We would like to offer up a

to all our members who have made it to this final competition of the year!!

We want to invite all of our Pub Members to join in on this contest by reading and leaving comments, that is your way of letting us know which poems you like best. 

We also suggest that all those eligible for the Poet of the Year contest, contact their followers and have them check out the contest as well.

Our judges do take into consideration the number of votes a poem gets, the number of comments received and answered.

The final list of the poets who have qualified for the 2018 Poet of the Year contest is below. 

The number next to the Pubber's name, is the number of contests that person has won (first place or overall winner) throughout the year. It also allows affords them more entries for this contest.   (Those poets marked with and * are eligible to enter but will not be eligible for the poet of the year.)

The Poet of the Year Competition will be a 4-week contest starting on November 28th and ending on December 22nd.

Rules for this contest as as follows:

1. Only Pubbers on the above list are eligible for this contest.

2. This is a four week contest - November 28th through December 22.

3. The number next to your name dictates the number of entries you are allowed each week.

4. Each week will be open for entries for seven days only. No winners will be announced until the end of the competition.

5. All Poems for the final competition MUST be ORIGINAL poems, written by the Poet and written specifically for this competition, and must be in English.

If written by a second party or previously published, the Poems will be rejected, and as such, the Poet will not be able to fulfil the criteria for the competition and will be eliminated from competition.

6. All competing Poets MUST RESPOND TO ALL COMMENTS made on their poems INDIVIDUALLY. There will be a 3 day grace period after the end of the competition to allow poets to respond to all of their comments.

Comments that are simply emojis, do not count as a comment and we will not penalize if you do not respond.

Our judges do take this into account, so please, do not let a missed response lose you the competition.
