CW: minor descriptions of sexual assualt.

Yoonah felt the ruby ring sitting heavily on her finger. It rubbed against her skin, leaving an irritating feeling after it and the girl found herself lifting it up, expecting to find a green ring tainting her skin, only to find nothing. She twisted it between her fingers as her and Sookie drove through the dark hills, following the large line of cars.

"So you're sure I can come?" Sookie asked, her knuckles white from how tightly she held the steering wheel, squinting at the unlit road.

The brunette rose a brow. "Are you sure you can drive?"

Shooting a glare at her, Sookie scoffed. "Shut it. Aren't I the only one with a license here?" When she received nothing in response, she nodded in victory. "Seriously, you're sure I can come?"

Yoonah chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Haven't you been to one before?"

"I mean, sort of? Last year I got to his front porch before I chickened out and went back home," she faked a shudder. "It was way too scary in there.

"Scary? Why?"

Sookie shot her a weird glance. "Have you seen them? They're like walking Gods,"

The girl furrowed her brows. The six boys were surely all attractive, but were they really worth such high praise?

"Being in a room full of those six men? It's like facing the princes of Hell." Sookie continued.

Yoonah remains quiet for all she could think about were those warm brown eyes. Hands that encased hers, sending nothing but warmth and comfort into her aching heart. She wasn't sure what it was, but something told her that he would be the answer that she needed.

Opting to stay in silence, the girl peered out the rolled down window. The wind carried secrets, caressing her ear and teasing her with the remnants of the past. Head turned, dutifully ignoring the temptation. Yoonah found herself doing that often ever since her parents death; turning a blind eye and running away. Perhaps it was one of the few things she could do to cope with the horrid things she's seen at this school.

After a ten minute detour, Sookie finally managed to parallel park into one of the only parking spots left - and it still wasn't straight. Ignoring her crooked tires, Sookie huffed and dusted off her dress. Before they had left, they stopped in Sookie's dorm before leaving and changed into more mobile dresses for the party because, in the brunette's exact words:

"If we're gonna get high as fuck and girl-boss our way into some dude's pant's tonight, we gotta be able to spread-"

"Please stop, Sookie. Aren't you already drunk enough?"

Even with Yoonah's protests, Sookie managed to get her into a skin tight, white dress that would bring her mother back from her rotting grave just to knock some sense into her daughter (who knew she'd grow up into a slut).

The girl looked down at her own exposed thighs, prickled with goosebumps. Laughter and pounding bass nearly shook the entire neighborhood, coming from the only house that could be identified as Lee Donghyuck's.

Yoonah hadn't drank a single sip of alcohol at the Danse Macabre despite her raging nerves. Although she wasn't planning on shagging it up with a random dude like Sookie was (no shame), perhaps one drink wouldn't hurt.

After all the shit she's been through, she deserves it.

With that, the two girls trudge through the mushy, wet grass, hand in hand under the moonlight and enter utter and unknown chaos together.

━

Yoonah nearly felt sick from the ambient light poking through the shiny disco ball. It was huge, and tacky. Maybe they put it up ironically, or some kind of joke but the girl honestly couldn't find the humor in that.

The brunette was probably through her third cup. As she danced the last two cups away with sheer sweat and adrenaline, the third one was finally starting to take it's toll on her.

"Does this mean I'm a lightweight?" She whispered lazily into Sookie's ear, who sat next to Eunjin - a third year with average grades, but he was the tallest one she scouted out in the crowd so that doubles his points - with a hand rubbing on his thigh.

She jolted at the others soft voice, turning around and giving a lop-sided grin. "Drink one more cup and you'll find out." She winked.

Yoonah giggled, feeling as open and free as she ever has been. The logic in the back of her mind reasoned that she probably didn't need another drink - but fuck it. This is the best she's felt in months, and did not in plan of letting a tiny, stupid voice ruin all the fun.

"It's a party," Yoonah mumbled quietly to herself after she stood up, leaving Sookie to her own seductive siren-y goals she planned to accomplish tonight. "I'm supposed to have fun. Don't I deserve to have fun?" She whined, almost to the kitchen before something wrapped around her waist, pulling her back abruptly.

A nose nuzzled against her neck, a pressure against her back. "You want some fun?" Oh, it's a body against hers. "Has anyone ever showed you how to have fun, new girl?" He murmured.

Yoonah furrowed her brows, attempting to step forward only to get pulled back. She scoffed. "What're you-"

Large hands covered her mouth. "Shhhhh," he hushed, and she could feel his warm smile against her neck, opening and nipping at her skin. Sharp canines tearing at it.

A gasp escaped her lips. Tiny, frail hands tugged at his desperately. Hips moved in the wrong place. A dark chuckle.

"Is that your answer, new girl?" He hummed. "You want me to teach you how to have fun?"

He turned her around, hands still tightly gripped on her waist and Yoonah was sure it would leave an agitated mark but - but now she can see. Him. If anything goes wrong then at least she knows who --

He grabbed her tighter, hands travelling down her tight dress, savoring every curve. Yoonah's heart pounded through her chest and - she couldn't, no she can't be that girl. She won't.

With as much courage she can muster, she raises an elbow and jabs him in the ribs. He grunts, stumbling back before quickly regaining his composure.

"You bitch." He seethes, regaining his death grip on her hips. His hands only go lower, faster, rougher and god, you really did it now.

"Yah," Light. A light voice in this darkness, leading her out of this never ending black hole. "Your girlfriend is looking for you, Donghyun."

The boy lifted his head, finally taking his burning stare off of the girl's body. Yoonah peered back at the voice, eyes widening as fox like eyes stared back at her in - - is that worry?

"Ah? What do you want, idiot? Can't you see I'm busy here?" The other boy growled, tightening his grip on Yoonah.

He stood closer, his arm right in front of her but careful enough not to actually touch her. Only to create a distance between the two.

Pine. Vanilla. Pine and Vanilla. The scent wafts down her nose and into her throat, swirling careful sweet nothings to sooth her trembling body. Is this normal?

"Donghyun," he rose a brow.

There was a final, stern tone laced in his voice that forced even Yoonah to look up into his warm brown eyes. Except they weren't warm and they weren't looking at her. They were narrowed, darkened as if he could read 'Donghyun's' soul. With just one look he had already opened his whole being, like ripping pages out of a book.

"Don't think it's too early in the year to get on my bad side." His eyes darted to the left, where blonde hair shadowed by the lucent blue light leaned up against the way, arms crossed and brows drawn in. A raven ready in to swoop down on his prey.

Donghyun stuttered, blinking rapidly before stumbling away.

It was finally quiet, and Yoonah found herself swaying into the warm scent and strong presence besides her, yet it did little to truly calm her nerves.

"You," she turned, wide eyed and took in the ash-blonde's anger stricken face. "With me. Now," he turned to stalk towards the stairs, but not before mumbling a small, 'please'.

Yoonah did her best to ignore her shaking hands and the wandering and jealous glares as she followed the boy up the stairs, down the long corridor and into a room that he seemed way too familiar with. She stopped at the entrance of the door, a bit of hesitance pooling in her gut.

"I'm not going to hurt you," he spoke abruptly, not even bothering to look at her.

The girl gasped and stuttered. "I-I I don't think-" she faltered, lowering her head. "I don't know."

She wanted the trust Jaemin, because Jaemin is the only person in this damned school who has shown her that he can be trusted even if only in the smallest ways - even more so than Sookie. But even that was a low standard to follow, considering the things she's seen what these students can do.

The reality is that she can't trust Jaemin. Not yet.

He sighed, opting to step closer to the doorway. Even as he was angry, he still was composed. "Do you want to die, Yoonah?"

The girl blinked. "I-Is that a trick question or something?"

Jaemin leans against the doorway, arms crossed over his chest. His shirt is unbuttoned to a dangerously low point, and his arms squeezed around his chest making him look larger than he really was. Or perhaps he really was that bulky and Yoonah never noticed. Why is she noticing it now?

"If you don't want to die, then I suggest you listen very closely." He leaned down from the door frame, hovering over only inches from where Yoonah stood. His minty breath cooled off her burning cheeks. Now, she could see his features better than before. His porcelain, flushed skin against the yellow lamplight, his dark eyes which showed more hazel, his saliva coated lips, torn with bite marks and thick lashes and the faint line of eyeliner painted his waterline.

Is death really this beautiful?

"See death before it sets it's eyes on you," Yoonah furrowed her brows.

"That is the only way you will escape it's grasps."

The girl stuttered, violently pulling back and stumbling into the hallway. Jaemin reached out for her but thought better of it, tucking it behind his back as he watched her tumble to the ground. An inquisitive look takes on his face.

Yoonah thinks it looks pitying.

"You really don't know, do you?" Jaemin stepped forward, gently reaching out his arm.

Yoonah paused before taking his hand.

"Allow me to introduce you to the Raven's den."
