Bouquet Members Profile 2019

Bouquet (부켙) consists of seven members: xiyeon, charlotte, scarlette, eunjin, solar, and chowon. Bouquet debuted on September 5, 2019 under PNation Entertainment. The group was formed off survival show Épanoui, run by Mnet and Pnation. The group will promote for two and a half years.

-She placed fourth overall during Épanoui.

-She was born and raised in Busan, South Korea.

-During the show she was known to the fans as 'cell phone girl' because of the first episode where she didn't want to give the staff her phone.

-Her most well known performance on the show is Sorry Not Sorry when she surprised everyone with her dancing abilities.

-Her nickname is Princess of Busan.

-She was adopted by her foster parents when she was three years old. (weekly idol)

-She was rejected from seven entertainment companies including JYP, SM, and Starship. (VLIVE)

-She recently graduated from SOPA.

-She shares a dorm room with Charlotte and Scarlette.

-She was really nervous to become the leader of Bouquet, but the other members supported her and now she is confident in her position. (VLIVE, according to Xiyeon)

Scarlette Facts:

-She placed third overall in Épanoui.

-She was born in Bordeaux, France, but was raised in Gangnam, South Korea.

-She was initially graded by Épanoui mentors in a A rank, and stayed in that rank after re-evaluation.

-During the show she was known to the fans as the foreigner because she would pretend not to speak Korean to confuse the other trainees and mentors.

-Her most well known performance on Épanoui was 'Into The New World' when she won the vocal evaluation.

-She is allergic to seafoods. (running man)

-She doesn't consider her self smart, but has an IQ of 137 (VLIVE)

-She is very organized, she can't stand when anything is out of place (VLIVE, according to Charlotte)

-She is really really good at cooking and baking her grandmother taught her to do it (weekly idol).

-During the show she was known for being very friendly and part of the SM triplets who were very close together, though Charlotte was the only one to make it to the final lineup.

-Her most well known performance was 'As If It's Your Last' because she really stood out with her unique vocals.

-She has a youtube channel called 'Charlotte's Corner' where she posts all of her song covers

-She moved to Korea for high school and attends SOPA.

-Her mom is Korean while her dad is Australian.

-She is more fluent in English than Korean.

-Some entertainment companies in Australia noticed her videos on Youtube and gave her offers but she declined those because she wanted to be an idol in Korea.

Chowon Facts:

-She placed sixth overall in Épanoui. The finale was her first time in the debut lineup.

-She was born in Seoul, South Korea, but was raised in Montreal, Canada.

-She was initially graded by Épanoui mentors in a B rank, and stayed in that rank after re-evaluation.

-During the show she was known for being very versatile and performing in vocal, dance, and rap roles.

-Her most well known performance was 'Hocus Pocus' because she helped her team with the choreography and stepped into the role of main dancer even though she had never done anything like it before.

-She has a major international fanbase in America and Canada because she has competed on The Voice (America) and made it all the way to the semi finals at 15 years old.

-She had never auditioned for any Korean entertainment companies before joining  Épanoui.

-She is very close with the other rappers who were in the finale, Hwang Hayun and Lee Suran.

-She is in a dorm room with Yena and they are known to be the most chaotic of the members.

-She really looks up to BTS and SNSD because they inspired her to want to come to Korea to be an idol.

-She wants to attend college in the future to study music production so she can write more of her own raps.

-During the show she was well known for her visuals and bunny smile which was often compared to the mentor Jeon Jungkook's.

-She was ranked the visual center of Épanoui during the fifth episode.

-She was on Produce 101 (40th) and Produce 48 (27th).

-She became a street performer after leaving JYP Entertainment after 7 years of training.

-She was almost street casted several times while performing in Gangnam, but she didn't trust companies after leaving JYP.

-She loves watching Disney movies

-She was cut from the lineup of Sixteen and later on Itzy.

-When she was still in JYP she would become a back up dancer for her sunbaenims Miss A.

-During the show she was known as the 'First Place Girl' because after choosing the first place chair at the beginning of the competition she was in the winning team every evaluation.

-Her best known performance is 'Pick Me' where she was the center of A class.

-She is known for her fierce visuals and competitiveness, which didn't stop her from placing first during the finale.

-She is close friends with Solar and Épanoui trainee Lee Suran.

-She is in a dorm room with Solar and they are known for being the nosiest and messiest roommates (VLIVE, according to Scarlette).

-She loves SNSD and was inspired to be an idol by Taeyeon.

-She can speak English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

-She was street casted by BigHit Entertainment after challenging street dancers to a battle and was spotted by a casting agent.

Yena Facts:

-She initially placed twentieth on Épanoui, but was able to debut as the X trainee in the finale.

-She was born and raised in Cologne, Germany.

-She was initially graded by Épanoui mentors in a C rank, and stayed in that rank after re-evaluation.

-During the show she was best known for being part of the JYP triplets and for bing close friends with several of the rap trainees despite being a vocalist.

-Her best known performance was 'Hocus Pocus' where she shined as the only vocalist in a team of rappers.

-She is roommates with Chowon and they are known as the maknaes, because of their antics, even though Chowon is almost two years older than her.

-She doesn't know how to swim (weekly idol).

-She knows how to play the acoustic guitar and sometimes performs covers on Vlive.

-She moves to Korea when she was 14 and had a hard time adjusting to the language and culture. (running man)

-She is rumored to be featured in a song on Hwang Hayun's next mixtape.

-She is known to be really shy and introverted and only opens up to her close friends.

PUBLIC OPINION ON BOUQUET'S DEBUT ;
there were extremely high expectations for the debut of bouquet, and the girls didn't disappoint. though many fans were upset about their favorite trainees not making the debut lineup (as usual), bouquet did not receive a lot of hate during their debut. fans were a little upset that chowon did not have a featured rap part and that the line distribution was unfair to some of the lower ranked trainees, but overall bouquet's debut was very successful. the most popular members were seohyun, chaerin, and chowon, but overall fans were distributed evenly between the seven. their eye catching outfits and synchronized dancing earned them many new fans over the promotion period. fans were worried the bouquet would not be able to earn a win because they didn't have a girl crush concept, but on september 12, 2019, bouquet would earn their first win on m countdown, making them the third fastest group of all time to earn a music show win.
