This is kind of showing the more casual relationship stuff between Y/N and Jimin, mostly to demonstrate that their relationship has changed now. After the last two chapters I feel like they really are at the next step now, you feel me?
Also this Jimin picture is so hot I stared at it for fifteen minutes straight before remembering I still had to edit the chapter.
~The Next Day || 9:30~
Eight days until your anniversary.
You panic at the thought, jumping off of the couch and holding a hand to your chest. "Woah, slow down there jumpy," Jimin teases from behind you. You let out a small sigh of relief. You slept on the couch much to Jimin's protests, but that doesn't stop him from waking up earlier than you.
You sniff the air, then let out a hum of satisfaction. "Whatcha making?" you cutely ask, turning around and spotting your man in the kitchen, standing in front of the electric stove.
"Hm, I thought I'd make a variety, I wasn't sure what you'd like. I put some fruit in a bowl if you'd like. Bananas, pears, apples, some grapes." He trails off, focusing on the pan in front of him. He's shirtless (of course) and wearing gray sweatpants. Your heart melts at the sight. These mornings with him truly make you happy. Beyond happy, to be honest. So, you walk into the kitchen, approaching him and back-hugging him.
He softly chuckles, leaning into your touch as you kiss his cheek. "What's that?" you ask, closing your eyes and resting your head against his skin.
"Flipping some pancakes. Hope you don't mind them being slightly burnt I'm still getting a hang of this thing. I haven't cooked in like... literally two years."
You give him a squeeze, "As long as it's made with love."
"And you get on me for being cringey and cheesy like Jin. What was that?" You giggle, shaking your head. You gently rock back and forth, and he rocks with you, softly humming as he finishes the pancakes. He made four, so two each.
Normally you aren't the biggest breakfast person. Because A) you hate waking up, let alone waking up early, and B) since your parents never made breakfast you didn't see a point. You pull back as he separates them onto two plates, and you let out a small moan of satisfaction at the smell. "Wow, you did a good job Jiminie."
"You say that now, but let's wait until we taste them."
You look over at your plate and notice scrambled eggs there as well. You're impressed. "You made eggs too?"
He hums, "As I said: variety. Wasn't sure what you'd like."
"What did I do in a past life to score you?" you joke as he hands you your plate.
He gives you a quick peck. "Maybe it wasn't your past life, maybe it was this life." You give him a doubtful look that he chuckles to. "Oh come on, leading Ganymede's military? How many lives did that save?"
"A lot," you mumble, which only makes him light up with more amusement.
"Come on, let's go sit down."
You bounce over to the couch again, plopping down and putting your plate on the table. He puts his plate down as well as the bowl of fruits, giving you a small smile. He gives you a fork and knife, and you quickly thank him. "TV?" you ask, and he shrugs.
"I haven't watched TV in a while, I don't see why not."
You gently lean into his side, then he goes still. "What's wrong?" you ask, panicking.
"I made a mistake," he whispers, looking down at you with wide eyes.
"What?"
He softly smiles, "I forgot the maple syrup. Brb."
You cringe at his use of the letters 'brb' as he hops up, walking over to the kitchen. "What do you want to watch?" you call as he searches through the cabinets, looking for the syrup.
"Anything, I'll let you choose." You shrug and grab the small screen remote on the table. It's a hologram, and you click it on. The remote and the TV come to life together, humming as they power up. The TV turns on and Ganymede sports are playing. Ganymede is known for soccer. You can't help but raise a brow as the crowds cheer. "Sports?" Jimin asks from the kitchen, still looking for the syrup.
"Jasmine was always so into it, she dragged me to a few games. Got free candy out of it, so I can't complain."
You look back, noticing him going through everything to try and find it. "We did buy maple syrup, right?"
You hum, "I think so. Close the cabinets dummy."
He shoots you a sly smile before doing as he's told, closing the cabinets before finally opening the fridge. "Ah-ha!" he exclaims, pulling the syrup free from inside the fridge.
"Cold syrup. Yippee," you say, scrunching up your face in disgust.
He chuckles, "We do have a microwave."
"Uh oh, hide Jungkook."
Jimin freezes, "Hide Jungkook? What?"
You go stiff for a moment. "Oh God, he's going to kill me for telling you."
"Well now you have to tell me."
You huff, "Jungkook may or may not be scared of microwaves."
Jimin blinks at you. "You're kidding, right?" You shake your head. "This bitch... is scared... of microwaves?" Jimin asks. You nod. "He's fought through Hell and back, got enhancements not once but twice, lost his best friend in combat, has witnessed alien life... and he's scared of fucking microwaves?" You nod again.
Jimin sighs, placing the syrup inside the contraption and pressing start, 30 seconds on the timer. "I honestly don't even know how to react to that."
"You're scared of heights," you say, but he scoffs.
"Heights is a reasonable fear."
"Do you have any unreasonable fears?"
He stammers for a moment, then pops the microwave open, making sure the syrup doesn't get too hot. He takes it out and closes the microwave door, clearing his throat. "Do you have any unreasonable fears?" he says, and you give him a 'really' look. He sits back down next to you, handing you the syrup. "Peace offering?"
You nod rapidly. "Deal." You take the bottle and pour it over your pancakes, your mouth watering at the sight. Your stomach is starting to wake up at the delicious smells all around you. "Thank you for making breakfast, Mochi."
He softly smiles, "Anytime, princess." Whenever he calls you that it's like your entire stomach does a cartwheel. It's so cute to you and you don't know why. He senses your giddiness, and his smile widens. "What?" You place the syrup down and decide to kiss him. He lets out a surprised breath against your lips, but doesn't complain. You don't move your lips, you simply enjoy the feeling of his on yours.
You sigh, and after a few seconds, you pull back. "Do you always have to be shirtless around here?"
"Now why would I want to hide all this from you?"
"Alright, I'm giving you the silent treatment, Jin's rubbing off too much on you," you say, shaking your head. You roll your eyes so hard your vision goes almost completely black.
"What? It's true!" he whines.
"So what if it is? I need to keep Jin as far away from you as possible," you reply.
"You love me."
"Of course I do, but my gosh your confidence leads to some lines that I would prefer to forget." He snuggles closer to you, his shoulder hitting yours as he cuts his top pancake. You change the channel, and the news plays, a female reporter speaking calmly to the audience. You go still. "Do you want me to change it?"
He shakes his head, "Isn't this what normal couples do? Sit down, eat some breakfast, watch the news?"
You laugh, "I wouldn't know. You've met the boy I've dated before, do you really think we were normal?"
Jimin gives you a playful look. "Rate your relationship with him on a scale of one to ten." You give him an 'are you serious look'. "What? I'm curious."
"No jealousy?"
"No jealousy."
You narrow your eyes, "I don't believe you."
"You should," he says with a pout, which finally makes you give in.
"Eight and a half. Exhilarating. Caring. Interesting."
"Damn, Kook has smooth moves." You hold up your wrist, where your friendship bracelet with Jungkook stays tied around you. "What's that?" he asks, and you beam.
"We got friendship bracelets at the mall."
"Well now I'm jealous."
You laugh, shaking your head, "If it makes you feel any better, I'd rate us at a nine."
"A nine?" he asks, furrowing his brows.
"Oh yeah. Powerful. Passionate. Emotional."
His pout only increases. "How do we make it a perfect ten?"
You giggle, "Put a shirt on." He instantly jumps up. "Wait!" He looks down at you, and you let your eyes scan over his exposed chest. "Actually... how about you stay here for a few more minutes." He gives you a shit-eating grin before sitting down again. "No Jin-like comments or I'll walk out of here so fast I swear to God."
"But-"
"Park Jimin."
"Yes?"
You look at him with wide eyes. "Shush or no sex for two weeks." He shuts his mouth and decides to lean against you again, picking up his utensils. "You don't want syrup?" you ask, looking up at the daily news. It covers the progress of Ganymede's recovery, and so far it looks like everything's been a success.
"Hmm... hand it over." You do, and he goes to work with pouring it. When you look up next, however, you weren't expecting to see you and Jimin on the screen...
And it's the two of you kissing.
Your jaw drops. You tap his shoulder rapidly. "What is it babe- oh..." He trails off, staring at the screen. You turn the volume up.
"This picture here can show some much needed positivity in these horrible times. This is Park Jimin and Y/N L/N, sharing a moment while Jimin holds a medallion dedicated to his former Captain, Kim Namjoon. It's unclear how long these two have been in a relationship, but they seem to be the talk of the town. They're being labeled as the 'King' and 'Queen' of Ganymede. After the broadcast, it's clear as to why. Jimin has proved to be a good Captain, and Y/N is a strong and passionate young woman who led Ganymede's military to victory against the Belt. Overall, the broadcast has been received well in most of the solar system. Earth has reached out, offering aid in Ganymede's recovery as well as offering soldiers to help fortify our security. The last three remaining cities on Ganymede are rebuilding."
You look over at Jimin, but his eyes are glued to the screen, him not bothering with his pancakes anymore. "Speaking of Y/N, her father, Commander L/N, has unfortunately been killed in action. His funeral will be held two days from now at 11 o'clock sharp. The public is invited, as his wife feels it would have been what he wanted. He'll be honored with a statue. In other news, the war between Earth and Mars hasn't made any progress. Earth has tried to make peace in light of Captain Park Jimin's words, but Mars refuses."
Jimin's eyes widen in worry. "More missiles were launched at Earth, leading to the destruction of the Australian city Sydney. Moscow, Russia has been left severely damaged, and Ontario, Canada is also suffering heavy losses. Earth is starting to go on the defensive, protecting their planet rather than attacking. However, this defensive plan is unfortunately not very successful."
She keeps talking, but at this point you don't care. You've heard enough. "Hey," you whisper, nudging his shoulder. "Your pancakes and eggs will get cold."
He softly smiles, giving you a quick peck. "Yeah, you're right," he whispers back, starting to dig in.
You just now realize that you never asked where exactly Jimin was born. "Where did you grow up?" you ask, turning to your plate and grabbing your knife and fork.
"I lived in two different places. I was born in Busan, lived there for years before my parents dragged me to America. We stayed in New York, but on the outskirts, not the city. Binghamton was where we lived for a while."
"So... you're saying you can speak Korean?"
He shrugs, "I haven't practiced in a long, long time, but some sure."
Your mouth falls open, "And you're just telling me this now, why?"
"You don't have a language kink do you?"
"Well shit Mr. Park, I have no idea, but I'd love to find out."
"You're ridiculous."
"That's nothing new." You take a bite of your pancake and melt at the flavor. It's cooked perfectly, it's even pretty fluffy. "Mmm Jimin," you say, and he goes still. "This is perfect," you add, looking over at him.
He lets his eyes fall on you, then he seems to understand. "O-Oh you meant the pancake. Yeah, I'm actually impressed with myself."
You furrow your brows, "What did you think I meant?"
He gulps, "Thought you were thinking of something else."
You playfully whack his shoulder with your hand. "Get your mind out of the gutter. it's like 9:30."
He laughs, "You know how dirty minded I am."
You groan but can't hide your smile. "Oh whatever, back to eating," you say, going for the eggs, which are also delicious. "Mmm, these are good too."
"Okay, now you're doing it on purpose."
You smirk, "Maaaybe."
"Hey, you're the one who said we should slow things down, if you keep going I might have to interfere."
"Fine, I'll stop talking completely, just in case."
He seems shocked when you go back in. You can't resist: you let out another 'mmm' as you take a bite of your fluffy pancake. His left eye twitches. You look up and lock eyes with him as you lean forward, eating some more. "Really?" You smirk but don't reply. "I'm sitting over here shirtless and you're moaning in front of me. What do you want me to do?"
Okay, now's your chance to really irk him. You can't resist. "Nothing daddy."
He blinks at you, sighing. "And you call me horny." You giggle, nuzzling into his side. He lets out a small breath at your warmth, wrapping one arm around you while the other grabs his fork. "I wouldn't complain if you casually called me it more often."
"Oh yeah?"
He hums, "Yeah. It's nice."
"Classic possessive Jimin."
"I don't hear you saying no." You don't reply, you simply watch the news as you eat, enjoying the meal and Jimin's presence. Seriously - how did you get so lucky?
"How was your visit to the lab yesterday?" you ask, and he seems to light up.
"Oh yeah," he starts, a mouthful of food. He takes a few seconds to swallow his mouthful before hopping up. The sudden lack of skin ship makes you pout. "I got something for you."
You raise a brow as he walks into the bedroom, and after a few seconds, he reappears with a bag in his hand. "For me?" you ask as he sits down next to you.
"Yeah, for you. Anya kind of convinced me to get one, so I thought I'd get one for you too."
You slowly nod as he hands you the bag, and although you're slightly concerned, you open it and pull out a small rectangular box. You furrow your brows when you read it, then your eyes light up. "A phone?"
"I mean, you forgot your hologlobe anyway, so I thought this could-"
You jump into his arms, cutting him off. He chuckles, his breath dancing across your ear. He holds you close, returning your embrace. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you-"
"Y/N, it's not a big deal," he tries, but you shush him with your constant 'thank you's.
When you finally pull back, you give him a quick kiss. "You seriously got me a phone?" you ask, not able to hide the awe in your voice.
"Well... yeah. Yeah, I did."
You give him the softest look humanly possible. He seriously spoils you, and you can't help but feel slightly guilty. "You spoil me so much a-and I just-"
"Y/N?" You shut up. "I love spoiling you, the look on your face makes everything worth it. You're my angel, you know that?"
"And you're my demon."
He laughs, "What?"
"Park Jimin, you're literally sitting here shirtless."
"Fair, but still. My point stands. You're my angel."
You give him another kiss, smiling before looking down at the box. You let out a small squeal, especially once you see it's gold. "My boyfriend got me a phooone~ my boyfriend got me a phooone~" you sing out, holding it against your chest. No one's ever treated you this well. In the two and a half weeks you and Jimin have been together he's done more for you than anyone else ever has. Well, Jungkook did a lot for you and you appreciate him, but other than that? Nope. Your family? Nope. Your friends? Nope. Yeonjun? Nope.
"You're so cute," you swear you hear him mutter.
"Hm?" you ask.
He scratches the back of his neck. "N-Nothing."
"I'm pretty damn cute, thanks."
"Oh my God."
"What?"
"We're both turning into Jin."
You go still. "Oh no. What do we do?"
"Quick! Kiss me so it all goes away!"
You laugh, mentally cringing at his words, but you still accept. You lean forward and kiss him, and he smiles against your lips. It only lasts a few seconds, but it's enough to make your heartstrings do a little happy dance. He pulls back and gives you an adorable look. "Thank you," you whisper, and he firmly nods.
"You're welcome."
~19:30~
Jungkook's never been more nervous in his life.
He sits down, his leg bouncing up and down rapidly. He's in a rather-secluded booth in a nice restaurant he remembers coming to two years ago. Jungkook doesn't quite recall the name, but Ganymede is known for their fancier restaurants. He asked Taehyung out officially, and the boy said yes. So now, he waits, sitting there anxiously while wearing a nice black suit. Jungkook (of course) came twenty minutes early and has been awkwardly sitting here for all of those twenty minutes now.
He looks up in time for a tall, tan waiter to approach. "Hello sir, my name is Ronaldo and I'll be taking care of you this evening. Waiting for someone?"
Jungkook swallows his nerves and forces a smile. "Yes I am, he should be arriving any minute now. For now can him and I get waters?"
He nods, "Of course, I'll be right back with those." He walks away as quickly as he came, and Jungkook's left alone with his thoughts again.
Taehyung wouldn't stand him up, that's not what he's worried about. Jungkook is terrified about how he's going to do. Will he be entertaining enough? Will he know what to say? Why is this so much different from when they're casually talking? Jungkook nervously fiddles with his fingers, feeling his body get hot as his enhancements softly glow. They glow a soft blue, not quite red yet, but he's sure they'll get there. He's not sure what him and Taehyung are yet. Well, obviously they have feelings for each other, but they didn't talk about... them. Jungkook's sure he'll know after tonight.
Before he can drift deeper into his thoughts, Taehyung slips into the booth, wearing a suit as well. Jungkook shamelessly stares at the boy as he adjusts himself in his seat, giving Jungkook a warm smile to greet him. Taehyung notices the Executive's stare and slightly flusters. "Jimin helped me pick it out."
"And I hope you helped him pick out a good one too?"
"Always." Taehyung motions to Jungkook's attire. "You clean up well."
Jungkook gives him a warm smile. "Thanks, it runs in the family."
"Oh really? I don't think I've ever heard you talk about your family."
"It's not a topic I ever mention really. It's not that I like or dislike them, I just chose to leave at a young age, so it's been a while."
Taehyung gives him a nod of understanding. "Do you think they miss you?" Oh wow, bringing out the deep questions this early. Maybe Jungkook should've ordered Vodka instead of water.
"Part of me hopes they do, another part hopes they don't. Why does everyone in our crew seem to have like - daddy issues?"
Taehyung bursts out laughing, "I'm not sure. Jin, Jimin, and Y/N have major daddy issues, who else?"
"Oh come on, Min Yoongi is developing some too. You too." Jungkook gives Taehyung a wink, and the boy blushes.
"You are not saying what I think you're saying," he mumbles.
"Depends."
"On what?"
"What do you think I'm saying?" Jungkook teases.
Taehyung blinks at the boy, "You're a lot more dirty minded than I thought."
Jungkook goes pale. "Shit, I've been hanging around Jimin too much."
Taehyung shakes his head with a small smile, "I like to think I don't have a dirty mind, but then I see you and that changes."
"We're really getting all our feelings out there tonight, huh?" Jungkook says, and Taehyung softly laughs, nodding.
The sound eases Jungkook's nerves. Seems like they're off to a decent start. Goal: don't stop talking. Say some of the dumbest shit in human history if needed. Do not stop talking Jeon Jungkook. He repeats his goal over and over in his head as their waiter, Ronaldo, approaches. He places two fancy glasses of water down in front of them, then hands them both menus. "Tonight we have a special soup, made straight from ecsases. We call it our 'Flower Bud Stew'. As for entrees, we have a special pan-seared pacific halibut with glazed carrots and our famous duck breast with your choice of roasted vegetables, our freshly made mashed potatoes, or a side salad. I'll give you two a couple minutes to look over the menu."
Jungkook thanks the man as he walks away, then turns back to the menu, flipping through it. "Ecsases?" Taehyung asks, and Jungkook hums.
"Ganymede has some genetically modified plants. Ecsases, made to sound like ecstasy. It's like a sweet, carrot-like vegetable. The soup would be like warm, comfort food. Probably a chicken or turkey broth mixed with ecsases. It's called a flower bud since the vegetable itself looks like... well, a flower bud."
Taehyung stares at him in amazement. "Is there anything else I should know about Ganymede's food?"
"We're known for duck and pork. We get live duck and pork shipments straight from Earth, and as they breed they adapt to the environment. Since, as you can tell, it's cold on Ganymede, the ducks ate more and got fatter. Same with our other livestock. Fish is pretty rare, so it's kind of amazing that they have a halibut dish." Taehyung blinks, his lips slowly twitching up into a smile before looking back down at the menu.
"What are the odds they have a hamburger on here?"
Jungkook chuckles, "We could always ask." Taehyung hums to himself as he looks through the fancy menu, and Jungkook can't help but listen in. Taehyung has a deep voice. Jungkook would love to hear him sing. In fact - he wants to hear it so badly that he can't help himself. "Do you sing?" Jungkook asks, not really paying attention to the menu.
Taehyung looks surprised by the question, then shakes his head, "I never seriously tried it. Do you?"
Jungkook gets shy at that, and his memories start hitting him hard. "When I was growing up, I loved to sing. I participated in a lot of contests and wanted to pursue it."
"What happened?" Taehyung asks, leaning forward.
"I got shy, kept thinking that I wasn't good enough, so I left to instead become an Intelligence Officer."
Taehyung gives him a soft expression. "I bet your voice is beautiful."
Jungkook's ears start to turn red, and he clears his throat. "Maybe I'll sing for you sometime. Maybe."
"Maybe? Oh I'm getting you to sing," Taehyung mutters, shaking his head with an amused look. Jungkook returns the look as Ronaldo comes back. It's at this point where Jungkook realizes he didn't even glance at the menu.
"Have we decided?" he asks, a friendly smile on his face.
"I have. What about you, Kook?"
The Executive struggles to form words. This is so embarrassing. He can't help but get flustered. "You go first," he says instead, and Taehyung gives him a confused look.
"You okay?"
Jungkook rapidly nods, looking through the menu. "You know what? I'll have whatever he's having," Jungkook says, placing the menu back down.
Taehyung laughs, "You can take your time, really. We have all night."
"I can come back, there's no rush at all," their waiter says, but Jungkook's stubborn sometimes. Strictly sometimes.
"I'm okay, really. I'll have whatever you're getting."
Taehyung gives him one more look of disbelief before shrugging and accepting it. "We'll do your duck special then. I'll have mine with mashed potatoes."
Jungkook hums in agreement, "Me too."
"Well that was painless. No appetizers?"
Taehyung and Jungkook share a look. "I think we're okay, we'll stick with the duck," Jungkook answers, and Taehyung nods in agreement. Ronaldo takes the menus, and Jungkook thanks him again as he walks away to go put in their orders. Taehyung stares at Jungkook for a moment. "What? I got distracted by you, if anything it's your fault not mine," Jungkook says.
Taehyung laughs, giving Jungkook a boxy smile. "Really?"
"What? It's true," Jungkook says, but Taehyung simply shakes his head.
"You're a character Jungkook, I'll give you that."
"You mean that in a good way, right?"
Taehyung gives him a small smirk. "Sure... we'll go with that." And, with that, the rest of the dinner went really smoothly.
~20:45~
"You did not."
"I did," Jungkook hums in response, guiding Taehyung down the sidewalk. Their dinner went surprisingly well. Jungkook hasn't felt this happy in a long time. Being with Taehyung does something to his heart that he can't describe. He thought at first that it was just some passing feelings, but they stuck around. This dinner confirms that maybe him and Taehyung can make this work.
"So, you beat Y/N at go-karts... and she didn't kill you? Nu uh that doesn't sound like her," Tae replies.
"I know, but I managed to win her over by buying her a stuffed animal. I wonder if she still has it."
Taehyung chuckles, "If you bought me something, I would never get rid of it."
"You feel the need to one-up all my exes, don't you?" Jungkook says.
"All of them?" Taehyung asks, raising a brow.
"Yeah, first Jimin by saying you'd never cheat on me, and now Y/N."
"Wait, you only have two exes? And one of which doesn't even count?"
Jungkook goes still, going to the side and slowing to a stop right next to the wall of a tall building. Taehyung notices his new mood and stops with him, giving the Executive a confused look. "I've only really had one ex, why? How many have you had?"
Taehyung looks slightly embarrassed. "More than one..." Jungkook's eyes widen. Taehyung isn't like, a playboy, right? He seems way too sweet and reserved to be one, but at the same time, Jungkook doesn't know a crazy amount about him yet.
"Four?" Jungkook guesses. Taehyung shakes his head. "Five?" Again, a shake. His breath gets caught in his throat. "Six?" A hesitant no. "Seven?" When Taehyung doesn't answer, Jungkook lets out a sigh. "Clearly I'm never going to guess. How many?"
Taehyung plays with his feet before clearing his throat. "Uh... eleven."
"Eleven?!" Jungkook repeats, shock in his tone.
"I've been around I guess."
"When was your last ex?" Jungkook asks.
"Six months ago."
Jungkook can't hide his disbelief. Based on Tae's shyness, he didn't think the boy has dated any more than like, two people. But to find out he's dated enough to enter double digits is insane to the Executive. He isn't totally sure how to react. In a way, it makes him a little scared. Should he keep pursuing Taehyung? Is Jungkook going to end up as number twelve after two months? "What do you think?" Taehyung asks quietly, and Jungkook shakes his head.
"You've... really been around," he mutters, and Taehyung somberly nods.
"I can't really change that Kook, but if it makes you feel any better, I wasn't a playboy. I promise. I didn't go from relationship to relationship. A lot of them were long. In the eight month to two year range."
"That's a lot to process," Jungkook replies, and Taehyung seems to understand.
"I know, but I am an adult Jungkook. I met a lot of people on Triton."
"I know, I'm not blaming you for it."
Jungkook locks eyes with Taehyung, who's taken aback. Jungkook needs to make up his mind, right here, right now. He stares at the man, the light from Jupiter illuminating them as a breeze dances across their faces. Taehyung's hair slightly blows in the wind, his eyes filled with worry as Jungkook stays still. He studies Taehyung's posture, his face, his body, every single detail. He wants this man. He really, really does.
He harshly steps forward, Taehyung backing up on instinct. Jungkook keeps walking until Taehyung's back hits the wall of the building, and Jungkook roughly presses his lips over Tae's. He kisses back immediately, closing his eyes and letting out a rough breath against Jungkook's lips. He loves it. Taehyung's hands rest on Jungkook's shoulders while Jungkook's rest on the boy's face, his fingers tapping against the skin there.
He keeps his lips on Taehyung's for a few more seconds before pulling back, their eyes locking. They both take a moment to catch their breath before Jungkook speaks. "I don't care how many people you've been with."
Taehyung seems taken aback, then softly smiles, "I don't care how many people you haven't been with." Jungkook kisses him again, this time much softer. He doesn't move his lips: he simply appreciates the salty taste Taehyung has.
Jungkook gingerly pulls away after only three seconds, stepping back and clearing his throat. He glances up at the sky, admiring Jupiter for a moment before looking back down at Taehyung. "I was alone for most of my life, did you know that?" Jungkook asks. Taehyung sadly nods. Jungkook sighs and continues, "I went from mission to mission, letting different systems abuse me just to become better. I didn't think that anyone would care about me at all. I thought I'd be all alone." He pauses, trying to bring air into his lungs, but it feels impossible. His enhancements shine, the red hue illuminating the space. He winces at the surprising amount of pain, but he doesn't want Tae to worry so he pushes it aside. "Then I met you. You make me smile and laugh, you make my heart beat faster, my stomach gets all tingly and excited when I so much as hear your name. Tae I-" He breaks off, shaking his head with a sigh. Taehyung leans closer, trying to hear more.
Jungkook sniffles, sadly smiling. His entire body feels warm, his heart beating fast, and his body hot both from his feelings and his enhancements. "Be my boyfriend." Jungkook hesitates. "Please?" Taehyung stands there, shocked, then he smiles. He doesn't reply at first, he simply walks forward and gives Jungkook another peck on the lips. Taehyung grabs Jungkook's hand, giving it a squeeze before letting out a breath.
"I'd love to be yours."

A/N: Not Jungkook internally panicking every time he sees Taehyung-
It's weird editing these chapters since I'm in the middle of writing the plot-heavy ones so it's giving me slight tonal whiplash since I go from the heart of the conflict to this chapter. It's weird, we're not even at the build-up chapters yet so my heart is #confused
