*Y/N's POV*
Asriel and Chara were on his bed, playing a quick game of cards before bed. You were on your computer, typing documents and finishing up your schedule for the month. "How has work been, Y/N?" Chara asked. "Oh, it's been great." You smiled. You felt bad about lying to everyone all the time, but you didn't want them to worry. Plus, they just wouldn't understand. "Really?" Asriel looked over you. You nodded, and returned back to work. He gave you an odd look, and then went back to playing the game. It always was harder to trick Asriel. Chara yawned. "Where am I going to sleep tonight?" She asked, rubbing her eyes. "We have an air mattress you can use. Or, you could probably take Y/N's bed, since she never sleeps." Asriel joked. You smiled, but didn't turn to face him. "Very funny, Asriel." Asriel heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" Papyrus and Sans were there. "Hey
Y/N, could we please talk to you?" Sans asked. You instantly tensed up, and began feeling nervous. You did nothing wrong, but you hated the phrase, 'can we talk?'. You nodded, and minimized your computer tabs before walking out the door. "Sans has been telling me that you haven't been doing too well." Papyrus said softly. You already knew what they were going to say. 'You can talk to me' or 'Is something bothering you at school?'. Sans and Tori have said thoes phrases multiple times. "I think you need a break." Sans said, grabbing three mugs from the kitchen. He started making hot chocolate. "While I appreciate your concern, I am fine." You said, smiling. "Y/N, while I am not as close with you as Sans is, I lived with you for over a year in the underground. I can tell that something is wrong." Papyrus said. You looked around the room, as you were not sure how to respond. "Look kiddo, you don't have to explain what's going on," Sans said while splitting the hot chocolate between the three mugs. "But please, just take a break for a bit. We might watch a movie or play a game, and we were hoping you would join us." He handed you and Papyrus a mug. "Okay." You said, and walked into the living room. "She wasn't smiling. Did we upset her?" Papyrus asked Sans quietly. "I don't think so. But I'm not necessarily looking for her to smile, because I of all people know how easy it is to fake one. I just want her to be relaxed, you know?" Sans looked up at him. He smiled. "You're a good father, Sans." Papyrus said, and then walked into the kitchen. Sans stood there for a minute, then walked in the living room with a small smile on his skull. You seen his face, and smiled in response. You weren't faking a smile, either. You both began smiling, truly smiling, while Papyrus grabbed a game. You all started playing the game while Tori and Mettaton walked in. They went straight to the kitchen so they wouldn't bother you all. You and Sans laughed as Papyrus was sent to jail. Papyrus glared at the board, but smiled, because for once both you and his brother were truly happy.
