PROLOGUE

Even though her father had lost his job due to accusations of being a criminal, Sia was happy. Their source of income was gone, everyone gave their family death stares, taunted them yet it didn't matter to her. He was proven innocent and that was enough for her. He hadn't rape that child.

The happiness didn't stay for long, it vanished into thin air when she saw her father giving the victim's father money for her medical conditions and a promise to pay the same amount every year in return of taking down the case.

He wasn't innocent, he just took advantage of the financial problems of the victim's family who badly needed money to save her life.

Sia couldn't do anything about it as the transaction was done legally and when she tried to inform her mother, she was dismissed carelessly as her Mom trusted her husband blindly.

So she kept quiet, silently drowning in guilt and disgust.

Having no source of earning money and the saved funds gone to the victim's family, they were going to come on streets. To get out of this problem her father decided to marry of her elder sister Tanya to an old man.

Fortunately she was saved by Raghav (Brother of Tanya's best friend). They both got married leaving Sia in constant distress. She kept praying that Raghav wasn't like her Father.

She knew him from her childhood, even admired him but now no man was trustworthy for her. How could she trust anybody? When the first hero of every girl, her hero, her father was the villain of another girl's life.

Two years passed by and she had no option but to inform Raghav and Tanya about her father's crime when her father had stole a huge amount of money from Tanya's debit card to pay the victim.

When he was confronted he lied but he ran away stealing all the jewellary and the cash that was left in the house, when he came to know that he won't get any money for another year's payment from Raghav.

But in between the confrontation and his take off, Sia left the town. Sia found it difficult to stay in this town where everyone had known about her father's wrongdoings. She felt as she couldn't breathe in that environment.

So when she turned 18 and time of college came, she took off to another town hoping to get away from the remains of her father's deeds.

In a new town alone without her family for the first time along with tons of bad memories, Sia started off her new journey.
