Reason 8: Xiao Zhan is good in interacting with others.

He saw how Xiao Zhan immediately closed his notebook and shoved it in his bag. It was obvious that the other was avoiding him at all costs. "Did you finish the layout?" Wang Yibo asked as he approached him.

Xiao Zhan averted his gaze and coughed slighty, "Ah, almost. I was just thinking how many works can be shown? Is there a limit?"

"There's no limit, but the more the better. Also, if you need assistance, just call Guo Cheng," Wang Yibo said impassively and without waiting for Xiao Zhan's reply he went to accomodate other things. If Xiao Zhan didn't want to see him, that's alright. He doesn't want to make things difficult for him either.

He went to a group  who was assigned with the set-ups and saw them discussing. "Ah, Yibo. Is the layout done?"

"Not yet, Xiao Zhan's still working on it," he explained.

"Really? Um, can you tell him to do it faster? We can't really start arranging things and decorate if we don't know his layout," a fellow member explained as he rubs the back of his neck.

"You can wait patiently for him. There are other things to do, how about you guys get the equipment in storage room?" The actor suggested and they all exchanged a look.

"Look, Yibo, just because you're an actor, you can't just boss us around," a woman said cautiously and Wang Yibo was taken a back. Was he literally bossing around? They were actually forcing Xiao Zhan to work faster and yet layouts shouldn't be rushed at all. He kept his indifferent face and replied, "If that's the case, I'll get the equipment and you all can sit down and wait for Xiao Zhan to finish." Everyone was silent and didn't say anything as they averted his gaze.

He turned to the younger man beside him who was nervously silent,"Guo Cheng, kindly tell Xiao Zhan to try and finish the layout faster? These group of people can't wait," he instructed and the young man named Guo Cheng immediately rushes out and went to the direction where Xiao Zhan is.

Wang Yibo was glad that Xiao Zhan finished they layout faster since he couldn't stand others bad mouthing the artist again. He sighed softly and  went out of the lobby. He saw Guo Cheng and Xiao Zhan talking.

In truth, he's jealous on how others can talk to him so freely while he can't. Who's fault was that? It was himself to blame.

"Enough talking, Zhan, you're commissioned to paint the 5 idols for today," Wang Yibo said as he interrupted their conversation. He truly felt bad interferring like this. It was truly rude.

The actor saw how Xiao Zhan rolled his eyes and frowned, "Can't we take a short break first? It's lunch time right now," he explained and Yibo just looked at him for a while. Right, Wang Yibo was so busy on moving the equipments earlier, he totally lost track of time. Guo Cheng already excused himself and disappeared from the scene.

"Alright, don't take too long," he said and gave the other a short bow. "Don't take too long," he heard Xiao Zhan mockingly repeated his words and Wang Yibo actually finds it funny but he could only chuckle to himself from now on. He took one last glance at the other and he saw that Xiao Zhan only took out a bar of chocolate. Still craving for sweets when he needs to eat a proper meal?

Wang Yibo exited the building to buy a light snack and met the model that he was acquainted with. "Oh, Yibo!" Li Qin said with a smile as she approached him. "Good noon, Qin. I'm just about to take my lunch. You can go ahead-"

"I didn't eat too! Let's go ah, how could you shut your fellow co-star," she pouted and Wang Yibo indifferently looked at her, "I have work to do, I can't just sit down and chat down to eat."

"I wasn't either! Let's just grab a siopao or something," she suggested and Yibo couldn't argue with that. The two immediately went back to the building and by the time they arrived, Yibo already finished the food that he bought.

Wang Yibo and Li Qin discussed afterwards about the plan for the gallery. He told her that she's the first one to be painted and explained her some details when there was a sudden cough. Both of them stopped talking and faced the person who coughed, it was Xiao Zhan. "Ah, so who's the first person I'm gonna paint?"

Wang Yibo stepped closer and introduced Li Qin, "Zhan, this is Li Qin. She's the first model you're gonna paint." Xiao Zhan gave Li Qin a dashing smile and said, "Well miss Qin, why don't we start?"

"Ahaha! What a charming artist you are!" Li Qin said with a laugh and Xiao Zhan just chuckled at her remark. Wang Yibo looked at their exchange and didn't say anything. Xiao Zhan is really good with talking. Everyone likes to interact with him, like a moth drawn to a flame.

Earlier, Xiao Zhan told him that he can't paint 5 people since his wrist was already too tired and it started hurting. Of course, Wang Yibo is extremely worried and immediately agreed. He also wants to talk to him and get Xiao Zhan's wrist a check-up from a doctor but who was he to do that?

It was already getting late and Guo Cheng bid farewell to Wang Yibo. The younger then went to the artist to say his goodbye, too. When Guo Cheng left, Wang Yibo is very much aware that the only ones who were left is Xiao Zhan and him. Both of them silently worked and fixed some things.

Yibo glanced at the silent Zhan who was picking up papers and then gathered his courage to speak, "There's extra food left at the lobby area, you should eat it if you're feeling hungry." After he spoke, he turned his back at the other. He doesn't want to see what face he was making.

The actor could feel Xiao Zhan's gaze from behind. Until finally, he replied,"Ah, no, thank you."

"Are you sure? You didn't eat any rice earlier," Wang Yibo said as he turned to look at him. He's really worried that the only thing Xiao Zhan ate is a piece of chocolate bar.

Xiao Zhan looked stunned for a while. "I, uh, I'm sure," Xiao Zhan replied as he averted his gaze and continued to work. Wang Yibo didn't say anything after that. I can't force him.

After they finished cleaning up and fixing, they went out and locked the building. As Xiao Zhan was about to leave and said a quick, "I'll be going now, bye," suddenly a warm hand stopped him from his tracks. Wang Yibo doesn't know what has gotten into him when his hand suddenly moved on its own to stop the other.

He felt his heart thumping as he nervously held Xiao Zhan's hand. Yibo sighed internally and thought of the untouched food.

"Zhan, take the food. I'm worried that you didn't eat anything," he explained and yet, Xiao Zhan didn't turn around. He was frozen in place. "Yibo, I told you, I'm not-"

"Just take it, please," He pleaded but he felt Xiao Zhan turned to face him and takes his hand away from Yibo's grasp. "Why are you doing this? Giving me mixed signals, suddenly you care if I ate or not? Are you here to play with my feelings again?" Xiao Zhan croaked out and angrily faced Wang Yibo. "I..." The other man trailed off. He shouldn't have called out to him. It was hurting Xiao Zhan all over again.

Zhan was right, if he suddenly cared, he's literally confusing him. But he really just can't stand there and worry. Xiao Zhan gave a bitter laugh as tears were forming in his eyes. Yibo saw this and felt his heart churn. It was truly heartbreaking. He's hurting Xiao Zhan over and over again. Wang Yibo just looked at him apologetically, he couldn't say anything. If he did say something, it will surely make the situation worse.

"Staying silent again for the millionth time! No reason to say and meaningless actions. Can you please..." Xiao Zhan's words died down as he was already crying. Yibo wanted to reach out and comfort him but he didn't. He stood there frozen as he looked at Xiao Zhan crying. Because if he gives him a hug right now, it will confuse the other more and he'll probably get pushed away.

"You know what, Yibo? You're a fucking cheater. You tricked me that you loved me. You tricked me for all those years and finally, you cheated on my heart that I gave to you whole heartedly," Xiao Zhan continued between sobs. Yibo felt like his ears were bleeding as he listened. He really wanted to explain himself that he didn't trick Xiao Zhan at all. He wanted to tell him how much he loves him so much. But he can't. He just can't. If he says that, Xiao Zhan will be hurt, not only with his words, he'll be hurt by his parents too.

"I'm just so tired with your shit! I can't really understand you and you never gave me the chance to!"

Wang Yibo raised his hand and was about to touch Xiao Zhan's face to wipe his tears but he stopped himself and didn't do it. What right does he have to do that? Wasn't he the one who caused all of this?

"Please, enough already..." Xiao Zhan whispered as he wiped his tears. Wang Yibo truly hurt the most precious person in his life.
