Chapter 22 - Kidnapped, Again

"(I'm being kidnapped,)" Sans said, "(Again.)"

He crossed his arms and huffed, glaring at the shaking doors of the white van. They were driving too fast to jump out, but Sans was considering it anyway. At this point he's been kidnapped two times, which was twice as many as the average person, much less zombie, should be kidnapped.

They didn't really have much time to react before they had been shoved into a white van. It wasn't a one person job now, no. There had been several people, all armed with large looking guns and wearing government looking clothing, that had dragged Jeff and Sans in. From the front, before they had started the engine, Sans could hear their conversation.

Basically, Sans and Jeff were the bait. For what, he didn't know, but they were the bait for... something. If anything, he'd guess Jane, because she was the only way people would want to kidnap them. Unless Sans had a bunch of other people he also didn't remember.

"(I already found my friends from before I turned,)" Sans said, looking at Jeff. "(These yours?)"

"(I don't think so, I don't remember having a group of armed soldiers know me.)" Jeff ran his hands through his hair. "(What should we do?)"

"(Well, we both know that Frisk is the reason we stepped into that trap, so they're definitely involved somehow,)" Sans said.

A bump on the road, no doubt a body, sent both of the zombies tumbling in the back of the large white van. Frankly, not the best situation, but at least they weren't tied up. That would have been far worse, in his opinion.

"(How did Frisk even find these people?)" Sans asked, "(And who are they?)"

"(You think I know?)" Jeff asked.

"(I don't know!)" Sans said, "(Here, I'll call Jane, she'll be able to help us out.)"

Sans clicked on his phone, messaging Jane that he was being kidnapped. He couldn't wait for her response. After she took control of their town, and when Sans was first kidnapped, Jane proved that she could use her knife in any situation. He loved that about her. Sans honestly was excited to see these people get beaten, and he couldn't wait until-

Until she blocked him.

"(Jane blocked me.)"

Jeff snapped his head up, looking at Sans with wide blue eyes. Sans himself was too distracted by his phone's screen to reply, blinking his eye sockets to see if his sight was lying to him.

"(Why did-)" Sans asked, looking up. "(Check your phone, did she block you too?)"

Jeff complied, pulling out his own phone and clicking on a few contacts. After a moment of observing, he turned the screen around, showing Sans. Jane blocked him as well.

"(Why would Jane block both of us?)" Jeff asked, "(Is she mad at us?)"

"(I don't think so. You and I both know she'd probably just punch you if she was mad at you, Jane doesn't resort to being petty online, she doesn't like hiding behind screens.)"

"(So why are we blocked?)" Jeff asked.

"(Well... we were just kidnapped, and if we were blocked by her we couldn't tell the strongest of our group that we were being kidnapped,)" Sans said, "(And we had one new vistor today that also led us here.)"

"(Frisk,)" They both said at the same time.

Neither of them seemed to had noticed they stopped, as the sudden flooding of light catching both zombies off guard. Sans could barely react before the phone was yanked out of his hand, being thrown against the ground and ultimately shattering against the concrete.

"(My phone!)" Sans gurgled.

Jeff had the same fate before both males were dragged out of the van, Sans trying to pull away from whoever was holding him. It seemed useless, as he was easily overpowered, being dragged away to wherever he was being taken.

~~~~~~
"So."
Jane walked into the living room, her arms crossed, belt filled to the brim with her several knives. They clinked with her movement, obviously she had been training, evident by the sweat clinging to her white skin.
"Hello-"
"Who blocked Sans on my phone?" Jane cut through Toriel's response.
"Whatttt?" Ben asked.
"I went to do my knife training, to make sure I'm skill good with my accuracy," Jane said, holding up her phone, "And I came back to find Sans blocked on my phone when I wanted to ask what time he was getting back. I then went to message Jeff, and he was blocked. Conveniently when both of them are out."
Everyone was silent, confused by the sudden announcement. Ben was the only one who moved, pulling out his computer to see if he could track their phones.
"What do you mean?" Toriel asked, "Did you accidentally block them?"
"No, I'm not stupid," Jane said, "My phone was tampered with, likely by one of you. Who did it?"
"We wouldn't have blocked Sans and Jeff from your phone!" Papyrus said.
"If no one fesses, I am going to start stabbing people," Jane said.
"Please, calm your temper," Toriel said, holding out her paws. "This is going too far."
"Do you even realize the situation right now?" Jane asked, "Sans is a short skeleton with no weapon, can't use his magic, doesn't remember half of his memories still, and can barely fight back. He's out there right now, as a zombie who's targeted by any survivor, with only one other zombie without any access to communicate with me. So, excuse me, how exactly am I supposed to react?"
"Not by threatening everyone in here, that's for sure," Toriel said.
"Actuagggllyyy, goooddd responsh," Ben said, "You aallllllll are suspecgs, we dunnnnnn know whooooo did it."
"He's right," Jane said, "I'm threatening you all because you're the suspects, and I want answers. Ben wouldn't have blocked them, nor would Sally have. That leaves you guys." She then looked at Toriel. "And you're being awfully defensive about this."
"Are you claiming I did it?" Toriel asked.
"Shut up," Undyne hissed, "And let the girl talk, or you'll end up on a wall like me."
"I wouldn't waste trivial time hanging Toriel, I would just kill her," Jane said, "I only let you guys here for Sans, I find others to be repulsive in your system, beliefs, and personalities. Except Papyrus. Stay good, Papyrus."
"Oh, thank you!" Papyrus said.
"Sanssssss phone... goneghh."
"What?" Jane asked Ben.
"It'sssss... goneeeeee. Destroyghed," Ben said, pointing to the screen. "Can't... traguh."
"So Sans and Jeff's phones just also so happen to be destroyed?" Jane asked, crossing her arms. "I don't think this is an accident, this was staged. Someone in here made sure Sans couldn't contact me and now his phone is gone."
"I swear, it wasn't me!" Undyne was quick to defend herself, probably not wanting a repeat of what happened.
"No, you wouldn't be that stupid to try and kidnap Sans from me again," Jane said, looking around. "None of you would, since you already can visit him. No, there's only one of you don't have his wellbeing in mind."
Jane than turned her head towards Frisk, arms crossed. Everyone followed her gaze, confused.
"It was you," Jane asked.
"I don't know what you mean," The child said quickly.
"I think you forgot something," Jane said, "I'm not braindead like these people. I know a faker. You aren't Frisk, and you aren't a good person. Who are you?"
"First you attack us all, threaten Asgore's rule, and now insult my child?" Toriel asked, standing up. "I refuse to tolerate this."
"The doors right there." Jane pointed, "No one is stopping you from leaving. You can not tolerate it outside."
"Don't you guys see what she's doing? This girl is crazy!" Toriel said, turning towards the other monsters. "She's a threat towards us!"
"I'm a threat towards people who are a danger to me and the people I care about," Jane said. Her hands rested on her hips. "Undyne kidnapped Sans, of course I'm going to fight back. Asgore's Kingdom is a threat to my town when you mindlessly shoot zombies, the very people I'm protecting. Survivors are the most dangerous enemy of zombies, who are under my protection, do you really think I'd trust any of you? Especially after how you crashed my date with Sans and could have shot him? I may dislike you all, but that's not my sole reason to why I threaten you. I have a very good cause for concern, and instead of complying, you fight back." Jane turned towards the door. "I suggest you leave. It's obvious you care about that child more than my boyfriend. I don't want to keep people around who may be a risk towards Sans."
"I'm worried about Sans just as much as you are, but blaming a child?" Toriel asked, "On no evidence?"
"If you were worried about Sans, you'd let me explain properly without jumping to defense," Jane said, "I don't make claims without something, not like you. Leave."
"I'm not-"
A knife flashed across the room, imbedding itself into the wall next to Toriel.
"That wasn't a suggestion this time." Jane crossed her arms. "You've shown where you concern yourself, and our goals are rather different." She then turned to Frisk. "Take them with you."
~~~~~~

"The absolute nerve of that woman!" Toriel said, "No one can just parade around and claim leadership like that, much less declare a single child guilty without any proof." She ran her paws over her ears. "Frisk, you are a sweet child, and she can't go mindlessly belittling us and making false claims."

Frisk didn't respond, continuing to walk behind Toriel, on their phone.

"What kind of evidence would she have, anyway?" Toriel asked, "I wouldn't have minded listening, but thinking a child could have done all of this? Please."

"Thanks for your help, Mom."

That was the last thing she heard before Toriel was being stabbed from behind, dropping to the ground as her dust spread out. Frisk stood behind her, bouncing the knife she had stolen as she watched Toriel's clothes flutter about.

"If you had listened, she probably would have told you I stole one of her knives while she was training," Frisk said, blinking their red eyes at the pile. "She probably knew you wouldn't believe her, though. Best not to waste her breath."

That was the thing about Toriel. She always believed children were first before anyone else, while Jane wasn't one for children. It created a standstill between them, that if they had probably explained, they could have come to the rightful conclusion that Frisk had been on Jane's phone earlier. Oh well.

"You guys have them?" Frisk called out.

A van pulled out from behind the building. One of several. It wasn't the one that they had used to kidnap the two zombies, as that was back at their base, along with Jeff and Sans.

"Yes," They said, "Did you leave the note?"

"On Jane's handbag," Frisk said.

They walked over and pulled open the door, climbing in besides the human.

"Good," The scientist said, "Time to start the experiments than, Chara?"

"I am," Chara said, grinning to them. "I'll become the most powerful person in the world, and even Jane won't be able to stop me."
