Dan Needs Protection, Too
Everyone's always saying how Phil is "innocent" and is more vulnerable to haters. I'm not denying it, but Dan also gets hate. Phil's hate is always like, "I wish your entire family was murdered," and whatever. Phil will sometimes get serious hate, I'm not saying that he doesn't, but Dan's hate is more like "Kill yourself." Dan stays strong, and doesn't show that it hurts, but it does. So, with that in mind, I wrote this imagine. Enjoy!

"Dan, I'm home!" you called as you set your stuff down. No answer. This is odd, you thought. You thudded up the stairs to Dan's room. There, in the center of his bed, lay his phone, abandoned and alone. Frowning, you went to investigate.
Kill yourself. You're ugly. Ew, how is he even famous? Thousands of hate comments swirled around you, all directed towards your best friend. Your brain raced as it put two and two together, and you ran off towards the bathroom, crying, "Dan, no!" You forced the door open and sure enough, a horrible sight awaited you.
Dan was slumped against the wall, his head down and body unmoving. Blood was pouring from his right wrist, and a knife hung limply from his fingers. You rushed around, frantically gathering the supplies you would need to tend to Dan. You bandaged his arm, hoping that you weren't too late. You gently moved him back to his room, even though you could barely carry him. You hugged him to your chest, praying he would wake up. Slowly, his eyes fluttered open.
"Dan!" you cried, weak with relief. "Y/N? What... What happened?" Dan asked feebly. "You cut too deep," you whispered. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I'm worthless," he said. "No, Dan. You're not. You're my best friend in the whole entire world. I wouldn't trade you for anyone," you said, staring into his beautiful chocolate eyes. The truth was, you had had a crush on him ever since you met him three years ago, but you couldn't show it. You didn't want to ruin your friendship.
Suddenly, you felt Dan's soft lips on yours, and it was like Heaven on earth (so cliché). You immediately kissed back. It wasn't that romantic, seeing as Dan lay weak and bleeding on your lap. The kiss was soft, short, and sweet, but it was perfect. When you pulled away, you whispered, "I love you, Dan. You are hilarious, relatable, and not to mention handsome. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
