Why do they compare me to the butterfly effect?

I have no rhyme.

But I am moved by the moon's rhythm.

I have no reason.

But I am here throughout every season.

I can be really tough.

But I am constantly beaten by nature.

I am what is left of stardust.

But I am a product of evolution.

I was once at its pinnacle.

But I have been reshaped by the environment.

I can be as smooth as silk.

But you can compare my ripple to cause and effect.
