Redlight, Greenlight: inside
"I'm seeing guards high and low." - Woods looks at the grey structure.
There are a bunch of soldiers down there, in front of the gate, wich we have to overcome to get inside.
"Choose your target." - he points his weapon.
To make things worse a military truck comes near the soldiers and now we have more people to eliminate before getting in.
"We can't get busted or we will alert all the soldiers around. And then... We'll be fucked up." - I wishper looking through the scope of my weapon.
"On your mark, Bell." - Woods says.
Is he letting me to be the leader?
Let's not mess up the mission, Bell.
I put the silencer on.
I hold my breath to stabilize my aim and pull the trigger.
The bullet penetrates the first soldier's head.
The second soldier jumps from the fear and looks around; I have to kill him before he screams.
I shoot him on his head but two more guard show up.
"Two more out of the truck." - Woods advises me.
They seem to look in our direction. Shit.
I pull the trigger and eliminate them.
"Seems no one noticed us, for now." - I say breathing again.
"Holy hell... where did you learn to shoot like that?" - Woods asks in shock.
I won't admit it but my hands are shaking because I'm so nervous to fail. Relax Bell.
"I learn it in army. But... haven't you already seen my abilities? I know we haven't been in mission together for months because of my surgery but before it we fought together, didn't we?" - I say smiling.
"Oh, right." - he seems confused.
Woods acts in a strange way but I decide to not pay attention.
"What are we gonna do now?"
"Take point and head down the slope. I'll hang back and cover."
"Are you serious?!" - I ask. "I won't make it, Woods."
"You're thinner than me and less visible. If things will start to be hard I will help you from here."
"But it's full of guards!"
"C'mon Bell, you have already done that, don't you remember? Back in Berlin you went through many streets full of nazi, without Adler."
My heart jumps.
Adler.
The memories from last night come to my mind and make me blush.
When I'm with him I feel more grown up and comfortable.
I wish he was here.
"Is that ok for you, Bell?" - Woods put an hand on my shoulder.
"Y-yeah."
"Alright. See you on the other side."
I slide down the slope till the road.
I give a look around. No one's coming, good.
There are only dead bodies and the truck.
"Snap pictures of anything that looks important. Maps, Blueprints. Whatever you can find." - Woods recommends through the radio.
"I have to be stealth and also snap pictures of their plans? Oh god." - I reply.
I can hear Woods laughing from down there.
I decide to go on but the main gate is locked. Typical.
I notice a big cabin on my right; the door is open. I go inside but there is nothing useful: a trash can, a television and...a sort of- map?
I take a photo of it. It's definitely the map of the mysterious structure.
Below the map there is something written.
"Glavnoia daroga..." - I read it.
"What?" - Woods asks through the radio. "How can you read Russian language?"
"I don't know, I just did it."
I'm surprised as him.
"I also know what it means: principal road-."
"Stop it. We have no time for this shit, Bell." - Woods suddenly becomes serious. "Just snap the picture and go ahead."
Why is he acting strange again? Did I say something wrong?
Let it go, Bell.
"Move into the base." - he orders.
I pick lock the other door in the cabin and end up in the enemies' territory.
Fuck, I'm inside!
The place is dark but full of soldiers and buildings. I'm closer to the grey structure.
"We don't have all night." - Woods says. "Find a way into the main building."
What's wrong with him?
I proceed on the grass and get closer to the first building. The lights inside are on.
I slowly reach the steps but a figure went out of the door. Shit!
If I run he will hear me but if I don't he will see me.
"I'll trail and disable the perimeter alarm." - Woods advices and kill the man from his position. "Got you covered."
"That was close." - I reply.
"Shit. A patrol is approaching me. Bell, find a way in. I'll follow around."
Good, now I have to deal with all of them alone. I go on and hide behind a truck.
I peek them and see many guards and a chopper right in front of me. Fortunately I'm on the dark side and not under the lights.
I keep following the perimeter, hiding behind everything I find.
My fortune didn't last long and I notice I have to overcome a bouncy of guards before getting through a gate and after into the main building Woods told me about.
I watch the movements of the nearest guard: he follows a specific road and then he turns back. I think I'm small enough to hide behind these boxes and that's what I do.
I wait him to turn back and then I go ahead without any noise.
I get closer to the gate, but not enough to enter in. Fortunately the most part of the soldiers are around the chopper, in the middle of the area.
I hear footsteps of a guard coming closer to me, so I hide behind a truck and wait him to go away.
When I'm slowly walking near the buildings I notice something written on the wall.
"Komnata nabliudenie? It means observation room. Wait, how can I read this language? I thought it was only luck!" - I wishper to myself.
If Woods was here he will surely gets angry but I can't tell him this.
Is my memory playing with me again?
I hope so because this is so fucking strange.
Maybe I should ask Adler what it means.
From my position I can clearly see the gate but there's another guard on the roof of a building.
"Shit." - I whisper.
If I won't be extra careful he will see me.
He goes on the right, then on the left of the roof's edge, but never back.
"They really thought about everything."
What to do, Bell...
Maybe if I quietly run till the building's wall he won't notice me and then I've only to follow the perimeter of the building till the gate so I won't expose myself.
I run when he turns on the left.
"Please God." - I wishper while I'm running.
If he shoots me with a sniper it's the end.
The guard raises his head, clearly confused: he has heard something.
I reach the wall while the soldier is looking around, searching the source of the sound.
I'm safe, for now. But if he decides to look down, after the edge, I'm dead.
I hear is footsteps becoming regular again: thank God he returned to walk right and left like nothing happened.
Following the perimeter of the building I go through the white gate on my right, wich has a big red star impressed on.
I end up in the other part of the area wich is similar as the other one.
The window is waving the Russian flag behind me and I start to shiver.
I wish Adler was here, so he could gave me his warm jacket-.
Oh please, stop it Bell. This is not the right time for it.
"The Reds are quite for now. But I've still no word a from Woods." - Park tells through the radio. Stay the course and get inside."
I raise my head and see the huge main building in front of me. I still can't believe it, I made it!
The area is smaller and darker than before, and no guards around.
I chopper flies above my head and a patrol on trucks are checking the outside perimeter so I hide behind a Red's truck and wait.
When they're gone I stand up and give a look around: no more soldiers.
I proceed and reach the door of the main building.
Everything is too quiet. How can Russians put so many guards on the enter but none here?
But before I can pick lock the golden door a Soviet soldier opens the door.
"Huh?" - he mumbles.
His face expression is confused and angry but mine is only scared.
I thought there weren't guards right near the door!
He pushes me on the floor and I hit my head.
I can see another Soviet soldier behind a desk in the room.
Then the man punches me in the face and my vision becomes red.
"Intruder!"- he screams pointing his gun on me.
