THE TWO siblings stood outside Dumbledores office for at least ten minutes, debating on what to do. At first, Neville thought Daisy was lying to tease him that she was right, but when she insisted he went to listen, that thought vanished immediately.
"Listen," Neville began, looking like whatever he was about to say would physically pain him. "I think you were some-what right."
Daisy grinned, giving him a sly look and he rolled his eyes, sticking his tongue out. "I want to know why she is in there and why Dumbledore didn't want you to know."
"It might not necessarily mean he was hiding something." Neville tried to say, almost trying to convince himself that Dumbledore wasn't all bad.
"Bullshit." Daisy commented. "Why are we even out here- okay then" she said, looking like she had come up with an idea. "If he isn't hiding anything from us, he would have no problem with letting us in his office."
"He's a headmaster." Neville said, saying anything that would stop Daisy from going in there. "He's aloud to hide things!"
"Oh, so you do agree that he is hiding something. From us, may I add." Daisy tilted her head to the side and Neville opened and closed his mouth.
"I don't know!" He said, frustrated and he tugged on his hair, letting out a huge sigh.
"Okay." Daisy shrugged, turning towards the door. "Acid pops."
Neville stared in shock as the doors to his office started to open. "How did you know the password!?"
"It's been the same ever since second year." she said, quite shocked that it actually worked. The nerves were kicking in now, had she really practically forced her way into his office?
The two adults stopped talking immediately, turning towards the door. Dumbledore stood in shock, he didn't remember telling anyone the password.
Augusta's face looked bright red and she looked angry. Dumbledore had straightened up, plastering a smile on his face that seemed all too fake.
"I was just going to send a message out to get you two!" Dumbledore announced, stepping away from Augusta. "Come in, we have some things to discuss."
It felt like the whole atmosphere had changed, the two adults seemed awkward. Neville stared at the back of Daisy's head, praying that nothing would go wrong.
"Daisy." Augusta greeted, folding her arms, her voiced seemed strained. "Neville."
"Is this what you were too busy doing instead of taking me and my brother to see our parents?" Daisy asked the question that was on the tip of her tongue and she watched as Dumbledore clear his throat and Augusta blink a few times, lost for words.
Neville gulped.
"W-well, yes." she said, breathing heavily. "I needed to talk to Dumbledore, before I spoke to you both. Theres some things I need to tell you."
Daisy quirked her eyebrow, coping her Grandmothers actions and crossing her arms. She tilted her head. "Go ahead, what can be worse than not taking us to our parents?"
Silence rang out in the room and Dumbledore finally decided to speak. "Why don't you sit down-?"
"I don't want to sit down." Daisy snapped, cutting Dumbledore off. "I just want you to tell us what it is, and then I'm leaving."
"Okay." Augusta said, nodding. For once in her life, she felt guilty for what she was going to say. "Its okay if you hate us after this, I wouldn't blame you."
Us? Hate?
Neville frowned. "Why would we hate you both for what your about to say?" he was stood behind Daisy slightly, his hand inside one of his pockets.
Augusta felt like it would be best to get it all out now, before she changed her mind. "When you found out that your parents were awake, I already knew."
"Well already you knew, because you told us." Neville said, not understanding what she meant. However, Daisy parted her lips, catching on to what she was saying.
"N-no. Way before, months before.."
Daisys insides felt like their were sizzling, she felt sick and she shook her head, biting her lip. "What?"
Her mind went back to what her father said, when she went to the hospital for the first time. ' 'Augusta told us that you didn't want to see us.'
Her Grandmother had been lying this whole time? She let her mind wander back way before to the time before Hogwarts started again, and she heard voices in her kitchen,
"They can't know."
"It's important, their-"
She was talking about her parents this whole time. Her heart dropped at the realisation and she could feel her throat closing over. "You knew they were awake this whole time and you didn't tell us- you bitch!"
Augusta stepped back in shock, her face settling into a frown as she stared down at the siblings. "I did it for you, I thought it would be for the best."
Neville had yet to say something, only one single tear trickled down his cheek in betrayal and hurt.
"What do you mean, 'for the best' How is it for the best?!" Daisy's voice got progressively louder and her hands were all about the place. "Remember when you told me at dinner when Neville was upstairs, that we're like a stranger to them and how you understand why they would lie about saying that we apparently didn't want to see them when I mentioned it to you and called you a liar for it. I was right."
Neville was stood there in shock, why was he only hearing this now?
"And why you kept me from seeing them, taking Neville but not me. You're a spiteful evil bitch." Daisy's hands were beginning to shake from anger and all she wanted to do was scream from frustration.
"That is not true!" Augusta said, her hands clutching together and she held them by her chest. "It's not my fault they didn't want to see you." she snapped causing it to all fall silence. "I made myself seem like the bad person, so you wouldn't feel sad about them not wanting to see you. I made up a lie, for you because I didn't want the truth to hurt you. I'm not the bad person."
"Thats a lie." Neville spoke for the first time since they came in the office. "Every time they mentioned Daisy, and why she wasn't there, you would say she was ill."
"I've had enough of this." Daisy scoffed, wiping her eyes where a few tears had escaped. "You're a lying bitch- and I fucking hate you. I want nothing to do with you, ever." she exclaimed, staring at Augusta, her eyes seemed dark and sad.
"That's not possible." Augusta's voice brought Daisys walk towards the office door to a halt.
She turned around, waiting impatiently. "And whys that, hmm? Gonna make up another lie to make me stay?"
Augusta ignored her, her head glancing towards Dumbledore who had took a seat, some point during the argument and he looked in deep thought.
"Because there is a few chance of plans. We are moving to France today. And we're not coming back."
