Aldertree: I thought these wards were airtight. 

Theo: How many soldiers are here? 

Aldertree: Only two dozen. Everyone else is out dealing with the Downworld attacks. 

KLAUS: Valentine did that on purpose. 

Alec: We'll take the entry with Longford. 

Aldertree: We'll cover the weapons room. 

Longford: Valentine's work? 

Theo: Only one way to find out. ( Elevator opens and Madzie was there. ) 

CAROLINE: He was using her. 

Alec: Hold your fire. 

Longford: What's a little girl doing here all alone? 

Theo: She's a warlock. 

Alec: Madzie. Did you... ( She throws Alec and Theo in the elevator. ) 

Theo: Hold your fire. She's a kid. ( She removes her scarf and the oxygen there was decreasing. ) ( All choking ) ( All gasping ) 

BONNIE: Oh my God. 

Alec: Madzie! 

Theo: Madzie! ( Grunts ) ( Valentine comes there. ) 

Valentine: Who is my favorite little warlock? 

Scene Changes. 

Jace: Clary, we can't panic. 

Clary: He's a psychopath. He's capable of anything. ( Breathes heavily ) Simon is innocent, in all of this. The only reason Valentine took him captive is because I care about him. ( Footsteps approaching ) 

Luke: Hey. All the prisoners are either dead or gone. No sign of Cleophas. 

Rose: Hey, it's gonna be okay. ( They hugged. )  ( Cell phone ringing ) ( They see the caller ID of Simon. ) 

Luke: Answer it, Clary. ( Muffled grunting ) 

Valentine: No. Hello, Clarissa. Wish we were chatting under more civilized circumstances, but I'm afraid I've run out of options. 

Clary: Let Simon go. 

Valentine: Absolutely. Just as soon as you come back to the Institute. I need you to activate the sword for me because Rosaline and Theodore won't do so. 

Clary: That is never going to happen. 

Valentine: Oh, but I think it will. Because if you don't show up within the hour... ( Muffled grunting ) Your vampire boyfriend here is gonna die a death I wouldn't wish upon anyone. ( The call ends. ) 

Rosaline opens her eyes and flashes her alpha eyes. She swings her katanas and fearless rune is showed. Theodore's magical bow appears and he stretches its string forming the strength rune. Clary is seen blowing the candles on her birthday cake forming the angelic rune. Jace is seen jumping from a building with eagles surrounding him. He jumps on the ground splashing the water which forms heightened speed rune. Alec is seen a room with healing rune drawn on one of the walls. He aims his arrow. Isabelle is now shown swinging her blade forming the parabatai rune. Simon is seen wiping the blood on his lips in hotel de mort. The whole background turns black and white. Luke is seen with a wall behind him covered with runes and wolves. Magnus is drinking his cocktail. Scene splits and shows Theo and Rose using their magic and flashing their alpha eyes. Then all the runes are shown burning and Rosaline, Theo, Clary, Jace, Alec and Isabelle are shown walking and the title Shadowhunter appears with The Mortal Instruments written below. And the screen turns black. 

Luke: Clary. 

Clary: What are we waiting for? Let's go. 

Luke: That's what Valentine wants. You know that if you touch that sword, he can destroy the entire Downworld, including Simon. 

Clary: No, Valentine needs an energy source. He needs lightning. 

Luke: He's got it. Every Institute is powered by an angelic power core. 

ELIJAH: He planned everything well. 

Jace: Alec's not picking up. 

Rose: Nor is Theo. 

Clary: Let's move. Valentine is gonna wish he never laid a hand on Simon. I'll make sure of it. 

Luke: Whoa, whoa, whoa! You're not going anywhere near that Institute. We're taking you to Magnus. He can protect you. 

Clary: No, I don't need to be protected. I need to save Simon. 

Rose: The Down world knows that now you're the only key to activating that sword. They want you dead. 

Jace: I can save Simon with Rosaline. 

Clary: Doesn't work that way. If I'm not the one who shows up, Valentine is gonna kill him. 

Dot: Wait! 

HOPE: That was Dot! 

Clary: Dot? ( They see Dot there. ) 

Dot: There's another way to destroy the sword. 

Scene Changes. 

( They took Dot to Magnus'. )

Magnus: There you go. You'll start feeling better in no time. 

Dot: Thank you. 

Clary: Dot, tell us everything you know. 

Dot: I heard Valentine briefing his men. If Jace touches the sword, his grip would destroy it. 

Jace: Me? 

Luke: Why should we believe a word she says? It's probably just another trap. 

Dot: Luke, Clary, you know me. 

Clary: You've lied to me before. 

Dot: Because of the injections. But now that he has the warlock girl, he's cast me aside. I'm myself again. ( Scoffs ) 

Luke: Good story, but I've heard better. 

Jace: Wait, in the vision from Ithuriel, the demon that destroyed the sword had a clawed hand. 

Clary: Exactly. It has nothing to do with you. 

Rose: Wait, a minute I should have noticed this before. The star in the sky. 

Clary: Yeah, I remember. 

ACHATIUS: That was the Morning Star which means Morgenstern. 

Rose: Angels are higher beings. They communicate through metaphors. Morgenstern means "Morning Star," as in, "How are thou fallen from heaven, O, Lucifer, son of the morning." The vision seems to be speaking of a... Demonic Morgenstern. 

Jace: Me. That's why Valentine wanted me under his control. I can derail his plan. I can destroy the Soul-Sword. 

Rose: And destroy yourself in the process. 

Clary: No. ( Stutters ) That's a suicide mission. No way. 

Jace: Oh, says the girl who was willing to die for the Downworld, what, yesterday? 

Luke: She's right, Jace. It's too dangerous. 

Jace: I'm not gonna touch the sword. I'll just get to it before it's activated, and bring the Mortal Instrument back to the Clave, where it belongs. Trust me. ( Sighs ) 

THEO: You lied. 

Scene Changes. 

Isabelle: Alec just doesn't know when to leave me alone. He never has. 

Raphael: Your brotherd have nothing to worry about, Isabelle. Your happiness, your well-being, it's all I care about. 

Isabelle: Sounds like Shadowhunter blood talking. 

Raphael: It's true. I haven't felt this way about anyone in... a long, long time. ( Isabelle leans in to kiss but Raphael takes her hand. ) 

Isabelle: Kiss me. 

Raphael: It's not like that. I'm... not like that. I'm just not interested in s*x. 

Isabelle: Being a vampire made you this way? 

Raphael: No. I've always been like this. ( Cell phone ringing ) 

Isabelle: It's probably just Alec. Could you please turn it off? ( Sighs ) ( He sees the text by Alec and Theo and sees that Valentine has invaded the Institute. ) 

DAVINA: He saw the text. 

Raphael: Sorry, I just saw the time. I have a meeting with the Bronx clan leader. Don't worry, I'll be back. 

Isabelle: Bite for the road? 

Raphael: No, thanks. I... need to keep a clear head. I'll see you soon. ( He puts her phone on the top shelf. ) ( Sighs ) 

Scene Changes. 

Jace: Alec. Are you okay? 

Alec: We're under attack. Major casualties. Valentine used Madzie to take down the wards. She suffocated everyone. 

Jace: Where's Izzy? 

Alec: She wasn't here. 

Jace: Oh, thank the Angel. Theo, he's there to use the power core instead of lightning. He's got Simon and he's threatening to kill him if Clary doesn't come and activate the sword. 

Alec: You have to keep Clary away from that sword. 

Jace: Don't worry. She's with Magnus and Rose. Luke and I are coming for it now. Just get to the power core. Shut it down. That way, no matter who touches the sword, it won't turn on. ( Groans ) ( Someone attacks Alec and Theo. ) 

Jace: Alec? Alec? ( Grunting ) ( More circle members come and fight them. Aldertree comes and helps them. ) ( Panting ) 

Theo: That's not bad... for a diplomat. 

( Camera is focused on Simon tied up. )

Valentine: Well, it seems Clarissa needs more incentive. ( Grunts ) ( Panting ) 

Simon: No. What she needs is a real father. Look, I've been best friends with Clary forever. And the one thing she's always wished is to be able to know her real dad. And she's had that chance. And she found a homicidal maniac. She wants nothing to do with you. She hates you. Even Rose hates you who was raised by you. Doesn't that bother you? Doesn't it make you wanna change? For them? ( Sighs ) 

THEO: It would be of no use. 

Scene Changes. 

Magnus: I'm not used to feeling so... Powerless. ( Sighs ) ( Cell phone rings ) 

Clary: Oh, my God! Simon, are you okay? 

Valentine: ( On phone ) Simon's fine. We've just been having a nice talk. You know, he told me your greatest wish was to get to know your old man, which is funny, because it's always been my wish to get to know my daughter. And so, I'm here, and I'm waiting for you. And frankly, well... Clarissa, I'm losing my patience. ( He cuts his neck. ) 

Some of them gasped in shock. 

( Gasps ) ( Exclaims ) ( Sighs ) The vampire has a half-hour, maybe 40 minutes, before he turns to dust. Come quick, Clarissa. He needs blood to survive. ( The call ends. ) 

Clary: Portal me to the Institute. 

Magnus: Clary, we can't. 

Clary: Now! 

Scene Changes.

Aldertree: Looks like he's already tapping the energy supply. We need to get to that power core and shut it down. 

Theo: It'll be heavily guarded. 

Aldertree: We'll get to it via the rooftop. Hell if I'm gonna let that b*st*rd destroy the entire Downworld. 

Alec: What, suddenly you care about the Downworld? 

Aldertree: I'm an officer of the Clave, sworn to protect Downworlders and mundanes alike. 

JONATHAN: Oh, right.  

Theo: Right. 

Aldertree: I'm not the big bad wolf you think I am. 

Alec: No, you're worse. You got my sister hooked on yin fen. 

Aldertree: I warned her, Alec. Told her of the risks. But she wanted to visit the Citadel. The yin fen allowed her to do that. I was doing her a favor. 

STEFAN: That was definitely not a favour. 

Theo: Are you kidding me? Look, you might've helped me back there, but don't pretend you're one of the good guys. 

Scene Changes. 

( Tires screeching ) 

Jace: You're a cop. Can't you drive any faster? 

Luke: You wanna drive? 

Jace: I'm sorry. I... I just... ( Sighs ) I have to get to Alec. 

Luke: I know what you're going through. I had a parabatai once. 

Jace: When Valentine turned on you, that must've been unbearable. 

Luke sighed. 

Luke: It was. I felt like my life was over. But, over time, I got past it. Alec's gonna be okay. 

Jace: He has to be. ( Tires screeching ) ( Maia stops them. ) What the hell is she doing here? ( She attacks Luke. ) ( Both grunt ) 

Maia: You locked me up in the dark? 

Luke: Where did you come from? 

Maia: I was watching, waiting for my chance. But I couldn't wait any longer. 

Luke: Jace, put the blade away. This is between me and Maia. 

Jace: Are you sure? She's out of control. 

Maia: So true. ( She hits Jace. ) ( Grunts ) ( Luke holds her. ) 

Maia: Let go! Get off of me! 

Luke: No, Maia, put this in perspective. The fate of the entire Downworld is at stake. 

Maia: Who's lost perspective? Who protects Shadowhunters over their own pack? ( Both grunting ) ( Bones cracking ) ( Luke uses the stun gun on Maia. ) ( Stun gun crackling ) ( Groans ) 

Luke: She won't be down for long. Help me get her in the car. 

Jace: No. We have to get back to the Institute. 

Luke: I can't just leave her here. 

Jace: What do we do if she wolfs out again? 

Luke: That's what the stun gun's for. ( They put her inside the car. ) 

Scene Changes. 

( Breathing heavily ) ( Cell phone vibrating ) ( Isabelle sees the text. ) 

Scene Changes. 

( Magnus, Rose and Clary reach the Institute through portal. )

Magnus: Well, here we are. 

Clary: Magnus... I want you to know I'm not going anywhere near that sword. Rose is also with me. 

Magnus: I don't care what happens to me, Clary. 

Rose: Alec's gonna be okay. 

Clary: Simon's gonna be okay. We can do this. You, Rose and me. ( Grunts ) ( Raphael was there. Vampires vamp sped and hold Magnus and Rose. ) 

FREYA: The vampire were there. 

Magnus: Let go of my hands! 

Raphael: So you two can use your magic against us? I'm sorry, Magnus. None of us wanted it to come to this. 

Clary: ( Grunts ) No, I'm here to save Simon. I'm not going to touch the sword. 

Raphael: No, you're not. 

Magnus: Stop this. Stop it now! 

Raphael: If I don't do it, more Downworlders are on their way to do it for me. You're too close to her, Magnus. 

Magnus: Raphael, you don't have to do this. 

Raphael: Quick and painless. ( Snarls ) ( Gasps ) This ends now.

Rose: Now, you pissed me off. ( She flashes her alpha eyes and the all the vampires clutch their head and blood was coming out of their eyes. The fell on their knees. ) ( groaning ) 

JEREMY: You were really pissed. 

Magnus: Rose stop. 

Rose: This better be last time because I don't take it lightly when someone messes with my family. Touch Clary, you won't see other dawn. ( She stops giving them aneurysm. ) 

KEELIN: You love your family. 

Luke: Listen up! 

Maia: You better be right about this, Luke. 

Jace: Clary may be able to activate the sword, but I can destroy it. The angel Ithuriel confirmed that in a vision. 

Raphael: Angel? Impossible. 

Clary: I saw it, too. He's telling the truth. 

Luke: You kill Clary, Valentine still has the damn sword. Over time, no doubt, he'll find a way to activate it. Now is our chance to destroy that sword for good. Why not let Jace try? 

Maia: Why would a Shadowhunter risk his life for us? 

Jace: Because you and Raphael are gonna tell your Downworld buddies not to lay a hand on Clary. That's the deal. 

Raphael: And they'll listen to me? 

Rose: Maybe. You're the leader of the most powerful vampire clan in all of New York. They respect you. 

Raphael: What exactly is your plan? 

Scene Changes. 

( Wheezing ) Simon: Clary. She'll know it's a trap. 

Valentine: Even the sly mouse will walk into a trap if it wants the cheese badly enough. And you, my friend, you're the cheese. ( Madzie comes there. ) Hey! Hi. Oh, don't worry, little one. It's only a game. It's make believe, okay? Take her upstairs. And don't let anyone in unless her name is Clary. 

Scene Changes. 

Alec: The power core's up here on the roof, behind this access hatch. 

Aldertree: Unfortunately, it's impervious to the unlock rune. 

Theo: You're the head of the Institute. You telling me you don't have a key? 

Aldertree: I do, in my office. Where Valentine is. I'll have to override the control mechanism. 

Alec: That's impossible. 

Aldertree: ( Chuckles ) Not when you have my security clearance, and know the backdoor algorithms. 

Theo: I think you wouldn't mind if the Downworld was destroyed. Certainly make your job easier. 

Aldertree: My relationship to the Downworld is more complicated than you think. 

Theo: How's that? ( Beeping ) 

Aldertree: ( Sighs ) Years ago, when I was still making my way up through the ranks of the Clave, ( Sighs ) I fell in love with a woman. Beautiful and intelligent. Sexy. And a lycanthrope. 

TYELR: He fell in love with a werewolf. 

Alec: You fell in love with a Downworlder? 

Aldertree: Seems odd, doesn't it? But Eva was special. After a year together, I was called to Alicante for a summit. When I returned, I went to see her and found the aftermath of a massacre. A Shax demon. I discovered Eva hiding in the basement. She was in shock, driven mad by grief. She couldn't control herself, so she transformed. And attacked me. She would have killed me if I hadn't used my seraph blade. Eva died in my arms. 

CAROLINE: He killed her. He is worse than I thought. 

Alec: You killed her? 

Aldertree: I had no choice. Eva couldn't control herself. That was her nature. Her wolf nature. That's when I realized a Shadowhunter could never be with a Downworlder, no matter how strong our feelings might be. 

Scene Changes. 

( Clary comes. )

Clary: Tell Valentine I'm here. 

Valentine: Hello, my dear. 

Clary: Where's Simon? Before I do anything, I need to know he's alive. 

Valentine: But I'm afraid you may have waited too long. 

Simon: Where is he? 

Scene Changes. 

Luke: You made the right decision, joining us. We need to be united now more than ever. 

Maia: Just to be clear, I'm doing this for the pack, not for you. 

Luke: You think I wanted to do that to you? 

Maia: When the pack had no other options, you chose Clary over us. 

Luke: But we did have other options. Jace's plan is gonna work, Maia. If we stick together, it will work. 

Maia: Do you really believe that? ( Alaric and Meliorn come with pack and seelies. ) 

Luke: Meliorn, I'm glad you're fighting beside us. 

Meliorn: It is my honor. Though if you are mistaken, which I fear you might be, I will never forgive you. 

Luke: Appreciate the confidence. Thanks for bringing the pack. We're gonna need all the help we can get. 

Alaric: I'm not gonna lie. It took some convincing. Some of them aren't too keen on this idea. Neither am I, to be honest. 

Luke: Then why are you here? 

Alaric: I trust you. 

Luke sighed. 

Scene Changes.

( Simon gasping ) 

Clary: Simon, hold on, okay? Stay with me, Simon. ( She cuts her wrist and takes her hand to Simon's mouth. ) Simon, please. Come on, come on, Simon. Simon, drink. ( Grunts ) Come on. It's okay, feed. 

Valentine: Careful, Clarissa. ( Clarissa gasping ) ( Simon grunting ) He's drinking too much. Stop him! Stop him! ( The circle members pull Simon away and it is revealed that Jace was there as Clary the whole time. ) ( Panting ) 

KOL: It was you all the time. 

Scene Changes. 

Clary: On the video call, Simon was in Aldertree's office. This way. 

Rose: Careful, Clary. Circle members could be anywhere. 

Clary: It's Madzie. 

Rose: Go get her. We'll find Simon. 

Magnus: Are you sure? 

Clary: She's being used, Magnus. None of this is her fault, but she needs to be stopped. ( Sighing ) 

Magnus: I'll meet you two in Aldertree's office. 

Clary: Okay. ( Clary and Rose left. ) 

Magnus: Hello, sweet pea. I'm Magnus. ( She removes her scarf but Magnus was unaffected. ) I know you're scared. You don't have to be. ( He shows her his cat eyes. ) See? I'm just like you, Madzie. I'm a warlock, too. These men are using you for your abilities. 

Madzie: He said Nana was here. 

Magnus: He lied. I wanna help you, Madzie. For real. 

They smiled at this. 

Scene Changes. 

Valentine: Shape-shifting, huh? Well, that's original. 

Jace: I learned from the best. 

Valentine: No, you didn't. I would never willingly let a vampire taste my blood. Do you have any idea what you've done? 

Jace: I saved a life. 

Valentine: A monster's life. And for what? He's just gonna die with the rest of the Downworld, anyway. ( Both grunting ) ( Jace fought with the circle members. He passes Simon the dagger. ) 

Jace: Here! We have to destroy the sword. Come on. Nice moves back there. 

Simon: Thanks, I've been practicing. ( Sighs ) 

( Camera is focused on Clary and Rose. Circle members attacked them but thy killed them. ) ( Grunting ) ( Grunting ) ( Rose goes ahead to fight the circle members but two circle members take Clary from behind. ) Clary: Hey, let go! Let go! 

ELENA: They got her. 

Rose: Clary? Clary? Damn it. 

Scene Changes. 

Aldertree: It's not working. The bypass must not apply to exterior access points. ( Six circle members come. ) Six against three. 

Theo: Could be worse. ( Whip cracking ) ( Both choking ) ( Izzy fights and kills all of them. ) Izzy! ( Grunting ) ( Panting ) 

Alec: Izzy, are you okay? ( Theo and Alec catch her. ) 

Theo: We got you. You okay? 

Isabelle: I'm so sorry, Alec. 

Alec: For what, saving our lives? 

They chuckled a bit. 

Scene Changes. 

Simon: Hey, about, you know, what happened back there... I've heard of blood thirst, even... felt it, but... never that badly. Once I started feeding, I couldn't stop. I'm really sorry. 

Jace: Don't apologize. 

Simon: I would have killed you. 

Jace: I would have let you. 

Simon: You, like, rescued me from actual death, so thanks. A lot. 

Jace: Hey, you know how you can thank me? Shut up. 

Simon: Right. Looks like they have the sword tapped into that power thing. 

Jace: Not for long. Hey. You know how to use that? 

Simon: Yeah, just point and stab, right? 

Jace: ( Sighs ) Use your vamp speed. 

Simon: Obviously. 

Jace: As soon as we get back up, we move in. ( Clary grunting ) 

Simon: It might be too late for that. 

Clary: No! Let me go! No. You can't make me do this. ( Grunting ) I won't do it! 

Valentine: Unfortunately, you don't get to decide that. ( Grunts ) I am doing this for you, your sister and for your brother, and for the rest of humanity. ( Grunts ) Clarissa, this planet is under siege by demon-blooded creatures, intent on death and destruction. Once I wield that sword, the Downworld will no longer be part of our world. And the lives of my children... will be that much safer. 

Clary: Let go! Let go! No! No! No! 

They all were holding their breathes. 

Valentine: Clarissa, please. ( Breathing heavily ) ( Valentine was about to make Clary touch the sword but Simon vamp sped and pushed Valentine. He fought the circle members. ) ( Valentine grunts ) ( Grunting ) 

( Camera is focused on werewolves, vampires and seelies who were ready to attack. )

( Phone ringing ) Luke: Let's move. ( A circle member attacks Meliorn. ) ( Grunts ) ( Groans ) 

Maia: Luke! ( Both grunting ) 

Simon: Clary, you all right? 

Clary: I'm fine. Let's go. 

( Camera is focused on Rose. ) 

Rose: Something is wrong. If Jace could destroy the sword, Valentine won't even let a bee hear it. He made sure that Dot hears that Jace's grip could destroy the sword. But why would he that? Until Jace could activate the bloody sword. ( She runs from there. ) 

ELIJAH: He will activate the sword instead. 

( Camera is focused on Jace. )

Clary: Jace... What... Jace, what are you doing? Jace! Don't. If you touch the sword, it'll kill you. Jace, don't do it! No, Jace! ( Jace touches the sword and activates it. ) ( Rose comes there. ) ( Grunts ) ( Groaning ) 

Rose: Too late. 

Simon: Why didn't that destroy the sword? 

Clary: I don't know. Jace, are you okay? 

Rose: He activated the bloody sword. 

Valentine: You're nothing if not predictable, son. ( All snarling and growling ) ( The down worlders come in. ) ( Valentine uses the sword and activates it. ) ( Exclaims ) ( Clary covers Simon. ) ( Rose makes a shield on the whole Institute so that the soul sword won't affect the down worlders outside the Institute. ) ( Downworlders screaming ) 

HOPE: Oh God, he really did a massacre. 

Clary: Oh, my God. Simon, you're okay. 

Simon: How? Every other Downworlder in here, they... they're all dead. 

Clary: I don't know. 

Rose: My magic contained the blast within the walls of Institute. 

Simon: Where's Valentine? 

Rose: ( Sighs ) He's gone. ( Gasps ) Jace. 

Jace: I don't understand. How did I activate the sword? Only someone with pure angel blood could have done it. 

Rose: You don't have demon blood, Jace. You are pure angelic blooded. ( Alec and Theo come there. ) 

Alec: No. You did this. You activated the sword? 

Clary: No. 

Jace: I did it. I thought I was destroying it, Alec, but... 

Alec: Where's Magnus? He wasn't here, was he? 

Jace: I... I don't know. 

Rose: We portaled in upstairs. We split up. 

Alec: Oh, God. 

Jace: Alec. 

Rose: ( In mind. ) Jace isn't our Jonathan. 

Theo: ( In mind. ) You are right. Jonathan was the only one who could destroy the sword and Ithuriel won't show us a vision for no reason. He was hinting us that... 

Rose: ( In mind. ) Jonathan is alive. 

KOL: You figured it out. 

( Camera is focused on Maia. )

Maia: It was all a con. He lied to us. 

Luke: You don't know that. 

Maia: Alaric, Taito... half of our pack must be dead. Jace led us into a trap. 

Luke: He wouldn't do that. It had to have been Valentine. 

Maia: Well, he has the sword now, which means he could do it again. I'm taking him down. 

Luke: Maia, the pack needs you. Go back to the Jade Wolf. Keep what's left of the pack indoors. Take them underground. I'll deal with Valentine. ( Grunting ) ( He attacks Valentine. ) ( Whimpering ) ( Bones cracking ) ( Groaning ) 

Valentine: My parabatai. ( Sighs ) If only you had stuck with me, maybe things would have turned out differently. I always thought this moment would bring me joy. But I was wrong. ( He was about to kill Luke but Jace comes. ) ( Both grunting ) ( Grunts ) 

Jace: Liar! You told me I had demon blood. Why? 

Valentine: Because that's how you are. Always ready to right the wrong, to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves. A real-life hero. 

Jace: So, you used me. 

Valentine: I just made sure Dot overheard me. That's why I left her behind, so you would come to save the day. And activate the sword instead. 

Jace: You didn't inject me with demon blood. It was angel blood. 

Valentine: You are my greatest achievement, Jace. 

Jace: I'm not your achievement. I'm your son. 

Valentine: No, you are not my son. I'm not your father. Jocelyn is not your mother. And Clary... Clary and Rose are not your sister. 

Jace: More lies. 

Valentine: Don't I wish. Truth sword, remember? ( Both grunting ) ( Panting ) ( They both were fighting. ) ( Clary and Rose come there with Theo. ) ( Rose takes the soul sword and she and Clary see the rune. ) 

Rose: Clary, give me your hand. 

Clary: Please let this work. ( Clary gives her hand and they interlock it. They both feel energy surging inside them. Rose uses her stele to draw the rune on the sword which deactivates it. She drops the sword. ) 

FINN: You deactivated it. 

( Exclaims ) ( Both grunting ) ( Jace was about to kill Valentine. ) 

Theo: Jace, don't! ( Grunts ) The Mortal Cup is still out there. 

Rose: He's the only one who knows where it is. 

Jace: You're gonna wish you were dead after the Clave gets through with you. 

Clary: Rose. The sword's gone. 

HAYLEY: No. 

Scene Changes. 

( Jace and Rose brought Valentine. )

Aldertree: A sight to see. Valentine Morgenstern in the custody of the Clave, where you will rot for your remaining days. Where is the Soul-Sword? 

Valentine: I have no idea. 

Aldertree: ( Scoffs ) Our interrogation techniques have improved since you were one of us. 

Valentine: You can torture me all you want. I don't know where it is. 

Jace: Don't believe a word he says. What else have you lied about? 

Valentine: One thing I didn't lie about is my love for you, Jace and Rosaline. ( Panting ) 

Scene Changes. 

( Alec was getting worried as he didn't saw Magnus. Someone touches his shoulder. Alec turns and sees it is Magnus. He hugs him. )

Alec: Magnus, I thought... 

Magnus: I found Madzie. I got her out just in time. I took her to Catarina's. She's safe. 

Alec: Look... Magnus, on every mission I've ever been on, I've never felt that type of fear, ever. Not knowing if you were alive or dead. I... I was terrified. 

Magnus: So was I. 

Alec: ( Panting ) Magnus... I love you. 

Magnus: I love you, too. ( They kissed. ) 

They smiled at this. 

( Camera is focused on Simon walking in between down worlders dead bodies. )

Simon: Alaric. Oh, man. You didn't make things easy on me. But you didn't deserve this. ( He closes his eyes. ) ( Sunlight wasn't affecting him. ) What the hell? 

DAMON: You can walk in sunlight. 

( Camera is focused on Isabelle cuffing a circle member. )

Raphael: Isabelle. 

Isabelle: ( Sighs ) You're alive. 

Raphael: I sped out just in time. I've come to gather what's left of my clan and... see if you needed anything. 

Isabelle: No. 

Raphael: Isabelle, please. I can explain... 

Isabelle: No, you can't. I don't want anything from you ever again. 

( Camera is focused on Jace. )

Alec: How do you know it was the truth? 

Jace: He had the Soul-Sword in his hands. 

Alec: So... Clary and Rose're not your sister? 

Jace: No, they never were. But Rose, she has become like an elder sister to me. ( Sighs ) 

Rose smiled. 

Alec: What are you gonna do? 

Jace: ( Sighs ) I'm gonna tell her. 

( Camera is focused on Clary and Rose. )

Rose: Luke. 

Luke: Tell me we got him. 

Clary: Yeah. How are you feeling? 

Luke: Better now that you two are okay and Valentine's locked up. 

Simon: Oh, no. Luke, are you okay? 

Rose: He's been sedated. 

Simon: Clary, Rose... I know it's not a good time, but there's something I have to show you. ( He takes both of them from there. )

Clary: Simon, will you tell me what's going on? 

Simon: It's a surprise. 

Rose: What are you doing? 

Clary: The sun's up, you can't... Wait. Simon! ( Laughs ) How? 

Simon: I mean, does it matter? ( Clary and Rose laugh ) ( Simon chattering ) ( Simon and Clary hugged and kissed and Jace saw it and left. )
