Ice Breaker

October 24, 2008 2:00 PM
Seven's Capital, Malison
--------------------------------------------------

▫️Aron

The air was cold, little flecks that seemed like snow flew through the air. The sky outside was dark and distant thunder was heard across the planet. It took me a moment to regain what had just happened. Whatever that bead was, it had made my sister disappear. Seven was five feet from me, his eyes seemed dark as he looked around to realize Zavier was gone as well. I felt the wind through the windows, it was cold and fast, making both of our blond hair blow across our foreheads.

"You," Seven snaps as he looks to me. "You ruined everything."

"Where is my sister!" I demand, quickly standing to my feet and drawing my sword so the tip in less than an inch from his neck.

"I don't know," Seven says calmly.

"WHERE IS SHE!" I yell.

"I already said that I don't know," Seven explains. "That vortex sent them somewhere I do not know the destination of. But it doesn't matter, my bomb will kill us all in a few moments anyways."

Oh right, that bomb... "Shut it off," I demand. I pull Seven to his feet and slam him against the wall with my sword aimed to kill at the back of his throat. "Cancel the bomb!"

"I cannot stop it!" Seven says. "Say goodbye to Malison and all your stupid friends."

I yell in frustration and throw him to the ground, which was a mistake. He kicked my leg sending me back onto the ground. My head hit the marble, causing an instant headache. I groan as I sit up to see Seven with an arm stretched out as he knelt on the ground, in his hands a silver blade.

"Up on your feet. Fight me like a man." Seven demands as he rose onto his own feet. His blue eyes were like daggers as they glared into me.

I rose onto my feet and grip my blade with two hands, ready to take him. He is smaller, therefore quicker than I am, so he hits me first. Our blades slide together and I quickly throw him off me. He may be faster, he may have more experience with a sword, but I am way stronger than he is.

"Wherever your sister is, I hope she is dead." Seven launches another rounds of attack at me, which I easily defend his light blows. Sparks fall from out blades as they snap together quickly, Seven drives me back, I can tell he is trying to get me into the corner.

"Shut up, just surrender! You know you have already lost! We have killed all of your army. YOU ARE DONE!" I yell as I dart to one side to get away from the corner. Seven grabs a knife from his belt and throws it at me. I feel myself get jerk back, his knife has caught my sleeve.

"I will never surrender." Seven walks towards me. "You may have won the battle, but I will win the war."

"You will never win." I snap as I try to pry the knife from between the stones. That knife throw was the perfect shot, wedging right between the rocks on my strong side, so my weaker left hand would have to be used to remove the knife. "You are a monster."

Seven's eyes flashed as he stopped in his step. He looked at the marble ground at his feet. "So thats what you really think of me," he sighs. I watch him as he lowers his sword, the blade now aimed at the ground. "I wish my brothers didn't brainwash your generation into thinking that way." He pressed a button on his hilt. I watched as the blade collapsed onto the ground in a million pieces. Then he raises the hilt, with that the little blade pieces rise as well. I recognize that weapon, a unique weapon that only Seven possessed: The Whip Blade.

"Thats—" I begin to say, my face probably whitened as I stared at the legendary weapon.

"Yeah it is. Pretty sweet right?" Seven smiled at his blade. "I am stronger then you will ever be Aron Aris. You may think you can win my strength alone, but you don't know that this game of war is also a game of intellect. I will always outsmart you." He walked over to the window. "I designed this building for a perfect escape, did you really thing I wouldn't have a backup plan? You are young and foolish Aron. But don't worry, when I find your sister I will make sure she dies a painful death, one that will surely break her heart."

"NO!!" I yell and finally muster up the courage to pull the blade from the wall. Seven is already on the windowsill looking up at the roof, his whip hung outside the window and down the building like rope, lightning cracked throughout the sky, lighting up Seven's pale face. With one swift move he cracks his whip up, the rope doesn't come back down. He is planning on climbing to the top... I have to stop him.

I rush to the window just as he starts climbing, making sure to take the rope with him so I can't follow. He is smart, I'll give him that. I look down at the throwing knife and my own sword, then back up at the building. It is about a fifteen foot climb up the building until I could reach the triangle slant of the roof, which formed into a peak, extending out of the peak was a single rod. It wasn't that far of a distance, I could climb it... I had to climb it.

I stabbed the small knife into the jagged brick, obviously Seven had planned to climb this if needed, so there was lots of footholds. I put my longsword onto my belt and used my other hand to try and hand onto the brick and pull myself up the wall. Seven wasn't very far along up the wall, he was weaker than I was, so he took longer to pull himself up.

I climbed as quickly as I could, but it was hard with the wind and storm, not to mention to fear of the fall. I breathed heavily and continued to climb on, I had never been up this high before. Finally I reached the top, where I could at least stand up a bit, Seven had already reached there and run ahead to the pole in the center where all 4 triangles formed a peak.

"Seven listen!" I yell as I pull myself onto the roof. "Surrender now and no harm will come to you, stop the bomb, bring my sister back and I won't kill you."

The wind howled against us, causing my hair to blow to one side as I made my way up the roof after him.

"I have unleashed the greatest bomb of all bombs," Seven says. "There is no stopping it, and you sister is hopefully dead." He hung onto the pole to keep his balance agains the wind. On top of the pole was another Vortexer, the color of this one was purple and white.

The shingles on the roof were blown away from the wind and I watched them fall off the roof and down off the building, I stab my knife into the rooftop to stay on the roof and slowly make my way to Seven. "All is lost if you don't stop the bomb! Everyone on Malison will die!"

"Everyone on Malison made their choice when they choose my brothers." Seven examined the Vortexer. "Have fun dying, say hi to your sister when you are both burning in the underworld" He snaps at me, then crushes the small ball in his hands.

If I have any chance of finding my sister... I need to act now. I let go of my knife and drop my sword and just run at Seven, the wind pushes against me but I am determined to reach him. I jump just as he starts to release his grip on the Vortexer, and I see the same white blinding light.

Next thing I know... I am not on Malison Anymore.
