Chapter 22: Elemental Vampire
Woho, my Caine oglers, I'm back (but thanks to one idiot I dare to call my friend, well my frenemy, I have a fever that hasn't been gone for entire month, don't even ask, my asš is sore from all those injections I got)
So, that aside, no one loves me, I get it.
Why I haven't updated? Few reasons:
-School entry exams (third of four grades in medical high)
-Trip to a city where comic book artists gathered (why yes, I draw)
-Hospital (aye, I caught some nasty virus)
-Lost teeth (how the fúck did I manage to break it day before it was supposed to be cemented?)
-No WiFi source (cruel is this place I live in)
-Possibly writer's block (i ain't sure about that one, but still)
There, I hope you forgive me, now onto the chapter:
†Elemental Vampire†
Azra slowly lowered her head in submission to Marcus as he slowly approached her. He knew that growling back at him and trying to protect Saphyr would only make things worse, because let's face it; no person was worried about her as much as Marcus was.
"Sir..." she weakly whispered as she loosened grip on Alex's fur and his look relaxed. He didn't want to scare her.
"I'm here, Saph. It's alright," he said kneeling next to Alex who followed in his step as she laid down.
"Where, it's dark. I can't see you, sir," she mumbled scaredly as realization dawned them all. She was blind.
Marcus couldn't speak. He only so slowly rose his arm ti her face so that she could touch him. Feeling his touch on her cheek, she slowly grabbed his hand with her two smaller one before giving him an heartfull smile.
"It really is you," she said, but no one said anything. No one could say anything at that matter.
"Y-you really are here..." her voice wavered before turning into a sob. And sob by sob, it turned into a cry. The most painfully innocent cry that pierced his heart deeper than any sword in the past ever did. He slowly lifted her body in his arms as she clutched in his chest and cried her heart out.
He put her on her feet before taking of his jacket and cowering her naked body before kissing her forehead.
"Saph, stay here a bit longer. I'll be right back," he then turned to Caine with the iciest look he ever had.
"Tell your man to fall back, I don't care if I kill them in the meantime," was the only warning he gave before heading to those vampires ahead. Three seconds were all the time Caine had to warn them as they all moved before the group of thirty man faced the wrath of one Vampire. Of Elemental.
"He coming to play with us, how nice of him," one said.
"He can't possibly think to beat us all," shouted another.
"Let's show him what were made of before we get that girl..." just as the first one said that, he stopped. The rest of them felt the cold breeze before the guy's head fell from his neck, cut in a perfect line.
"Shut up, you have no right to say a word," Marcus lowly said from afar before rising his head for them to see his completely white eyes.
"What the fúck is..." he didn't give them time to reach before he dashed towards one and slammed him to the ground. Second later, the whole ground in radius of few metres cracked. He rose up and stared at the rest of them before the guy he punched started burning. Slamming the ground with one leg, a piece of it rose before he used his leg to punch it right in the guy who stood ahead crushing his head completely.
"You're all Deadmen," he said without any feeling itched to his voice as he started killing each of them by firstly beating them and then burning them alive. Rage couldn't even compare to what was he feeling at the moment, the feeling was on a much different level than that.
Everyone from Caine's group just watched from afar, no one dared to remove their gaze from the scenario for that would mean disrespect for the pain and anger Marcus felt.
"Wh-what's going on?" Saphyr asked and Alex, remembering her being alone, nuzzled in her as she fell to her knees. She wrapped her wolfish body protectively around her before she said in a soft voice trying to hide a surprise and terror she saw. How can someone have that much power?
"Marcus is... Protecting you, he'll come soon," and at that moment all heads snapped to her. Werewolves in their wolf form don't speak, no matter the circumstances.
"Is he okay?" she asked for she could not see.
Alex glanced at him who now had fire erupting from his arms ad he killed another guy. He's definitely okay.
"He is, he's strong remember? Trust him, okay?" she replied instead. The less Saphyr knows of this side of Marcus, the better. She almost thanked the higher force for Saphyr not being able to see him like this.
"Okay, sorry," she mumbled as she clutched herself in Azra's fur that was really long and warm.
Saphyr wondered why she even doubted the man she somewhat respected more than she also feared, he was strong. After all, he came for her.
"He, he's a monster!" another vampire screamed as he started to run away, but one glance was all it took Markus to bend air thick enough to cut his body in two killing him like he killed the first one.
"Just what is he?" Alex asked Caine through their mind-link. And it was just one word he replied with.
"Elemental."
The way he said it and the way his eyes followed Marcus' movement with regret made her not probe into the question too far, for that was not an answer he wanted to explain right now.
By the time he finished, there wasn't a single drop of blood on him, while they, on the other hand, we're all long dead. His breathing returned to normal and he started walking to his mate, he wanted to feel her, to protect her, to make her know that she's safe now. And he sure as hell will.
"Alright, we can go home," he said once he kneeled down in front of her again.
"Okay," she sleepily mumbled snuggling closer in Alex's fur. She really wanted to sleep. She slowly unwrapped her body from Saphyr letting Marcus pick her up and take care of her.
She and Marcus both knew that it was just the matter of time before she'll finally break down in tears, yet they both hoped that it won't come to that, but one does not stay sane after being attacked and blinded, not the one as innocent as Saph.
"We're going home now," he said as Alex slowly walked towards Caine. She didn't know what to do nor how to shift back, so she just sat down infront of him and whined.
"How do I turn back?" she asked him and his head snapped at her realizing that she spoke again.
"Easily, I'll explain it all later, well as much as I know, but until then, let's go home. Come," he gave her his hand and she slowly headed towards it while her fur started retrieving in her skin.
Without even noticing it, she was back in her human form standing in front of him very, very naked.
"Huh, what?" she asked noticing it and he suddenly hissed before grabbing her in his arms and started running back, before she even had a chance to process what's going on. He was moving at vampiric speed and just as she was about to ask what was he doing, he realized.
She was very, very naked indeed, and there were many, many males.
She was about to complain when reality hit her so hard that she was left speechless. She was almost taken back to him, it was pure luck that she somehow became what she did and that she got to Saphyr just in time.
For that, she only closed her eyes hugging Caine as she welcomed his embrace, no matter the reason behind it. She truly was grateful that she was with Caine instead of him.
But what terrified her more than anything that happened so far was Marcus' cold when he killed all those guys.
