Hey guys sorry it took so long to update. I must warn you this chapter is a little sad one. On that note prepare yourself.

Leah and I have been patrolling for almost 2 hours. It's rather boring but it needs to be done. 'So Leah.... what's new?' I ask her through our thoughts. 'Nothing much.' She replied. 'How much long do you think we need to stay out here?' I ask. 'Uhhh probably another 45 minutes.' Ok that's not too bad. It's not that I mind doing patrol it's just that I am very easily bored. Everything is quite and I almost fall asleep. My head jerks up as I hear a twig crack. 'Did you here that?' I ask Leah. 'Shhh!' She responded. I look around and see nothing. 'Leah I don't think-' I'm cut off by something slamming me into a tree. I yelp in pain. "Hello mongrels." The sickly sweet smell hits my nose. Leech. Leah jumps to attack him but he dodges her attack and slams her head into the ground knocking her unconscious. I rush him hoping to catch him off guard. I was wrong. His fist collides with my face sending me flying once more into the tree. My stomach slams right into the tree. Before I knew it I faced back into a human. My vision is blurry and there's blood running down my leg. My stomach hurts so bad I can't stand it. The leech grabs me by the neck. "Such a shame to waist such a beautiful specimen. Oh well." He said as he bared his fangs about to sink them into my neck. Then just like that his head is ripped off. Edward stands in front of me with blood on his face. Soon Bella Emmett and Maya are in front of me as well. I can only hear their voices pleased with me to hold on before everything went black

I woke up to a beeping noise. The smell of cleaning agents fill my nose. I'm in the hospital. I look around the room to see Jake in a chair holding his head in his hands and Leah standing over the bed. I groan and attempt to sit up. "Easy Abby easy." Leah said trying to get me to lay back down. "Thank God your ok. You lost so much blood." Jake said as he wraps his arms around me. "Where's Aiden?" I asked. "He's outside with your aunt and Sue. The whole packs out there too." It warms my heart to have such a loving family. I look at Leah. She has a guilty look all over her face. 'It's not your fault.' I said through my thoughts hoping she could hear me. Before we could say anything else the doctor came in. I was surprised to see
Carlisle. "Good to see your awake." He said as he comes over to check my vitals and whatnots. "I'm just thankful Edward got there in time. I'd be dead if it weren't for him." I said. It's true I own my life to Edward Cullen. No matter how different we are I owe him. And that's just the truth. "Now your going to have to stay here for at least another day or two." Carlisle said. A sadden expression is plastered all over his ghostlike face. "Abby I'm afraid to inform you but...." He stops. There's a few moments of silence. "Go on doc what is it?" Jake asks. "I'm afraid that when Abby was thrown into the tree she suffered a miscarriage." My mouth drops to the floor. "I didn't even know I was pregnant." I choke out on the verge of tears. "You were shy of a month along and given your a shapeshifter I doubt you'd experience any morning sickness." (I'm sorry if that's not factual info I'm just making this up 😅). Tears are running down the sides of my face. Jake is so stunned he can't even say anything. Leah has tears on the brims of her eyes. "I'm very sorry for your loss. If you need anything just get a nurse to get me. Do you need anything?" Carlisle asks. "Could you tell the others for us please?" Jake asks taking my hand in his. Carlisle nods and leaves the room. I can't breath. I can not believe that I was pregnant and didn't even know it. But now the tiny life growing inside of me is gone. Jake has climbed into the bed with me and is holding me in his arms. I sob loudly into his chest as Leah rubs my back. I haven't felt this much pain in my whole life. I don't think I'll ever get over this

***Two days later***

I get to come home from the hospital today. I haven't eaten or slept much since I found out about this miscarriage. I haven't even seen Aiden in two whole days. I thought I would never get over this and I know it's only been two days. But I've made a decision that I will get over this as quickly as possible for the sake of my son. It's not fair for me to be miserable when he needs his mother to be at 100%. Or maybe 80%. Emily gives me a ride to her house where Jake and the guys are meeting us at. I can't help but rub the little bump that is starting to form in her stomach. I'm very excited for her and Sam. "Now Abby when we get to the house you need to try to eat something ok?" Emily said in her motherly tone. She is going to be a wonderful mom. "Ok Em." I said. When we pull up at the house Jake is standing on the front porch. He opens the car door for me and helps me get out. "How are you feeling today sweetie?" He asks. Oh wow sweetie that's a new one. "I'm ok darling how about you?" I asked kissing his cheek. "I'm good. Our baby boy is inside waiting on you." That made me smile. When I walk through the front door a big welcome home banner is stretched across the ceiling. "Welcome home Abby." Paul said giving me a gentle hug. I know shocker. After getting a hug from everyone I see Ryleigh and Seth with Aiden. Seth takes Aiden in his arms and brings him over to me. I scoop my baby boy up in my arms. I pepper kisses all over his face. "I love wou mama." Aiden said as he kissed my cheek. I smile from ear to ear. "And I love you baby." I said caring him over to the table to fix him something to eat.

**Ryleigh point of view**

I look at my sister with her son. I've always admired her for being so strong. Seth wraps his arms around my shoulders. "Boy your sister sure is an amazing woman isn't she?" He asks. I nod. Jake goes up to Abby and Aiden and wraps his arms around them both into a tight hug. I wonder if Seth and I will have a perfect little family like them one day. Leah comes up to us and we start to talk. "It's hard to believe that just two days ago she was told she had a miscarriage and today she is happy and acting like nothing happened. She is one tough girl." Leah said. "You know Leah I think she's trying to be strong for her son. If you ask me she is an awesome mom. Putting aside her problems for her child." I said. Leah agreed and walked off to talk to Abby and Jake. "So what do you think happens now Seth? Given everything we've been through?" I asked. "Don't know Ry. But I think things will work out for the better. After all there's another baby on the way." He said pecking a kiss on my cheek. I watched my sister and her husband embrace each other. Anyone else would pity them but I don't. I know that good time are sure to come again. After all they always do.
