Author's note at the end... please read.💟

After the incident in the kitchen, I took what was left of my dignity to my room. I just peeled off my sticky clothes and entered the bathroom for a shower.

My dignity ended right on the kitchen floor, never again shall I attempt to make pancakes.

When I was done with my shower, I just put on my PJ because I knew I would not be stepping out of the house today. Especially not when Ash and Jason are suddenly 'team evil twins' against Mia.

Poor me.

I was still on my bed thinking and lamenting when Ash entered the room.

"What are you doing here?" I asked scowling at her.
"I'm in my best friend's room, where I will be staying until I leave." She said trying to stifle a laugh.

She knew I was royally pissed off because of what happened in the kitchen.

"I think you missed your way, your 'best friend' room is the one opposite this one," I said putting air quotes on the best friend.

"Mia are you mad at me?" She asked smiling innocently.

Her innocent smile doesn't complement her devilish plans.

"Of course not....how can I be?" I responded sarcastically as I batted my eyelashes.

She just looked at me expectantly waiting for me to start my rant. I didn't disappoint her as my anger blew over the top soon.

"Why does it have to be me that's always the object of the joke?. I don't even know what I did to you both. You and Jason suddenly became inseparable, and you both decided to become team evil twins. You just started tormenting me." I said as I screamed in frustration.

"Team evil twins?" Ash said bellowing with laughter.

"Don't you dare laugh 'cause I'm not in the mood," I said giving her a nasty glare.

That shut her up immediately as she noticed that I was really mad.

"M... Don't take such things personally. It was just a harmless joke." She said holding my hands soothingly.
"It's harmless because it's not your picture that was taken on the freaking kitchen floor. I'm going to be scarred for life." I said while groaning in frustration.
"If it was me on the kitchen floor....what would you have done?" She asked me smiling knowingly.

I didn't even think about it. I replied straight from my heart.

"I would have taken the picture while laughing hysterically. I mean you don't see such things every day. I would print the picture....the fu*k I would even frame it. I'll hang it up in my bedroom to remind you of that precious moment every time you come to visit." I finished smiling dreamily.

Ashley's loud laughter brought me out of my dreamland.

"You're even more evil than me.....I just took a picture and you are sulking. See all the dark thoughts you have on your mind." She said laughing even harder as my face reddened in embarrassment realizing what I said.

"I didn't really mean it," I said making a feeble attempt to convince Ashley.

"I'm sure you did Mia. Jason and I need to step up our game plan." She said ruffling my hair as she went into the bathroom.

Why do I feel goosebumps crawl up my arms?

Ash finished having her bath and making herself look presentable before she came.

"So I decided to stop being childish by getting angry over a harmless prank. My best friend coming over for a visit is the best thing that happened." I said before engulfing Ash into a hug.
She hugged me back before we released each other and settled in the bed.

"So Ash how is grandpa doing?......'cause since I came here that crafty old man refused to pick up my calls," I said asking her curiously.

"Grandpa is fine besides he paid for half of my ticket. Maybe the reason he isn't picking is that he knows you may try to keep convincing him of coming home." She finished while wriggling her eyebrows at me.

"Of course not!, I don't want to go home," I said in horror.

"My ship already started sailing," Ash said having that creepy smile on her face.

"No ship is sailing Ash. What I meant is that I already started this so there's is no going back.
Winners are no quitters."

"Keep denying. I'm still going to tell you I told you so on your wedding day." She said smirking as she wriggled her brows.

"Ash!!" I said while glaring at her to show my displeasure.

Ash being Ash totally ignored me and continued.
"So what would you like your ship name to be?"
"Ash stop saying that or I'm going to punch you."

She still ignored me and kept talking.

"Would you like Mison." She said nudging me playfully.

I ignored her and intensified my gaze at her.

"Oh....you don't like that one. How about Jasia or........"
I didn't let her complete her statement before I lunged at her.

She squealed in surprise as we both rolled on the floor. I yanked her hair playfully and also pinched her cheek.
Ashley got an upper hand and rolled over me, thereby making her be sitting on my stomach.
I used my free hand that wasn't holding her hair to tickle Ash.
This made gain an advantage as I rolled her over and took her former position. We were in this position when Jason entered.

"I come bearing my awesome personality, pizza, popcorn, and movies." He said while entering the room oblivious of me and Ash position.

When he finally noticed us, he paused looking very shocked before a smirk took over his lips.

"I didn't know you swing for the other side Mia. I also didn't know you love Christian Grey's kinky way." He said barely stifling a laugh.

I knew he was kidding but that doesn't stop me from wanting to shoot him.

"Shut up you moron. You know based on how I feel about you now. If I am put in a room right now with the most poisonous snake, Osama Bin Laden and you; and I am given two bullets to shoot two out of three. Do you know what I do?" I asked him with a sickly sweet smile.

"Nope."
"I will shoot you with the two bullets gladly," I said while smirking.

"I can feel the love," Jason commented dryly.
"That's how we roll."

Jason and I kept glaring at each other until Ash interrupted.

"As much as I love this your love-hate relationship drama, Mia you're squashing me and I can't breathe." She said gasping for breath.

I hurriedly stood up 'cause I didn't want Ash to die before I get proper revenge.

"I'm not done with you. Just watch your back."

"Oh, no.......I'm soo scared." She said sarcastically.

Jason just watched our exchange with amused eyes.

"So which movie did you bring?" Ash asked plopping on the bed.

"Horror movies," Jason said with an evil glint in his eyes.

Ashley likes horror movies so does Jason. So it means I'm on a one-man squad.

"Why don't we watch it in the living room?" I asked trying to hide the fear in my voice.

I'm usually scared to watch horror movies but if I watch it in my room it is worse.
I start to imagine things that are not there. I wasn't really scared the other time because Jason was together with me.

" We're already in your room where there's television obviously. Why carry all our snacks downstairs again?" Jason asked raising his brows.

I hate to admit that he's right. So when Jason saw I didn't have a valid reason. He put in the movie. Ash sat beside me and Jason also sat beside me. In other words, I was in the middle.

"Mia stop squeezing my arm, you're going to cut my blood flow," Jason whined for the tenth time.

"Shut up and quit complaining. You brought the movie so you must bear the cost." I said squeezing his arm tighter as a monster grabbed a girl in the movie.

Jason was about to comment but Ash shot him a dirty stare.

We kept watching so many horror movies that we didn't even know when midnight came.
Jason even made some scary noises in my ear sometimes.

In the course of the movies both Ash and Jason had gone numerous times to get more snacks, so now it was my turn.

I walked downstairs and looked about cautiously.

I hurriedly grabbed the Oreo and the Twix candy bar but suddenly there was a power outage.

How that was possible...I don't even know.
I felt someone beside me but when I felt beside me no one was there.
It started to feel like those movies when the main character starts asking who was there.

"Is anyone there?"
I heard something like a footstep like a person was trying to change position.

"I know you're there.... come out already."

I suddenly felt a cold hand grab my wrist, I screamed in shock.

"Help!!!.... Oh my God, I'm going to die. I haven't even gotten married yet and had children. I'm sorry for thinking of pushing Ash down a bridge. God, please forgive me Incase I die." I rambled as tears flowed down my eyes.

This time the hand grabbed me tightly by my waist. I struggled to get free; when I finally got freed I started running.
Running in the dark isn't the wisest decision. I tripped and hit my head on the floor.

Suddenly I felt a flash on my face and almost immediately the light came on again.

Ashley and Jason I should have suspected.

"You should have seen your face," Ashley said bellowing with laughter.
"I haven't even gotten married," Jason said mimicking my voice.

I just stood up grudgingly.

"I hate you both." I spat as I went to my room.
            * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

I woke up really late the next morning because of my constant nightmare about horror movies.
I didn't even know if Ash slept here last night.
I just made my way downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning Mia." Ash greeted happily.
"I know it's morning but it sure as hell ain't a good one."

I just sat down and started eating my food ignoring Ash's pout.

I finished eating and dropped my plates in the dishwasher.

As I was about leaving the kitchen, Jason and Ashley cornered me.

"What?" I asked harshly.

"We just wanted to give you this." She smiled handing me an album.

I opened the album grudgingly and saw all the embarrassing pictures they took of me.
Then at the end of the pictures they wrote;
She's clumsy, scared of the dark but yet:

Suddenly tears welled in my eyes as I pulled them into a group hug.

"I'm sorry I was mad. I love you both." I said hugging them tighter.

They just groaned about lack of oxygen while I chuckled.

Friendship isn't a big thing. It's a million little things.
