddled together, the tanner of the two patting the back of the paler one as he coughs into his gloved hands. The last one is dead asleep on the table, his head on the wood as drool starts to leak from the corner of his mouth. "Guys, you should introduce yourselves." Seungkwan speaks up, his eyes nudging towards Minseok.

The tan boy looks up in surprise, "Oh, sorry. I'm Kim Mingyu. I'm a soccer player trying to go professional, so I'm only guilty by association." He points at the coughing boy with an apologetic smile. The coughing boy sniffles, his angry red nose crinkling when he couldn't even breathe through the clogged nasal.
"You'd think years on the ice would make you immune to the cold, but that would make you hella wrong. I'm Jeon Wonwoo." His nasally voice croaks as he speaks through his sickness. "I'm a figure skater, also trying to go professional. I'm only in this friend group because of him, I'm his cousin." Wonwoo points at Jungkook, who grins in response. Wonwoo coughs, burying his mouth in his elbow through the violent consecutive hacking. Mingyu pats his back, "You've got to take care of yourself, babe." Minseok's eyebrows raise once more, looking back at Jimin for clarification. "They've been dating since freshman year of high school, so like, roughly five or six years? They're basically an old married couple, it's almost cute until you see them making out in random places." Jimin rolls his eyes at the memories that flash through his head.
Seungkwan nods in agreement before he drapes his arm over the blond that sits next to him. "And this is Jihoon!" The blond groans, eyes barely open to see who the new addition is. "Music producer." He introduces, head almost immediately slamming into the table. Seungkwan sighs, "He probably stayed up again on another project. You should check his songs out though! It's on Youtube, just searched WOOZI and you'll find it." Seungkwan smiles proudly, nodding at Minseok. "You're only saying that because you featured in one of his songs." YoungK chimes in a matter-of-fact tone. Seungkwan shrugs, "I mean, I wasn't gonna mention it so he can stumble across how good I am, but if you want to reveal it now..." Minseok chuckles, shoulders shaking at the interaction.

Kevin returns shortly after, eyes focused on the drinks that splash against their cups as he places the tray on the table. Drinks are passed around, some confusion when orders look the similar. It's quiet for a moment, just drinking sounds, coughing, and the occassional snore. Minseok takes the opportunity to look at the tables again. Each boy had their own charms, exuding personalities that, to Minseok, is yet to be discovered. Eventually, Minseok's eyes and thoughts land once more on Jimin. He drinks a coffee, black, and it shakes Minseok at how opposite Jimin is to what he looks like. He's stuck in a trance, a reoccuring theme when he looks at his roommate.

   "Hyung!"

Minseok snaps out of his thoughts and cranes his neck behind him. A smaller and younger boy heaves through his mouth, the bubble coat swallowing his lean figure. "You left this at home." He pulls up a textbook, words in english splayed across the cover that Minseok could barely understand. "Oh my god, Hwall, thank you so much." Kevin stands, waddling to the younger to grab the book. Minseok turns to Jimin, the younger's boy etched on his lips silently. "Hyunjoon, he's Kevin's brother, but more importantly Wonwoo's skating partner. He's young, but man he's good. Like, Olympian good. We call him Hwall." Jimin nods, a serious expression on his face. The brothers exchange a few more words, Kevin ruffling Hyunjoon's hair before he turns on his heels and leaves. Silence returns like an old friend, some on their phones, others preoccupied with conversations, while one sleeps through everything. Jimin takes it upon himself to entertain Minseok.
"It's crazy, huh?" Jimin looks up through his eyelashes with a sweet smile. Minseok shrugs, taking a sip of his drink before replying. "A little. I didn't know you were such a social butterfly." The younger chuckles, "I guess, yeah. I have even more friends, if you believe that." Minseok smiles, "Crazy." Jimin stirs the straw in his drink slowly, "It has its benefits, being friends with a lot of people. I mean, it has its negatives too, but most of the time it's positive. It's overwhelming, yeah, but they're all so diverse and just, cool, that I can't help not be friends with them, you know?" Minseok nods despite not knowing that feeling. "Sometimes I wonder if I ever helped them through their problems like how they helped me. I've always believed that no matter the person, they need someone in their lives to listen to them. It's a basic necessity for human life, but so many people go without it and they're miserable!" Jimin exclaims, amusement in his velvet voice. "Have you ever been someone who's so fed up they let out their whole life story to you when you don't really care? Yeah, neccessity. So if you ever need to talk, silly or not, you can always come to me, okay?" Jimin flushes brighter than Minseok for the first time in their residency, forcing himself to keep staring at his drink rather than looking at the taller. Minseok starts with a chuckle, evolving into an airy laugh that makes Jimin even more embarrassed. "Thank you." Minseok replies. Jimin clears his throat, sitting straighter.

"Anyways, it's almost time for orientation!"

The announcement wakes Jihoon, the drool pool he created being wiped by YoungK, who only nods to Jae's constant chatter. "What time is it?" He croaks, recoiling at the sun that burns his eyes. "11 am." Jungkook replies. "Shit. Why didn't you wake me up earlier? I'm gonna be late for my advisor meeting!" He hurriedly stands, grabbing the full drink next to him that Kevin had bought knowing the man would drink it after his morning nap. "Sorry, Grandpa. We didn't know you had an important personal meeting this early in the morning, and if we had known, maybe we'd have forced you to, I don't know, sleep earlier so you'd be awake for this momentous moment?" Jungkook bites sarcastically, earning a glare from Jihoon. "Whatever. See you later, losers." He jogs out of the cafe, barely looking for cars before crossing the road. Faster than they had come, the group disperses with goodbyes. Minseok stands, smiling at the boys who bid him farewell from behind Jimin. The two walk out of the cafe, shivering at the cold wind the hits them. The door shuts close behind them, Minseok behind Jimin a few feet. He watches him, observing his walk and stature.

The sun's glow showers Jimin, illuminating him to the point of blindless. Jimin stops at the trunk of his car, digging into his pocket for the car keys. He pulls them out and unlocks the car, opening the car door before looking behind him in search of Minseok. "Come on, slowpoke. Are you coming or not?" He asks jokingly, throwing Minseok another sweet smile. Minseok's chest concaves, his heart beating frantically, a frenzy of electricity running through his veins. The sun, Jimin's smile, it made him look like an angel. Minseok couldn't handle the fact that this person he barely knew, that he met yesterday, is a character not as shallow as he had thought. No, Kim Jimin is something else; a complex play written by the finest playwright, a one man show performed by this heavenly angel. Minseok is absolutely captured into his beauty, and he realizes that day two of his journey into independency starts with a measly crush on the most perfect sin that walks on earth.
