A TIME TRAVELER'S GUIDE

in the quiet hum of present days, when history seems far away, a hand upon the past is laid, and through the veil a path is made.
a twist of fate, a tear in time, the rocks, the soil, the scent, the climb.
her world is one of ink and page, of history's dust, a scholar's age, yet fate unrolls a darker thread, where past and future both are wed.
she grips the past, though it may slip, her knowledge guides her steady ship, through forests deep and skies of flame, where time itself seems not the same.
the soldiers march, the banners rise, a war begins beneath dark skies.
the ring, a secret’s glow, acode, a map, to help her know, her path is tangled, history's snare, yet she moves with grace, with skill, with flare.
she steps through time with careful prose, the future's pulse, the past's repose, her yearning heart and ancient mind, a bridge between, both intertwined.
rewrite fate, or let it be?
and when the journey’s path is clear, through smoke, through flame, through doubt, through fear, she’ll know the truth, and in her stride, she’s not just lost—she’s time’s true guide.

Abigail Fitzgerald never expected history to pull her in quite so literally.
As Penn State major going for her PhD in History, with a focus on Early America, as well as being a seasoned reenactor, Abigail knows the ins and outs of the American Revolution better than most.
But when she trails the rock fencing at Pennypacker Mills, a former camp of General Washinton and the Continental Army, and finds herself in 1775, knowledge alone won’t be enough to survive.
If only she had her history professor here to prove that too.
Mistaken for a spy by Major Benjamin Tallmadge and his patrolling company of Dragoons, she talks her way into Washington’s camp, weaving a story like the woolen fibres she demonstrates with in the twenty-first century to avoid the noose.
The more she fights to find a way home, the more she wonders—does she even want to leave?
And more importantly, can she?
BENJAMIN:
Do we get a happy ending?
ABIGAIL:
There's no such thing,
just endings.

WARNINGS.
ೄྀ this book is rated R for death, detailed descriptions of blood, guts, gore, period correct [ an the occasional incorrect for the sake of modernism and humor ] dialogue, racism in a historical standpoint only, misogyny in a historical standpoint only, slandering the british, mentions of intimacy, modern idioms that have the Culper Ring cocking their heads like quizzical beagles, and the basis of well, history, Turn: Washington's Spies and all aspects of 18th century life.
COPYWRIGHT.
ೄྀ I own all rights to this novel: which basically means, in short, the plot and original characters which I have created are not to be used unless I alone give permission.
Plagrism in every inkling of the word is frowned upon in polite society. And I'm not as good as I once was not to publicly berate anyone who tries to steal my work.
I of course *do not* own TURN: WASHINGTON'S SPIES, the characters of history, or all real life places mentioned. I'm not gatekeeping history here !
Boooooo Penn State !
CREDITS.
ೄྀ The cover, layout, plot, and original characters of 'A Time Traveler's Guide' all belong to me.
ALL graphics used in ATTG thus far have been found on pinterest. I was not able to track down who they belonged to as they had already been stolen, but if you / someone you know of created these please inform me so I can give credit where it's due !
A NOTE BY THE AUTHOR.
ೄྀ I am not going to go out and falsely proclaim that I know every aspect of history and in and out lives of those who lived back then. But I have been involved in the preservation and education of revolutionary war history for twenty years and do consider myself the best candidate to tell this story. I have been reenacting / interpreting / demonstrating / educating for around ten of those. And have sat on multiple large scale projects within that realm for around 8 years now.
Which just goes to prove I'm getting old.
