The seasons move slowly and surely, progressing

as spring wakes up the world,

and summer ripens the living earth to maturity,

then Autumn reveals the harvest in red and golden glory.

I walk under trees once green and vibrant,

now leaves of summer at my feet,

a blanket for the coming rest,

As Autumn sings a lullaby.
