DRAGONSTONE:
DOTS OF SWEAT WERE COVERING his forehead then slowly trickling down his temple as his arm struck harder against the dummy, it was as though his palm was glued to the hilt and Lucerys couldn't stop, not when he was so close to cut it, to shove the sword deep into Aemond's healthy eye and to hear his screams of pain as Lucerys slowly pulls out the sharp point which has attached on his uncle's eye, to make him suffer just as much as Aestra suffered after losing her son, killing Aemond would be much of a reward than a punishment for the crimes him and his family committed by usurping Rhaenyra's throne.
Luke will fight for his mother, for her rightful place, he was older now, five and ten namedays had passed by him, he understood more, the world seemed much crueler than he ever thought but Luke was courageous enough, he had faith, he had power, he mastered a dragon and he was a Targaryen just as much as a Velaryon, his little sister didn't die for nothing, his nephew wasn't killed for Luke to just sit and mourn, he will avenge both of them somehow.
"Good, you're training" Daemon spoke walking down the rocks, his steps leaving trails in the sand. Lucerys slashed the sword across the middle of the dummy, splitting it in two, both parts dropping in the sand right at Daemon's feet. The Rogue Prince nodded, a pleased grin playing on his lips, his technique with Luke was paying off, if he was honest more than with Jacaerys.
"Impressive" Daemon inquired, he was proud but will not show it especially in front of Lucerys because there will always be more to learn or to adjust. The curly haired Prince spun the sword in his hand before he lodged it back in the sheath of his belt, Luke spitted out saliva mixed with sweat and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Your brother is returning home today" Daemon said handing Lucerys a raven, the younger Prince's eyes widened in surprise taking the letter, his stomach was twisting at the idea of having to meet Jace's and Aestra's gazes again after the dreadful event that he tried to push away.
Dear mother,
I apologize for being so late. I've written to you every time after I gained the support of The Eyrie, Sisterton and White Harbor. Now we have the North on our side aswell. I wish you can find in your to forgive me for you are going to read, but I had to do it. Aestra stays in Winterfell as long as this war goes on. I must protect her, I need to know she will be safe especially after... what happened, and Lord Stark heartily agreed to host her. He has promised 2000 men to help into the war. I hope Daena is safe. I shall be back very soon.
Jacaerys
"Have I ever told you what a dumb cunt your brother is sometimes?" Lucerys frowned at Daemon's question, it brought both relief and fear for the young prince to hear his good sister will be away for a time.
"What? He did what thought is best for her. I would do the same for Rhaena" his little care for his betrothed had grown to become more than sweet smiles and waving at each other. Sometimes Luke found himself wondering how it would be to touch her lips with his own, would it taste like honey, one time the craving was so intense that he barely slept all night, his mind filled with images of Rhaena.
"As much as I appreciate you both caring for my daughters, Aestra must have come back. She's fierce, fast and knows how to wield the sword almost as better as me. She has three fucking dragons that are now trapped with the icy cunts of the North when we need them HERE!" Daemon snapped, his fury visible and on the edge, he would have never imagined Jacaerys taking such a stupid decision and losing their greatest asset of winning the war, of punishing the usurpers.
"She burnt down half of King's Landing!" Lucerys spoke back, Aestra was a dangerous person whenever rage overcame her senses, she would not think straight and only go forward with the first thought that passed her mind. Perhaps it was for the best that she would be away while war threatened the family, especially best for the realm. Daemon clenched his jaw, his hand moving at the hilt of his sword, he could not justify her thoughtless actions but it was mainly his fault for them, he behaved so disrespectful and shamelessly trying to plan the war while Rhaenyra was laboring alone in her bedchamber.
"May I remind you why and how you still live?" Lucerys froze, his mind going back to that die when he witnessed Aestra bleed the moment she put foot on the ground barely holding herself against Cannibal. Luke needed to carry to the castel and hear the screams of pain then horror after her son died.
"Without my daughter, your mother will not win back her throne" Daemon added stepping closer beside Lucerys, his voice only a whisper above the young prince's ear. Everyone was aware of who Princess Aestra Targaryen was and what she could do, nobody would be much of a fool to deny that.
"The training is over, young prince" the silver haired man fixed his posture after tapping Luke on the shoulder and leaving back to the castel. The heir to Driftmark sighed feeling free from the torture of today, his thoughts sometimes betrayed him when he would image how he sneaked in The Red Keep on his own and shoved his sword into Aemond's healthy eye, he needed to do something to avenge the deaths of his family, the Greens could not win and get away with so easily without paying a prince, a debt.

INTO THE CASTEL:
Jacaerys Velaryon had many thoughts clouding his mind, thoughts he had never believed would exist in him, thoughts that made him a sinner in front of the entire realm. As he dismounted from Vermax, the images of Aestra giving birth popped up alongside with her cries of pain that reached his ears right away, but it was all a memory. Yet there were not only sorrowful memories blurring his head, it was the sin too, from which he tried to escape speaking to himself it was all a weakness act, that it didn't mean anything.
"She will wake up, my prince. I can assure you" Cregan spoke coming to stand behind him as they took a look through the parchments of their agreement for The North to support Queen Rhaenyra's cause in the war against The Greens.
"How are you so sure, my lord?" Jace mumbled fidgeting with the corner of the parchement between his thumb and index finger. It was torture to see Aestra in pain, she saved his brother from Aemond, she gifted him a beautiful daughter and he could only stand and watch how she screamed while giving birth, how her heart broke when The Maester said the boy didn't survive.
"I've spent this last moon with your graces. As far as I could read the princess, she is a tough woman" Cregan touched his shoulder, a firm grip but gentle caress to soothe him. Jace shivered blinking a tear he hadn't realized he was holding, the idea to keep Aestra safe was to leave her behind. He wiped his cheek with the back of his hand before turning to face the lord beside him.
"I need another favor, Lord Stark. I sincerely hope you will help me" Jacaerys gulped already feeling embarrassed of much he asked of their host, but Cregan Stark was the only good option and the only person he trusted to take care of his betrothed.
"Another 2000 men?" Cregan raised his eyebrows with a grin, it was stupid joke, even if he had so many, he could not give them up, The North and The Wall required more protection than The damned South.
"That'd work but no. My betrothed Aestra needs a place to stay while me and my family are fighting in this war" Jace smiled faintly enjoying the small jest, he really wished that Cregan would agree, if so he will think of a way to send Daena here too, after all she had been betrothed with Cregan's son Rickon.
"I can host the princess until your grace comes back for her" the Lord nodded clapping Jace's shoulder then leaning his weight against the table to study the parchment again without noticing how the prince went totally silent.
"If I don't—" The Velaryon swallowed hard, his voice barely audible, Jacaerys tried not to cry, he was a man and men do not let tears overcome them yet his eyes were stinking. Cregan looked over his shoulder, Jacaerys was smaller than him with only the forehead but still The Prince of Dragonstone looked similar to a pretty girl especially because of those beautiful dark locks flowing to his shoulders. He had never thought of somebody as pretty after his wife died, but The Prince and Princess held an exceptional beauty.
"Until you return to her" Cregan repeated firmly pushing himself from the table to be face to face with the prince again, he gripped his shoulders and took a deep breath in so Jace followed to calm himself down.
"Promise me you'll take care of her. She will try to escape because she is stubborn and reckless, I know better than anyone. You have to protect her—" Jace needed to hear his oath, Aestra must live and the only way was to take her out of the war threatening their walls, she had a miserable life while he stayed at Dragonstone, from now on she will truly live even if it meant to be without him.
"Until you come back" Cregan nodded cupping Jace's face and lifting it up to finally meet his pretty chocolate eyes and round lips. Jacaerys shook his head, Lord Stark was behaving strangely awkward, it infuriated the prince why he cannot understand his worries and how he kept interrupting whenever he was about to utter the most important words.
"Shut the fuck up and listen... my lord" Jace snapped clenching his fists to his sides, he didn't mean to sound that way, being rude was not how Rhaenyra raised him. Cregan furrowed his brows and his jaw clenching but he didn't pull his hands away as their eye contact grew more intense.
"Apologies, it was impolite of me... my lord" Jace gulped, seeing Cregan turning angry could mean that he will lose the 2000 men and the place for Aestra to stay. Cregan moved one of his hands to touch Jace's rosy cheek, they took the shade from the heat growing in the fireplace, making the prince appear as the perfect image of a girl, it was hilarious somehow to Lord Stark who let out a low chuckle.
"You are the very picture of a girl, my prince" if his grace was ill-mannered then Cregan would simply return the favor but in a more subtle way. Jace was shocked, was that how northerns were jesting with a southern prince or Lord Stark was saying he had plain features too just like everyone else before?
"Pardon me?!" The prince exclaim ignoring the warm feeling in his sensitive area as Cregan traced his thumb over Jace's cheekbone. "Is this how you make fun of someone, my lord?"
"Do you see me laugh?" Cregan hummed as the prince denied his question, Jace felt his body heat grow, his heart rate increasing so rapidly that he could hear it in his ears, and the tightening in his breeches was extremely painful and noticeable, he prayed Lord Stark would not see it.
Cregan glanced down between them, he smirked at the sight of the pretty prince getting so easily hard.
"I've never seen a man going weak as fast as you" Jace gulped being completely embarrassed by the lord's bold words, yet it was Cregan's fault for that, for using his rough voice and sharp eyes, which should make him scared, but Jace felt the opposite.
"I blame you, my lord" Cregan raised a brow not knowing if the prince was laughing at him now or trying to get in the game. Jace should not, he knew that, he was a loyal man to his Aestra, but fucking seven hells he gazed at Cregan's lips for just three seconds and it was enough for him to lean in involuntarily.
"Thank you" Cregan breathed out before clashing his lips onto Jace's, the prince felt a relief he didn't know he had as Lord Stark finally stopped talking and did what Jacaerys was too afraid to. He had never kissed another man but it was not so different as kissing Aestra, but Cregan was more harsh or was the heat of the moment, Jace could not tell. He gripped Cregan's furs so tightly, he swore he could ripe them off, his mind was going dizzy as millions of thoughts were traveling through it. Jace had read that men usually cheated on their wives with another women, so he was not cheating on Aestra, right? He could not even understand what was happening, if it was good or bad, was a sinner as much as a bastard? A sinner bastard, heir to the iron throne and Prince of Dragonstone.
"My lord, Rickon wishes to see you" Jace thanked the Gods that the door had been locked when the servant knocked. Cregan pulled away avoiding his gaze as a licked his lips and ran a hand through his hair, it was Rickon's bedtime and every evening Cregan would be the one to put him in bed.
"Good night, Prince Jacaerys" Lord Stark muttered pressing the door handle and rushing out leaving the door slightly ajar. Jace was stunned, had he been dreaming this whole time or? He brought his fingers to his lips slowly touching them not realizing how his hands were shaking, nobody will ever know about this, he swore it to himself.
"Come in" Jace woke up from his daydream as his mother called for him in her chambers. Ser Erryk opened her door and led Jace inside, his mother was standing on a chair besides a babe crib and his heart melted at the sight.
"Jace, oh my sweet boy..." Rhaenyra smiled rushing to her son with open arms, pulling the prince into a very tight hug before pressing a tender kiss to his temple. Jacaerys breathed in her silver hair, it smelled like home, the scent of his mother filling his nostrils, he missed her terribly, after all he was still her darling boy, her perfect heir and her loyal shield.
"Mother.." Jace breathed into her shoulder, he realized how much he had been holding it into him, he had lost a son and was not able to mourn him properly. He needed to be tough for Aestra, for the task ahead to secure alliances with the lords and ladies of the realm for his mother cause. Rhaenyra wandered her hand through his dark luscious curls, just like when he was a little prince scared and innocent living in The Red Keep amongst crows and snakes ready to feast on his bastard blood, but his mother was always there; the dragon protecting her hatchlings.
"I... received your raven. It was dangerous to send it to me especially now" Rhaenyra spoke gently with a firm tone, she was not mad or disappointed by the sudden act of bravery, but the decisions written in that letter would affect her cause a lot. Jacaerys pulled away from her shoulder to fully facing her, his mother carried the same lilac eyes and delicate features of a moon ago, aside from him: Jace could feel the grey bags under his eyes and stung in his orbits for so many tears wept on the road back to Dragonstone after the argument with Aestra.
"As your queen all I can say is that we've lost a good rider-" Rhaenyra stated to which Jacaerys scoffed walking to one of the empty chairs near the fireplace.
"She will not be involved in this war. It's too dangerous... not for her but for them. Mother, she burned half of King's Landing! The fucking realm is in ruins" Jace hissed as his mother approached and carefully sat on the seat beside him with Daena's crib between them. Rhaenyra nodded completely agreeing with him, Aestra's mind was not lucid enough back then, anger and rage controlled her but maybe if she was given another chance, she wouldn't fail.
"I know, my darling. But she rides the largest dragon out of us all aside from Vhagar, and she controls other two dragons" Rhaenyra said, serious about the situation at hand, she needed an army and more dragons, she had the bigger number but not the length. Jace sighed biting his inside lip, maybe he had been wrong to leave Aestra in Winterfell, but it was the best decision he could have made, his gaze lingered on his asleep daughter, she was beautiful, so small and innocent like a flower, it tugged a smile at the corner of his mouth.
"As your mother, I'm proud of what choice you have made" Jace looked up at the Queen with a sincere thankful expression, Rhaenyra taught him to be kind and respect a woman, any type of woman, because this world was so cruel for women even more than for men. The Prince stood up and walked over his daughter's crib slowly, he watched her peaceful face and so pretty even in her sleep, Jace caressed her small head then moved it down to one of her tiny hands when out of instinct Daena squeezed his finger before releasing it like she was holding a toy.
"She's going to be a beautiful princess and queen one day" Rhaenyra uttered approaching the crib next to her son, she was a grandmother maybe sooner then other ladies of the realm but as long as her children were happy she was aswell. Jacaerys bent his head down to press a kiss to Daena's temple and tiny hand, she was the softest and most fragile thing he had ever laid eyes on furthermore she was his, and he would do anything to keep both her and her mother safe.
"I wish to choose an egg" Rhaenyra smiled at his words, it was tradition of their family to place a dragon egg in the cradle of a newborn child. It was considered a sign that the child was a true Targaryen if an egg placed within their cradle hatched. If the egg did not hatch, however, it was considered an ill omen.
"Both Syrax and GreyGhost left few eggs in the Dragonmont. Call for the keepers and they will lead you to it" Jace nodded stepping away from the cradle, still he had one more question that would not leave his mind, it might sound stupid but be needed to know for certain if he was going mad or not.
"A curiosity..." Jace trailed off to which Rhaenyra frowned studying her son intensively, was there any thing more that she should worry about? Or were there at least good news which she could celebrate?
"Is there... it is possible to want—.... to love two people at the same time?" he cursed in his head with each word he uttered, it was embarrassing and foolish to even wonder about something like that, unfortunately Jace felt it until today.
Rhaenyra's eyes widened at his question, she had never thought she would hear about such a situation from one of her children. The now Queen of the Seven Kingdoms had been through a state such as that in her youth with her husband Daemon and Aestra's mother Arwen, it was beautiful and adventurous for how long it lasted until Arwen was gone and years after her Laena had died too.
"Yes, it is. It might be sinful for the people of the realm but it can be true" The Queen nodded with a warm smile, making Jace's cheek go red and breath hitched as he remembered everything clearer than a memory. He didn't want to be considered a sinner heir, an unworthy king, but in his heart it was too hard to decide when he knew it was already full of them both. Jace gulped excusing himself and rushing out of the chamber leaving his mother and his daughter alone again.
"Well Daena my heart, it seems your father got the best of me I should say. I'm wondering who's the third person hm..." Rhaenyra chuckled silently sitting back in her chair and looking over the parchments full of the lords and ladies's alliances and support for the war.
