Chapter 10 (Part 4)

Suddenly, a heavy thud cuts through the air. Aaron drops to his knees, his hands swiftly grasping Oliver's tightly. Aaron begins shaking Oliver's hands uncontrollably, tears welling up in his eyes, on the verge of spilling over.

"Thank you so much! Thank you very, very, very much!" Aaron cried out in a mixture of happiness and relief. "Your actions mean more to me than the shimmering stars!"

"Hey!" Oliver laughed. "You're welcome!"

"You... are a prophet!" Aaron insisted, his eyes shining with unwavering conviction. "You have fulfilled the prophecy! It is you we have been waiting for!"

Oliver humbly shook his head. "I am not a prophet." His glance darted at his shoes.

"You are," Aaron countered as he smiled.

"I'm not a prophet... but..." Oliver's gaze shifted to the attentive crowd. "...I am here to sow the seeds of peace, to nurture harmony in the world. But the responsibility to cultivate peace rests not on one man alone. It is a collective effort, a shared responsibility to embrace peace and spread it with passion and love. By doing so, we shall reap a bountiful harvest of goodness from the seeds we sow." Oliver paused, taking a deep breath. He then continued, raising his voice. "Do not harbour wrath or grudges towards one another, for what you cultivate in your garden will only wither. Thus, I say unto those present here, spread my word... my word which I say... love and respect everyone, regardless of who they are. Let us remove all forms of force or coercion from society. Men should not dictate the lives of their fellow men. Do not let hatred and pride deceive you." Oliver's heartfelt words brought tears to the eyes of his listeners.

"...I'm so grateful to have joined my soul with his," Gregory whispered to Sophia. "He is a living embodiment of a blessing."

"Mhm," Sophia nodded.

Aaron gently clasped Oliver's hands. "If you're a prophet, then you deserve the treasures of our town! You are worth more than diamonds. Allow us to offer you our gems, our gold! Our crystals!"

"...Well, humbleness I order unto every man," Oliver added. "Even to myself."

Aaron let out a flattered sigh, touched by Oliver's response.

Curiosity getting the better of him, Edgar whispered to Gregory, "What does he mean by that?"

"Shush!" Sarrah quickly shushed Edgar, placing a finger on her lips.

"Whether one is a prophet or not, rich or not, noble or not, we are all mortal beings," Oliver ventured. "Do not let yourself become boastful of your status. We are all equal in the eyes of our gods. Whatever god or gods you follow, we know they are the fairest. And, surely, they do not play favourites among us men."

Aaron nodded, understanding the inclusive message Oliver conveyed. "Oh..." Aaron stood up and leaned closer to Oliver's face. "But you still deserve to be rewarded for what you've done for the town!"

Oliver responded with a charming smile. "Let it be."

Confusion momentarily clouded Aaron's face, though his friendly smile remained. "W-what?" Aaron said.

"Let it be as I follow the footsteps of love," Oliver explained.

"...What are the footsteps of love...?" Aaron questioned, eager to learn.

Oliver responded, his words resonating deeply with all who heard them. "The footsteps of love shall come, and it did not come to be served but to serve and to give joy."

Sophia, Gregory, Edgar, Sarrah, and Bethany couldn't contain their joy, their smiles stretching wide across their flushed faces. They playfully bumped into each other with their eyes fixed on Oliver, who wore a bright and humble smile. Oliver's words ignited a powerful spark within them, filling them with excitement that made their bodies shake.

Meanwhile, the people around them nodded gently, their brows furrowed in deep thought. They looked down, absorbed in every word spoken by the Remaining Podeshire. As understanding dawned upon them, their minds transcended, and enlightenment washed over their beings. Smiles slowly formed on their faces, transforming into expressions of delight. They exchanged glances as their eyes shimmered with joy.

In awe of his companions, Oliver glanced at them with a warm smile. He released a deep breath through his nose, taking in the heartwarming sight before him. His spouse and friends grinned at each other and looked back at him with a slight nod.

"Hey, my quest..." Oliver said, "...our quest is finally complete!"

Sophia, Gregory, Edgar, Sarrah, and Bethany fell silent. Suddenly, they burst into loud gasps, and their eyes widened.

"You're saying you've finished all the tasks?" Sophia's face lit up with a wide grin.

"Yeah! We can finally return home!" Oliver said, jumping on his toes.

"Really?" Sophia's smile grew brighter, and her eyes sparkled like emerald under the sunlight. "Oh! Uh! Can I join you all at the mansion again? I've missed everyone dearly," she asked.

"Of course!" Oliver responded warmly, stepping closer to Sophia. He stood before her and unexpectedly locked her in an embrace where they could feel each other's hearts. "You're always welcome, any time."

Sophia's voice softened as she replied, resting her eyes briefly. "Thank you."

Oliver released the hug and turned to Aaron. "Sir Aaron, could you guide us to the nearest international transportation centre at an affordable price?"

"I will," Aaron nodded.
