You opened one of your eyes , greeted by the sun directly shining in your eyes from the window .
" Ugh... go away sun!"
You told the sun covering your face under your blanket . Not hearing a chuckle
" My head hurrrtttsssss.....I feel like its about to explode! Gosh... how much I drank ??!! And why am I warped in bandages ?!"
You asked yourself looking at your hands .

" (y.n)-ya you troublemaking brat.... you drank five bottles of sakei and hurt yourself after that"
A very annoyed law spoke . You peeked at him from under the blanket and regretted it big time!!
There set law , with arms crossed and a very angry expression that you never saw before .
"Scary"
You whined hiding under your blanket , curled up like a ball .

" What if I didn't find you ? You would've died . The jungle is dangerous . Not to mention you were drunk and were trying to kill yourself ."
He said with a dont-you-dare-thinking-i-care-but-i-do tone . You sighed sitting up slowly . Remaining silent .
" Answer when im talking to you ."
He said .

" You want an answer ? Fine , I'll give you one."
You said staring at him .
" what happens to me is non of your concern . Sure if I die just find a log pose and take my ship and go to star island . So you dont need to worry , you will get to that island one way or another . So stop getting all worked up"
You said . His expression changed to a very annoyed one .
" You think I said that only because im worried to get to my crew ?????"
He asked rubbing his eyes .
" Yes."
You replied bluntly .

"....."
He remained silent . You sighed and hugged your knees , holding back the tears .
" No one cared....no one cares...and nobody will care..."
You whispered to yourself . He heard that .

" Maybe its because of your shitty attitude that you're all alone.."
He said bluntly , regretting what he said a bit . You froze . Getting frustrated .
" You know you have no right to say such thing to me! You haven't lived what I lived through . I thought you saw the scars on my back when you were treating that wound the vice admiral gave me . So you have no right to complain about my attitude . Not to mention your attitude isnt so nice as well...."
You said pointing at him with your finger . His eyes winded .
" Those.....scars.....-"
He said spacing out .

♢flashback , laws POV♢

《Im almost done treating her wounds . Only the one on her back .》
I thought as I layed her on her stomach and puller her shirt up , revealing a nasty wound . All of her back was covered in blood . I treated the wound and I started cleaning the dried blood . When I saw scars on her back . Old scars .

《What are these ? Scars she got from running away ? Tch...so brave of her.》
I thought and after I was done cleaning her I warped her body in bandages and cut her shirt to a tank top so the dirty part would be gone but at the same time something was covering her . 《She would be embarrassed waking up naked and would think dirty probably . I dont need trouble . I didn't see anything .》
I thought and set down on the couch.

♧flashback ends , writers POV♧

"Those.....wounds.... where did you got them ? From running away from a battle ?"
he asked you . You gritted your teeth .
" Think again sunshine . I never run away from a battle . Those are the wound my so called 'friends' gave me . They betrayed me . You have no idea about the hell I've been through ."
You told him as tears started rolling down your eyes .

《She.....oh god what have I done ?! I broke her even more.... she probably hates me now . Oh god...》
He thought staring at you surprised .
" Dont give my a pitiful look . I dont need it . I was able to survive on my own and claw my way out of hell"
You said .

《Behind that cheerful smile and that kind figure... stands a broken and hurt girl with shattered heart》
He thought and sighed . Walking to you slowly .
"I have my broken moments but then in the end... I have my mothers blood in my veins . I just become my cheerful old self again . Sometimes a good cry can lift a weight from heart"
You said smiling lightly . He walked closer . And did the unexpected . He hugged you .

" Im sorry , I shouldn't have said those mean things to you . Forgive me ."
He whispered in your ear hugging you tightly . You stood there , speechless . A tear rolled down your cheek and you smiled . A bright , big toothy smile .
" I....I..."
You tried to talk . He only tightened his embrace .

" Ssshhh...no need to say anything ."
He said . You slowly warped your arms around him , hugging back as you melted into his strong embrace . Feeling safe and relaxed .
《I needed a hug...》
You thought blushing .
" I just want to let you know... I'll be here for you . I know you dont trust me but I'll earn your trust someday"
He whispered . You nodded . Finally he let go of you and stood in front of you , staring at you . You blushed more and looked down .

" Why are you being nice to me ?"
" Because you remind me of my savior and my friend ."
He said .
" Yes I remember you told me that before"
You said .
However , your stomachs growl ruined the moment . Cursing under your breath you started heading towards the kitchen . Law chuckled and followed you . The last time you ate was the night you and law were on the dexk talking in midnight . You two hadn't ate so you had some soup and you ate together .
"God dammit hunger is a curse"
You mumbled law smirked . You started Preparing some rice and meat.

" You dont have any bread ?!"
He asked surprised and with a disgusted face , just mentioning bread . You shivered and your face turned blue .
"Dont talk about that freak of nature in front of me"
You managed to say . He chuckled .

" You dont like bread ?"
He asked and turned blue a little .
" That is the only edible thing I HATE"
You said not even telling thats name .
"Huh...funny , im the same . Youre the first I met who hates b-b-...that.... like me for a long time . My savior also hated it"
You giggled . Preparing the table .
" But my favorite food is meat . And lots of it ."
You said . He smirked .

You started eating and he was surprised about how much you can eat .
"Your stomach is a bottomless pit"
He comments .
" I know . Got that from my mom . Blame it on her . All her family is like that"
You said laughing .

♤time skip , after you were done doing the dishes♤

"So im going to town to check another library"
He said picking up his nodachi .
" Okey"
You said simply , eating a chunk of meat who was left and unnoticed .
" Dont okey me . Youre coming along . I dont want to face a drunk bleeding you again"
He said .

" Im staying"
" You're not"
"I am"
You said , being stubborn was what you had from both parents . Sighing he picked you up , throwing you over his shoulder . You were already wearing warm clothes . The same coat as yesterday .
"Hey put me down"
"No."
" I said put me down , this is embarrassing , im not a sack of potatoes"
You whined .

He chuckled and started walking to the town . You did all you could to get away from him but it was no use . Once you got to the library , you had already given up . Pouting with your arms crossed while being on his shoulder .
He put you down and entered the library . You wanted to take the chance to escape but he shot you a glare .
" Dont. Even. Think. About. It."
He said coldly with a scary face .

You sighed and followed him inside . Being the clumsy you were , you tripped and fell on a guy .
"I-im very sorry sir"
You apologized getting up . Helping him up ,
"Its ok things happen . Im Tom ."
He said .
"(Y.n)"
You smiled and you realized he was still holding your hand .

Before you could say something law appeared next to you , grabbing your arm .
" I cant even leave you for a second , clumsy"
He said dragging you again .
" Bye Tom , sorry again . See ya I guess"
You said and he waved back . You didn't see the death glares law sent him .

You set there lazily on the chair , staring at law bored to death .
"Law...im bored..."
" And im reading ."
" Then just let me go ."
He looked up from his book , looking at you .
" No"
He said and kept reading .

Puffing your cheeks you mumbled something at him causing him to smirk .
" do what you like but stay close and dont go out of my sight"
He noted .
" IM NOT A KID!"
you said loudly , immediately putting your hands on your mouth realizing how loud you were .

"Doctors orders"
" Im not sick and you're not my doctor"
" Just listen to me and do something so you wont be bored....anything "
He said .
" anything ?"
You grinned .
" Anything"
He said and continued reading .

You moved your chair and set next to him . Slowly removing his hat , you put it on your head . He was about to complain telling you not to touch his hat but changed his mind .
" Be careful with my hat . Its precious"
He said .

" Okeeey . I'll take care of it"
《Its not like she's gonna do anything to my hat . Let her have it for now . And it looks nice on her....》
He thought and kept reading .
You fixed the hat on your head . Liking its warmth and fluffiness .

Staring at him , you thought about how soft his hair looked. Smiling you reached out your hand and touched his hair . He tensed up and looked at you . You didn't even realized that . You were focused on his hair and were playing with it .
" So soft...its so black..."
You whispered to yourself but he heard it and chuckled .

It was the first time you were seeing him without his hat . Since he slept later than you and woke up sooner . Even when he showered after he was dressed he wore his hat so you never got the chance .
You kept playing with his hair as he kept reading . You were sitting on his left side . He was relaxed and had a light smile on . After a while you felt sleepy and your eyes were closing .

" Hey...um...can we go sit on that couch ? It looks more comfortable than this wooken hard chair . He nodded and you smiled .
Sitting on the couch you kept playing with his hair as he startedvanother book . You looked around you . A warm wooden comfy library . Smelling like chocolate . A comfy fluffy couch . A nice scent , the scent of the one sitting next to you . Snow dancing outside the window . The lights giving you a warm feeling .

You yawned and leaned closer to him , gently warping your arms around his waist and leaning to him . Your eyes closed and you fell asleep . It felt weird yet nice . Sleeping without worrying . You never admitted but you trusted him . His eyes told you everything . You were good at reading others.... just like your father....

Law realized you were asleep . Smiling he pushed a few hairs that had fell on your face behind your ear.
"You're so troublesome (y.n)-ya... just rest . I'll be here"
He whispered to you and you smiled in your sleep .

"Cora-san , shes just like you . Im feeling like the time we were together....thank you..."
He whispered to himself looking at the window . But then the feeling of losing you made him worry . He didn't want that to happen again . Cora-san was enough . He couldn't handle one more loss .
"Law dont worry"
You sleep talked . He chuckled and caressed your cheek . This feeling was nice....

Im a good author who updates so much xD . Ok so what do you think ? How was the chapter ? In every fanfic the reader falls in love first . But not here ;)
