Day 1
A/N: Good morning, after crying over the Fix You cover for the thirty-fifth time, I decided to do one final read over of this chapter and post it. Enjoy.
This picture of Jimin is so iconic that I stared at it for 30 minutes straight until I realized I should start editing.
Did you guys say more Jin??? No? Fuck. Oh well more Jin.
~Day 1 || 14:52~
Jungkook wants to wipe away his tears, but he can't. He can barely feel his arms thanks to his spinal injury. It's mostly in his elbows, he feels small pains here and there. Sometimes his muscles will spasm, which causes even more pain thanks to his other injuries. Luckily his enhancements kept him alive. Wait. Jungkook's eyes widen. He shakes off his thoughts, trying not to cry again. He's already cried three times today, he doesn't need to do it again.
"Did you eat yet today?" Y/N asks, grabbing a tissue and wiping away the two tears falling down his face.
"No, not yet," he whispers, staring up at the ceiling.
She sighs, "Hey, on the bright side you already made it through the first day. The first day is always one of the hardest days, right?"
"Y/N I'm bed-ridden during the most important mission of our lives."
She frowns, "I know... I wish there was something I could do to help."
"You already are helping. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound selfish I just- I feel so powerless."
She shakes her head, "You're not being selfish. In fact, quite the opposite. Don't push yourself, you hear me?"
He nods, "I figured I'd have feeling back in my body by now."
"Well, that might not be your fault. It could be the pain killers too, right?"
He thinks about it, then hums. "Yeah, that could be it too. Part of me wants to feel the pain to make sure my body is still intact."
"Well Jungkook, as someone looking at you right now, all your limbs are attached. Not well, but attached nonetheless." He smiles at her words. She always makes him feel better. That may be why he's crying. He hates keeping secrets from her, but he has to this time. This is too big.
"How's Jimin?" Jungkook asks, bringing his eyes to her.
"He's struggling. I think he misses you more than he'll admit."
Jungkook smiles, "I miss him too. Is he going to visit?"
"He's not allowed to really, I had to smooth-talk my way in here and tell them you're my brother."
"Did they honestly believe you?" he asks
"No, they know too much about my family name, but after I begged and told them your blood type they let me in."
"You told them my blood type?" She nods. "Wait... you know my blood type?" Again, she nods. "Stalker."
"Hey!"
They laugh, shaking their heads. "How's the city looking?"
She shrugs, "Looking pretty awful, not gonna lie."
He motions to the helmets in the corner of the room. "Think we'll need those?"
"I certainly hope not, but the odds are high that we might so... I don't know. I only hope wherever those Goliaths are now, they stay there until Earth arrives."
"I hate depending on Earth of all places for help."
"Me too," she grumbles, gritting her teeth.
Before Jungkook can ask about how she's holding up, the door opens, and Anya steps in. Jungkook raises a brow, then sees Kai behind her and starts to understand. "Y/N, Jungkook. I came to check on you, see how you were holding up," Kai says, stepping forward.
Jungkook softly smiles, "I appreciate it. I can't really feel anything, so I'll get back to you when I know what's going on with my body."
Kai chuckles, "I'm glad you made it out. I really am."
Jungkook gives him an appreciative nod before turning to Anya. "Thank you two for stopping by."
Anya lets out a shaky breath, "I was told about your condition, and I wanted to help."
"You wanted to help?" Jungkook asks, and she nods.
"Medicine isn't exactly my strong suit, so I had Alice and Sapphire help me. We think we might've created something that can help speed up your recovery."
Y/N's eyes widen, "Have you tested this something?"
"On Sapphire's friend, Heather. She broke her leg a week ago. As soon as we injected her with what we have, she started feeling better. And by this morning she was walking." Jungkook's jaw drop. Walking.
"We don't know the long-term effects, do we?" Y/N asks.
"Based on our multiple tests, there are no long-term effects."
"Then what the hell is it?" she sharply says. Jungkook's slightly concerned by Y/N's constant questions, but also respects how protective she is of him. He finds it cute.
"Think of it like a steroid, except it has properties that enhanced people react well to. If Heather was moving around after a day, imagine Jungkook with his enhancements."
Jungkook loves the idea. He doesn't even care about the risks. Truthfully, he doesn't care about the risks of anything anymore. He doesn't have the strength to after everything that has happened so far. He's trying to stay positive, but after his crushing discovery yesterday: he can't. Jungkook needs this to boost his happiness. "I'll take it," he says. Y/N looks back at him.
"We don't know anything about this drug," she whispers, but Kook shakes his head.
"I can't be bed-ridden this entire time Y/N, I can't."
"There's something I need to tell you about it though," Anya says. Jungkook stiffly nods. "There's plenty of other drugs that can get you moving faster, even within a week. What makes this one special is... well, we made it from Goliath blood."
"Oh hell no, you're not putting Goliath blood in his body," Y/N says/ "No offense Anya," she adds, and the girl shakes her head.
"None taken. I understand this is a lot to process. I guarantee it's safe. It's not pure Goliath blood - it's a mixture. The Goliath's blood has healing properties even stronger than Jungkook's. The Goliath's blood and Jungkook's blood mixing would result in much faster healing."
"Are there side effects?" she asks.
"None as of yet."
Jungkook looks at Y/N, who reluctantly looks back. "God dammit Jungkook, you're one stubborn bastard."
He chuckles, "I need it, you know that."
"I know... I just wish there was another way."
"I trust Anya, I know what she's saying is true," Kai says, giving the scientist a look of pride.
"I trust Anya too, I'm sorry, I'm a little on edge," Y/N says, slightly bowing to Anya.
"No need to apologize, okay? I get it, you really care about Jungkook, and putting a new mixture into his body isn't exactly comforting. I only want him to get back on his feet. Sapphire did most of the work to be honest."
"Thank Sapphire for me," Jungkook says, then turns to Kai, "and thank you for covering my medical bills."
"You got hurt while fighting for us, the least we can do is pay your bills." Jungkook smiles. He really likes Kai, he likes the way he thinks.
"I have the mixture with me, if you'd like it right now?" she asks.
He nods, "Please." Anya brings her hand forward. Jungkook notices that she's holding a small black briefcase. She places it on the ground, kneeling and opening it. There's two syringes inside, both filled with a gray liquid.
Anya carefully removes one, tapping it slightly and walking over to him. She grabs a small rag, putting some rubbing alcohol on it before looking at Jungkook. "Are you sure this is okay?" she asks.
Jungkook bites his lower lip, then nods. "Yes."
Anya looks at the syringe, then at Jungkook's arm, preparing to go lower when Kai's comm goes off. He presses it, bringing it up to his face. "Hello?"
"Sir! There's been a breach!" a desperate male voice calls back.
"What? Slow down, where?"
"The lab! Both Goliaths have escaped! Someone rigged the sedation cycle, they managed to break free!" he explains, causing Kai to go pale.
"Shit, get out of there as fast as possible."
"Yes sir!"
Kai turns off the comm, giving Y/N and Jungkook a worried glance. "Stay here, don't leave."
Anya's body stiffens. "Oh no... oh shit, Alice!" She stands, but Kai gives her a stern look.
"You have to stay."
"You know I can't," she replies.
"She'll be okay."
"How do you know? She was in the lab," Anya says in a whimper, the sound of her voice making Jungkook frown.
"Don't worry..." Kai mutters, turning to leave. He peeks over his shoulder, anger in his eyes. "I'm going to handle this personally."
~15:01~
Jin runs around frantically, following Jimin and Baekhyun as they push through the running crowds. For some reason Jimin wanted Baekhyun on the ground, but Jimin won't explain why. Jin struggles to see straight with all the people around, but oh well. They're all trying to get to safety. The helmet hiding Jin's gorgeous face is hot, making him sweat, but he pays no mind. The armor strapped around him is a little too tight. He doesn't comment as he shoves through the crowd more, trying desperately to keep his eyes on Jimin. The short boy pushes just as harshly as the crowd until they finally break free, the lab in sight. There seems to be no external damage, which is good. Jin's sure that in a few minutes there will be holes in the lab's walls.
"Stick together, there's only two of them so far. Normally that's relatively easy to handle, but don't let your guard down," Jimin says, and Jin nods. Baekhyun stays close to Jin, keeping his EMP on the ready. Jin was never made for shooting, but he'll do what he has to do to protect his crew. Jin finds it crazy how only a month ago he didn't even know who these people were. Now, he would die for them. Y/N was right. This crew shares a special bond no one can match. Jin smiles. Maybe he's getting over his fear of love.
"Does anyone have eyes?" Jimin asks, causing Jin and Baekhyun to shake their heads in-sync.
"Nothing yet," Baekhyun replies, still scanning over the crowd.
"Watch your fire: if we hit a civilian with one of these things they're going into a coma they'll never wake up from," Jimin says.
"Oh boy," Jin mutters, suddenly feeling even more nervous. He doesn't have the greatest aim. Although, the last time he was in a high pressure situation he performed well. He can only hope it will be the same way this time around.
He pushes his thoughts aside, deciding to focus on the lab. "Let's get closer, I don't see the military yet," Jimin whispers. The three approach the lab, keeping a steady pace as the sirens go off around town. Many people rush out of the lab, yelling and running as fast as they can. Jimin doesn't bother questioning them, he simply pushes through the revolving door, Jin and Baekhyun struggling to keep up.
"Jimin, wait up," Jin says, causing the Captain to slow down.
"Sorry, anxious," he replies. Jin nods in understanding. Jin's beyond scared at this point.
The lobby is surprisingly empty. There's only a few scared people rushing past them, not bothering stopping to question the three's presence. Jimin leads them up the escalator, going to the back hallway and listening closely. There's a loud roar followed by what sounds like an EMP. Jimin sprints into action, Jin and Baekhyun jumping in shock before doing the same, following their Captain into the main lab.
A Goliath stands there, breathing heavily. Another one lies on the ground, unconscious. It hisses, and to Jin's surprise, there's one man standing there, facing him. Kai. He's facing the creature... alone. "I won't let you hurt my family you bastard!" he calls, firing another round right into its' chest. Jimin, Jin, and Baekhyun open fire, hitting it in the chest several times. The Goliath howls in pain, unexpecting of the counter attack.
It pounces forward at Kai, but he rolls away at the last second, gasping for breath as he dodges. The Goliath doesn't bother getting up, it simply accepts its' fate as the three keep nailing it with their EMPs. "Kai?" Jimin asks, disbelief in his tone.
Kai stands, dusting himself off. "I brought a team with me. I wanted to handle this myself. I can't let this happen, not in my city. " Jimin nods, respecting it. Jin can't help but agree. Kai approaches them, nodding his thanks. "I doubt I would've been able to beat him on my own... thank you. You came right in time."
"When the boss man calls, you answer," Jimin replies, slightly bowing, "it was my pleasure."
Kai bows back, "I have a team coming in to relocate these Goliaths. We're rebuilding a cage. Until then, we have to keep them sedated in their broken chambers."
"What if someone sabotages the sedation again?"
Kai sighs, "That's what I was hoping you could help with..." Jimin goes stiff. "These chambers shouldn't take more than a day to build, but I need security over night, and the military is all placed around the dome."
"Say no more, we'll help," Jimin says, holding his EMP confidently. Jin admires the confidence, but guarding a lab with very much alive alien lifeforms that almost killed Jungkook isn't a fun idea. Regardless, Jin doesn't argue. They need to chip in to help Ganymede anyway, right? As long as they're careful, they'll be fine. Jin isn't worried. He has a strong Pilot and a strong Captain next to him.
"Thank you. I can't thank you enough for what you've done for Ganymede, it feels like I'm thanking you every day."
"Looks like we have that in common," Jimin replies. Although the helmet blocks Jimin's face, Jin can tell he's smiling. He smiles too. He wants to try to stay as positive as possible, after all.
"Follow me, I'll show you where to stay guarded," Kai says. Jimin nods, the three following Kai out of the room. One thing's for sure: these next twenty-four hours are going to be intense.
~22:01~
"You alright?" Jin asks, causing Jimin to sigh.
"I want to check in on Y/N, but she's not answering any of my calls."
"She's probably with Jungkook still, right?" Jimin slowly nods. He really hopes that's the case, but he's paranoid. He hasn't seen her since this morning, which normally isn't a big deal, but they're in the middle of... whatever the fuck this is. A war? Is that even the right word for it? War with an alien life?
Jimin rubs his fingers on his temple, his helmet sitting by his feet as he leans against the wall. Jin leans across from him in the hallway, giving him a sympathetic look. "She'll be okay, don't worry."
Jimin nods. "She can take care of herself, I know that. I'm more worried about what'll happen if those creatures break through the dome."
Jin sighs, "Yeah, yeah, that's a rough thought."
"I mean - how would Ganymede survive? No more domes? No more cities? Even if there are survivors, how will they rebuild all that?"
"I don't know boss. All I know is that we can only worry about what's happening now." Jimin sadly looks down. Jin's right, as much as he hates to admit it. "Look on the bright side, we don't live in the western or southern city."
"That's a decent way to look at it... until you realize all those people died, even if it wasn't us."
"Look, I know everything's going to shit, but we have to try and keep our heads up." Jimin's slightly shocked to hear those words coming from Jin. That sounds more like a Hobi thing. Jimin peeks up, raising a brow at Jin. "Y/N is the one who told me that this crew loves each other deeply. Yeah, we want to save as many lives as possible, but us first, right?"
Jimin purses his lips, considering that. Yeah, the crew comes first. The crew always comes first. "You're right," Jimin whispers, causing Jin to smirk.
"Sorry, can you say that one more time?"
"Oh my Go- okay you know what? Fine. You're right," Jimin repeats, giving Jin a 'seriously' look while shaking his head.
"We're in this together Cap, no matter what. And I was always in, but you giving me an official rank just made me... I don't know. It made me feel different. I'm with you til' my last breath."
Jimin's eyes widen. Undying loyalty wasn't what he expected from Jin of all people, but he'll accept it nonetheless. "Thank you, I appreciate that. Now all that's left is giving Yoongi and Taehyung official ranks... maybe promote a few people."
"Like?" Jin asks, raising a brow.
"Well, I promoted you and Hoseok. Baekhyun definitely deserves it, Y/N too."
"What about Seulgi?" Jimin pauses. Seulgi stepped up on the Moon during the whole Ganymede messiness. Maybe she deserves one too. Platinum though, that's a big step. Then again, Namjoon made it for Jimin. Surely he can make it for Seulgi. Maybe even Baekhyun. He did defeat a battleship.
Jimin shyly smiles. "Yeah... yeah, Seulgi too."
Baekhyun walks back into the hall, holding his helmet in one hand and his EMP in the other. "This is exhausting, are they done with the facilities yet?"
Jimin shakes his head, "I have no news from Kai. We're here until he tells us to leave." Jin eyes Jimin, and the Captain sighs. "Give us a minute?" Jimin asks. Jin wants Jimin to give out these promotions more than the ones getting promoted. Strange.
"Sure, take your time," Jin says, nodding before walking off. Baekhyun only seems confused, watching as Jin turns down the hall.
"What was that about?" Baekhyun asks, leaning against the wall.
"You," Jimin simply replies. Baekhyun raises a brow.
"All good things I hope?"
"You may be surprised to hear this, but yes actually. All great things."
The Pilot only seems more perplexed. "Uh... then why'd you tell him to leave?"
"I'd like to offer you something I feel you deserve. You earned it a while ago, and I'm sorry I didn't give it to you earlier."
"You're slightly scaring me. Only slightly."
Jimin chuckles, "I started as a scrappy, self-hating rookie to the Captain. Do you know how that happened?"
"You worked hard and came out of your shell."
Jimin hums, "You're right. Baekhyun, tell me what you've done these past few weeks."
He seems taken aback, "I flew a ship?"
Jimin smiles, shaking his head. "You worked hard and came out of your shell."
"S-Sir, is that what I think it is?"
"It is." He approaches Baekhyun, who stands tall. Jimin places one hand on Baekhyun's shoulder, locking eyes with him. "I know you and I haven't always seen eye-to-eye. We've had our share of arguments and quite frankly I feel like I know you the least out of everyone, even Jin. But your words aren't what matter. Everyone has opinions, everyone has a chapter they don't read out loud. It's your actions that I care about. You've more than proved yourself as a central part of this crew, and blowing up that battleship? That was the final straw." He steps back, holding out his hand. Baekhyun shakes it. "I'd like to promote you to a Platinum Pilot, if you'll accept it."
Baekhyun goes pale, his eyes nearly bursting out of his head. "Platinum? I was a Silver."
"I know."
"But... what happened to Gold?"
"You happened. Baekhyun you did something no cruiser in history has done: you blew up a whole battleship. There's a reason no one else has accomplished it before. It's near impossible, yet you pulled it off. If that's not Platinum worthy, then I don't know what is."
Baekhyun gives Jimin's hand a squeeze. "Sir, I-I don't know what to say."
"Don't say anything. You've earned it. Tell the crew for me, will you? They deserve to hear it straight from you."
He agrees. "Thank you so much, really."
"Thank you for being the best pilot we could ask for."
Baekhyun smiles, "Thank you for being the best Captain we could ask for."
"Yawn, okay, if you guys are done being gay for each other I'm going to come back now," Jin says, causing Jimin to snap around. The man is standing only a few feet away, leaning against the wall.
"Really Jin? Really?" Jimin asks, and the man nods.
"Yeah, of course."
Before Jimin can respond, an alarm blares out. The three instantly grab their helmets and put them on, snapping into serious mode. They grab their EMPs, making sure they're fully loaded before storming down the hall. The main lab is not too far. It's so close that they reach it within thirty seconds. Jimin opens the door and sees a Goliath standing there, roaring. "Where the hell are its' sedations?" Jimin asks, kneeling and opening fire. The Goliath growls, jumping forward as Jin and Baekhyun shoot with Jimin.
"No clue, there are scientists still around, right?" Baekhyun says as the Goliath gets closer. There's no way they can beat this thing right now. They need backup.
"Back up! Get out! Now!" Jimin yells. Jin and Baekhyun follow Jimin's orders, but the Goliath pounces. Jimin yelps, jumping out of the way. It scratches the door instead, causing it to malfunction, the door slamming shut. "Shit," Jimin whispers, crawling away. He hides behind a desk as the Goliath whips around, trying to find him. Jin and Baekhyun are safe. That's all that matters. Jimin can feel the sweat dripping down his forehead as the Goliath moves around, its footsteps booming across the room. Jimin holds his breath, risking a peek from behind the desk.
The Goliath has its back facing Jimin, clawing at another desk, throwing it to the side like it's nothing. Jimin gulps. He does not want to end up like Jungkook. He checks his EMP. It reloaded, it's at a full ten now. He's not sure how many more he needs to take it down, and he's not sure if he wants to find out, but he has the advantage. Well, not really - he's a puny human. He only has the element of surprise going for him right now.
Jimin's careful not to make any noise as he props himself up, placing his blaster on the table and preparing to open fire. He takes a deep breath, his fingers shaking. Jimin really doesn't want to die, so he prays that this works. He rapidly opens fire, hitting it three times in the back. The Goliath howls, spinning around. Jimin gulps, then fires again, missing one shot, then hitting it straight in the face. It hisses, stopping his attack run to cover his face with his hand. Headshots do the most damage. Good to know. It starts to get angry, preparing to jump.
Jimin fires as much as he can, but the Goliath doesn't go down, it simply keeps growling in pain. Jimin's blaster goes dry, and he gulps. He looks down at his empty blaster. Nine seconds of a cooldown left. "Well... fuck," Jimin says just as the Goliath pounces. It goes high into the air. The Captain jumps away as it crashes on the ground, making a loud 'boom' sound. Jimin ducks as it swipes with its claws, but the massive object still cuts down anyway. Jimin cries out in pain, the claw making contact with his leg. He gasps, blood trickling down his skin. He crawls backwards as the creature recovers from its attack, still shaking off the EMP blasts.
Jimin still has six seconds left on the cooldown. Panic starts to bloom in his chest. He can't die here - he can't. But now, injured, no ammo yet, and a giant monster only a few feet away, he can't help but think he's about to. He hates the thought, but it's one he has to embrace. He's lived a pretty decent life. Well, not really. Only this last month has been good, but other than that, shit. At least he can die knowing that he finally did something with his life.
The Goliath gets on all fours, its spikes extending. Jimin watches in amazement, still crawling backwards desperately as the creature starts to stand, preparing to jump again. Jimin's EMP has four seconds left. The creature extends its claws, the sharp objects terrifying to Jimin. Three seconds. It plants its feet, about to jump. Two seconds. It jumps, closing the gap Jimin put between them. One second. The creature is only three feet away. Jimin rolls away, under a desk. The Goliath grabs the desk and tosses it aside. Zero seconds.
Jimin blasts him right in the face, and the creature snarls, backing up. In his adrenaline rush, Jimin barely manages to stand, limping as fast as he can to the door. The creature shakes off its injury, charging forward again. Jimin frantically presses the button, but the door doesn't budge, so he dives out of the way. The Goliath smashes into the door, the wall bending at the impact. If it hits the wall one or two more times, it'll break. Jimin needs to protect the public, he can't let that happen. His leg is in searing pain, but he ignores it to instead shoot again.
He misses the first two shots, the Goliath flinching away. He hits the third and fourth, one in the chest, one in the arm. It lets out a guttural sound that terrifies Jimin, but after two more successful shots, it falls over, unconscious. Of course, right in front of the door. Jimin pants, holding his EMP against his chest. He warily peeks over to the back, seeing the other Goliath still unconscious... for now.
Jimin shakily stands, limping over to the nearest table. This is a lab, right? There has to be medical supplies in here somewhere. He finds scissors, cutting his pants so he can see the wound better. He winces at the deep gash on his calf, the blood refusing to stop. That's gonna need stitches. Jimin mentally curses as the second one starts to shudder, starting to regain consciousness. Jimin puts his comm to his mouth, pressing it. "Jin? Baekhyun? Do you read me?"
"Jimin! Thank God! We heard all the sounds and feared the worst!" Jin replies.
"I got that bastard, but I'm injured. It got my leg pretty good. I need backup immediately, I think the other one is waking up and I won't survive that one."
"I'm trying to get the door open, but it won't budge!"
Jimin doesn't reply, watching the second creature closely. It shifts, its body starting to shake. Jimin thinks for a few moments, glancing around the room before a lightbulb goes off in his head. "Jin."
"Yes?"
"Run. I have an idea."
"Sir, we can't leave you-"
"You're not. Get away from the door. Get into another hallway, I don't care just don't be right outside this door do you hear me?" There's a pause.
"Yes sir."
Jimin turns off his comm, rifling through the drawers until he finds medical wrap. "Score," he mutters, grabbing it and placing the EMP on the table.
He props his leg up, doing the best he can with what he's given. He wraps it around himself, not totally sure how to do it, but he improvises. He knows he needs to limit the bleeding while he still can. It would've been much worse if he wasn't wearing armor, the plate guarding his left leg got completely shattered. Those claws are definitely sharp. He looks over at the second Goliath as he finishes wrapping his leg, choosing to shove the wrap in his chestplate rather than leaving it on the table. The Goliath shakes itself to life, groaning and starting to open its eyes.
Jimin gulps, limping over to the door. He stands right in front of the first unconscious Goliath, not fully trusting that it's not going to move, but Jimin has no choice. The second Goliath shakily stands, wobbling at first, blinking rapidly. It makes eye contact with Jimin, who awkwardly stands there staring. "Uh... hi." The Goliath yells at him in response. "Rude," Jimin mutters, his adrenaline kicking in. He can barely feel the pain in his leg as the creature snarls, preparing to jump. Good. Please, jump. Go ahead bitch do it.
It charges forward, jumping in the air. Jimin rushes into action, rolling away as the creature dives right into the wall. Jimin looks up, horror in his expression once he realizes the wall didn't give. He still needs one more big push. He runs around the room as the Goliath shakes its head, recovering. Jimin shoots him in the back a few times, around five times, then his EMP clicks off. These blasters are so inconsistent it scares him. They need much better weaponry. The Goliath charges at him, but Jimin keeps running. He does a full circle around the room, standing back in front of the door as the Goliath stands directly across from him. His gun powers up again, so Jimin shoots him in the face, causing him to growl. "Come get me you son of a bitch!" Jimin yells, holding his ground.
The Goliath does. It performs the same motion, charging forward, preparing to jump. Jimin waits until the Goliath is in the air before rolling away again. However, what Jimin wasn't expecting, was for the Goliath to jump in the direction he was going. Jimin feels fear swell up in his chest as the Goliath lands in front of him, blocking his path. "Fuck!" Jimin yells, shooting it in the face twice more to stall it. It covers its face with his claw. "This way you asshole!" he says, pointing towards the door. But it doesn't listen to the Captain. The Goliath jumps forward, its claw hitting Jimin.
He gasps, feeling himself getting knocked away. He hits the back wall, groaning in pain. Jimin lies there, pain shooting up and down his body. The Goliath eyes him, but Jimin stays still. Thanks to his helmet the Goliath can't see his eyes. He stays as still as he can. The creature watches for a few more moments, then is convinced that Jimin is not getting back up (which to be fair, he probably won't for a few minutes).
It stands back, then charges forward, bursting through the door. Jimin softly smiles. He got the door open. Jimin groggily starts to stand, his chestplate completely shattered. Thanks to his armor, he survived. He probably has a concussion, but nothing on par with what Jungkook had. Well, Jimin also didn't get thrown twenty feet away into a metal building. He got thrown ten feet away into a white wall that... honestly, Jimin isn't sure what it's made out of. He has no time to think about these things though. He focuses on the mission, rushing out of the room.
The Goliath roars in victory as it stands in the hallway. It's about to move to devastate the lab some more when Jimin growls, holding up his fully-loaded EMP with determination in his eyes. "Hey dickhead!" Jimin yells, causing the Goliath to go still. "I'm not dead yet, motherfucker!" He opens fire, shooting it right in the back. It snarls, wincing as it gets hit more and more. It whips around, about to attack when Jimin hits it right in the face. It whimpers in pain, falling over unconscious. As soon as the creature hits the ground, Jimin pants, falling to his knees.
He places one hand on his stomach, the other on the ground. He feels like he's going to throw up. "Jimin?" Jin's voice says from the opposite direction. He coughs, turning his head to see Jin and Baekhyun rushing towards him. "Jimin!" Jin repeats, kneeling down next to him.
"Your leg," Baekhyun mutters, shock in his tone.
"I-I think I'm getting stitches," Jimin says with a chuckle.
"You defeated those two on your own?" Jin asks in awe. Jimin nods, sighing. "What do you need, Jimin?" Jimin shakes his head, smiling.
"I need a fucking drink."
~~~
A/N: Badass Jimin making an appearance. You go Min.
