THEN.

Reyna didn't expect her day to end this way—being kidnapped by Kali, Ethan, and Aiden. She couldn't believe she had been so careless for not being more alert. Being kidnapped by a couple of Alpha werewolves was just so stupid in her mind.

She had no clue what they had injected her with, but whatever it was, it made her unable to use her magic. Her vision was blurry as well. A side effect of whatever was inside was injected into her system. Reyna was left vulnerable, just like all those years ago.

Her head tilted when she heard the sound of a motorbike. It had to be Scott. She wanted to tell him to leave, but no sound escaped from her mouth. Reyna hears him saying that he and whoever was with him (Isaac, probably) will try to reason with Deucalion.

The leader of the Alpha Pack was standing on the escalator. "You didn't come alone." He noted.

"Yeah. This is Isaac." Deucalion wasn't talking about Isaac. Derek came as well. He wanted to get his daughter back. Scott wasn't that shocked that he was here. His begging was just empty words to him. Reyna opens her mouth to warn them that Deucalion isn't alone. The second she does that, black blood starts spilling out.

Derek glares at him. He demanded to know what he did to her. "Just a concoction of various poisons that are extremely lethal to witches. Some of this, some of that." Deucalion answered. Like her brother, Cora's anger also grew. Scott knows they're going to do something risky. "Derek, don't." He begged. "You can't do this, so no one gets hurt. If someone else dies–

"Him." He pointed at the man who was making Reyna suffer. "Just him."

"Just me?" Deucalion repeated. "Now, how does a blind man find his way into a place like this all on his own?" One by one, the rest of the Alpha Pack revealed themselves. All of them stand there. Immediately, Derek lunged for Deucalion, but Kali stopped him with a kick to the head.

Derek, Cora, and Boyd started fighting the members of the Alpha pack. Isaac began fighting Ennis. Soon after, Scott joined in. Reyna didn't fully know what was going on. All she hears is a cacophony of battle noises and werewolf roars. She just wanted to be freed and go home.

As the fighting continued, Derek was close to freeing his daughter but was dragged far away by Kali. The fighting paused when nearly everyone was pinned. "Kill him," Deucalion ordered Derek. "The others can go."

Reyna freezes when she hears Deucalion coming closer. She rarely showed fear, but in this situation, it felt appropriate. She had nothing. No powers, no magic. "Do it, Derek. Take the first step." He brought out his claws and placed them an inch from Reyna's neck. "Or I'll claw your daughter's throat out." Scott didn't believe what he said. There was no way Deucalion would kill her.

"Are we serious with this kid? Look at him. He's an Alpha? To what? A couple of useless teenagers?" It was obvious that Kali believed Derek wasn't worthy to be an Alpha. He was laughable to her. Deucalion looked at Scott and said that some have more promise than others.

Kali forces Derek to choose between his pack or his family. To make her point, she steps hard on Cora's throat. Reyna feels Deucalion's claws begin to pierce her skin.

On top of the abandoned mall at a good distance from the fighting, where no one can be seen, Allison was standing with her bow and arrows. A small gasp left her mouth once she saw the state Reyna was in. The two of them barely interacted with each other. Reyna immediately disliked her because of her last name, plus the few times she tried to kill her. She barely trusted her. Allison didn't like her either. One reason is that she was related to someone she hated.

There was one time when Allison and Reyna had a civil conversation. That was when Allison found out that Matt Daehler was stalking Reyna and taking numerous pictures of her. Some were there at school, while others were taken to other places, such as through the window of the room she was staying in while temporarily staying with Melissa and Scott. Reyna was disgusted. She thanked Allison and left.

Allison prepares her bow and one of the several arrows she brought. An arrow flies past Derek, striking Ethan and Aiden, causing them to separate again into two. Allison continues firing flashbang arrows. As they kept on going, Deucalion told everyone to cover their eyes.

The fighting continues once the arrows stop. Scott gets up and takes his aim at Ennis. The two hit each other with equal force and slid away from each other. Derek attacks Ennis. They get closer and closer to the ledge. Scott helps and slashes the tendon of Ennis' leg. He pulls on Derek as he falls off the ledge.

Reyna didn't need to see to know what happened. Her confusion quickly changed into sorrow. A burst of magic comes out of her. Everyone was hit a few feet back because of her magic. Cora groaned when her back hit the wall. She was shocked that her brother was gone. She only got to be with him for several weeks. The Alpha Pack ripped him away from her.

Cora was miserable, but she had to focus on Reyna. She managed to get up– her healing was already working. She made her way to her niece, who was sobbing her heart out. Little bursts of magic were shooting out of her body. Reyna didn't know that her magic was getting out of control.

NOW.

The cross-country meet was postponed to the next day, so everyone was staying at the Glen Capri Motel for the night. Scott and Stiles were staying together in one room, Allison and Lydia were staying in another.

Stiles is going over the four suspects he has in the human sacrifice murders. It was ten but went down to five. "So, who's number one? Harris?" Scott asked. Their old chemistry teacher has gone missing and has not been found yet. "So if he's not dead, our chemistry teacher is out secretly committing human sacrifices." He said out loud.

"Who were the other four?" Stiles lists the three suspects– Cora, Deaton, and Lydia. Scott asked about the last one. "Reyna." He answered. That one shocked him. There was no way that Reyna would be the one sacrificing people. She isn't the person who does that.

He looked at him in shock and disbelief. "She has been secretive since coming back to Beacon Hills. There have been times during the whole Kanima/Matt thing when she would disappear at the most random times. She is hiding things from us, so she might be the one doing the sacrificing." Stiles rambled.

Scott recalls times when Reyna would come back. She seemed like she was carrying a lot on her shoulders. He tried to get her to open up and tell him what was going on in her life, but she would immediately say no. Reyna would say what was going on doesn't concern him. He doesn't need to know.

"She's not the one doing it."

Reyna has been lying on the couch since she was carried back to the loft. She has barely spoken since coming back from the abandoned mall. Cora and Peter left the loft not too long ago. Her aunt left an apple on the table in front of her before she and her uncle left. She barely ate since coming back. She was consumed by guilt. If only she were stronger, she wouldn't have been kidnapped, she would've been able to fight, she would've been able to save her father from death.

Morpheus climbed onto the couch and lay his body on top of her stomach. She lifted her arm to scratch his ear. As she was doing that, the door to the loft opened. Reyna quickly sat up. A gasp left her mouth. It was her father and Jennifer Blake, the new English teacher. Derek was alive.

She got up from her spot and ran to her father. Ms. Blake was explaining what happened. Derek just showed up in front of her car and passed out. She wanted to bring him to the hospital since his injuries are horrible but he refused to go. He told her to take him to his loft.

Reyna took him from Ms. Blake's arms. "I- I can help. What do you need?"

"I need you to leave. No offense but I don't need help from some stranger."

"What are you gonna do? Do you even know how to help him? His injuries are severe. Your father needs professional help."

"Leave!" Reyna snapped. Her voice was starting to piss her off. She knew what she had to do to heal her father's injuries. She just needed some herbs and magic.

Jennifer stays for a couple more seconds before she leaves. Reyna brings Derek over to the couch where she was lying just moments ago. She sets him down and leaves to go to her bedroom to get what she needs to heal him.

Stiles, Allison, and Lydia are in a room talking about how the werewolves were acting differently. They weren't acting like themselves. Allison notes that Scott wasn't like himself. The last time he acted differently was during the full moon. Stiles adds that he was a little off with him as well. "But actually, it was Boyd who was really off. I watched him put his fist through the vending machine."

Lydia points out that it is because of the motel they are staying at. She grabs the bible from the desk drawer and says if they don't leave– someone needs to perform an exorcism before the werewolves kill the three of them. Stiles concludes that they were possibly meant to come to the motel. The number increased by three, so it means three werewolves – Scott, Isaac, and Boyd.

He grabs the bible from Lydia's hand when he notices something. There were newspaper clippings from suicides that took place in the room where the three of them were standing. Every room in the motel has a bible, so that means every room also has newspaper clippings of the suicides that took place in the rooms.

"That's a beautiful thing. Most places leave a mint under the pillow. This one leaves a record of all the horrible deaths that occurred."

"What if the room next door has the one about the couple?" Lydia asked. The couple that she heard kill themselves." The three of them look at the door for a few seconds. Stiles bolts out of the room, heading straight to the next one, but unfortunately, it is locked. It wasn't locked when Allison and Lydia went in earlier. The main priority was getting Scott, Isaac, and Boyd out of the motel asap before they kill themselves.

Stiles and Lydia managed to save Isaac, Boyd, and Ethan. They and Allison also managed to save Scott from lighting himself on fire. After the events that occurred in the motel, the four of them slept in the bus. Coach opened the door to find them sleeping. "I don't wanna know. I really don't want to know, but in case you missed the announcement, the meet's cancelled, so we're heading home. Pack it in. Pack it in!" He yelled.

Ethan took a seat next to Scott. He thanks him for saving his life, even though it was Stiles who saved his life. "So I'm gonna give you something. We're pretty sure Derek's still alive." That information shocked Scott. He glanced at Stiles. "But he killed one of ours. That means one of two things can happen. Either he, along with Reyna joins our pack..."

"And kills his own."

"-- Or Kali goes after him, and we kill him, and take his daughter for the pack."

Stiles had to ask why the Alpha Pack wanted Reyna. Ethan doesn't know the reason. Deucalion just wants her to be a part of the pack because of the power she holds.

sorry for taking forever. had writer's block and was doing stuff for my classes. i'm free (for now)

got mixed feelings for this chapter. i just noticed that reyna and allison never interacted yet. maybe i will write a small scene with just them
