Early that afternoon Mal heads over to Evie's castle house. "Who else knows about the crown and the scepter." Evie asks Mal.

Mal sighs and says. "No one. I mean...think about it. It was scary enough as it is. We have to employ these entirely new security measures."

"Will this delay our bringing over more VKs?" Evie asks Mal.

"We're talking about closing the barrier for good." Mal answers Evie's question.

"But you said no? I mean the five of us are living the dream and we finally got to share that. I mean, what could be more important than that?" Evie asks Mal.

"Yeah. I know...I mean, maybe security or more peace of mind for everyone in Auradon." Mal says explaining to Evie.

"Is that what they're thinking? M, were they seriously thinking that no one will ever go in and out of the Isle ever again? What, we never get to go back to see our parents. And what about the kids? We promised them that they could go back and visit whenever they wanted." Evie says clearly as she is upset about the whole thing.

"Yeah, I know." Mal says.

"Mal, I'm so glad that you are going to be Queen. You will be a part of these conversations; you will stand up for the VKs. Thank you for telling me, and you'll be a great Queen." Evie says as Mal is cringing on the inside.

Dizzy, Celia and Jade had gotten into Samantha's cake, but no one noticed a single thing and then this happened.

"Okay, who got into Sam's cake?!" Carlos asks, slightly annoyed thinking who would be cruel enough to eat someone else's cake.

Evie and Jay, walk to where Carlos is and there is a huge piece missing from the cake as they all have the same thought. Speaking of Sam, she's with her brothers as they are drawing with the rocks on the ground. Something that they used to do on the Isle. Sam is the only person besides her dad to get her brothers to talk.

"I miss Dad already." Says Squeaky as Squirmy nods his head as Sam couldn't help but nod her head too.

"Yeah, tell me about it." She says with a small smile as she plays with her wedding ring that Carlos had proposed.

Mal has Sam's gift in her hand as she is about to talk out of the door as she sees a cloud of pink smoke.

"I was hoping you'd be home." Audrey says as Mal looks at Audrey in utter shock and confusion thinking that she's going to her lame costume parties.

"Is this a joke? What are you doing with the crown and the scepter?" Mal asks her as she takes a step towards her.

"Well, I wanted them so I took them. And you, of all people should understand that, Mal." She says simply like it's no big deal as Mal gives her a look as her outfit is pretty much an off brand of her mom's outfit.

Sam and her brothers snuck back into the house without Audrey noticing, just as they turned the corner the boys (meaning Jay and Carlos), turned around to see who walked in.

"What's wrong?" Carlos asks her to know immediately that something is wrong.

"Uh, we have an unwanted guest." Sam says as they got back outside and sees that Mal is an old lady as Audrey spelled her. They caught Audrey the last second before she disappeared in a pink smoke cloud.

Sam's eyes widened in horror at the sight of seeing Mal as an old hag. "Whoa! Mal, you might wanna think of a spell for that." Jay says seeing the condition that Mal is currently in.

"You're acting surprised of seeing an old person." Sam says sarcastically to him as Carlos cracked a small smile at her joke.

"Forget about me, Audrey's out for revenge. And all of Auradon is in danger." Mal explains the situation knowing the fate if they don't stop Audrey.

"Any ideas? What's more powerful than the scepter?" Jay asks being clueless as Sam rolls her eyes.

"Hades Ember." Sam says as she blurted it out as Evie, Jay and Carlos look at her weirdly as she shrugs her shoulders.

"Oh! Like he's gonna just hand it over, if we went back to the island?" Jay says in the same sarcastic tone as Sam as she hits his arm, as he forgot how hard she hits.

"You're not helping, shush." She says as he makes a face before looking back at Mal.

"And no one knows where his lair even is." Evie says, as Sam slowly raises her hand.

"I do. I used to be his errand rat." Sam says as just then Celia, Dizzy and Jade all let out a scream at seeing Mal in her old form.

"Great, she's scaring kids now." Jay says as Sam flicked his cheek, as he swatted her hand away. "That sounds like Mal now." He adds as Sam ignores him.

"Diz, and Jade you stay here with Celia and the twins. Everything will be just fine. Go inside." Evie tells the five of them as they all went back inside.

Sam has the key to Hades' lair. "Guys let's go get our stuff." She says as they go get their stuff and change into Isle outfits.

The VKs take their bikes as they stop by the water as Sam is clutching Carlos. As she has a fear of water, as she had since she was a little girl as Uma had pushed her into the water and ever since she's been scared.

"Noble steed, proud and fair you shall take us anywhere." Mal says as her eyes turned green as she's saying the spell.

Meanwhile

At Sam's supposed birthday party, Audrey showed up and then put everyone to sleep besides Chad as he wanted to join her, and not Jane as she is on the phone with Ben as she's telling him what happened.

"No, no, stay where you are. Ben. Audrey's got the scepter and the crown and everyone's asleep. I'm gonna call mom and tell her to get the wand." Jane says quickly before hanging up.

"Is Mal, or the others with you? Jane? Jane?" Ben says to an empty phone line with no answer and a lot of worry for Mal and the others.

On the Isle

"Hey, I'm me again." Mal says out of joy before touching her hands and hair.

"Duh, Mali-poo. Evil magic doesn't work here. Sorta the point." Sam says before leading the way.

"Welcome back." Evie says they walk to a door as Sam knocks to a certain beat, then the door opened as Sam smiled.

"Hey, girl." Facilier says to Sam as they hug each other, as they're like friends per say. They do their handshake that they've came up with. "How is Celia?" He asks her as he slings an arm around Sam.

"She's good actually. Really good." She says as he nods his head liking hearing what she said. She excused herself before walking over to Carlos.

"Nice a TV. That works." Sam says with a grin as Carlos moves over a little to make room for Sam.

"Alerts of the sleeping spell keep coming in as it spreads throughout Auradon." The reporter says on the TV.

"Uh, guys. Come see this." Sam says to the others as Sam peers a little closer.

"There are rumors that Sleeping Beauty's daughter, Audrey is behind the spell. We're trying to discover who is responsible for these vicious lies, and which villain has perpetrated this evil. We have an update. It's what? It's moving this way. It's moving this way." The reporter says as they all watch it in shock.

Mal nods her head at the group which told them it's time to leave. They got outside and then they stopped in their steps at seeing Henry, Harry and Gil and some other pirates on their bikes.

"Wow. Rookie mistake?" Carlos says as they walk out.

"Long time nae see, losers!" Harry says as the other pirates take off.

"Get off my bike, Henry!" Jay says as the boys and Evie take off as Mal and Sam head towards the lair. They finally get there and there are multiple signs.

"Hey. How big is that dog?" Mal asks Sam as she notices the big BEWARE OF DOG! Sign.

"You'll see." Sam says as she unlocks the gate. "Okay, be quiet it echoes like wildfire in here." Sam says as Mal has a concerned look before going after going after Sam.

The two of them walk inside hearing the loud barking and growling coming out of nowhere before Mal takes a deep breath. "Come on, I don't have all day, Mal." Sam says handing Mal a helmet and turning the night on her own.

Mal turns on the light before going on the bike and going down the rail. Mal looks and she sees a glowing blue light hearing loud barking again.

The barking was only louder when they reached where Hades was sleeping in his chair. Mal follows Sam down the stairs where Hades was. The barking sound could be heard again causing Mal to look around before Sam points to a record player like it's the most obvious thing.

Within seconds Sam grew tired of the record player and moves the player causing it to scratch. "What are you doing here, Celia?" Hades asks her as he doesn't know that Mal is there.

"It's not Celia." Sam says crossing her arms around her chest as she leans on the wall. "Celia told me you were low on canned corn." She adds as Mal took this as a distraction to get the Ember, but it failed immediately. Hades grabbed Mal's hand which caused her to look at him.

"Hi, Dad." Mal says as Sam wasn't shocked that she called him Dad, as she and Evie are the only people who knew that. Hades takes off his sunglasses and waved at Mal sarcastically.

"Quite the show you put on the other day." Hades says as Mal whips back at him. "Right back at you.

"I was just coming back to see you?" Hades says as Mal quips. "Really, wonder why? Is it because I'm becoming Queen?"

'Now, Mal, don't be bitter." Hades says as Mal says. "You abandoned me when I was a baby."

"No, no. I left your mother. She's not the easiest person to get along with." Hades corrects Mal as Sam nods her head at him agreeing with him. He wasn't wrong.

"You think?" Mal asks with a slight eye roll.

"Oh. See? We have something in common: we both hate your mother." Hades says putting on a scarf.

"No! I don't hate my mother. She may be an evil lunatic, but at least she stuck around." Mal argues back as this is more like an argument than anything.

"Aww. Boo-hoo. Wake up and smell the stink. You think you're had it rough? I used to be a GOD! I had an entire world which bore my name and now I have nothing, you have no idea what that feels like."

"Really?! Because for 16 years I had nothing!" Mal says as she's about to lose it with him.

"Whatever." Hades says to him which only angers her more.

"Unless, I get that Ember, it's game over." Mal says walking over to Hades holding her hand out wanting the ember.

"Hold please." Hades says as before Mal could say anything she looked at him in shock.

Hades:
Listen little girl
You're talking to a God

Mal:
Oh, I guess, that's why you ran

Hades:
Try being married to your momma!

Mal:
You stink at being a Dad

Hades:
Poor Mali...are you sad?

Mal:
Not as sad as you without your powers
I didn't come to fight

Hades:

Were you expecting flowers?

Mal:
I only need you 'cause I came here for something

Hades:

Are you kidding? Is this a joke?

Mal:

They finished their song and looked at one another as Mal panted before saying. "Do you wanna make up for being a lousy Dad?" She turns to him before finishing. "Give me the ember." She says holding her hand out once more.

"The ember only works for me." Hades was pointing to himself as Mal argued back. "No, it'll work for me, we're blood.

"You are only half Hades." Hades says. "The ember won't do everything for you as it does for me." Hades says sighing.

"I'll take my chances." Mal says to him with a smirk as he holds but stops. 

"If it gets wet, it's game over." Hades calls out to Mal as he walked out.
