Lorelei hates summertime.

As much as she loves the pool parties and heat and everything one loves about summer, she disliked it the most out of the other three seasons.

Her birthday was in the summer which as surprising as it may seem, isn't fun. Almost everyone is out of town during summer or are more busy doing more important things than spending time with "The weird Addams girl".

But this year, Lorelei had to admit, she did like her birthday more than she usually did because this year, she had more people than just Lydia and her dad attend.

For her 17th birthday, Lorelei Addams had four more guests than her usual amount; which wasn't a lot but she'll take what she can get. Isaac, Scott, Stiles and Derek all came over to the Addams household and had a feast of all the greatest family recipes.

Now summer was over and a part of the Addams girl was sad about it being over but the other part of her was happy. Happy she'd get too see Allison, who she and Lydia had just picked up to hang out with after her long trip in France.

"It is not a triple date. It is a group thing." Lydia yelled from the drivers seat, looking at Lorelei in the passenger seat beside her before turning to Allison in the backseats.

Lorelei slowly leaned over the center console, looking at Lydia with a fake confused face and furrowed brows. "Do our dates know it's a group thing?"

Just as Lydia was about to reply with a "no", she froze, catching onto Lorelei's trap, turning to her with a small smirk. "Nice try." She said, her smirk getting bigger, making Lorelei groan, facing the road as Allison stuck her head between the two seats, looking at Lydia with worried eyes. "I told you that I'm not ready to get back out there."

"You were in France and didn't do any dating for four months?" Lydia asked, turning her head to look down at Allison. When Allison shook her head no, Lorelei frowned, slumping in her seat slightly. "Oh, that's a bummer. I heard French boys are beautiful."

It was silent for a few seconds before Allison leaned further so she could look back and forth between Lorelei and Lydia. "Did you guys?" She asked and Lorelei shook her head no, not getting the chance to date or even have a fling with anyone over the summer.

Allison nodded at the blondes response, turning to Lydia for her answer. "I mean, after..." Lorelei's eyes widened at where Allisons words were heading and she quickly put her hand over Allison mouth, making the brunettes eyes widen, looking at Lorelei without moving her head.

"Do not say his name. She will ramble. And I heard this rambling all summer, I do not need to hear it again." Lorelei spoke slowly and Allison nodded, making  Lorelei smile, removing her hand from Allisons face. Allison gulped, sitting up slightly as she turned to Lydia. "Is he okay? I mean, did everything work out?"

Lydia trilled her lips, gripping the steering wheel tighter as she sighed. "Well, the doctors looked like total idiots when he turned up alive, but everyone got over it. And yes, Derek taught him the Werewolf 101, like how not to randomly kill people during a full moon."

"So then you've talked to him?" Allison asked, her eyebrows raised slightly. Lydias lips were pulled into her mouth, turning her head to look at Allison. "Uh, not since he left for London."

"You mean since his dad moved him to London." Lorelei grumbled with sarcastically wide eyes and Lydia turned to her with a small smirk, her head shaking. "Whatever, he left. And seriously, an American werewolf in London? Like, that's not gonna be a disaster."

"Sounds like a movie." Lorelei muttered mindlessly, now looking ahead of her as she twirled a strand of hair around her index finger.

"So you're totally over him?" Allison asked and Lydia turned to Allison and Lorelei with wide, aggravated eyes. "Would I be going on a triple date if I wasn't?" She yelled, her voice going higher with every word before her face fell, realizing she had ruined her plan.

Lorelei let out a small snort that soon turned into a laugh as Allison looked at Lydia who was keeping her eyes on the road. "So it is a date." Allison whispered with a smirk and Lorelei shook her head, squinting at the Argent girl. "No. It's an orgy." Lorelei whispered, making Lydia groan, pushing Lorelei's head away from her and Allison, grumbling a small "It is not an orgy." as they pulled up to a red light.

The car was silent beside Lorelei's small laughs, still thinking of the previous conversation before a gasp from Allison made her stop.

"Oh, my God. Oh, my God." Allison muttered, making the two girls in the front seats turn to look at her. They watched as Allison covered the right side of her face as she pointed to her right. Lorelei turned her head and immediately let out a snicker at Scott and Stiles in the lane next to them.

"Oh, my God. I can't see him, not now." Allison let out worriedly as Stiles waved at the three girls. Lorelei, still laughing, waved back at the boy as Allison groaned, looking at Lydia with wide eyes. "Will you go? Just go!"

"But the light." Lydia said and Allison shook her head. "Go! Please!" Allison begged and Lydia groaned, slamming on the gas and running the red light. Lorelei gasped at the sudden movement, grabbing onto her seat as Lydia looked back at Allison. "You all right?"

Instead of answering, Allison kept her eyes behind her, watching the Jeep. "Lydia, stop. We need to go back and talk to them." Allison said and Lorelei let out another snicker that soon turned into a laugh at Allison indecisiveness.

"Oh my God." Lorelei laughed out, her laugh high pitched, reminding the two girls in the car with her of a witches laughs in movies. Lydia laughed along with Lorelei, always finding her laugh contagious as Allison scolded the blonde, whacking her arm. "Lor, stop laughing this isn't funny!"

Lorelei only started to laugh more, turning in her seat to look at Allison as she held up her index finger and thumb, keeping a small space between the two. "It's a little funny." She giggled out, making Allison roll her eyes, turning around to look at the boys in the Jeep through the back window.

"Why would they stop?" She asked, making Lorelei and Lydia turn around as well, Lydia tilting her head slightly. "It's Stiles and Scott. Do you really wanna try applying logic to those two?"

"Or because it's a one lane street and we stopped." Lorelei suggested but neither girls answered.

Suddenly, Loreleis vision turned white and she froze, a small gasp escaping her lips that neither Lydia nor Allison noticed.

Lorelei could hear faint gallops and she slowly started to see a deer in the back of her mind before it all went away, her vision going back to normal as she tried to catch her breath.

Lorelei's brows furrowed as she looked at the front windshield of the car as Lydia and Allison continued to watch Scott and Stiles behind them. "Maybe we should go back..." Allison muttered when Lorelei started to hear the galloping again only this time, it wasn't her visions.

A deer was heading straight for the car and Lorelei's eyes widened, sticking her hands in front of Lydia and Allison to protect them. "Look out!" She screamed, not having enough time to cast a spell on the animal before he crashed into Lydia's car, breaking the windshield.

Lydia and Allison screamed, Allison ducking and hiding behind the two front seats as Lydia grabbed onto Lorelei's arm. "Get out! Get out!" Lydia yelled and the three girls stumbled out of the car as Stiles and Scott ran towards them.

"Are you okay?" Scott yelled as he ran towards Allison and Stiles ran towards Lydia and Lorelei.

"It came out of nowhere." Lydia muttered to Stiles before the boys eyes fell onto Lorelei, his eyes widening slightly. "You're bleeding." Stiles muttered, reaching up to the girls forehead and wiping the blood with his sleeve. Lorelei shook her head, her eyes falling to the ground. "I'm fine." She said, making Lydia watch her with wide eyes.

"Well, I'm not okay!" Lydia screamed, making everyone look at her. The strawberry blonde huffed, walking towards Lorelei and grabbing her hand. "I am totally freaking out. How the hell does it just run into us?" She breathed out, looking back and her car, the deer still in the windshield.

Scott watched Lydias eyes on her car before slowly starting to walk towards it. Lydia looked between Scott and the deer before shaking her head. "I saw its eyes right before it hit us. It was like it... it was like it was crazy."

Lorelei instantly shook her head, her lips pulled into a line. "No, it was scared." She muttered and Scott nodded along with her as he watched the deer. "Actually... Terrified."

...

After the very traumatizing turn of events of the night before junior year, Stiles drove the three girls home and Lorelei got as much sleep as she could get, which was little to none, before her first day of school.

As always, Lorelei waited outside her house for the Martin girl to pick her up and drive her to school where they'd meet up with Allison.

As the two girls walked through the halls of the school to get to their lockers where Allison was waiting for them, they would point out any boy that would be good for either of them. When they finally got into Allison line of sight, the Argent girl groaned, catching the two girls attention as they quickened their soles towards her.

"You know, it's okay to be single. Focus on yourself for a little while, work on becoming a better person." Allison said and Lorelei instantly laughed, going to unlock her locke as she rose her brows at Allison. "I feel like you forget who you're talking to sometimes."

Allison gave the blonde a playful glare that the Addams girl just smirked at, crossing her arms over her chest as she grabbed the book she needed before closing her locker, leaning back against it. "Listen, if you need to do that thing where we talk about me or Lyds but we're actually talking about you, it's totally fine." She said and Lydia nodded from beside her in agreement.

"But I don't want a boyfriend. I want a distraction." Lydia said and Lorelei rose her index finger, turning to Lydia as she shook her head. "Uh... I want a boyfriend."

"How about brothers?" Allison asked. Lorelei and Lydias brows furrowed at Allisons words but the girl just smirked, pointing behind them, making Lorelei and Lydia turn around.

Walking down the hallway were two boys, twins, walking down the hall. Lorelei slowly started to smile at the two boys. Lydia looked at the two with a smirk, her head tilting slightly. "Twins."

A loud, kooky laugh from Lorelei made Allison and Lydias eyes leave the twins and turn to the girl who was poking Lydia with her two index fingers. "Oh... I call dibs!" She laughed out, emphasizing every word as the bell rang.

Lydia rolled her eyes as Allison snickered at the blondes excitement, Lydia grabbing Lorelei's hand and pulling her into their class.

The Martin girl continued to pull Lorelei to the far side of the room till they got to two seats in the same row; one seat next to Stiles and the other behind it. Lydia headed for the seat closer to the front which was the seat next to Stiles as Lorelei head to the one behind Lydia.

Once she was seated, Lorelei got comfortable in her seat, looking around to see who was sitting around her. When her eyes locked with the boy she was sitting next to, one of the new twins, the boy sent her a small smile that Lorelei kindly returned before her and the rest of the classes phones buzzed.

Lorelei reached into her pocket to see who had messaged her when a voice started to speak exactly what she was reading off her new notification.

"The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway leading to the uttermost ends of the earth flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness." A woman who Lorelei assumed was her teacher, spoke as she walked into the room.

"This is the last line to the first book we are going to read. It is also the last text you will receive in this class. Phones off, everyone." She said and Lorelei immediately turned off her phone, not using it much during school hours anyway.

"Hey, Lydia." Stiles whispered, catching both Lydia and Lorelei's attention as he pointed down at Lydias ankle, a band-aid wrapped around it. "Is that from the accident?"

"No. Prada bit me." Lydia answered, turning back to her desk but Stiles' eyes widened as he sat up slightly. "Your dog?"

Lorelei shut her eyes, letting her head fall to the table at Stiles' words and Lydia slowly turned to face him again. "No, my designer handbag." She said, making Stiles' jaw drop.

"Yes, her dog." Lorelei said, her words muffled from her face still facing the desk. Stiles looked back and forth between the two girls before scooting slightly closer to them. "Okay. What if it's, like, the same thing as the deer?" He said, making Lorelei raise her head to look at him as he continued.

"You know, like, how animals start acting weird right before an earthquake or something?" He asked before turning back to Lorelei. "That's a thing, right?"

Lorelei slowly nodded, making Lydia scoff. "Meaning what? There's gonna be an earthquake?" She snarked and Stiles shook his head. "Or something. I just... maybe it means something's coming. Something bad."

"It was a deer and a dog." Lydia spoke slowly as if her words would finally snap in Stiles' head.

Lorelei's vision turned white again, a small gaps escaping her lips that this time, Lydia and Stiles heard.

"Lor? You okay?" Stiles asked, leaning over in his seat slightly to wave his hand in her face but Lydia whacked his hand away.

Lorelei saw a concrete road, no house or anything around it. Just a road as a shadow of birds flew over her. Hundreds of birds. The squawking of the birds got louder and louder until Lorelei couldn't take it anymore.

She shut her eyes as tight as she could before all noise went away. A shaky breath escaped her lips as she slowly opened her eyes and was back in the classroom.

"Birds." Lorelei whispered, making Stiles and Lydia sit up slightly, looking at her in confusion. "What?" Stiles asked and Lorelei whipped her head to Stiles with wide eyes. "Birds."

The two watched as Lorelei's head whipped to the big windows just as a bird ran into it, blood splattering across the glass. In Lorelei's head, the squawking of the birds got louder and louder before it came to real life and everyone could hear the birds.

A shadow came over the trees around the school before everyone in the class could faintly make out the flock of birds coming straight for the window.

"Get down, everyone!" Ms Blake yelled and Lorelei instantly grabbed Lydias hand, pulling her down with her under their own seats.

When the glass started to break from the birds ramming through it, shards fell against Lydia and Lorelei, making the two of them shriek. Stiles wasted no time jumping across the aisle way to cover himself around Lydia so she wouldn't get cut while Lorelei took of her jacket to wrap it around her legs so her bare legs from her skirt wouldn't get cut.

Once Lorelei let the shock from the glass shattering go away, she closed her eyes and thought of a protection spell for her and everyone else in the class but was cut off by hands grabbing her shoulders and pulling her out from under the seat and and under another.

"I got you." The voice said as she felt the body move around so he was closer to the glass than she was. Lorelei opened her eyes, ruining her spell as she looked to see who had moved her. Her eyes fell on the boy that sat next to her. One of the twins as he wrapped his arms around her and used himself as a shield so she wouldn't get cut.

...

After being checked for injuries, Lorelei, Lydia and Allison had the all clear to go home, resulting in the girls heading to their lockers to grab any items they needed.

As Lorelei put in her locker combination, Lydia let out a low hum, leaning into the lockers beside the blondes.  "Is it me or is Beacon Hills turning into more like beacon for the totally bizarre and supernatural?" Lydia asked and Lorelei rolled her eyes as she opened her locker, giving the girl a sarcastic smile. "Hence why it's called Beacon Hills, Lyds."

"Excuse me?"

A wavering voice coming towards them made the three girls stop their conversation, watching as a woman none of them had seen before stumble towards them. "Where's Scott McCall?" She asked once she was in front of the three.

Lorelei watched the girl cautiously, closing her locker as she crossed her arm.

When none of the teens answered, the lady turned to Allison, raising her brows. "You're Allison, right?" The woman asked and Allison slowly nodded as Lorelei took a small step forwards, looking at the woman warily.

"Yeah, how do you know-" "Where's Scott?" The woman yelled, her voice getting louder as she interrupted Allison.

"He had to leave." Lorelei spoke up, making the woman whip her head to her. "Is he coming back?" The woman panicked, grabbing Allisons wrist, the girl wincing slightly at her tight grip.

Lydia watched the woman with wide eyes, pointing at her angrily. "Hey, easy with the physicality, sweetheart." She warned before the woman grabbed Lydias wrist with her free hand, making Lorelei's face fall, looking up at the woman with angry eyes.

"Watch it!" Lorelei yelled, her eyes flashing golden slightly but no one could notice from how bright the hallway was. The woman watched Lorelei for a few seconds before nodding towards her. "You're Lorelei." She said and Lorelei's demeanor instantly fell as the woman continued. "You should go to the hospital, he's all alone in that room."

Lorelei's brows furrowed, looking at the woman with almost scared eyes. "Who's all alone?"

Instead of answering her question, the woman looked behind her, her breath hitching before she ran away. Lorelei watched the woman leave with a bewildered look before slowly turning around to Lydia and Allison.

"Do I... I mean, should I go? I'm gonna go." Lorelei said, asking herself more than she was asking Lydia and Allison. Before either girls could stop her, Lorelei spun on her heels and ran out of the school, heading for the hospital.

...

Luckily, the hospital was only a few blocks from the school so it didn't take long for Lorelei to get there. As soon as she entered the building, the girl was in search for Scott's mom.

When she found her at a nurses station a few hallways away from the main entrance she continued her way towards her, maybe on the station next to her once she got to the woman.

Melissa turned her head at the body beside hers, her eyes widening in surprise at Lorelei's presence. "Lorelei, is everything alright?"

"Has anyone I know been admitted into the hospital?" Lorelei asked and Melissa sighed, closing the files she was looking at. "I was wondering when one of you guys would show up." She said, only worrying Lorelei more.

Melissa nodded her head to the elevators behind her, giving Lorelei a small smile. "Second floor. Room 15." Melissa said and Lorelei slowly nodded, heading towards the elevator.

She felt like she was out of her mind as she walked into the elevator, her mind had completely blanked on who could be in the hospital. She didn't even realize she had pressed the button to the second floor until she felt the elevator go up.

When the doors opened Lorelei slowly walked out and into the hallway, her eyes trailed on all the numbers by every door, waiting till she got to 15.

12... 13... 14...

Now Lorelei was standing in front of room 15, her nerves were rattling inside of her as she slowly opened the door.

And all her nervous dried up when she saw Isaac Lahey lying in the bed, sending her a big smile, catching her scent and her nerves as soon as she got into the hospital.

"You were worried about me!" Isaac cheered and Lorelei groaned, walking into the room and closing the door behind her. "This is so Isaac of you!" She yelled, making Isaac looked at her with furrowed brows. "Isaac of me? What does that mean?" He asked, getting defensive over Lorelei's words.

The blonde rolled her eyes, walking over to the seat at his bedside as she glared at him. "You are literally a werewolf. You heal. You do not need to be in a hospital bed." She said and Isaac frowned slightly. "But I get free Jello."

Lorelei squinted at Isaac, a slow smile growing on her face. "What kind of Jello?" She asked and Isaac smirked, turning away from Lorelei to the table on the other side of him, revealing a half eaten red jello cup.

"Strawberry." He said and Lorelei pursed her lips before snatching the jello cup out of his hands and taking a bite.

After a few seconds, she let out a laugh. "You know... when you get discharged from here, you might need to break my leg so I can get in here." She said, making Isaac snort, shaking his head.

Lorelei continued to laugh as she took another bite of jello. "You know a shit ton of birds flew into our English class today?" She asked and Isaac's eyes widened as his jaw dropped. "No way, really?" He asked and Lorelei nodded, using her finger to cover her mouth.

"Yeah, we were just sitting there when they all started crashing through the windows like—!" Lorelei yelled, making the sound effect of glass shatter shattering as she shook her hands only making Isaac laugh harder.
