In the morning after breakfast. Caroline is showing Melanie the Withmore campus. The first stop was the cafeteria where they had surprisingly good food.

"So the cafeteria actually has really good food" Caroline said and Melanie chuckled remembering the horrible lunches from highschool. Their next stop was the library.

As they walked throught the wooden halls of the university,Melanie admired the building. She knew her mom went here with Aunt Elena and Aunt Bonnie. If she was really in the past why didn't she see her aunt Bonnie or Uncle Damon or maybe could there be a chance that she gets to meet ger father. That was the intention of this whole affaur in tge first place. Granted neither Hope ir Melanie expected the spell to backfire and she would end up in the past but it happened and she decided that she was going use this oportunity. As they reached the library Melanie couldn't hold it in herself and had to ask Caroline.

"I heard that I have 2 uncles do you think I could meet them in time?" In reality she knew Damon like the back of her hand but she had mo memory of her father.

"Damon's in Mystic falls looking after Jeremy-that's Elena's younger brother- and Stefan well no one knows where he is. He just vanished after graduation" Caroline said and Melanie watched as her mother's voice got filled with anger and worry when mentioning Stefan. Caroline thought they were friends and that he wouldn't leave without saying goodbye.

"ohh okay" Melanie said. She hoped that both of the would turn up soon so that she could meet Stefan. She wondered how its going to look like. Will he look at her and know she's his daughter?Will his fatherly instincts kick in? Or will he look at her like she's a complete stranger, because truth be told she was a stranger to him. Another thought crossed her mind what if her father finds out he's a dad but he's not going to want her. That was the most scariest possiblity.

Melanie felt like she barely knew her mom now during the tour. This Caroline Forbes was so cheerful, where the mother she knew was serious. But she would never trade her up for anyone in the world. Because Caroline Forbes meant everything to Melanie Salvatore.

hey were walking to Caroline's dorm when Melanie spotted her uncle across the street talking with a guy. A guy with brown hair and forest green eyes that shined on his face. He was smiling at her Uncle. They were clearly discussing something important as Stefan's face changed to serious. He looked over Damon seeing the both of them and his gaze shifted onto Melanie.

Flashes of a girl with brown eyes and brown hair ran through his mind. She was dressed in a beautiful red toga that had various symbols embroidered into it with a gold thread. She had her hair braided to the side multiple flowers implanted in it. She was smiling and anyone could tell she was happy.

"I love you papa" The girl said and she walked away keeping her beautiful posture as she walked through the corridor outside, where she was met with a girl that had auburn hair and their arms linked together.

It's been 2 thousand years but all he could think of was his beautiful baby daughter that somehow seemed to have reincarnated into the girl. He had to look away if he didn't he would ran up to the girl and hugged her like his and her life depended on it. Even if his heart ached for just one more glance one more sights of her beautiful curls he couldn't look.

Damon noticed Silas starring at the girl that was standing behind them so he turned around and saw Caroline with a new girl. The one Silas was looking at.

While Melanie and Caroline both looked confused at the boys actions none of them moved. Then all of sudden Silas turned on his heal and began walking away while Damon walked closer to Blondie as he liked to call her.

"Hey Blondie. Two things. Who's that?"He said pointing to the girl next to her." And we've got a huge problem involving Stefan" Damon said and Caroline made a face that said continue but Damon was looking at her like she's crazy because he didn't Melanie knew about the supernatural yet. Then Caroline realized she didn't tell him.

"Ohh yeah sorry I forgot this is Melanie Sebrof and she's a new type of supernatural that you haven't seen. I'll explain later. But what do you mean a problem with Stefan? I thought he left town?" Caroline said and asked the raven haired vampire infront of her.

"Okay we'll discuss that later but what you saw there was Silas and he says Stefan's been drowning all summer so that he could experience half the pain Silas did" Damon explained and Melanie thought she was going to faint. Her father's been suffering all summer. That's not fair.

"Where is he?"She asked immediately not caring about the consequences of how might this sound to them.

"Okay chill girl the last we seen Stefan was Steven's quarry"Damon answered and Melanie made a mental note to check that out the moment she got near any wifi. She was going to save her dad and nothing is going to stop her.

After the encounter with Damon. Caroline and Melanie went into the dorm to get changed because there was a party on campus. Melanie was full of joy, in her time going to a college party with her mom, hell would freeze over before that happened. Of course she had to hear a lecture from Caroline to not get wasted, to not say your real name, and don't mention you are or know about the supernatural. I guess some things never change. After Caroline picked the perfect outfit for the both of them they headed out. Melanie said she will be right back she just needs to go on a quick bathroom break.

Thanks to having vampire blood cursing throught her veins she could hear a little better then average humans. That's how she heard something, it sounded like a muffled voice. She had heard her fair share of crazy voices but this one was different like the guy was begging for someone to find him and help him. She walked towards the sound and found herself near a classroom she was about to open it when a voice stopped and she nearly jumped out of her skin.

"What are you doing?" The guy standing there asked her. She placed a hand over her heart.

"I'm sorry you scared mey I thought I heard a voice in there"Melanie chuckled and the guy chuckled next to her too. He opened the door for her to see that no one was there.

"I'm Wes Maxfield, aren't you a little young to be in college?"He asked her and Melanie shaked her head.

"I'm not in college, I'm just visiting my friend Caroline" She told him and he smiled.

"Caroline Forbes?"

"Yeah"

"I teach some of her classes"Wes lies to her and Melanie holds out her hand and he shakes it.

"It was nice to meet you Mr.Maxfield" Melanie says and walks outside to the party. Wes enters the room and pulls the room devider to reveal Jesse who looks tired and weak being strapped to a medical gurney. Wes makes a mental note to check on this mistery girl because if he's lucky he might just have another subject to study.

While on the party Melanie is drinking some alcohol. Thanks for supernatural healing it was very hard for her to get drunk. She tried once. With Lizzie and it took them 3boktles of champagne for her to even feel something. She was dancing freely, enjoying the music when she spotted Elena. She waved over at her.

"Hey Mel, I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to drink that"She said jokingly.

"Well I don't think you are either"Mel said and since her Aunt was still freshman that meant at best 19 years old.

"I won't tell if you won't"Elena said and Melanie laughed. She loved hanging out with both her mom and Aunt like this. Both of the girls laughed out moments after it.

Cut

Melanie was dancing enjoying the party and as she hoped to the beat of the music she tripped and fell down. She had a cut on her leg that was bleeding. She quickly put the napkins that were on the table to stop it so that her healing could kick in.

"Do you need help with that?"Wes asked. He found it very suspicious that a girl just randomly found the one classroom in the whole building where he kept his vampire so he followed her.

"No I'm fine it's just little cut I'll live" Melanie said and limped tp the nearest tree. She uncovered the napkins to discover that the cut was healing and there was little to none blood left. Rule number three, never let anyone see your abilities. She threw the napkins away and walked towards the quarry to rescue her father. Of course she left a little note in the dorm room saying. I'm going to find Stefan I'll be back shortly. She arrived at Steven's quarry and saw a guy fishing out a fairly large safe. He opened it and a boy with brown hair and green eyes got up and fed on the guy. His eyes shot up and Melanie gasp at the appearance.

Blood red eyes with veins underneath them. His whole face is covered in blood and his clothes are bloody too. Tje only thing white on this boy were the fangs that were in his mouth. He speeds to her and wants to eat her but something in him is telling him not to.

"Go home you didn't see anything" He says and turns around about to walk away when she calls out to him.

"It's okay I can help you" She says and the boy looks confused why was the girl immune to compulsion. He guessed she must've known about the supernatural. A part of him didn't want to leave the girl the other said to run before he hurts her.

Hello guys it's almost 7am here so how did you sleep today. I slept fine a good 8hours. Melanie is trying to adapt to the past but it's not always easy. Who could blame her for not resisting the urge to go n help her dad.
