My guest was a toss up between Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton as I admire both political candidate. Both strive for peace in the world and commercial growth to advance the US. They both would also make entertaining dinner party guest.

Great choice don't you think? I had both of theses guest on my list too!

Also, a great 'best movie choice'. I had to download it to watch it and now I've seen it, I'm excited to meet this guy.

Date Night - Thursday night

Thank goodness it my child free night.

Date Venue - Radio Cairo

This is an amazing restaurant. Quite relaxed and on my side of the bridge. North shore for the people that know crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a pain in the neck during the week, especially in peak hours.

Date Time - 7 pm

Plenty of time for me to go home and change. I'll Uber to the restaurant as parking can be hard unless you pay so similar pricing to my Uber costs anyway.

My Outfit - Smart (as in intelligent) casual

What to wear for an intelligent casual dinner date with a guy that works in Government and has a sense of humour - check out his movie choice peeps.

It's hilarious!

I chose my Sambag green tight cargo pants that have side zippers at the ankles, an off one shoulder silver blue linen top (it's a little bit see through so I make sure I wear my best fleshed coloured lace strapless bra, another purchase from my trip to Paris years ago) and my wedged blue strapped Husk shoes.

I match this with a plane silver bracelet and my Elsa Peretti mesh scarf earrings both from Tiffany & Co.

My ex had good taste in jewellery. Pity it was a distraction gift. One he bought for me while he was screwing his Personal Assistant behind my back.

Yep. Still so cliche don't you think?

Date Synopsis

Dinner was incredible. I've decided I love African food. The spices are perfectly balanced with flavour and heat, so they don't burn through your mouth and stomach like other spices.

For a Government employee, #governmentguy is entertaining. He's travelled the world on projects and has lived in the most amazing countries so far like Egypt, Philippines, China and Africa, being his most recent and favourite thus his choice of Restaurant.

I let him chose our menus after he's checked if I have any allergies or dislikes in food.

We share meat, chicken and vegetarian dishes - which are too hard to write about, so you have to trust me when I say.... yum!

And, of course we have local Sydney beers - Sydney Brewery Glamarama Summer Ales.

He shares stories and pictures saved on his phone from his travels, some of which could easily be published in National Geographic and as I stand up, I'm wobbly.

Clearly I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking beer so he suggest we go next door and dance it off!

Minsky's, a multilevel bar and night club which is a block away from our restaurant.

I hadn't been there for years. It's kind of an institution on the North Shore. You have to go there at least once in your life to understand the attraction and we settle in at the Piano bar singing along to old Billy Joel song - which I only knew one of, the Piano Man.

"Sing is a song Mr Piano Man, sing us a song tonight. As we're all in the mood for a melody and you've got us feeling alright."

Well this is what I sang so I'm hoping I got the lyrics right?

Date Rating - Entertaining

The food, company and actually whole night was definitely entertaining. He's interesting and fun to be with so.... did we kiss?

Yes.... we kissed. Lips moist and wanting more connection but....

Not a passionate kiss as my Uber was parked right outside when we went to leave.

I'm thinking I may need another date with #governmentguy to see if we have chemistry don't you think?

He's off the Canberra for the next two months so we decided to keep in contact to see when we can have another date.
