"It wasn't like that at all," Rin mumbled, his head hung low. Despite his protests and earnest effort to explain to Mey-Rin the situation, it didn't seem as though she believed him. 

Currently, Rin and the other servants were standing side by side as Ciel approached. 

Ciel stopped and said, "I'm having guests over today. That means you all have to be on your best behavior. I expect you'll be able to keep the other three in line tonight, alright?" Ciel asked, glancing up at Rin.

Snapping out of his disappointed mood Rin piped up, "Yes Chibi, consider it done!"

"Good," Ciel said, "These guests are important and their satisfaction with tonight's events is top priority. Only the best can be expected from all of you."

A collective, "Yes sir!" rang out as all the servants gave a small salute. 

Ciel then walked off with Sebastian by his side who was giving him quick information involving   the guests who were arriving.

Rin watched them go and then cracked his knuckles, "Okay, time to get busy!" He declared before rushing to the kitchen.

"Alright you guys, watch the master!" Rin shouted once in the kitchen. On the stove were different dishes and Rin was alternating between each, seasoning and flipping with ease.

"Ooh! Aaah!" Mey-Rin, Bardroy and Finny all said at once. Their eyes were glittering at the display of skill.

"You're as good as Sebastian!" Finny declared.

"I never seen anyone else do it like that!" Mey-Rin commented.

Rin chuckled, throwing a skillet full of food into the air and swiftly catching it all on a plate.

"Ta da!"

The three immediately began clapping.

"Amazin'!" Bardroy shouted.

"You all thought I could only make sweets didn't you? Well, I'm so cool I can cook anything," Rin boasted.

"Master Rin, The young master would like something sweet," Sebastian said, entering the kitchen for a brief moment before leaving again.

Rin's face fell and he grumbled, "I can cook anything, but all Chibi wants from me is sweets..."

He grabbed a plate of pre-made sweets and carried them out, shouting over his shoulder, "Don't make a mess!"

"Yes sir!" was the response.

"Face it, Chibi likes my sweets better than yours," Rin said, glancing up at Sebastian who walked beside him.

"is that so?" Sebastian responded.

"Is that so? That's it? You're not at all mad about that statement? It's like, since I'm your master and stuff, you can't get mad at me or something,"

"You want me mad at you?" Sebastian inquired, "You really are a masochist. No wonder you like me disabling your nervous system."

"Hey! It's not like that!" Rin protested, his cheeks burning red.

Sebastian chuckled and took the plate of sweets from Rin's hands. "You really are an unusual master."

"Yeah? Well...you're a weird demon! You're name shoulda been Baka instead of Sebastian!" Rin retorted.

"Hm... Since we're picking names, you should be Neko-chan,"

"Hey!"

"You should go back to the kitchen Neko-chan,"

"Don't call me that!"

Sebastian smiled as he turned to head for Ciel's study room. "Your tail, its exposed."

Rin blushed and glanced down to see his tail swishing behind himself. With swiftness, he put it out of sight.

When he looked up, Sebastian was gone.

"Damn you!" Rin cursed, crossing his arms across his chest. He pouted for a moment as he stood there in the hall before sighing and turning back to head into the kitchen.

Luckily when he entered, everything seemed to be fine in the kitchen with no exceptions.

"Hey Bardroy, want to learn a secret recipe?" Rin inquired, having the sudden urge to do something other than stand around aimlessly in the kitchen.

"Really? You're going to trade cooking secrets with me?" Bardroy questioned seemingly in shock.

"Yeah sure, why not? We don't have anything else to do."

"Let's get right to it then!" Bardroy exclaimed. His face lit up in excitement and Rin could only roll up his sleeves and return the smile.

"Okay! First you need..."
