AFTER NEARLY A MONTH OF being in the hospital, Lanie was up and on her feet as if the whole school fight ordeal didn't happen. Four months was a long time for the girl to miss out on events and Lanie felt out of the loop whenever she was with her friends.

But Robby was at her side at all times, reassuring her that he was there for her and Lanie felt so grateful to have a boyfriend to care about her like this.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Lanie? If you really don't want to, you don't have to." Lanie held Robby's hand tightly, standing at the front door of the familiar dojo she desired, yet missed at the same time.

"I'm sure, Robby. Plus, during my coma, something kept telling me that Cobra Kai seemed to be the answer to my problems. Hopefully my instincts are right."

At first, Robby was incredibly reluctant for Lanie to get back into intensive activities such as karate, so when she first said she wanted to join Cobra Kai, he instantly said no. But when Lanie didn't give him kisses for six hours, he unwillingly gave in to his girlfriend.

"Okay, but I'm not going to let you do anything extensive. If I see you do a roundhouse, I'm going to tie you down on my lap so you're not going to move anywhere." At the words 'tie-up,' Lanie's eyebrows raised with intrigue, releasing a laugh after seeing the look on Robby's face.

"So...you want to tie me up?" Lanie asked in a low and mischievous voice. Robby pulled Lanie's waist closer to him and caressed her left cheek with his hand.

"You know it, sweetheart." Robby leaned in and placed a kiss on her soft lips. Her rosy pink lips were gliding across Robby's slightly chapped ones and he subtly slid his tongue on her lips, tasting Lanie's new chapstick.

"Mmm, is that honey lemon I taste?"

"You know it, lover." Placing one last peck on his lips, the teens entered the Cobra Kai dojo, walking into the backroom where Robby had his domestic setup. Lanie didn't know why Robby decided to stay at Cobra Kai and she wanted to let her boyfriend stay over at her house, but he declined the offer.

Lanie looked at Robby's little setup and she smiled softly, seeing a picture of both her and her boyfriend in a rose gold plated frame next to his sleeping bag. She picked it up and grazed her finger against the cold metallic framing, outlining the details in the picture.

"Why do you have this with you?"

"Because I can admire my girlfriend at all times," Robby joked, but then his face turned into a serious demeanor. "But seriously, when you were in the coma and when I got out of juvie, I didn't know if you were going to wake up or not, Lanie. I stared at this picture every night, crying myself to sleep, begging God that you would wake up."

Lanie stared at her boyfriend with sadness. Her eyes faltered and her lips quivered in guilt. She grabbed Robby's hands in hers, making him put down the picture frame.

"Robby, words can't explain how guilty I feel for making you go through this pain. If only I paid attention to that boy, then I wouldn't have put you in this position—"

"Stop. Do not blame yourself. None of this was your fault, Lanie. It was that son of a bitch, Parker. Did I ever mention to you that I beat him up in juvie?" Lanie's eyes widened, shaking her head but she was certainly intrigued.

"No, no, you didn't tell me this. You mean the boy that hit me, he had to go to juvie, and was in the same room as you? God, I hate to see how he looks now," Lanie joked lightly, hoping to brighten the dim mood. Robby snickered and nodded his head.

"Yeah, I got some good hits in him, not going to lie."

The couple continued to talk for another couple of hours, which eventually led to Lanie sleeping in Robby's lap. Her head was in his lap and Robby's fingers were weaving in her chestnut blonde locks, smiling at the sight of his beautiful sleeping girlfriend.

When Lanie was asleep, she didn't hear the conversation that Robby and Kreese had, completely oblivious to what was about to come her way. Lanie stayed in her slumber for another two hours, up until she heard Robby raise his voice at someone, causing Lanie to wake up.

Lanie wiped her eyes, squinting them from the harsh light, but was able to see Robby and Tory talking to each other. Robby looked over to his girlfriend and instantly went over to greet her after her short slumber.

"Hey, sleepyhead, I'm sorry if I woke you up. Did you sleep well?" Lanie nodded her head sleepily with a soft smile and turned her attention to see Tory standing in front of her.

"Robby, is that Tory, or am I still dreaming?" Robby chuckled at his girlfriend's humor and rubbed her arm slightly.

"She's here, sweetheart." Lanie gasped in excitement and instantly stood up, hugging the girl in front of her. Tory was caught off guard slightly but allowed Lanie to hug her. Tory even hugged her back.

"Hey girl, I missed you so much. How are you feeling?" Tory asked in genuine concern.

"I'm well. Have a little headache, but I'm fine—"

"Wait you have a headache? Are you feeling okay? Do you need painkillers? I'll go to the store right now if—"

"–Robby! I'm fine, I promise," Lanie said with laughter laced in her soft voice. She loved the way Robby was protective of her, but ever since she left the hospital, Robby has been acting like a helicopter parent, watching Lanie's every move to make sure she was okay.

"Okay, okay, I'm just making sure."

"But Robby, think about what I said," Tory said as she left the backroom of the dojo. Lanie had a look of confusion on her face and she looked towards her boyfriend, waiting for answers.

"We have a lot to talk about, sweetheart."

Lanie was sitting at one of the benches at the skatepark, reading one of her favorite books while Robby rode his skateboard. The sun was starting to set and Lanie felt like she couldn't be in a better place.

She had her boyfriend at her side, along with her favorite book, and the beautiful orange-tinted sunset radiating on her face. She basked in the warm light and took in a deep breath, closing her eyes in peace.

But that peace was suddenly interrupted by an abrupt voice.

"You know you are so beautiful," Robby said out of nowhere, making Lanie jump in her seat. She smacked his arm forcefully, making the boy wince.

"Jesus, don't sneak up on me like that."

"Sorry, sweetheart. I couldn't help myself." Robby embraced Lanie in a tight hug, his sweat sticking onto her already dewy skin and Lanie tried to back out of his grasp, but he was too strong.

"No, Robby you're too sweaty," Lanie said, but the boy didn't listen. He continued to rub his sweaty face on Lanie's cheeks and she sighed in defeat.

"If you don't stop right now, I will not kiss you for a week." The way that instantly made Robby back away from Lanie was almost humorous, seeing how he scooted away from her, giving her adequate space.

"Now that's just wicked, lady," Robby said in a sassy tone. Lanie stuck out her tongue playfully and she smiled brightly when she saw the familiar dimples that appeared on Robby's face.

"You know you love me," Lanie said as a matter of factly. Robby nodded his head instantly, no even lying about that.

"You're not wrong." Lanie pecked Robby's cheek gently before he went back to his skating. Lanie was so engulfed in her book, she didn't even notice that Robby was talking to Sam.

And Robby was thankful that Lanie didn't know Sam was here, not wanting his girlfriend to hear the harsh words he was going to tell the LaRusso girl. Sam was trying to convince Robby to join her dojo and the boy scoffed in disbelief.

"First of all, you can't just bat your eyes at me and expect a 'yes.' Second, there's no way in hell I'm going to leave Lanie for your karate rivalry. If you ever think I was going to betray my girlfriend, then you can leave right now," Robby said in a negligibly threatening tone, scaring Sam slightly.

"Lanie can join too."

"No, Lanie made her choice in joining Corba Kai and I'm going to support that, even if I have my own opinion. I'm going to be by her side, protecting her at all times and I'm not leaving her out of my sight. Thank you for your time, you can go now," Robby said, the last part of his sentence in a sarcastic matter.

"Okay, just remember, this was your choice." Robby did a gesture that screamed 'whatever' then skated off to his girlfriend, his pissed-off demeanor instantly faltering when she saw that Lanie gave him a bright smile and a wave.

Before Lanie could even talk, Robby sat down next to her and smashed his lips against hers. She was caught off guard at first, but kissed back, feeling the disparity in Robby's lips. This wasn't one of his soft passionate kisses, this kiss was rough, filled with eagerness.

"Woah, what was that for?" Lanie asked, still in shock from the kiss. Robby looked at her and grasped her hands and put them on his lap.

"I'm going to join Cobra Kai with you."

Lanie's eyes widened in surprise, wondering where this came from. She thought Robby was already trying to stay away from the dojos as it is, so this surprised Lanie.

"Wow, where did this come from?"

Robby didn't want to mention that Sam came, so he came up with a partial lie. "Just want to spend more time with my girlfriend."

Lanie wasn't too convinced with his answer, but she didn't pry. She was happy that her boyfriend was joining Cobra Kai with her and she wouldn't have it any other way.

"Well, I'm glad, because now, I am able to kick your ass all day." Robby scoffed sarcastically and dug his fingers gently into her ribs, knowing that's her most ticklish spot. Lanie laughed uncontrollably and her back was laying on the bench, Robby's body hovering over hers slightly.

"You wish, babe." Robby placed a delicate kiss on Lanie's lips and she rested her hands on Robby's strong bicep.

"I love you, my little pony." Robby looked at her and tilted his head slightly in confusion.

"I thought that nickname went away when I cut my hair?"

"Oh no, trust me, that name is never going away. It's going to stick with you for the rest of your life." Robby rolled his eyes playfully and patted Lanie's thigh repeatedly.

"Well as long as you're in my future, then I'm okay with it." Lanie sat up then leaned his head on Robby's shoulder. The couple sat in silence for a while until Robby spoke up again.

"I love you more, sweetheart. "
