A Few More Minutes.

[Requested by @Haykkk ]
---------------------------------------
"OoooOOO Go Hobi, Go Hobi!"

"Go TaeTae, Go Tae!"

"Yeahhh Jin!! Go Jin!!"

"GET IT JIMIN!!!"

All the members were in their dance studio, gathered in a circle. They were taking turns going into the middle of the circle to freestyle dance, which was part of their newest choreography routine. This routine was definitely one of their harder ones to learn, but they have been practicing for weeks and had it down pretty solid. They were filming eachothers freestyles on their cell phones that they would later upload to WeVerse, as part of a 'spoiler' to the choreography. Their company actually gave them permission to do this, for once. As part of the promotional period for the new song.

Everyone reviewed the videos and liked what they saw. They were all so proud of themselves, as they had all practiced what they were going to do for their freestyles. They all gave the okay to post the videos onto their accounts for their fans to see. With that, practice was over as it was already quite late at night, and they headed home. When they got home they ordered takeout and went about their own business, and went on WeVerse to see their fans reactions to their dancing.

"J Hope is insane with it."

"Look at Suga goooooo!"

"Who knew RM was so good at dancing?!?!"

"Golden Maknae does it again!!"

The members were blushing reading the comments.

"What about you , hyung? What are they saying on your video?" Taehyung asked Jin.

"Ahh Teahyung-ah, I haven't had time to check it yet."

Taehyung decided to check it for him. He started reading some of the comments to himself and shot Jin a nervous glance. "What're they saying?" Jin asked.

"They..they love it, hyung," Taehyung gave him a big boxy smile.

Jin gave a nod of approval and headed to his room to go spend time with his fans on WeVerse. After he left, Taehyung didn't even mention the comments. He kept to himself and went back to distracting himself with other videos.

Jin logged in to see his fans reactions for himself, only to be greeted with the trending hashtag #KimJinCan'tDance

What's this?

He clicked on it, leading to a never ending updated stream of people leaving hateful comments.

"Kim Seokjin? No, Kim Can'tDance."

"Man is getting old, can't even bend his knees LOL"

"Maybe he should retire at this point??? Kind of holding the group back tbh."

"And we all keep calling YOONGI the grandpa of the group?"

He kept scrolling until he got to one that really caught his attention,

"His dancing reminds me of the time my mom threw a piece of spaghetti at the wall and it slithered all the way down into the trash can. He should probably do the same."

That one hurt. He decided to get off WeVerse and lay there in bed, staring at the ceiling. Was it really that bad? The members said I was doing great. Did they lie to me just to make me feel better? I guess I'll have to practice even harder. He got up from the bed to meet the other members in the living room.

"I was wondering if maybe we could re-record my video?" Jin asked the group.

"Why, hyungie?" Jungkook asked without taking his eyes off the Nintendo Switch he was playing with.

"Apparently a lot of people don't like it," Jin shot Taehyung a look of disapproval, knowing the younger had fibbed about the 'fans' comments. Taehyung gave him a pout and sunk further back into the couch.

"Ohh Jin hyung, don't worry about haters. Your video is great! Your real fans love it," Yoongi told him reassuringly.

"I suppose, but I think tomorrow I might stay late for a little extra practice."

The members nodded in response, they had always found staying late a night or two a week for a little extra practice was always beneficial in the overall outcome of things. They figured if it helped Jin boost his self-esteem, they fully supported him.

So Jin stayed at the studio to practice late. Five nights in a row. An extra three hours almost every night. The members told him after night three that he needed to take a break and slow down, he was going to ware out his body before they even recorded the full video. But Jin couldn't get the damn comments out of his head. After the members would leave he would record himself practicing and agree with the hateful things they had said.

They're right, I can't bend that well. I need to stretch more.

I keep doing this wrong.

Wow that was terrible, Jin.

His mood and overall positive energy were diminishing, especially at home. The members tried to deal with it the best they could, but there was only so much they could say and do. Jimin and Taehyung began offering to help Yoongi make dinner, as Jin was never home in time to cook, or usually even eat. He'd come home in the wee hours of the night and go straight to bed. Jungkook and Namjoon tried to wait up for him to be home, but most nights they physically couldn't do it. Hobi had tried his best to assure Jin that from the perspective  of the dance leader, he was doing all the choreography perfectly fine and there was no reason for all the extra practice. Jin didn't care to listen to anyone, not anyone except those people online.

After a week straight of practicing, the members had the day off. Jin didn't wake up until 1 PM, and when he came out of his bedroom he greeted everyone with dark baggy eyes and dragging feet.

"Would you like some lunch hyung? We left some for you," Jimin offered Jin a plate of what they had made.

"No, I'm fine."

"You need to eat something hyung. Did you even eat dinner when you got home last night? You look like you've lost almost 5 pounds this week," Taehyung mentioned. All the members had noticed their oldest hyung had lost some body fat, and in a pretty short time period too. The combination of 12 hours of dancing a day and only eating one , maybe two, meals during that time was taking a toll on both Jins body and his mind. He'd been irritable lately, and his members sometimes felt like they were walking on eggshells around him. They had tried telling him countless times he can't let the hate online get to him, it's something every celebrity goes through. But the only response that had ever resulted in was, "Mind your business, this doesn't concern you." But it did concern them. They hated seeing Jin go through this, they'd all been through it early in their careers but they were such a popular band now they knew that for every one hate comment online there were a million good ones.

"Hyung you need to eat. If you're practicing this much your body needs fuel or you're going to kill yourself," Yoongi walked over to him and placed his hand on his hyungs shoulder.

"How many times do I have to tell everyone to just mind their business? Am I not the oldest hyung here? Aren't you suppose to listen to what I ask of you or did you all forget what the term 'respect your elders' means?" He shrugged Yoongi away and the younger rapper shot him a sad expression. In fact they had all shot him a sad expression. When would this end? They wanted their happy, energetic, playful, funny Jin hyung back. Taehyung and Jimin also really missed him cooking dinner, but they wouldn't dare express how much they actually hated to help cook.

"Ah Jin-hyung, we're just trying to look out for you," Namjoon chimed in.

"That's not your job, I'm the hyung. It's my job to look out for YOU."

Jimin ceased the opportunity, " So then can you cook dinner with Yoongi hyung tonight?"

"No."

Jimin pouted. At least he tried.

"It's our job to look out for eachother, hyung," Hobi spoke up, "Are you implying that if I were in trouble, none of them should look out for me since I'm the older one?" he pointed to his younger members.

"This conversation is over," Jin demanded and stomped back into his room. He needed to practice more of that damn choreography.

"I'm worried about him," Jungkook frowned as he looked around at the other members.

"We all are, Jungkookie," Hobi sat next to him and began rubbing Jungkook's back. Unfortunately as of late, Jungkook was taking the change in his hyung the hardest. Him and Jin had a special bond, the youngest and the oldest. They were the Tom and Jerry of the group, they were the yin and yang. On a normal night Jungkook would find himself asking Jin a million questions about life, the world, whatever. He always wanted to know his oldest hyungs thoughts and opinions. It had always been Jin who would come get him for dinner, or wake him up for breakfast. Or jump in his bed just to give him a hug for no reason. However lately, unless they were at dance practice, Jin didn't pay much mind to him. Jin didn't pay much mind to anyone anymore, but it was definitely taking it's toll on the youngest.  He was almost starting to forget what a hug from Jin even felt like. Or how he would feel safe when he'd playfully hide behind his hyungs big wide shoulders. But now, Jin wanted nothing to do with him, at least that's how the maknae felt. It was hard not taking it personally when the man who raised you seemed to want nothing to do with you anymore because they were so wrapped up in their own head. Jungkook knew it was selfish of him to think this way, he knew Jin was hurting, but he was young and sometimes still had trouble managing his own emotions.

"All this because of what some stupid bullshit haters posted under one video?" Yoongi said angrily. Jin was Yoongi's ONLY hyung. He felt like it wasn't fair. He had picked up a lot of the slack lately and he didn't like having to act like the oldest. He missed having his own shoulder to lean on, his own big brother to go to. It's not like Jin was dead or anything, but it sure felt like he clearly wasn't there anymore.

"He'll come around eventually," Hobi reassured. Again, they'd all been through it before and always came out on top. As much as it sucked now, Hobi fully believed Jin would come out of this just fine.

Jin came back out of his room a while later, fully clothed in his dance practice attire and holding a duffle bag, " I'm going to go to the studio. I think I need a bit more practice and my bedroom isn't big enough, obviously."

Taehyung got up and went to Jin, trying to snatch the duffle bag from him, " Hyung...you've been working too hard. It's our day off. You need the day off too. Stay and watch TV or eat with us. We could play a game or something," he looked up at Jin with puppy dog eyes.

" I have to practice , Taehyung. Sitting around here doing nothing will just be a waste of time when I could be at the studio getting better."

"Hanging out with us isn't a waste of time, but how would you know? It's not like you do it anymore anyway," Jimin replied in an offended matter and sat back crossing his arms.

"Yah!! Watch your mouth Jimin! I swear the disrespect from all of you lately! What is wrong with everyone?!?" Jin scolded back.

"I'm sorry... I just miss you being around. All you do is practice because of something stupid you read online. It's like you care more about their feelings than ours.." Jimin looked to the floor. Everyone looked to Jimin. He somehow just single-handedly managed to explain how they've all been feeling lately.

"I'm sorry if you feel that way. But do you want me to fail?" Jin asked Jimin sternly.

"What? Fail? Of course not, hyung."

"Then I need to practice more until I no longer fail."

"But you're not failing, hyung," Yoongi replied.

"I am. And I would like to go to the studio now," he headed for the door.

Jungkook shot up from his seat, " Can I come too, hyungie? I was thinking of working out at the gym in the building tonight anyways, we could ride together." He was desperate to get to spend just an ounce of quality time with his Jin hyung. He missed him so much. Jungkook never knew it was possible to miss someone standing right in front of you.

"Sure, let's go."

The members frowned at eachother, they hated this. They hated this so much. Jimin shed a slow tear. Had him and Jin just got in a fight? But they never fight? They watched the two leave out the door, and looked at eachother.

"We'll get through it. He'll get through it," Hobi told them again. At this point he wasn't sure if he was trying to convince his members, or himself.

Once they got to the dance studio, Jin and Jungkook were about to part ways. "How long are you going to practice for?" Jungkook asked.

" I don't know."

"Well maybe not too long today? It's already a little late. Text me when you're done and I'll head up to meet you in the studio."

Jin nodded his head in agreement and headed to the studio while Jungkook made his way to the gym.

Two hours.

Jungkook was exhausted, but because Jin hadn't texted him yet he tried to prolong his workout trying to make the most of his time. But he was so exhausted, he knew he couldn't do one more squat or pushup. His legs were wobbly from all the running on the treadmill. He decided to pack up his stuff and go meet Jin in the dance studio, the man had to be almost done practicing at this point, right?  He made his way to the studio and opened the door.

"Jesus Christ you're soaking wet," Jungkook said in shock. Jin was absolutely drenched in sweat from head to toe, his clothes absolutely soaked. He looked more like he had dove into a pool. He was clearly out of breath, and clearly exhausted.

"Aish! You made me mess up! Now I have to start over!!"

"Start over?! It's been over two hours! You've practiced enough. I mean look at you! Take a break already!"

"Jungkook, sush! You can head home now if you'd like but I need to practice!"

Jungkook slumped to the floor and leaned back against the wall, guess I'll wait. So the maknae waited, and waited, and waited. He didn't understand why Jin was being so hard on himself. He was doing the choreography perfectly. Jin had noticeably become more sluggish as time went on.

"Hyung, you need a snack, and water. I bought these before the gym but didn't eat them, here," he held out a bottle of water and a protein bar for his hyung to restore some of his energy.

" Not now Jungkook. Later. "

"Hyung your body needs something.."

"It needs practice, Jungkook."

"That doesn't mean you should neglect yourself."

"I'm not, I'm making myself better."

"Hyungie..."

"Jungkook, shh. I'm trying to concentrate!"

Jungkook frowned and leaned back again, throwing the water and snack on the floor. He was in a shitty mood now. Why was Jin being such an asshole? And not taking care of himself? He watched as Jin got more and more exhausted.

"Hyung please... you need to take a break. Just stop for tonight.."

"Just a few more minutes."

"Hyung...."

Jin ignored him.

"HYUNG!"

Ignored still.

"Hyung! You're scaring me.."

"Then go the fuck home Jungkook! I told you I need to practice, what do you not get about that?!"

Jungkook had enough. He stood up and grabbed his stuff, snatching up the snacks he had so generously offered. He turned to leave out the door, but took one last sad look at his hyung, who was still going. Still dancing. That is, until he wasn't. Jungkook watched as Jin's eyes rolled to the back of his head and he had stumbled to the floor, now lying there completely unmoving. Jin had passed out.

"HYUNG?!?!?" Jungkook immediately dropped everything and ran to Jin, diving to the floor by his side. He picked Jin's head up and rested it in his lap, " Hyung??? Hyungie??? Wake up, please! Jin hyungie please wake up!!" Jungkook cried. Tears were pouring out of his eyes, he was so worried. He checked Jin's pulse in which thankfully it was fully intact. He placed Jins head back on the floor and ran to get the water. He ran back with it and poured some onto Jin's face, and slowly poured some into his mouth, " Please..." he gently patted Jin's face and shook his shoulders, "Please.....get up...please...hyungie please get up..I need you to get up now.." Jungkook hugged Jin and cried even harder. What a terrible sight. He was caught of guard when he felt Jin start to wiggle in his grasp, and slowly awaken.

"I... think I may have passed out.." Jin slowly looked at Jungkook. The maknae was sitting there still as a brick, looking terrified with tears pouring out of his eyes. He didn't say a word, just stared at Jin with his big doe eyes. Jin hadn't notice it before , maybe it was the black spots still clouding his vision or the headache he now had, but Jungkook looked terrible.

"How did I pass out?" Jin finally asked, looking around realizing he was in the dance studio. Why did he pass out in the dance studio? Without saying anything, Jungkook gripped Jin back into a hug and held him tightly. " Uh...Kookie ..hyung doesn't feel too good.." he suddenly felt nauseous and dizzy all over again.

"We tried to tell you so many times," Jungkook cried as he rocked Jin in his arms back and forth, "So many times, hyung." Jin felt sadness overtake his heart when he realized what Jungkook meant. And he knew his maknae was right.

"I know, bunny. I'm sorry."

Bunny..something Jin hadn't called him in almost two weeks now. Jungkook figured Jin would never say it again. He felt like a piece of his puzzled heart was just put back in it's rightful place. Jungkook stood up and guided Jin to his feet, wrapping his arm around his hyungs waist, "Come with me."  He guided Jin to one of the lounges and blasted the air conditioning after gently sitting him down on the couch. He re-offered the snacks, "Please, eat.." Jin took them willingly this time. Jungkook sat down next to Jin and immediately pulled him into a hug, the older resting his head on the youngests shoulder.

"You're killing yourself, " Jungkook tried to hold in more of his tears as he started playing with Jins hair.

"I'm not trying to."

"Then listen to me, listen to all of us, when we tell you to give yourself a break and rest. You just got hurt, hyung. You want to be perfect? How can you be perfect if you're hurt or sick? Although, you shouldn't feel the need to be perfect. Nobody is perfect. None of us."

"You are. You're perfect at everything. And what about Hobi? He's perfect at dancing..and..."

"Hyung," Jungkook cut him off, " Let me show you something," Jungkook pulled out his cell phone and opened twitter.

He opened it, to Jin's surprise, to a Jungkook hater hashtag. He didn't even know those existed.

"What are you doing, bunny?"

"Let me read you some of these...

-Jungkook looks like a pig

-Jungkook's nose is bigger than shaq's foot

-Jungkook literally sucks at everything, lol

-Mans got giraffe legs

-I think Jungkook has autism "

He looked at Jin.

"Do you think any of that is true?" Jungkook asked his hyung.

"What?! Are you kidding?! Kookie of course not! None of those are true! People are just being internet assholes!"

"And do you think I should think any of those things about myself?"

"Never, maknae. Never ever. You're none of those things and you should never feel that way."

Jungkook stared at Jin for a moment, "And neither should you, hyung."

Jin stared back at Jungkook. When did he become so...mature?

"Kook-ah..I.."

"None of us understand why you're letting the comments get to you so badly. If you don't think the hate comments about anyone else is true, why yourself? Why bother caring what people you don't even know think when you have six little brothers who love you endlessly and an entire team of people, and still half the world, who love you so so much?" Jungkook rubbed Jin's back, as the youngers words seemingly made Jin start crying.

Six little brothers. Who love me endlessly. Who I've neglected and treated like garbage over the opinions of strangers.

Jin began sobbing into Jungkook's chest, "I'm so sorry Jungkook. I'm so sorry." Jungkook got up and grabbed tissues and an ice pack, holding it to Jin's forehead. He grabbed more water and uncapped it for Jin, offering him a sip, " Hyung we all love you the way you are. You're literally my hero, and you're amazing at so many things. You have to believe me when I tell you that."

"Kookie you don't have to be so nice to me, I don't deserve it. I've been so mean and in my own world I didn't even realize how I was acting, not just to all of you, but also to myself.."

"I'm not always the nicest either and yet you've taken care of me like I'm your own since I was just a little kid. You've always looked after me and made sure I was safe and cared for, even if I was being mean to you. That's what brothers do. It's the least I could do. I love you a lot , hyung. And have missed you, a lot. We all have."

Jin sat up and pulled Jungkook into the tightest hug he could, " I love you too, Kookie." They held eachother for quite a long time. Jungkook missed these moments with his hyung, so much.

"Hyung, please stop hurting yourself. For us. For me. Forget what the haters are saying and focus on your own happiness. Not what other people want and expect from you, but what you want for yourself."

" I will, bun. I promise. I'll put their words behind me. And you know what I think I need right now for my own happiness?"

"What hyungie?"

"I have 5 more little brothers at home who I need a good hug, and forgiveness from. I have some apologies to make."

Jungkook smiled as he stood up and offered out his hand to help Jin up,

"I'll drive, hyungie."
