The Power of Imagination (Achievement #50 = 2 points) (imagination picture)

I'm struggling to keep up with the pace

How I wished this was not the case

It feels like I'm in a gruelling race

As my imagination gives chase

Occasionally I have lost my way and run aground

But got lucky, missed the rocks, only to hit sandbanks

There was no chance they would become my burial mound

I was saved by a vision coming to my rescue and said prayers of thanks

I often cheered out loud and punched the air

When inside my head the desired words would resound

To be sure, I always kept a pencil and paper, near my armchair

My target was in plain sight, and I write words that make me proud

Footnote: I think it is obvious, that this reflects my commitment level to this challenge, I had dropped behind and thought I'd never catch up, and now I'm less than a week behind my schedule. But what makes me proud is that in the main I've kept to my own standards, no shortcuts or excessive use of my favoured acrostics.
