Rob has been trying to make it as obvious as possible to make him see that he loved you. The thing was, you were oblivious to the signs he was clearly throwing at you. You kept taking his I love you's in more of a friend type of way instead of a the romantic way he intended it to be. Rob planned a group date with you and his friends so they would be there to help him with finally conveying his feelings to you.

You sit down on the cold wooden bench and slide your feet into the ice skates. The other girls that were dates of Rob's friends sat with you.

"You're the luckiest one here," the blonde girl spoke, tying up the white laces. "Rob is so hot with his charming smile and gorgeous eyes."

All the pretty ladies began discussing their feelings they had for Rob. You internally roll your eyes at their comments. You've been friends with Rob long enough to know every side of him, but they were only mentioning his physical appearance. The women all froze and turned their heads toward you, asking for your opinion.

"Eh."

"I can't believe you said that." the brunette gasped in surprise. "He's your date and you don't even find him attractive."

"Well neither do any of you guys," you retort with an added eye roll. "you all are focusing on my date, did you forget who asked you?"

They all exchanged glances, sighing in defeat. You were right and that embarrassed a few of them. Once you finally finish putting on your ice skates, you and the rest of the girls make your way out to the rink. Rob was already out on the ice, chatting with his friends. He looked over his friends shoulder as he saw you skating your way up toward him.

"She's coming," rob said, taking a deep breath. "let's hope that this goes well."

"You ready to get owned in hockey?" you challenge, skating up toward your date. "I'm definitely ready to kick some butt."

Rob chortled in response and nodded, slapping his hand into yours that was stretched out for him. You feel the eyes of the other girls as you glide across the ice rink hand in hand with Rob. How could his friends like such shallow women like them? You liked Rob because of who he was, not because he was movie star handsome, which he was, but that was just a bonus.

The rest of the date consisted of lots of falling down and laughing. It ended with the women actually being invested with their dates instead of yours. It was fantastic. It was coming toward the end of the date and Rob pulled you aside from the group who were currently playing another round of hockey.

"[Y/N], I really need to tell you this," he insisted, firmly gripping onto your hands. You remain steady as he held your hands, piercing his ocean blue eyes into yours. "I love you [Y/N], and not in the way of friendship. I love you as in I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to be with you and call you mine. I love you [Y/N]."

You were speechless. His eyes searched yours as you stood there completely dumbfounded. He was being genuine, and you couldn't believe it. Rob's eyes fell slowly to the ground as you remained silent.

"You don't feel the same..." he muttered sadly. "I knew it."

"I never said I didn't." you finally choke out. Rob's eyes swung back up to meet with yours. "I do love you Rob. I do."

You pull Rob closer to you and collide your lips with his, a warm sensation overcoming your body as he deepened the kiss. He smiled through the kisses and so did you. The date couldn't have ended better.
