This book is a short story with 10 chapters. It is about Phil wanting more to his life than just living with his father underground (colony-like place) with poor living conditions and lack of modern technology. He has desires for fame and fortune and would pay any prize for it. One night, Phil left home to do his training, well, at least that's what his dad knows. That night changed his life... I don't want to spoil it for you, so go read the book to find out for yourself!
It gave me the "olden day" vibes in the beginning where some families struggle to get by. The story seemed really diversed, the plots and storyline were really distinctive from other works, which make this book stand out from the crowd. Even though I've only read 7 chapters, the author has captured a lot. I loved the plot twist, they were really unexpected which intrigued me to dive deeper into the story.
The blurb was fantastic, it briefly explained what the overall content of the book is about without revealing too much. The author nailed the character descriptions, I was able to envision them perfectly! Amazing attention to details. The characters were greatly established, and the female protagonist has its own unique character which stands out. She has qualities that other characters don't, and a personality that we won't find in other fictions. The characters were realistic, as they all have their own flaws, strength, backstories, and their aspirations.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience reading this and I would consider rereading this. I would recommend people who want to improve and strengthen their writing skills, as it gives you a deeper insight into your characters and you get a chance to focus on dialogue and descriptions.
WARNING: It contains graphic details and mature content.
Feedbacks: There are very minimal punctuational mistakes here and there.
You're a great author, I wish you the best for your writing journey!😁
