Flight
~Three Days Later || 13:56~
"Mmm, J-Jimin?"
"Yes baby girl?"
"Don't stop."
Taehyung stands there in shock, unsure of if he should walk in or announce his presence. "I won't baby. Relax, let me do all the work," Jimin's voice says. Taehyung clears his throat. You know what? It's their fault for fucking in the cockpit again. It's a public space, they're asking for it.
"Um, here to announce my presence," Taehyung says.
"We're in here," Jimin calls back. Taehyung is slightly confused (and scared) but goes inside anyway.
He goes inside the cockpit in time to see Y/N cutely curled up against Jimin, her head nuzzled in his neck. Both of them fully clothed. So... they're not fucking? Then what the hell did he hear? He looks down and notices Jimin's hands working hard on her back, giving her a massage. Wow. Maybe Tae needs to get his mind out of the gutter. Then again, this is Jimin and Y/N. Taehyung is willing to bet actual money, like, a huge amount of it, that they fuck every night. Or at the very least every other night. Huh, maybe he should ask them.
"What's up, Tae Tae?" Y/N asks, her eyes closed but her lips turned up in a small smile. He mentally lets out an 'awe', but he needs to ask.
"Not to burst the cute mood, but do you guys fuck every night?"
"Yeah," they reply in unison. Jimin shrugs. "I can't keep it in my pants when I see her. Sorry, I know you wanted some of this, but she exhausts me."
"Oh I'm that good, huh?" she asks.
"Of course you are, you're my little baby," he mutters, nuzzling his head against hers.
Okay, what the fuck is up with them?
Taehyung blinks twice, rubbing his eyes to make sure he's actually alive and not dreaming. Are they being... not horny? For ten seconds? What? Physically how is that possible? Jimin has a never-ending boner (either that or he's just really packing, which Tae knows he is). How is he being so calm right now? Not even calm, it's worse than that. It's cute. Genuinely cute. Taehyung always saw their relationship as an intense, sexual, passionate, love-filled relationship. Cute wouldn't have been a word he used to describe them. Maybe him and Jungkook, but not Jimin and Y/N.
"Is my baby hungry?" Jimin asks, brushing his finger across her cheek. She looks up, fluttering her eyes open. Taehyung lets out a mental squeal. She's so cute. She really is. If Taehyung is squealing over how cute she is, he can only imagine how Jimin feels right now. He's probably having a whole inner monologue about how beautiful she is. Regardless, Taehyung leans against the entrance to the cockpit, watching as she pouts and nods.
Jimin chuckles, kissing her softly for a few moments before pulling back and looking at Tae. "Is everything okay? How's the plan for Jungkook going?"
Y/N sits up at that. "Plan for Jungkook?"
Taehyung sheepishly smiles, fiddling with his fingers. "You didn't tell her?"
"I figured it would be best if she heard it from you."
"Actually, this is perfect. Y/N, you're the closest thing to family Jungkook has, right?"
"Well, that and you," Y/N replies, making Taehyung go still.
He stares at her, unable to form words. "W-Wait," he mutters, cursing at himself for stumbling over his words. "You mean that?"
"Yeah, I really do," she replies with a small smile. Then, she furrows her brows. She looks between him and Jimin. "What's going on?"
"Nothing bad... probably. Can I talk to you alone for a moment?" Tae asks.
" Of course Tae, whatever you need." She gives Jimin one last peck before standing and approaching Tae, grinning and following him onto the bridge.
Everyone else is in the dining hall right now, so it's pretty quiet on the Moon. Sturgeon got to the Belt around three hours ago, so the trek to Earth begins. About ten days until they arrive. Ten days to come up with his plan and ask the question to Jungkook. Tae's slightly nervous, but he'll let that nervousness settle in once he actually gets this show on the road.
They stand in the center of the bridge, and Taehyung lets out a shaky breath. "You're the closest thing Jungkook has to family," he says.
She hums. "What's going on, Tae?"
"I never thought I'd see the day where I would be asking someone this. I certainly didn't think it'd be this soon, but I'm glad it's with you. I'm a little less nervous since it's you."
"Hey, talk to me Tae, tell me what I can do."
He softly smiles. Always so caring. He can't tell if she's always been that way or if it's a trait she picked up from Jimin. Or maybe it's even a combination of the two. "Normally I'd ask his father this, but he's not really in the picture," Taehyung mutters, which only leaves Y/N more confused. "I love Jungkook so much. More than I thought possible."
"I know, Tae. I know."
At that, he lets his shoulders relax. "I honestly can't see my life without him, and the clock he has is... it hurts even worse. Which is why I want to take things to the next level." Her eyes widen, finally catching on. "So, Y/N, since you're the closest thing to family he has..." He takes a small pause, looking into her eyes. "Before I take the next step, I wanted to ask for your permission to marry him."
She takes a step back, placing her hands over her mouth, tears flooding into her eyes. Y/N keeps her wide eyes on him, her words muffled by her hands. "You're serious?"
"I've never been more serious about anything. He's the love of my life. He's my soulmate. I know it. I want to make the most out of the limited time we have left. This is the best way to do so. It feels right, but it'll only be 100% right if you agree."
She charges forward and practically forces Tae into a hug, making him laugh and hug her back. "Of course! You have my blessing, Tae. You always will. I know you'll treat him right," she says against his chest, giving him a squeeze that he returns.
"Thank God."
She hugs him for a few more seconds before pulling back, tears slowly dripping down her face as she meets his eyes. "You, Kim Taehyung, are the perfect man for Jungkook. Everyone knows that. This crew would be honored to help you plan the perfect wedding since I know Jungkook will say yes. He'd be a dummy not to."
He chuckles. "You're pretty good at pep talks... most of the time." She playfully smacks his chest. Regardless of her playful nature, he softens his gaze. "I love you, Y/N."
"I love you too, Tae Tae. I can't wait to welcome you to the Jeon family."
He smirks. "When will the Park family be welcoming a new member?"
Her mouth falls open. "T-Tae! Keep your voice down!" At her cute little whisper-yell, his smirk grows.
"What? I'm curious, you two haven't talked about it yet?"
She shoves her promise ring in his face. "What do you think?"
"Okay okay, I see your point, but I mean come on. Four months? After surviving life and death situations? You've lived together, you fuck every day, you're about to live together for real... how long do you think?"
She shrugs. "Honestly? I'm not ready for marriage. I love Jimin and..."
When she trails off, Taehyung peers at her in confusion. "What is it?" he asks, and she starts to cry again. "What's wrong?" he asks in a gentle tone, placing his hand on her shoulder.
"We've always talked about it, our future. Us. But the thought just dawned on me. I was about to say I love Jimin and I want to marry him. I... those words, I've thought them before, hell maybe I've even said them, but saying them now? When we're almost four months into our relationship? That's insane to me to think that isn't a fantasy anymore, one day in the probably near future it'll be a reality. I'll be getting married to Jimin."
"As you should, let's be honest."
She smiles through her tears. "I really love him, Tae. I really, really do."
"I know, pumpkin. I know."
She scrunches up her nose. "Pumpkin?"
"Oh you totally like it, don't lie to yourself."
She rolls her eyes. "Riiight." He boops her nose with his finger, causing her to back away from him. "Alright, that's enough Tae time for today, I'm going back to my man. But I can't wait to see the wedding. It'll be beautiful."
Tae smiles in appreciation. "Thank you, Y/N."
"You're welcome. And Tae?" He hums. "Make him the happiest man alive."
~15:22~
Anya rips the cord free, sighing and wiping the bead of sweat from off her head. "Like that?" she asks, taking a moment to catch her breath. Who knew pulling wires could be so draining?
Jin nods with a slight smile. "Just like that, you did it better than I would."
She playfully rolls her eyes. "I highly doubt that. You're the trained engineer, are you not?"
"Do I really look like the kind of person to pay attention in university?" She pauses. Well shit, she can't argue with that. So, she shrugs.
"Fair."
Anya has been helping Jin install new food dispensers. She probably shouldn't be the first choice to help, but they can't starve. That would be bad. She's been spending a lot of time with Jin and Seulgi in particular, but for the most part she's been trying to keep to herself. She likes the crew a lot, she finds them fun to be around, but she can't get too attached. Anya knows they're doing this out of pity. Who would want someone like her in their crew? Jimin's way too nice to let her rot on Ganymede all by herself.
She's different than Sapphire despite them being best friends. Sapphire lights up an entire room with her sarcastic, funny comments. Anya brings down the mood by being herself. She hates it, but there's not much she can do really. She has a terrible fear she'll be like this forever, but this whole healing process has been just awful. She had her heart ripped out in more than one way. Heartbreak is one thing, being betrayed and heartbroken is another. But heartbreak, betrayal, and loss? All at once? Anya has wanted to cry about it every night for the past two months. She feels so weak, so vulnerable. Jin has been the only one who could ease that pain. She doesn't deserve his kindness.
"You okay?" Jin asks, raising a single brow.
"Yeah," she lies, brushing him off. She double checks that everything's in place before standing and wiping her sleeve across her forehead. "Yeah," she says again, shakily laughing. "I think I need a shower or two. Or three." He softly smiles, but there's sadness in his expression. Shit, he's seeing through her, isn't he?
"What's going on?" he asks, stepping a little closer.
Why is she letting him get closer? Every cell in her body wants to move back, but something keeps her still. She meets his eyes, noticing his sad gaze. That can't be for her, can it? She's not worth that. "I don't want to do this right now," she whispers, but Jin shakes his head.
"Then when do you want to do this? I don't need to be Sapphire to know how sad you've been."
"And why do you think that is?" she asks.
"I'm sorry," he mumbles. Anya's doing it again, she's pushing people away. She's making them feel bad for things that aren't even their fault. She sniffles, shaking him off.
"Don't apologize."
Jin stays stiff, staring at her. "I care about you, Anya. You know that, right?"
She takes in a small breath. "You do? You don't just pity me?"
"Huh? Pity you? No one here is friends with you because they pity you. I know my crew, they genuinely want to be your friend," he says, his tone carrying a weight it never has before.
Although that slightly puts her at ease, she still hates how weak she is in front of him. It's like his gaze can break through to her soul. "They shouldn't want to," she mutters, and he sighs, knowing what she means.
"It wasn't your fault."
"But it was. I became friends with Jimin. I brought Alice into your lives. I might not have freed those Goliaths, but I brought the person who wanted Y/N dead into your lives. She's responsible for Jungkook's injury. She's responsible for the destruction of Ganymede. She's responsible for Jimin's coma, and I brought her into all your lives. She did all this while I was too blind to see." Anya wipes her tears away, frustrated with herself. "I ruined everyone's lives. And you know what's even worse? I don't know what I feel. She did all of that, but I still can't hate her. What the hell is wrong with me?"
"You loved her."
"But she hurt everyone. Literally everyone." Jin frowns, taking yet another step closer. She allows it, still not budging. "I'll never be accepted. Not by this crew, or by anyone... or even myself."
Jin pulls her into a hug, which stuns her, but she's quick to hug back. Despite how badly she wants to tell him to get away from her, she can't. She can't stop her rapid heartbeat around him, or how he makes her feel okay. Why her? Why does he choose to stay with her of all people? She wishes that just for a moment she could stop hating herself, but it's impossible. Or at least, it feels that way. But when Jin is here, he makes things a little bit easier.
"I'll accept you. I always will. Her actions are hers, not yours. No one will ever hold that against you, and if they do? Then they aren't worth your time anyway," he whispers, keeping her body close. Her heart hammers against her ribcage, her blood boiling from both his words and proximity. She knows deep down that he's right, but for some reason, she can't accept it herself. She'll have to work on that, work on herself. It'll probably be the hardest part of her life. But if Jin's here, she knows she can get through it.
With him, she can get through anything.

"What's this?" Yoongi asks, furrowing his brows.
"It's a list of all the jewelers near where we're staying," Taehyung says, zooming in on the holographic list.
"Alright, which one do you want to go to first?"
"This one," Taehyung says, showing the top one. "Emil's Jewelry. They have perfect reviews, oh and they have engagement rings that can all be custom made."
"Question: how are you going to get Jungkook's ring size without directly asking him?" Yoongi asks, raising a brow.
"Uhh... Y/N?" Tae asks, and Yoongi shrugs.
Yoongi brings his comm to his mouth, choosing the correct frequency. "Hey Muffin?"
After a moment, there's static. "What's up, Yoons?"
"Is Jungkook around you?"
"Not at the moment. I'm still in the cockpit with our dashingly handsome Captain. Everything alright?"
Yoongi snorts at Y/N's description of Jimin, and Tae bites back a laugh when he sees Yoongi's gummy smile. "Tae was just wondering what Jungkook's ring size is."
"Ah, I see. Good question, I don't really remember. His shoe size is like a ten, so if I had to guess, I'd say like an eight."
Taehyung sighs, burying his head into his hands. "This is going to be harder than I thought," he mutters, causing Yoongi to chuckle.
"Thanks Muffin, tell Jimin I said hi."
"Hi Yoongi," Jimin replies, his voice muffled by static.
Yoongi grins. "Have fun you two." He clicks off the comm, glancing back at Tae and kneeling in front of him. "Let's do this thing."
Tae cautiously peeks out from behind his hands. "You want to help?"
"The faster we get this done, the faster you and Jungkook get married... and the faster I can sleep." Taehyung fights his smile but fails, his eyes twinkling.
"Okay, let's do it." Yoongi stands, grabbing his paper notebook - yes, he managed to find a paper one, it's a miracle - and grabbing a pen. "Let's start small. You said one whole week of adventures, right?"
Taehyung hums. "I'm thinking like the day after we land on Earth, that's when it starts."
Yoongi writes that down, putting each day in his makeshift planner. "Alright, day one. What do you want to do?"
"I'm thinking we do paintball. No better way to start the week than by shooting paint at each other."
Yoongi smiles, marking it down. "Okay, anything else?"
"I want to cook him a meal, I'm not sure what yet, but something cute. I want to get him flowers too."
"Romantic," Yoongi teases, causing Tae to fluster. "Is that it for day one?" Tae manages to calm himself and nod. "Alright, day two, what do you have in mind?"
"Well, we're going to Binghamton, do you know what Binghamton is known for?"
"Does it look like I'm from Earth?"
"I'm not from Earth! No excuses, Yoons. You're the one with intelligence enhancements, not me."
Yoongi chuckles. "Alright then genius, what is it known for?"
Taehyung smiles proudly. "It's the carousel capital of the world. I want to take him to the Ross Park Zoo. There's a carousel there. Plus, animals are fun. I doubt he's ever been to a zoo before since, y'know, Ganymede doesn't have any and something tells me Mars doesn't either."
Yoongi hums, writing that down. "Alright, night time plans?"
"I think that will be a candlelight dinner under the stars. We can stay there until 3 a.m."
"Sounds good, next," Yoongi says.
"We're flying through this list. Alright, next is bungee jumping of course."
"That's enough excitement for a lifetime for me," Yoongi grumbles, marking it.
"Then I think we can go out to dinner, something casual since we won't be able to feel our stomachs."
"Smart," Yoongi says, finishing off the day.
"Day four I think we go out for breakfast somewhere and take a road trip."
"Road trip?" Yoongi asks.
Taehyung nods. "There's an amusement park called the 'Great Escape' about three hours away from where we're staying. We can get a hotel and stay overnight, hit the park for days four and five."
"Easy enough, day six?"
"The drive back, then I think we go to a buffet for lunch and explore the nearby parks. Something more casual after the whole bungee jumping and amusement park stuff."
"Any dinner?"
"Take out of course."
Yoongi smiles. "Of course."
"And the last day, I want to make it special. Breakfast in bed, lunch somewhere cute, and the dinner Jimin owes me," Tae says.
Yoongi writes all that down. "Any activities in the middle?"
"Um, I actually wanted to take him to a recording studio after lunch." Yoongi looks up at that, quirking a brow. "Jungkook kind of hinted that he loves to sing, so I thought I'd rent out a place to give him that chance to. We can maybe make a song together."
Yoongi's expression softens. "Cute."
Taehyung gets flustered but doesn't comment. "I want dinner to be in the mansion, but in a room that he doesn't know about. So we should hide it from him the whole week. I want it all decorated and romantic. Jungkook is totally a hopeless romantic, so I want to show him that fairy-tale side of relationships. And of course, Jimin as our waiter to tend to our every need."
"I better be able to take pictures."
Taehyung softly smiles. "Maybe. I plan on proposing after we're done eating. A classic proposal, just a whole speech then I get on one knee."
Yoongi marks everything, then tears the page out of his notebook. "Alright, all done. Hang it on your wall or something."
Taehyung lets out a small sigh of relief. "Thank you, Yoons. I don't know what I would do without you."
"I don't know what you'd do without me either."
Tae grunts. "Modest much?"
"Always." Yoongi smiles at the boy, who smiles back.
Everything's going smoothly. Yoongi only hopes Jungkook will say yes. He thinks the Executive will, but there's always a chance. Yoongi doesn't want to be negative though. Jungkook and Taehyung share a special bond. Considering the circumstances, there's no real reason why Jungkook would reject him, right? Regardless of his thoughts, he pulls Tae into a hug. The boy is surprised, but he returns it nonetheless. Yoons can't wait for the wedding already. Damn. Maybe he really is a grandpa.
"Good luck, Tae," Yoongi whispers, causing Tae to break out into a boxy smile.
"Thank you, grandpa."
~19:54~
"Would you rather be proposed to in private or public?" Jimin asks, strolling down the hall.
"Private," Y/N says, giving him a cute smile.
"That actually surprises me considering your possession kink. Okay, why?"
Her cute smile quickly turns into a smirk, which makes him go pale. "Because when you get off your knees I'm getting on mine."
"Y/N L/N-"
She cuts him off by laughing, giving him a playful nudge. "Oh come on, that's our relationship in a nutshell, right?"
"Horny?" he asks.
"Jimin, have you met you? Taehyung literally asked us today if we fuck every night, and we both said yes. At the same time, too."
Jimin laughs, his squeaky sounds coming out. "I'd say we're pretty cute too."
"Oh yes, but come on, look at us." She stops him in the middle of the hall, motioning to their bodies. "We're too hot not act on it."
Jimin licks his lower lip. "Starting now?"
She shakes her head, smiling. "Surprisingly I'm actually not in the mood."
His jaw almost drops upon hearing that. "Are you okay? Are you on your period? Do you need a hug? Did I do something wrong? Am I being too much? Did I-"
"Min," she interrupts, exasperated.
"Hm?" he asks, pouting.
"You did nothing wrong," she says with a laugh. "I'm just not horny twenty-four seven." Jimin can't disagree, so he doesn't reply. He wraps an arm around her shoulder, bringing her against his body as they trot down the hall again.
"Jagi, can we cuddle tonight?" he asks.
"Of course we can, baby. Whatever you want to do." He lights up, noticing his room not too far away. Before they can get there, Jin walks out of his room, which happens to be only two doors down from Jimin's. "Hey Jin!" Y/N says. The two of them always got along, and Jimin never really understood why. She's the most kind, caring soul in the universe. And Jin's... Jin. A narcissist. Guess opposites can attract sometimes. Maybe it's because they both ran away from their home life. Maybe it's more of a mutual respect. Jimin can't fathom the idea that Y/N genuinely likes Jin's dad jokes and narcissistic comments, but that's probably the real answer here.
"Hey Y/N, Jimin," Jin says, his tone genuinely sweet. Okay, what's up with him? Why is he being nice? Friendly? Aka not Jin. Is he alright?
"You okay Jin?" Jimin asks, and the man nods.
"Yeah, I'm just going to meet up with Baekhyun."
"Is he alright?"
Jin gives Jimin an amused look. "Everyone's alright, Captain. You have my word."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure," Jin replies, shaking his head in amusement. "You know you can relax, Jungkook is on top of things right now."
"He shouldn't have to be-"
"And you shouldn't have to run this team of rookies alone. Let him take care of it."
Jimin's unconvinced, but he nods nonetheless. "Thanks Jin."
"Anytime, Capt. I have a date with death, so if you'll excuse me."
Jimin watches as Jin strolls away, confused. "Date with death?" Jimin asks.
"The others are training. Shooting to be exact."
"Oh, shouldn't I join them? Shouldn't we both join them?"
Y/N shrugs. "We can catch up tomorrow, Jin's right, after all. You don't have to do it all on your own. I already know I'm a good shot. Self defense classes, remember?"
Jimin gazes at her in amazement. "Seriously, is there anything you can't do?"
"Well, no matter how hard I try, I can't look ugly. I'm pretty hot if you ask me."
He chuckles, kissing the top of her head. "You're not wrong. Most gorgeous girl I've ever laid my eyes on. Now let's go, my room is waiting for us." He practically drags her inside, closing the door behind him. She goes over to his bed, taking off her sneakers before jumping onto it and sighing in relief.
He slips out of his shoes as well, licking his lower lip before crawling on top of her. She looks up at him with those eyes he'll never get tired of seeing. "Hi," she says in a soft tone.
"Hey princess." He kisses her, causing her to let out a muffled moan against his lips. She kisses him back, snaking a hand up to grab his locks. He sucks on her lower lip right away, wanting to taste her so badly. Jimin wants to feel every inch of her skin on his. He holds her hips, squeezing them before pulling away.
"You're so beautiful, Jagi," he whispers, trailing his fingers up and down her thighs.
"Cuddles?" she asks, causing him to laugh.
"Sure," he mutters, tracing one finger up her inner thigh.
"Mm, not tonight Min," she says, causing him to drop his jaw. Wait, she's seriously not feeling it? He furrows his brows, bringing one hand to her cheek.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, everything's good. I'm just tired. I didn't sleep well last night."
"Awh, honey," he whispers, rolling off of her and laying down next to her. "Come here, baby." She happily obliges, crawling into his arms and sighing at his warmth. "I'm sorry," he murmurs, kissing her forehead.
"Don't apologize. You were right, after all. We do fuck every night, so it's kind of expected, right?"
"That doesn't matter, I still shouldn't have done that. And I should apologize, you deserve a verbal apology, and a verbal talk about how I'd never hurt you in any way. Ever. I promise I'm not an asshole. If you don't want to do anything like that, just tell me and I'll back off right away."
She peeks up at him shyly. "Really? The horny Park Jimin would keep it in his pants?"
Although she has a teasing tone, he still frowns. He kisses her forehead again, and she picks up on his mood and matches it. "You are way more important to me than my little guy down there, you know that, right?"
"Correction, your big guy down there."
He playfully rolls his eyes. "Okay, fine. My big guy down there. I'm serious, angel. Your comfort is my number one priority." Jimin rubs her back soothingly, which makes her hum in approval. "I want you to feel safe and comfortable around me. Always. I don't care what I have to do, as long as you're happy and safe."
She kisses his chin, burying her face into his neck. "Thank you, Min."
"Of course, anything for my princess. I figured that was common decency, you don't have to thank me for it."
She holds him tighter. "But I want to."
He chuckles, nuzzling his cheek against the top of her hair. "I love you, Jagiya. Never forget that, okay?"
"I won't, Mochi. And I love you too. More than you can imagine."
~20:03~
"Just point and shoot, it's honestly not that hard."
Jin laughs, watching as Baekhyun struggles. They're in the armory, targets set up as Yoongi tries teaching the Pilot how to shoot. Luck has been on their side a lot, but now, they need training. A lot of it. They may be talented with what they do, but they need to be more than talented. They need to be genuinely good. Jin is a decent shot despite his crew's belief. He's saved lives when he's had to, that's for sure. In high pressure situations, he performs better than people think. Jin's a little biased though.
Yoongi grumbles a curse to himself, watching as Baekhyun hits the white space instead of the target once again. "Honestly Baekhyun, you're helpless. How are you good at piloting but you can't even fire a pistol?" Yoongi asks, exasperated.
"I'm not helpless! Watch this!" Again, a miss. Jin glances over at Tae, who lines his pistol up. Tae winces as he fires, the kickback hurting him.
"Are you okay? Where does it hurt? Do I need to get bandages?" Yoongi rapidly asks, approaching him.
Baekhyun makes faces at Yoongi once he turns around, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. "That's his bestie, what do you expect?" Jin asks. Since they're wearing headphones, they're practically yelling at each other, but that's okay. It's honestly kind of funny.
"Like this?" Taehyung asks, firing. It hits the target in the shoulder.
"Nice, don't be afraid to relax a little. Don't lock your elbows, keep your eyes on the trigger and always be wary of where your finger is. Don't put your finger on the trigger unless you're absolutely sure you want to fire," Yoongi explains. Baekhyun listens as well, firing again. This time, Baekhyun does hit it. He grazes the target's cheek. "Finally some improvement, thank you Baekhyun!" Yoongi exclaims, clapping his hands together. Baekhyun sticks his tongue out at Yoongi, which makes Taehyung snort.
"How's the training going?" Jungkook asks, trekking into the room.
"We're all doing okay except for Baekhyun."
"Hey!"
Jungkook softly smiles. "Mind if I try?"
"Yes babe slay!" Tae shouts. Jungkook gives him a sly smile. Yoongi hands his pistol to Jungkook, who easily adjusts to its weight and goes in front of a lane. He takes in a small breath, holding the pistol up to eye level and firing. He goes slow, but each shot is calculated. One hits it in the head, then the chest, then the head again. He goes back and forth. Wow, he really is a show off.
"Alright. Seulgi, let's see you," Jungkook says, placing the pistol on the ledge. She gulps, then fires. She hits it in the chest. "Good. Hoseok?" He fires as well. Shoulder. "Anya?" Chest. "Sapphire?" Headshot. Wow. How the hell is she such a natural? "Jin?" The Engineer sighs, lining up his shot and making sure he remembers what he always does. Jin pulls the trigger, the kickback not harming him as his bullet pierces right through the target's head. Jungkook nods, walking down further. "Baekhyun?"
The Pilot hesitates, but he lines up his shot nonetheless. "Just remember to not freeze up. Stay loose," Jin says, causing Baekhyun to give him a grateful glance. After a moment, Baekhyun brings his attention back to the target, firing once and hitting it in the stomach.
"What? Yoongi I thought you said he was bad," Jungkook says.
"He was bad a minute ago," Yoongi grumbles, scratching the back of his neck.
Jungkook chuckles, moving down. "And last but definitely not least. Tae?"
The boy shoots Jungkook a boxy smile before peering at the target, following both Yoongi and Jin's advice. He stays loose, narrowing his eyes before firing. Right in the head. "Who knew we had sharpshooters on our side. Keep working, but you guys are doing good. We want consistent chest and head shots. I like what I'm seeing so far. Remember that tomorrow we're going to be studying piloting, so pay attention," Jungkook says.
Jin watches as the Executive departs, softly smiling to himself. Jungkook's a natural leader; he set up a solid training schedule. If they're going to be floating towards Earth for over a week, they might as well do something. They want to have experience in every field, and first up was shooting. Looks like they have that down pretty well. Jin was never worried about his shooting, but now he has complete confidence in himself. As for piloting? That may be difficult.
Yoongi and Jungkook are the only two with experience in every single field, so Jin can learn a lot from them. Piloting is probably important in case something happens to Y/N and Baekhyun. Based on how popular the crew is, the odds are they'll end up right in the middle of the Earth Mars war when it starts again. They'll need all the training they can get. And not textbook training: field training.
"Back to shooting, keep going, I'll monitor," Yoongi says, and everyone nods, turning their attention back to their targets. "I want to see a lot of empty mags. We have more mags than food at this point, so don't hesitate, you're not wasting anything," he adds, pacing back and forth, eyeing the crew. Jin shoots again, hitting the chest. "You're taking naturally to this," Yoongi says.
"Thank you, I guess I imagined doing this to my father every night."
"Feel as good as you imagined?"
Jin smirks, firing another right into the head of the target. "Better."
His father was always a rude bastard. His mother wasn't in the picture exactly. Oh, how did his father phrase it? Jin was a 'mistake'. One gorgeous, sexy, stunning mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. Jin didn't really care though, as long as he knew he was worth it, he was fine. Granted there were a lot of days, maybe even weeks, where Jin hated himself, but he always found the right path. Maybe that's why he's such a narcissist, to prove to his father that he's not just some 'mistake'. He's him. And that's enough.
"Someone tell me where the malfa kit is hidden in this room," Yoongi says. Jin thinks about it, but he honestly forgot, so he has to use his eyes. Malfa kits are essential to survival. They're hidden in almost every room on a ship in case of emergency. Necessary tools and some medical supplies are inside it. They're normally hidden behind loose panels that can be pried open with just hands, no extra force.
Jin glances around, but he seriously can't find it. "Right there," Taehyung says, motioning to a panel literally directly behind Jin. He frowns, ashamed that he couldn't see how weak the panel looks.
"Very good, I want to go around and identify where each kit is hiding on this ship later. I need you to memorize them." Great, what is this, school? Maybe training wasn't such a good idea after all. Jin grumbles to himself about training being more like middle school, but Yoongi quickly shuts him up.
"I know it seems tedious, but if we're boarded, finding one of those kits quickly could be the difference between life and death. Knowing how to shoot could save not only your life but someone else's. Knowing how to pilot could save everyone's lives. Knowing how to do quick, basic repairs could keep us afloat. The more we know, the more likely we'll survive emergency situations, so please bear with me here," Yoongi says.
Jin sighs, knowing Yoongi is right. Well no shit: Yoongi has intelligence enhancements. He's definitely smarter than some give him credit for. "Hey Jin?" Baekhyun asks, causing the Engineer to look at him. "How do you do it?"
"Hm?"
"Love yourself."
Jin's taken aback by the question, pointing to his face. "Look at me, I'm me. Gorgeous face. Worldwide handsome, you know?" Baekhyun smiles, but Jin can tell joking isn't the best for the situation. "It's honestly hard to, but sometimes someone or something pushes you in the right direction. But for the most part, you do it yourself, because you're worth love. You deserve to love yourself," Jin says, causing Baekhyun to stare at him with his jaw wide open.
"That was the greatest thing I think I've ever heard you say."
"Really? I literally just called myself world wide handsome," Jin says.
Baekhyun laughs. "Jin?"
"Yeah?"
"Never change."
