LANIE WAS IN HER BED, messily throwing the feather-filled beige pillow over her head, the aggravating sound of her alarm clock making her even more annoyed by the second. Ever since the breakup with Robby, Lanie has been sulking in her bed every hour of the day and Tyler was getting sick of it.

He wanted his baby sister to live out her teenage years, instead of worrying about boys (even though he did the exact same thing as a teen).

"Lanes, can you please get out of bed? It's nearly six p.m." Tyler waited for his sister to respond, but all he received was a muffled grunt, indicating that he should go away, but did he listen? No.

He went up to his sulking sister and pulled the blankets off of her body, immediate chills being sent down her bare skin. Lanie groaned in annoyance and attempted to grab her other blanket, but before she could, Tyler picked her up bridal style and took her down the stairs into the living room and plopped Lanie down onto the sofa. Both Tyler and his boyfriend sat on the other sofa, looking like they were about to interrogate the girl.

"Lanie it's been three days since your breakup and I understand that you have to let out your emotions, but we're worried. You haven't been eating."

Lanie sighed and avoided eye contact, not wanting to see the worried looks from the boys in front of her. The dark discoloration under Lanie's eyes certainly didn't go unnoticed by her brother and that's when he and Carlos knew they had to talk to her.

"It's not like I have an appetite right now," Lanie muttered softly under her breath. "Can I please go back to my room?"

"No. We are not done talking yet." Before Lanie could speak up and make another excuse for her escape, her phone rang, and she let out a sigh of relief, being saved by the bell.

Lanie got a text from Sam asking if she can go over to her house, and despite her questioning the friendship between the LaRusso, she thought it'd be a better idea than to be interrogated by her brother and his boyfriend.

"It's Sam. She needs me right now. Okay, bye!" Lanie said quickly and immediately snatched her lanyard from the hook on the door. She put on her pink checkered Vans and got into her car, driving to the LaRusso's house for certainly a night to remember.

Lanie stood at the front door of the LaRusso's house, knocking on the front door gently, waiting for someone to answer it. After a few seconds, she saw Sam and the front door, a small smile tugged on the edge of her lips.

Lanie gave her an awkward smile and Sam stepped to the side so she could walk through the door.

"Thank you for coming, Lanie. Despite everything that has happened, I hope we can manage to stay as acquaintances."

"Sam, I was mad at you for what you did, I really was, but I'm not the person to hold grudges." Lanie's soft smile was contagious to Sam and they both took their seats on the sofa's wondering how they were going to form an alliance with each other.

For another ten minutes, the teens were slowly figuring out a stable plan for the alliances of their dojos. Lanie felt awkward, knowing she was in Cobra Kai but didn't want to tell the other teens. At least not yet.

But the sudden sounds of a cat meowing made all heads turn, and Bert went up to the door,  attempting to grab the cat, but he was suddenly thrown through the window, glass shards flying everywhere onto the tiles.

"Bert are you okay?" Lanie instantly went to the boy's side, her motherly instincts kicking in.

"No cat." Walking through the door was Hawk and the rest of the Corba Kai's. On the other side of the house, Tory walked in and she stared at Lanie sadly, not sure if she could trust her.

Suddenly, punches and kicks were being thrown into the air and Lanie was, unfortunately, facing Hawk, meaning she had to fight him.

"I don't want to hurt you, princess."

"What did I say about you calling me that, Eli?" Lanie knew that Hawk was sensitive about his birth name and she also knew it was going to get under his skin, so Lanie used this as an advantage and struck first, hitting him hard in the stomach. He stumbled back slightly, a malicious smile slowly creeping onto his face.

"Is that all you got, princess?"

"Not even close, Eli." Both teens struck first and Hawk got the advantage by sweeping her legs, his body now on top of hers. He pinned her wrists onto the hardwood flooring and did nothing. He was simply staring into her eyes, making Lanie furrow her eyebrows in confusion.

"Wake up, Lanie."

"What the hell are you talking about? What do you mean?" Lanie was completely confused. She stared around her surroundings and her heart dropped, seeing that everything around her was gleaming white and the divine light was starting to fill her vision, everyone's voices echoing in her head.

"Lanie, I said wake up!" She gasped for air, not sure what was happening to her body. It felt as if an electric shock was being jolted in her body, everything starting to feel energized once again.

And that's when Lanie finally woke up.

DECEMBER 19TH WAS THE DAY Lanie woke up from her four-month coma. During her time in the dreaded unconscious state, Lanie was still able to hear the familiar voices of her friends and family. They would tell her everything, from the very first day of her coma, even until today, the day when Lanie's friends were fighting in the LaRusso household.

When Robby got out of juvie, he went to visit the hospital every day, talking to his girlfriend about his day, hoping that she would wake up when he would be there. But as every morning and night slipped by, Robby was slowly losing hope, his mind reluctantly drifting to the thought that Lanie may never wake up.

He would cry himself to sleep every night, thinking about the forbidden thought of the doctor's pulling the plug on Lanie.

But tonight changed everything.

Currently, Robby was at the Cobra Kai dojo, glaring intently at his dad and Daniel. Everything in his mind was being turned into slush. First, Robby fought his father and his forehead was gashed open, and now, his phone was incessantly buzzing with multiple text messages.

Even though the timing was extremely inappropriate, Robby pulled out his phone, and his eyes widened when he got a text message from his girlfriend's brother.

Tyler.

Robby, Lanie is awake. Get to the hospital now.

Robby swore his heart stopped for a second as his eyes widened in emotions that he couldn't even fathom right now. Everyone stared at Robby with concern, pushing aside the karate rivalry that was happening. When they saw Robby's petrified facial expression, they knew something was wrong.

"Robby, what's wrong?" Daniel asked. Robby slowly lifted his head up, a tear of joy slipping down his rosy cheeks. He wasn't sure if it was the blood on his forehead or the tears, but Robby didn't care now. His girlfriend was awake.

"Lanie is awake." Everyone's eyes widened, even Kreese's and before anyone else could say another word, Robby grabbed his skateboard that was leaning on the side of the wall in the dojo and immediately skated off to the hospital. He was still in his gi and his forehead was still bleeding, but he did not care at all.

The cold night wind was certainly an obstacle, but Robby was too ecstatic. His pumping blood and bouncing adrenaline was keeping him warm. It didn't take long for Robby to arrive at the hospital and he instantly ran inside, desperately sprinting to the room that he visited every day.

The nurses kept yelling for Robby, but he didn't listen at all. He ran into Lanie's room and that's when he saw her.

There she was, his pride and joy sitting up, with the familiar bright smile that always lit up the darkest nights. Lanie stood still for several seconds, meeting the emerald green eyes that she adored with all of her heart.

But that smile faltered instantly, making Robby feel worried and protective for his girl. He went up to her side and gently grabbed her hand. "Baby, what's wrong?" Robby asked worriedly.

"Your head! What happened? Are you okay? You should get it checked out—"

"Sweetheart, I love you, but honestly I could honestly care less about my forehead right now. The most important person in my life is awake and I feel like I'm the happiest man ever."

"Yeah, but it's bleeding pretty badly, what happened?" Tyler and Carlos took this as their queue to leave and once they left, Robby swiftly leaned in and gave Lanie the most passionate and love-filled kiss they ever shared. Once they pulled away, Lanie stared at Robby, admiring his new haircut.

"I love your new hair. It's sexier than the last one, to be honest." Robby smirked mischievously and pecked Lanie's lips one more time before weaving his fingers through his blonde locks.

"I guess that means you cant call me Dora anymore."

"Oh, trust me, I'm going to find more beautiful nicknames for you soon," Lanie said as a matter of factly. Both teens laughed, but that was cut short when Robby saw the concerned look on Lanie's face.

"What is it, sweetheart?"

"I do recall some conversations when people would talk to me during the coma, but I do remember having this one vivid dream. About us." Robby stared into Lanie's eyes and saw the uneasiness, so he gently caressed her hands and placed a gentle kiss on them, easing her anxiety slightly.

"What was it about?"

"We broke up," Lanie said softly, but Robby heard her clearly and his eyes furrowed. Robby shook his head incredulously, simply cringing at the absurd thought. He wasn't sure why Lanie would have a dream like this, but he knew that he would never break up with Lanie.

"What? Honey, you know just thinking about me breaking up with you is making my head hurt, even more than this gash. I promise you, you have nothing to worry about. I love you so much, Lanie." Robby saw the tears that were filling down Lanie's cheeks and he saw the sad smile, but he knew that it was filled with reassurance.

"I love you, Robby. You have no idea how happy I am that you are here right now." Robby pressed a firm kiss on Lanie's lips, the feeling of euphoria escaping their bodies. Robby's hands crawled their way to Lanie's cheeks and he pressed multiple kisses all over her face, peppering his coconut-cherry chapstick all over her skin, the sticky feeling making Lanie cringe, but in a good way.

"Woah, I just got the weirdest deja vu. It feels like you did that to me before," Lanie said, referring to the way Robby was kissing her face.

"Well, I know for a fact I haven't done that to you except for today, which was the first time. But be prepared for the future, baby, I'm about to fill your face with chapstick, you won't even need moisturizer." Lanie laughed at her boyfriend's humor and scooted over so Robby can lie down next to her body.

Both Lanie and Robby couldn't be any happier with the state that they were in right now. Lanie's worried thoughts about Robby breaking up with her were completely false and were simply a dream. Robby's fear of Lanie not waking up was also a lie, now that he was laying with the love of his life, listening to her calm heartbeat.

Both teenagers were happy, but the question is, how long will this happiness last?
