I bounced my knee nervously as we drove over to the Cullens home. "Jake this is incredibly rude. Showing up at someone's house uninvited." I said. Which that was true or at least what both of us were taught.

"Babe we're going to visit a friend. Nothing rude or offensive about that." He assured me with a pat on the leg. It didn't stop them from bouncing up and down and up and down.

"Yea until Rosealie starts calling you a dog and I have to rip out her hair from the roots." I growled at the very thought. I hated when she called us that. If I'm a bitch then she's a mega bitch.

"Hey don't go wolf on here. We've got little wolf with us." He said kissing my head gently. I sighed slightly. I didn't want to bring Ephraim at all but Jake didn't want Sam to find out where we were going. Which when he comes by the house and finds out we aren't there then he's gonna put 2 and 2 together.

I felt the acids in my stomach churn as we pulled up. I had only been to this house two other times and that was at Bella's graduation party and her wedding. Because let's face it I sure wasn't going to come over here for a freaking slumber party.

I picked Ephraim up out of his carseat and put his diaper bag over my shoulder. "Daddy you go first." I said as I pointed to the front door of the home.

He chuckles slightly as he walked in with us not far behind. We were greeted by Esme and Alice. "It's wonderful to see you both again." Esme said just as sweet as she could be.

"Ok don't try to butter me up. You can hold him." I grinned. Alice clapped like a little school girl. "You have always been my favorite wolf." Alice said as she gently took Ephraim from my arms. I blushed slightly at her comment.

"Umm thanks I guess?" I giggled. Jake rolled his eyes earning him a slap to the arm from me. "Don't be an ass." I said. "Yes maam." He said walking upstairs where the rest of the coven and Bella were.

"That's far enough." Rose snapped at us as we walked in. I rolled my eyes. "Don't start any shit Blondie. We've got our son with us." I said crossing my arms.

"You do?" Bella asked from the couch. The once vibrant pink cheeked girl I saw not even 3 weeks ago was gone. She was replaced by a hollowed grey tented girl who looked as if she was being starved.

I sorta shoved past Rosealie to go to her. "You know I wouldn't come by for a visit and not bring him to see you. Besides Alice was probably going to hunt me down to see him again." I joked playfully.

Bella smiled widely. Alice gently handed Ephraim back to me. "Hi little man. You've grown since the last time I saw you." Bella smiled at him. He wrapped his tiny finger around hers.

For a moment Rosealie's hateful exterior melted away into a much more kinder being. She cooed playfully at my son. I smiled at them. My mom always used to say a baby would bring everyone together.

Jake sits in the chair beside the couch where Bella and I are. "So are you gonna tell us what's wrong?" He asked gently as he looked at his best friend. Bella's eyes became a little bit more scared at his question.

"Rose you wanna help me up?" She asked. Rose gently took her hand to help her. I noticed as she moves the blanket she was covering up with her pudge out stomach.

It looked a lot like how my stomach was when I was 6 months along with Ephraim. The key difference is Bella's was blackened with bruises. With wide eyes I turned to look at Jacob.

I heard a growl rip through his throat. He stomped over to Edward. "You did this!" He growled only to be stopped by Emmett. "We didn't even know this was possible." Carlise said.

Jacob shoved Emmett's hand off his shoulder. "What even is it?" He snapped. "We don't know. Ultrasounds and needles won't penetrate the amniotic sack." Carlise explained fully.

It? That struck me the wrong way. This wasn't an it. This was a living breathing being. This was a tiny life growing within Bella. This was a baby. No different from the baby I held in my arms.

Jacob growled deeply. "Why haven't you taken it out of her?!" He snapped. "Jacob!" I inturn snapped at him. "How can you say that! The baby inside her is no different from our own son. How would you react if someone had told me to abort Ephraim!" I said narrowing my eyes at my imprint.

"Please everyone calm down. All this fighting isn't good for Bella." Esme said. Alice quickly spoke up. "The fetus isn't good for Bella." This must have rubbed Rose the wrong way.

"Say the word Alice. Baby. It's just a little baby." She said sending daggers at her adopted sister. I gently took Bella's hand into mine. It may not make much sense at all for me to defend someone I honestly used to hate. But this was right to me.

"You all seem to be forgetting. This is Bella's choice. Jake you can get mad at me if you want. But I'm with Bella. If she wants to go through with this pregnancy. Then I will be by her side." I proclaimed.

Anger just radiated from Jake. Edward had asked to speak with him outside. I sighed as both males walked back down the stairs and out the front door. I felt Bella squeeze my hand with whatever strength she had.

"Abby.... Thank you." She said. I shake my head. "I'm sure if it was me you would do the same. This child is a blessing. No matter if he or she is half vampire half human or heck half mermaid." I said making her laugh slightly.

"Well as long as Ephraim is awake. Do you care if I hold him?" She asked sweetly. I smiled at her. "Yes you can."

I put a pillow in her lap and gently placed him in her arms. The look on her face as she held him was one of a mother. The look of love and devotion.

In the back of my mind I started to wonder so many things. Would she survive this? Would she be able to see her child grow? Would she? Would she?
