"Congratulations students! All of you have passed the selection process for having exemplary grades and good school ethic. Each of you will be assigned to a mentee to guide and assist for school, you can go meet them now. Names will be posted on the board outside the classroom, the students are next door for you guys to meet. Good luck students," the teacher said then went to the parents who came with their child.

"I'm assigned to... Yang Jeongin, he's only a year younger than me," Seoyun said to herself when she looked at the name listings. She went into the rooms with the other students to look for Yang Jeongin.

"Where is Yang Jeongin?" Seoyun asked around the classroom, the students pointed to the boy who resembled a desert fox. "Yang Jeongin?" She asked him, he smiled widely when their eyes met.

"Are you Park Seoyun?" He asked her, his eyes shining brightly. She nodded her head, "and you must be Jeongin," she said.

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you," he said with a smile and stood up to meet her halfway of the room.

"Same here, do you want to sit down and talk for a little bit?" She asked him, he nodded and sat down on an empty chair and she sat next to him. "So you're struggling, huh," she began the conversation. "Oh gosh I sounded like a teacher, my bad," she said and he laughed.

"Here's the thing, I'm not a dumb kid, I'm just lazier than the average student," Jeongin defended himself.

"I get it, I'm not the proudest at my work ethic too," she said.

"I get super busy on Tuesdays and Thursdays, is it okay if we meet on days between those," he said.

"Yeah, that's fine, what subjects to do you struggle with the most?" She asked. Their conversation kept on for about an hour longer before she got a text, they mostly asked questions to get to know each other better and break the ice.

"Okay meet me in the public library tomorrow, just text me when you get there, I'll see you then," Seoyun said then stood up to leave.

"Okay bye Seoyun," he waved then went to his friends.

To Hyunjin 황
you near?

"You literally just got out, can you be a little more patient," he said as he walked up from behind her to her side.

"Did you wait long?" She asked him indifferently as she looked through her bag to check all here necessities were there.

"I don't think you care whether I waited for 5 minutes or 5 years, so why ask anyways," he said, the sass evident.

"I just wanted to hear your voice," she nonchalantly flirted by accident while she did something on her phone.

"Are you confessing to me? I'm sorry but I politely decline," Hyunjin said jokingly.

"Why not? We'd be pretty together and I'm smart enough for the both of us," she said.

"You basically called me stupid," Hyunjin pouted.

"What! No! I would never," she said sarcastically, her voice raising an octave to make it obvious.

"You could barely say a word when we first met and now you have the nerve to call me stupid? Wow, that's really amazing," he said as he swung his arm around her and put her in a chokehold.

"You barely talked too," she said then tickled his sides to free herself from his grasp.

"When did you two get so close?" Seungmin asked from an intersecting corner of the street in front of the cafe they were all supposed to meet at.

"Since the first day of school, I think, right," Seoyun answered and they both separated.

"Yeah, I think so too," Hyunjin agreed.

"After a month of knowing each other you guys have finally become close, I'm proud of you guys," he said, running to them with wide arms to give them a hug and stood between them.

"So how was the orientation?" Hyunjin asked.

"It went great, my kid is so cute and sweet like a giant baby! I'm excited to be his mentor," Seoyun said eagerly.

"Who is he? I might know him," Seungmin said.

"Yang Jeongin, he's a year younger than us," she answered.

"Be careful, boys like older women these days, just ask Jisung, he knows a lot about that," Hyunjin said.

"Don't be jealous if it happens," she teased and took a seat in the cafe.

"The chances of that happening is low to none,"  Hyunjin said.

"So there may be a small chance?" She said leaning towards his direction.

"Get away from me loser," Hyunjin pushed her back to her seat.

"Oh right. You're in love with Jisung, I never stood a chance," she acted distressed. "Will you  give me a chance, Seungmin?" She asked jokingly.

"Okay, calm down before I stop being your friend," Seungmin said then took another sip of his coffee.

"Okay, I'm sorry," she sat back on her chair, more behaved.

"Jisung and Felix are on their way here, let me just order the drinks," Seoyun said then stood up to buy their food.

"Is it just me or does she look like Sua," Seungmin said as he watched Seoyun pay for their food.

"They do look alike but Sua could never be like her," Hyunjin responded.

"I hope she doesn't end up like Sua," Seungmin said, there was worry in his voice.

"She won't, I'll make sure of it if I need to," Hyunjin said.

Meanwhile

"Hi, can I order 2 Americanos, 2 lattes, and a caramel macchiato," she ordered.

"Coming right out," he smiled then started to make their drinks. "Are you a high school student?" He asked to make conversation while she waited.

"Yeah, we are. Is it that obvious?" She continued, her voice gentle.

"No, I saw your id. I used to go to that high school too, just graduated last year actually," he said.

"This year is my last year, was it as hard as the teachers make it seem," she said, slowly getting more comfortable with the worker.

"They always make it seem like a bigger deal than it actually is," he said, he looked up from making coffee to give her a reassuring smile.

"If it's okay to ask, are you going to school right now?" She asked curiously, leaning on the edge of the table.

"I am, my university is just nearby. I'm a music major," he told her. She simply nodded her head, wanting to ask more questions but wasn't sure if she could. "You look perplexed, you can ask more if you want. Talking to you is more fun than making coffee in silence," he said.

"Were you nervous? I mean it is your first year and music isn't really something most people go for since parents don't usually support it, so basically, what made you go for it," she asked.

He laughed at her softly before answering, "trust me when I say this, it was an easy decision but hard to accept. I believed in myself enough that I made everyone else around me believe in me too, that's how I did it," he said as he finished up on the last details of their drinks.

"That's refreshing to hear... Changbin, thanks for talking to me while I waited," she said, taking a short pause to look at his nametag. "I'm Seoyun, by the way" she said.

"Nice to meet you Seoyun, and here's your coffee. Be sure to come back next time for more coffee," he said as he handed her a tray of their coffee. She brought them back to their table while Seungmin and Hyunjin talked about nothing.

"Jisung said they're on this street already, they're walking right now," Hyunjin said as he pulled her seat for her.

"Just in time, I see them from a distance," Seungmin said, his cheeks twitching to smile as he caught sight of his friends.

"Did you guys order already?" Felix asked them as he took a seat next to Seoyun.

"I got us coffee, did you guys want something to eat?" Seoyun said.

Jisung shook his head, "no, we'll get something to eat later," he said.

"So how was the orientation today?" Felix asked.

"Fun, I really like the kid I'm going tutor," she said. "Hyunjin is in love with Jisung and won't date me because of it," she said with a smirk as she looked at Hyunjin for his reaction.

"Well, she called me stupid!" He argued like a child.

"I did not! I only implied it," she childishly said.

"So, you're not in love with me? I'm hurt," Jisung said then grabbed his chest dramatically, and with that comment, they all laughed.

Everything was great and beautiful, truly beautiful.
