x. season of the witch
"Idioms, analogies, metaphors, and similes, all tools the writer uses to tell their story."
Lorelei was hardly listening to Ms. Blake as the woman walked through the chairs of students, busy picking at her cuticles. Ms. Blake stopped right at Lorelei and Lydia seats, the two girls sitting beside each other. She looked down at Lydia's notebook where doodles of trees were being drawn and smiled. "Lydia, I wasn't aware you had so many hidden talents."
Lydia smiled and twisted her head to look up at the teacher. "You and every guy I've ever dated." She hummed happily. The teacher stared down at her, her jaw dropped as she lost her words. Lorelei looked up to the woman between her and Lydia, slowly bringing her hand to her mouth to hide her giggles.
Mrs. Blake slowly closed her mouth and forced a smile onto her face. "Oh, um, well, that was an idiom, by the way." She slowly spoke, hoping to turn Lydia's words back into the lesson as best as possible. As she walked back towards her desk, she cleared her throat and went back on topic. "Idioms are something of a secret to the people who know the language or the culture. They're phrases that only make sense if you know key words. Saying jump the gun is meaningful only if you know about the starting gun in a race, or a phrase like 'seeing the whole board."
From the seat in front of Lorelei, Stiles whipped his head up. "Like chess." He blurted. Ms. Blake spun around to face Stiles, a small smile on her face as she nodded. "That's right, Stiles. Do you play?"
Immediately, Stiles's eyes widened, his shoulders slumped and his demeanor shifted at all the eyes on him. "Uh, no. My father does." He stuttered out. The woman pressed her lips into a line and gave the boy a short nod before she turned back to the front of the room. As she continued with her lesson, Scott leaned closer to Stiles.
"I think I can get to Ethan. I'm pretty sure I can make him talk." Stiles whispered, making sure he was quiet enough so only Stiles could hear him, not Lydia and Lorelei. Stiles furrowed his brows, looking up at Ms. Blake and back at the girls seated behind him before turning to Scott. "What do you want to do that for?"
"The druids are emissaries, right? So what if the Darach was an emissary to the alphas?" Scott whispered in an obvious tone. Stiles roll his eyes at Scott's sentence, a silent groan leaving his lips. "Okay, first of all, I cannot believe that we've gotten to the point where a sentence like 'what if the Darach was an emissary to the alphas?' Actually makes sense to me. Second of all, we're gonna have a huge problem getting to Ethan." Stiles snarked. When he noticed Scott's confused expression, he answered his own statement. "Going through Aiden."
Scott sighed at Stiles's words, completely forgetting about Aiden, he leaned back into his seat in aggravation and looked at the front of the room as Stiles continued. "Ever since he's been back at school, they're always together." Stiles whispered, keeping his words at the same volume as before, knowing Scott could still hear him just fine.
Scott slowly turned back to Stiles, shrugging in an annoyed defeat. "How are we gonna separate them again?"
It was as if the idea came to their minds at the same time. Their faces brightened in unison. They slowly turned to each other and when they realized they both had the same idea, they both turned around to face Lorelei.
Feeling eyes on her and seeing Scott and Stiles both turn in their seats. Lorelei slowly raised her head from her nails and sighed as her shoulders slumped. "What now?"
...
As much as Lorelei hated the plan, she texted Aiden after class, telling him to meet her in Coach Finstock's office, knowing the man would be busy on the field.
Her class was a lot closer to the office than Aiden's was so she was there before him. Lorelei leaned back against Finstocks desk, tapping her nails against the wood mindlessly as she waited for Aiden to arrive.
She was probably alone in there for two minutes before the door handle started to wobble and the door opened.
Aiden smiled at Lorelei, his eyes glued to her as soon as they landed on the girl.
Lorelei shifted under the intense gaze. His eyes seemed to be ghosted as he closed the door and looked at her, making her feel as if she were being analyzed. Aiden seemed momentarily in awe, his eyes watching her as if he blinked, she'd disappear.
Aiden doesn't necessarily feel bad for killing Boyd, but the guilt did start to eat at him once he realized Lorelei wouldn't talk to him anymore.
Lorelei became happiness for Aiden. Someone to look forward to seeing at school everyday and talking to. He was making progress with her and he was even going to ask her out on a proper date.
But that's all screwed up now.
"What's that look for?" Lorelei asked, watching him with furrowed brows.
Aiden instantly shook himself out of his thought and spoke. "Nothing. I'm just kind of surprised. You've barely talked to me since..." His words slowed and his eyes left Lorelei's. The blonde pressed her lips together in annoyance, her eyebrows raising angrily. "Since you killed Boyd?" She answered in a matter-of-fact tone, her voice cutting the silence before it could get too long.
Aiden sighed, partially annoyed and partially guilty. He stepped closer as Lorelei stayed put. "I told you that was Kali." He pleaded, his voice tinged with frustration and plea. But Lorelei was stubborn, her anger towards him still fresh.
Her lips curled slightly at Aiden's words. "You were the one that dropped Boyd's body onto Derek's claws. That's your fault." She retorted as she jabbed a finger into his chest, her sharp acrylic nails unintentionally digging into his skin.
He winced slightly, more from surprise than pain, and quickly caught her hand, gently but firmly bringing it down between them. Not backing down, he made the gap between them smaller, taking another step closer that prompted Lorelei to shake her head in disbelief.
"Get away from me." She muttered, her voice low as her heart beat started to pick up its pace in her chest. Aiden just smirked, as if Lorelei's tough front was just a game to him, it wasn't like she took a step away from him. "Why should I?" He shot back, his voice low and smug, a mix that surprisingly stirred a flutter in Lorelei's stomach yet made her blood boil. "I hate you." Lorelei snapped, forcing the words out.
"You don't hate me." Aiden countered softly, his confidence never faltering as he inched even closer, his smile somehow breaking through her defenses. Lorelei grew a little dizzy at her and Aiden's close proximity. Her eyes were kept on his shirt before they slowly flickered to his eyes.
"Not true." Lorelei insisted, her voice quiet and her heart betraying her with its rapid, loud beats she was sure Aiden could hear.
Aiden tilted his head playfully, his smirk falling into a smile, not believing her words. He lifted his free hand to gently cup her cheek. "Then why haven't you pulled away?" He murmured. Aiden's response was like a soft whisper that brushed against her skin that only sent chills down her spine. It all made Lorelei realize how the thin line was between desire and hate.
She became hyper-aware of everything between them in that moment. Their faces being a mere few inches apart, his hand resting on her cheek, and his free hand still glued to hers between their bodies. Lorelei found herself caught in his gaze, her anger seeping away by the second as she struggled to maintain her high walls.
The people she was mad at now? Scott and Stiles for putting her in this position.
Aiden's hand was a warm contradiction to the cold air in the office. His proximity was overwhelming; everything was him. He was all she could see, feel and hear. When Aiden made the action to look down a mere few inches to her lips, Lorelei's breath caught in her throat.
Something in Lorelei tugged, a beg to let him do what was swarming his and her minds. Silently, Lorelei's eyes fell down to Aiden's lips then back and forth between his eyes and back down to his lips, not knowing where to look with all the emotions flashing through her body.
Aiden took her actions as an acceptance. He leaned in, their noses brushing and the shadow of the others lips painting their own. Lorelei could've sworn she felt his lips brush hers before a loud knock on the door shattered the moment.
It was as if the world beyond their bubble had suddenly been popped. Lorelei jumped away, the noise startling her. Instead of jumping away from Aiden, she side stepped behind him, using the body as a shield. Sure, she was a witch, but he can heal unlike her.
Object continued to bang against the door as if someone were throwing things at it. Aiden's brows furrowed, he took angry steps towards the exit of the office, muttering a small "What the hell is that?"
The banging continued and frankly, it was freaking Lorelei out. She followed Aiden out of the office and into the locker room as Aiden searched for the culprit.
The two of them barely stepped out of the office before a weight was thrown into Aiden's side. Lorelei gasped as Aiden got pushed into the lockers, Cora pinning if back with her forearm against his shoulders as he other hand clawed at his stomach.
Lorelei was frozen for a moment, her eyes wide and her jaw fallen. It wasn't until Aiden screamed in pain that Lorelei finally got the strength to try and stop the werewolf.
"Cora!" Lorelei yelled, running up to the older girl. She grabbed onto the girls shoulders, hoping to pull her off, but Cora was in a blinded rage. Without much of a thought, Cora turned around to face Lorelei and used her hand that was once clawing at Aiden's chest to grasp her shirt and throw her back.
Cora must've been angry because she threw Lorelei across the room. Lorelei tried her hardest to come up with a safety spell, but her body was flying too fast, Lorelei's head missing the sinks in the locker by a mere few inches.
Lorelei's head pounded, she groaned in pain, tears threatening to spill as slowly attempted to bring her hand up to her injury. Aiden weakly watched Lorelei and grew angry. Angry at Cora for hurting her. He looked back down to the youngest Hale and roared.
Mustering up as much strength as he could, Aiden's hand grasped Cora's neck a squeezed, his claws digging into her neck. Cora's slashes she made to his stomach stopped as she hissed in pain and tried to get air to reach her lungs. Aiden's fangs grew, the anger still growing as he listened to Lorelei's breathing from across the room, making sure she was okay since she couldn't heal like him.
He threw Cora across the room, two sinks away from Lorelei. Cora didn't have the same luck as Lorelei, her head hitting the sink unlike Lorelei. Cora groaned on the floor, rolling around in pain as Aiden took slow strides towards her.
Lorelei weakly started to sit up, her vision blurry and nausea starting to form. Her vision started to come back to normal as she watched Aiden stand directly in front of Cora. Just before he could do anything, the door swung up, Ethan, Scott, and Stiles running in.
Ethan ran to his brother, grabbing his arms and pushing him back. "Aiden! Stop!" Ethan yelled, pulling Aiden back a couple feet away from Lorelei and Cora.
"She came at me! And she threw Lorelei across the room!" Aiden yelled back, trying to excuse his actions as Lorelei slowly crawled towards Cora. Her arms were shaky under her weight, almost not being able to hold herself up. But she reached Cora and gently cupped her face.
Slowly, she started to take the girls pain. Lorelei's body trembled under the strain of the transfer. The pain she drew from Cora only growing in her. Her muscles ached and her vision that had just came back started to go blurry again.
"It doesn't matter! Kali gave Derek until the next full moon. You can't touch him or her." Ethan screamed, but Aiden wasn't listening. Instead, he watched Lorelei on the floor in shock. Cora had just thrown her across the room and most likely gave her a concussion yet here she was, harming herself further just to heal her.
When a droplet of blood traced a dark crimson path from her nostril, Aiden's eyes widened, trying to fight himself out of Ethan's grip at the sight of Lorelei slowly going pale, but it was no use. "Lor, stop." Aiden announced, his voice tired from the pain Cora brought him and the worry at the sight of Lorelei getting worse and worse.
Stiles, who could only see the back of Lorelei's head, walked around her so he could see her front. HIs eyes widened at the sight of blood coming down her second nostril.
With each second that passed, Lorelei's strength chipped away. The room spun around her, yet as hard as it was, her focus remained unbroken, her hands steady over Cora's healing body.
Stiles knelt down beside Lorelei as Ethan dragged Aiden out of the locker room. Aiden's eyes didn't leave the sight of Lorelei as he was pulled completely out of the room. Stiles grasped Lorelei's shoulders carefully and pulled her away from Cora.
Lorelei, with no strength left in her, fell into Stiles's arms. Stiles looked down at her and sacrificed his own sleeve of his flannel to wipe to blood from her nose. "You okay?" He asked quietly as Scott helped Cora, who was feeling a lot better with the help of Lorelei, sit up.
Scott looked back at Stiles and Lorelei and shook his head. "She doesn't look okay." Scott muttered, but because of how close they were sitting, everyone could hear him. Stiles scoffed at Scott's comment, nodding his head to Cora. "Yeah, neither of them do." He snarked back, earning a groan of pain and complaint from Lorelei.
"I'll heal." Lorelei said, her words barely making since to Scott and Stiles from how quiet she was and how jumbled her words were. Scott pressed his hand to Cora's back to make sure she was okay sitting up and the girl scoffed, whacking his hand away. "I'm fine." She snapped, moving to stand up.
Lorelei wanted to yell at the girl for being so rude after she just helped her with most of the pain she was feeling. She didn't even get a thank you. Stiles seemed just as upset as her as he yelled at her retreating figure. "Do you realize how suicidally crazy that was? What were you thinking going after them?"
Cora's step froze and she spun around to face Stiles. "I did it for Boyd! None of you were doing anything!" Cora yelled, taking Stiles aback. Her gaze shifted to Lorelei, anger still evident in her face as she scoffed. "And I didn't ask you to heal me." Cora seethed.
Lorelei squinted at the girl, her pain no longer the first thought on her mind as she pushed herself up out of Stiles's grasp just a little. "Yeah, but a fucking thank you would be nice anyway." Lorelei snapped back.
"And we're trying by the way." Stiles added, going back to Cora's first comment. Cora raised her eyebrows in annoyance. "And you're failing. You're just a bunch of stupid teenagers running around, thinking that you can stop people from getting killed. But all you do is show up late. All you really do is find the bodies." Cora snapped. Without saying another word, she walked out of the locker room, leaving Scott, Stiles, and Lorelei alone.
It was quiet between the three for a couple seconds before Stiles sighed. "I'll make sure she gets home." He muttered. Scott slowly got up and stood in front of Lorelei and held his hands out to help her up. Lorelei gave him a small smile and laced her hands into his.
Scott watched Lorelei closely as Stiles stood up after her. "You need a ride to the hospital?" He asked. It probably wasn't smart of him to ask that considering all he had was his motorcycle, but he figured she probably wouldn't want to be in a car with Cora, even if it was just for a few minutes.
Lorelei huffed, everything spinning as she tried to regain strength. "Yeah, but I have to be back at school by 6. I have the recital tonight." Lorelei muttered. She wished she didn't have to go to the recital anymore considering this new, definitely bad injury, but performing in this recital was worth half of her grade. She had to perform in it.
At the same time, Scott and Stiles turned to each other, both of their eyes wide. "Shit." Stiles muttered, he and Scott both forgetting about Lorelei's recital and how they told her they would go and watch for her.
Lorelei watched the two back and forth with softer eyes, worsening her headache from looking back and forth between the two, but she didn't even care in that moment. "You guys don't have to come if you can't. Lydia, Isaac, and Allison said they'd come, so at least I'd have someone in the audience."
Hearing and smelling the sadness radiating off of her, Scott whipped his head to her and shook it crazily. "No, no. We're coming. Definitely." Scott reassured. A small, happy smile took of Lorelei's face. Her eyes closed with her smile, making her lose her balance. She stumbled, making Scott and Stiles gasp.
Before she could fall down on her ass, Scott caught her, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her into his side. Scott sighed, glad he was able to catch her. He looked down at Lorelei and slowly started to walk. "Let's get you to the hospital."
...
After getting checked up on by Melissa, Lorelei was shocked to find out that she didn't have a concussion. The woman did give her pain meds and let her rest in one of the open hospital rooms until she had to go back to school for the recital though, which she was very grateful for.
Now, Lorelei stood at the wings of the stage , waiting for the recital to start. Lorelei was the first performance of the night and surprisingly, she wasn't nervous.
She peaked her head out of the wings.and looked into the audience, something she wasn't supposed to do. She smiled when she saw Lydia, Stiles, and Scott walking in to the auditorium and joining Allison, Isaac, and Argent in the back.
Lorelei's dad couldn't make it to the performance, he was stuck at work, but from the countless times she has rehearsed in front of him and Isaac while at home, she was sure that he got the most of it.
Lorelei continued to look around the audience, her eyes bouncing over the sea of chairs. She froze when her eyes landing on Ethan and Aiden sitting right smack in the center of the auditorium. Feeling eyes on him, Aiden turned his head and locked eyes with the blonde. He smiled at her with a cheesy smile and a thumbs up, making her giggle.
"Look at our boyfriends supporting us."
Lorelei whipped around at the voice behind her and was taken aback to see Danny standing just behind her, smiling at Ethan beside Aiden. Lorelei looked back and forth between Danny and the twins before she kept her eyes settled Danny as she shook her head. "Oh, we're not..."
Danny's eyebrows raised in amusement. He leaned off to the side and looked at Aiden from over Lorelei's shoulder. He smirked and turned back to Lorelei, shrugging his shoulders cooly. "Looks like he wants to be."
Before letting Lorelei say anything else, all the lights in the auditorium dimmed, signaling that the recital was about to start. Danny, still smirking, turned and walked away leaving Lorelei to watch the boy go, opening and closing her mouth in shock.
The music teacher walked on to the stage, thanked the audience for coming and introduced Lorelei onto the stage.
The piano Lorelei would be using was already on stage since multiple acts would be using the piano. As Lorelei walked onto stage, she could instantly hear Isaac and Stiles screaming for her and Lydia shushing them aggressively.
Lorelei tried to hold back a smile at her friends antics as she sat down at the piano. The audience quieted down as Lorelei rested her fingers on the starting keys, waiting for her to start. Lorelei was the only solo act of the night, so everyone was ready to hear her play.
Lorelei stared down at the piano and took in a deep breath to calm her nerves. Once she gave herself a couple beats to breathe she began to play.
The audience became immediately entranced by Lorelei's playing, but she paid no mind to them. All that was on her mind was her piece. She had practiced it nonstop, leaving her with hardly any sleep for the last couple days with rehearsing, school work, and the alpha pack they're up against, but somehow here she was.
She wasn't even paying attention to the keys she hit, it was like muscle memory. Soon, she was done with her piece. Lorelei stayed where she was, facing the piano while her fingers still rested gently on the keys.
It was quiet in the audience before loud claps and hollers echoed through the auditorium. Lorelei turned her head, her eyes wide at the standing ovation she received. Her eyes went to her friends in the back of the room first; Allison, Scott, and Lydia clapping for her while Stiles jumped up and down in excitement and Isaac screamed.
Lorelei laughed at her friends, her cheeks flushing. She looked closer into the audience where her eyes locked with Aiden. The boy had a big smile on his face, he and his brother standing and clapping for her. When their eyes locked, Aiden's smile only got wider and his claps became louder.
Lorelei's cheeks somehow got even more red as she stood up from the piano bench and walked to the edge of the stage. Every step she took, she fought hard to hold back her big grin, but as soon as she got to the foot of the stage and bowed, Lorelei let her smile free. With the audience sowing her all this love and almost all of the important people in her life their to support her, she couldn't control it. She adored performing.
Lorelei walked off the stage, still a blushing and smiling mess. She was immediately congratulated by Danny, who enveloped her in a big hug as he whispered how well she did. Their moment was cut short since Danny was up next with his class, but Lorelei appreciated the gesture anyway.
As she watched the band class walk onto the stage with all of their instruments, she felt her phone beep from her dress pocket. She pulled her phone out and read the newest texts she received from Isaac.
Need to see you right now!
Life or death! Meet in Ms. Blake's room!
Lorelei's eyebrows furrowed. She had just seen Isaac and he didn't seem stressed or nervous. What could've happened in the short few minutes.
Nonetheless, Lorelei used the exit backstage to go outside and head towards Ms. Blake's room to meet with Isaac. As she walked down the hallways, she felt a cold chill go down her spine. She hated being at the school at night. Especially when there was no one else there.
Like right now.
Lorelei slowly walked into Ms. Blake's room. She looked around and gulped. Isaac was no where in sight.
She walked further in, towards Ms. Blake's desk. Lorelei's eyes fell down to the necklace rested right on the center of the desk and her brows furrowed. She gently picked the jewelry up and squinted at the pendent dangling from it: a sword with fire blazing from the edge of it.
Lorelei knew this sign. She'd seen it countless of times, but she couldn't remember from where. A bad feeling started to settle in her gut and a faint voice whispered in the back of her mind.
"Run."
Lorelei's heart was just about to beat out of her chest at the warning. Just as she was about to put the necklace back down and run out of the room, a voice from behind her spoke up.
"You recognize it, don't you?"
Lorelei recognized the voice of Ms. Blake, but still jumped in surprise. She turned around to face the teacher, dropping the necklace in the process. The woman was a mere foot away from her, an evil smirk on her face. She tiled her head condescendingly.
"It's the season of the witch, Miss Addams. Didn't your daddy ever teach you to watch out for Darachs?" Ms. Blake asked.
Lorelei's eyes widened, finally realized why the Darach's voice sounded so familiar when she was attacked at the Motel.
Ms. Blake was the Darach.
Before Lorelei could do anything; cast a spell, fight, run away hell even scream, Ms. Blake brought her hand up to Lorelei's neck and stabbed a syringe into her.
Lorelei screamed in pain as she felt the substance enter her body and herself become weaker. When the woman pulled the syringe out and away from Lorelei, the blonde huffed.
It was mistletoe.
It all happened so fast. Lorelei started to feel lightheaded and her eyelids started to grow heavy. Before she knew it, she started to lose feeling in her legs and she started to fall forward.
...
Lorelei's eyes shot up and she gasped awake from her black out.
She was still in Ms. Blake's classroom only now she was tied to one of the seats that had been moved from the front row and now sat beside Ms. Blake's desk.
Lorelei looked to her left, hearing shuffling beside her and noticed Ms. Blake putting away the bottle of smelling salts that woke Lorelei up.
"Why are you dong this?" Lorelei whispered. She could faintly hear her teacher chuckle before she turned around to face her, a small smile on her face.
"Now, Lorelei... You must know that Darach feed on witches. It's necessary. I'm still surprised none of you seem to get that. Or at least try to protect you..." The woman hummed, walking around Lorelei to get behind her.
Despite already being tied up, Ms. Blake wanted to make sure their was no way of Lorelei breaking free. She had already tightened the ties on the girls ankles and now started tightening the rope tied around Lorelei's chest.
Lorelei grunted in pain, the rope forcing the air out of her lungs from its tight hold on her. She coughed, and looked up at her teacher with tears in her eyes. "Please stop." Lorelei whispered weakly, her voice labored from the lack of air she was getting.
Ms. Blake gave Lorelei a fake frown and cupped her cheek, almost as if to taunt her. "Oh, I wish I could. But I need your power to kill these alphas." She said, tightening the wraps around Lorelei's wrists.
Lorelei yelped in pain at the rope burn rubbing against her skin and her wrist digging into the armrest of the desk. The tears in Lorelei's eyes slipped and Ms. Blake chuckled, moving to walk behind her again. "Oh, my job will be so much easier with a witch gone from the game." Ms. Blake whispered as Lorelei heard her grab something from behind her.
Ms. Blake grabbed a handful of Lorelei's hair and yanked it back, forcing Lorelei look up to the ceiling. Lorelei started to cry when she felt a cold sharp object touch the side of her neck. She tried to free herself from the restraints without accidentally cutting herself on the object against her throat, but it was no use. The mistletoe in her system not only taking away her powers, but weakening the human side of her too.
Lorelei felt a small pinch and immediate burn at the spot where the sharp blade sat at her neck and Lorelei screamed once she realized the woman had pushed the edge of the blade into her neck. It wasn't enough to truly harm her, but with the fear and adrenaline she was feeling, Lorelei felt like she was dying already.
It was like Lorelei's screams set off an alarm for every wolf in her vicinity. Even though she couldn't physically use her powers, her voice made sure to reach Scott, Isaac, Ethan, and Aiden's ears with an ear piercing ring.
Aiden didn't waste a second shooting out of his seat in the auditorium at the sound of Lorelei's scream. Despite it only being a horrible ringing noise for wolves, Aiden knew it was Lorelei.
Scott and Isaac, who stood outside of the auditorium with Lydia and Stiles to look for Lorelei, winced in pain, both of their hand racing to cover their eyes. Stiles looked at the two boys with wide eyes while Lydia felt a pit grow in her stomach.
Her breathing became sporadic and mind raced with Lorelei. The pit started to sprout from her stomach up into her throat until all she could do was scream.
Lydia's wail made Ms. Blake groan in pain, dropping the blade from Lorelei's neck. Lorelei groaned at the wail, trying to cover her ears with her shoulders since her hands were tied down, but she failed.
A few seconds after the scream ended, Ms. Blake stared at the door to her classroom with wide eyes. "A banshee..." She whispered under her breath, but since Lorelei was seated directly in front of her, Lorelei heard the woman's words.
Lorelei screamed to catch her breath, her own scream making her throat raw. The teacher looked down at Lorelei because of her loud breathing and remembered her original plan.
Ms. Blake bent down and grabbed the blade off the floor. Lorelei held back a cry when she noticed this, shaking her head crazily.
"No, please no." Lorelei cried, but the woman didn't listen, pulling her hair back again to make her neck more visible. Lorelei sobbed at the action and closed her eyes when she felt the blade graze her neck again.
"Drop it!" A voice scream and Lorelei gasped, her eyes shooting open. She let out a relieved breath at the sight of Sheriff Stilinksi walking into the classroom, a gun in hand pointed right at Ms. Blake.
As the Sheriff walked towards Lorelei and Ms. Blake, the teacher removed the blade from Loreleis neck and threw it, hitting the Sheriff in the shoulder.
Stilinksi screamed in pain, dropping the gun and holding his shoulder. Not even seconds later, Scott, Isaac and Aiden came running in, fangs and claws out. Lorelei's eyes widened at the three wolves coming straight at her while Ms. Blake stepped in front of Lorelei, her hand out and her palm glowing a grayish-white that immediately made Scott, Isaac and Aiden collapse to the ground, groaning in pain.
Lorelei gasped, her eyes following the three as they fell to the floor. Ms. Blake chuckled at the chaos she has created and walked towards the Sheriff, walking past Lorelei and stepping over the werewolves in the process.
Lorelei could see the Sheriff talking to Ms. Blake, but Lorelei couldn't hear it because of the pain in her neck distracting her. Ms. Blake walked closer and closer to the Sheriff, the man taking a step back every time she comes closer.
Suddenly, Ms. Blake turns into her Darach form, her skin pale and shiny white and covered in burns. She wrapped her arms around the Sheriff as Stiles and Lydia ran in. Lorelei turned her head to the sound of Lydia and Stiles, distracting her from the Darach and the Sheriff.
Glass shattering made Lorelei look away from Stiles and Lydia and back to where the Darach and Sheriff were.
Or at least where they once were.
The glass the Sheriff Stilinski was standing in front of was now shattered, both him and the Darach gone. Stiles and Lydia ran up to the window, the glass shards under their feet crunching as their steps slowed.
"Dad?" Stiles called out as Scott, Isaac and Aiden started to get up, slowly getting strength again after Ms. Blake spelled them. Scott walked towards Stiles and Lydia to comfort Stiles while Aiden and Isaac practically ran to Lorelei.
The blonde girl had a small trickle of blood trailing down her neck and tears streaming down her face, her makeup for the recital now ruined. Her wrists and ankles were bruised and red from the tight ropes she was tied up in and her breathing was still shaking from how tied the rope was around her chest.
"Are you okay?" Isaac asked panicked. He and Aiden didn't even try untying the ropes, instead cutting them off with their claws completely to make Loreleis freedom come faster.
Once Lorelei was free and still hadn't answered, Aiden gently cupped her face and had her turn to face him. "Lor, are you okay?" He asked as the veins in his hands slowly started to turn black, taking her pain.
Starting to finally get air in her lungs and the pain in her neck relieving, Lorelei gave the boys a weak nod, her eyes still glossy from the moments she just endured.
Isaac and Aiden let out a breaths of relief. Aiden, not thinking on the action before doing it, brought her face closer to his and pressing his lips to her forehead. His lips stayed planted on her forehead for a solid three seconds before he removed them and let out another relieved breath.
Isaac flattened the hairs on Lorelei's head that got tangled from trying to break free from her restraints and shook his head with a small smile, hoping it would make her feel better. "You're okay."
