Ellie couldn't believe that she asked Ricky to Homecoming and she was even more surprised that he said yes. The next day she told her mom and was freaking out about everything. Her mom calmed her down and after they went dress shopping she felt a little better.

After getting the dress, her mom did her makeup and her hair. Before she knew it, the doorbell rang.

" I got it!" Andrew yelled as he ran to the door.

He wasn't going to Homecoming because honestly dances weren't his thing, and he didn't have a date so he didn't see the point in going.

He also wanted to answer the door because he wanted to make sure that Ricky wasn't going to try anything with his little sister. He's not going to threaten Ricky...okay, he might just a little bit, but can you blame him? This is the first time his little sister is going out with a boy and he thinks he's more worried about this than their mom is.

While he answered the door downstairs, upstairs Clara was helping her daughter out with the finishing touches and soon they were done.

" Sweetheart, you look great. You shouldn't be worried about anything." she reassures her daughter.

Ellie looks at herself in the full length mirror. She decided on a short dress, black top and a floral design on the bottom half of the dress. Her mom curled her hair and she just decided on wearing simple black flats for the shoes since she knew she would break something if she wore heels.

Ellie takes a shaky breath. " I hope you're right."

Clara smiles. " I know I'm right. Now, come on. Let's go before your brother scares him away."

They walk out of her room and Ellie walks down the stairs to see her brother talking with Ricky.

She rolls her eyes. " Okay, Andy, you can stop threatening him now."

" I'm not threatening him! I'm just making sure he won't hurt and if he did he will knows what will happen to him." Andrew said as he turned around and his eyes widened as he saw her.

" Wow." both Andrew and Ricky said as Ellie walked over to them and stood besides her brother.

" What?" she nervously asks. " Is it too much? I knew it was too much, I-"

" You look beautiful." Ricky stops her from rambling and she looks at him. She smiles and bows her head, hoping that no one could see her blush.
" Thanks."

She looks back at him and smiles.
" You look handsome."

Now it was Ricky's turn to blush and he shyly shrugs his shoulders.
" Thanks."

" Okay, I want pictures!" Clara exclaimed as she walked down the stairs.

After countless pictures Ellie's mom took of them they finally headed off to Homecoming. Minutes later they arrived at the school and got their tickets they had bought and walked inside. 

" Hey, guys, you look great!" Big Red smiles as he walks over to them.

" Thanks, you too." Ellie tells him.

The three of them walk over to the table where they were supposed to sit at. " Hey, guys." Trevor waves at them.

Carlos smiled. " You all look fabulous."

Avalon nods agreement as she looks at Ellie and Ricky. " Yeah. And I didn't know you two were going together, but I'm glad you are. You look great together."

They both shyly smile at him and at the same time they say, " Thanks."

" You look great as well guys." Ellie said to Trevor and Avalon who went together and they smiled at her.

They all sat down and Ellie took some selfies with Ashlyn and Carlos while Ricky and Big Red watched them.

" I can't believe this." Ricky says." This is crazy that he came here with Gina just after he and Nini broke up." he shows Ellie and Big Red the picture of Gina and EJ.

" I mean, you did take a lesson from that by going with Ellie." Big Red says to him.

Ricky stares at him. " Are you defending him now?"

" It just means that you both are moving on and that's fine." Ellie shrugs her shoulders. " Gina seems like a nice person. When she isn't trying to kill me with crazy dance moves."

" Yeah, that girl has crazy moves." Avalon agrees.

" The real point is, you did this thing with your dad. You guys got yourself out there again and this time stay out there with Ellie. You two are good together. Everything is good." Big Red smiles and Ellie blushes as he says that.

" Speak of the devil." Ricky said as his phone buzz's with a notification. Ellie looks over seeing a selfie of Ricky's dad.

" He's asking me for fashion advice. Me!" he says in disbelief and Ellie chuckles.

" Excuse us."

They look over to see Gina and EJ. Gina smiled. " These seats taken?"

" No, they're not. You can sit there if you want." Ellie smiles at them.

Gina smiles. " Thanks." she sits next to Ellie while EJ sits next to.

" You look amazing Gina." Ellie smiles. She looks over at EJ. " You look great as well, EJ."

" Thanks." Gina and EJ both say, but Gina's sounded more happy than EJ's did.

Ellie hoped that Gina was starting to be her friend more, and she believes she was as they engaged in a conversation and got to know each other more.

" He's going to show up." Ashlyn assures Carlos who was upset about Seb being late. " Maybe he's just stuck in traffic."

Ellie shakes her head. " That's impossible because we live in Salt Lake City where traffic isn't a thing." she immediately regrets saying that realizing that it probably made Carlos feel more upset, but Carlos seemed to agree as he says, " There hasn't been traffic since the 2002 Winter Olympics."

" Can you get me some punch, babe?" Gina asks as she turns to EJ.

Ellie stares at them with shock and confusion. She didn't think that they were together. EJ also looked at Gina with confusion, but he still got up and went to get the punch for her anyways.

" Um, I think I'm gonna go get some as well." Ellie stands up from her seat.
" Anyone need any?"

She got the old cups of whoever wanted some and went to go get new ones. After getting new ones, she filled them up with the punch and it was only then she realized she wasn't going to be able to carry four cups without spilling.

" You need any help?"

She looked over her shoulder, surprised to see that it was EJ who asked that and he had a small smile on his face.

She smiled whenever she realized he was being genuine. " Yeah, I just realized I can't carry all of this without making a mess."

He chuckles. " Well, it's a good thing I came to the rescue then."

Ellie slowly nods, not really knowing what to say at the moment. " Yeah.." she says while picking up two of the cups.

" I know things were awkward between us before, which I'm not even for sure why it was awkward. And I know that you and Ricky are close, but I was just thinking it would be nice if we could be friends 'cause then maybe things won't be weirdly awkward." EJ said as he picked the other two cups up of punch while Ellie stared at him with shock.

She was shocked that he wanted to be her friend and actually made an effort. A small smile forms on her face. " I think being friends would be nice."

EJ looks at her with surprise.
" Really?"

Ellie nods. " Yeah. I mean, you seem like a good person, maybe just doing things for the wrong reasons. But yes, I would like to be friends with you."

EJ smiled. " Well, I'm glad to hear that."

The two new friends walked over to the table, noticing Gina taking off for some reason, probably looking for Gina. They gave the cups filled with punch to whoever they belonged and EJ went after Gina.

Ellie looks over at everyone to see that they were at a loss of words which confused her. " What happened?"

" You're gonna wanna sit down to here this." Ricky said while Ellie sits next to him, ready for him to tell her what happened.
