Elspeth Liens is the youngest child and only daughter of Malcolm and Rowan Liens, the Duke and Duchess of Lennox in Scotland. She was given private lessons in reading, writing, and arts, as well as learning horseback riding and sword fighting alongside her three older brothers. Elspeth Liens lived in Scotland, growing up alongside Kenna Livingston, Aylee Seton, Lola Flemming, and Greer Norwood, before the five ladies were sent to the French Court to serve as ladies-in-waiting to Mary, Queen of Scots.
