*Friendship*
A/N: Mild smut warning. M i l d. It's only a lil at the beginning. But the beginning is kind of important so you probably don't want to skip it if you're shy to that kind of stuff. My apologies. Plot kick-starter. We getting slowly but surely back into the gist of things. You'll see how.
Also omg that pic- I'm sorry I stared at it for ten minutes before realizing I was supposed to be editing.
~The Next Day || 10:00~
"Shh, you have to stay quiet," Jimin whispers, and you nod, biting your lower lip and letting your hand trail down his bare chest. He kisses your face rapidly. You moan at the sensation, trying to get closer to him. "Shhh come on, we don't want him to hear us," he mutters, burying his head into your neck and sucking on the skin there. You gasp, placing both of your hands against his chest.
"He will if you keep doing that," you say. He chuckles, refusing to stop. For the next few seconds, you hold your breath, pleasure coursing through your veins as his lips move across your neck.
"Huh, guess they're still sleeping," Jungkook's voice softly says from outside your apartment. You and Jimin quietly giggle.
"I can't believe we're doing this," you whisper, and he shakes his head in response.
"I can. Jungkook can't interrupt our morning, we haven't even had breakfast yet."
You push him off of you, giving him a dirty look. "Park Jimin, it's like you're trying to sabotage us. Do you really feel the need to tease me?"
He gives you an 'are you serious look'. "Of course I do. Have you met me?"
You laugh. "I think he's gone now." You and Jimin haven't talked to anyone since you left the party last night. You knew Jungkook would come by to check on the two of you, probably ask to stay for breakfast. You know he's been wanting to have breakfast with two of his favorite people. So, you and Jimin devised a plan to stay in all day. You don't have to go out looking for creatures this morning. Actually, you don't have to go out again at all. The only times you have to go out is when the trackers are set off. That could be at any moment though, so for now you decide not to think about it.
He leans forward and kisses your neck again, causing you to groan, rolling your eyes with a smile. "Do you want breakfast or not?" you ask. Jimin shrugs, his fingers tapping against your sides. If this man tickles you one more time you might do some things you'll regret.
"You're my breakfast," he mutters against your skin. You let out an exasperated sigh, gently pushing him back again, but his hands still rest at your sides.
"Fuck off, Jimin," you say teasingly.
He looks offended, then proceeds to tickle you. You laugh, trying to pry his hands off you but he doesn't give up. He stops for a moment, giving you a smirk. "Last night it sounded more like 'Ahh, Jimin, please fuck me'." You burst out laughing as he tickles you again, and you start to squirm. "Jiiimin, daddy please don't stop," he says, mocking your voice.
"S-Shut up!" you reply, your entire body on fire from his fingers. He pulls back and you pant, trying to catch your breath. "Not cool," you say with a pout.
"What? It's true. The only sounds I heard last night were-"
"Oh my God," you interrupt, rolling your eyes.
"You said that too."
"You know what? No sex for two weeks."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me." He smirks, kissing your chin, then your bare chest, working his way down. "Oh no, we're not playing this game agai-" You break off when he harshly licks your entrance. You grip the sheets. "You have to be kidding me," you say, shaking your head.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" he asks, then he licks you again, his tongue playing with your bud. You bite back your moan.
"N-No sex for two weeks."
"Uh huh," he replies, lapping at you. You decide to give in, lying back and letting your head hit the pillows as he works his magic. He inserts one finger instead, humming to himself as he works. "What do you want for breakfast?" Your fingers clutch at the bedsheets, your lips twitching up into a smile.
"I don't know," you whisper, doing your best not to moan. You're not entirely sure what to say as he pumps his fingers in and out of you. He softly moans, trying to tease you. "Really?" you ask, raising a brow. He looks up at you innocently, removing his finger and sucking it.
He keeps his eyes locked on yours as he gives you one long lick, the sensation almost making you moan out his name. "What?" he whispers, making sure his breath hits your entrance. He goes back to letting his fingers play with your folds, softly singing a small tune as he works.
"W-What happened to dialing down on the sex?" you ask.
He shrugs. "I happened."
You nearly burst out laughing. He's not wrong. "At least we're not fucking in the middle of our arguments anymore," you reply, and he gives you a look of amusement, sticking two fingers inside of you.
"We haven't fought at all since you called me daddy. Maybe that's the solution."
"Mm, maybe. Maybe I'll call you it more. If you're lucky, that is." He smirks at your words, granting you more and curling his fingers, rubbing against your walls the way he knows you like it. He looks over your body, licking his lower lip as he goes in and out of you. Then, he suddenly stops, his fingers going still inside of you. "Jimin?"
"Sorry, I don't know what got into me there." He's about to start again, but you lean down and grab his wrist. Jimin looks up at you in shock.
"What happened?" you asks.
"Y/N, last night was..."
"Insane?"
He nods. "Beyond that. And my desire for you, it genuinely scared me."
"Scared you?" you ask, slightly confused.
"I've never wanted anyone as badly as I want you. I always knew what we had was special but last night - I couldn't even control myself. I felt like I couldn't hold back. I just needed to show you how much I want you. How much I love you. I don't know why I'm so attached so early, but this, us... everything is different now. If I lost you on Ganymede, I would've lost the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. And you-"
He breaks off. To your surprise, tears are forming in his eyes. "You make everything so much better. You're the light in my darkness, is the best way to put it. My angel. As if being the most beautiful person I've ever met wasn't enough... you top it all off by having the best personality too. Every single emotional beating I go through you're there for. I can't lose you." He shakes his head, lowering his voice to a whisper. "I can't." You shift your position, moving your body to be on your knees. He clears his throat, going on his knees as well. You lean forward and gingerly kiss his cheek. He sighs, leaning into it. You wrap your arms around his body and bring him in, hugging him tightly.
"I can't lose you either," you whisper, and it's the truth: you felt that same desire yesterday. You couldn't get enough of him: both emotionally and physically. Sure, you and him may have had sex lots of times before, but last night it felt different. In a way, it felt like the next step. It felt like something sparked between you two. Something new. He buries his head into your neck, breathing softly against your skin.
"Please don't leave me," he whispers, his voice cracking.
You sniffle at the sound, tears burning at the backs of your eyes. "I won't," you reply, squeezing him as tightly as you can.
~The Next Day || 12:02~
Nine days until the anniversary.
Jimin panics at that thought, wondering if everything is set up. He called and made two reservations. One is later, for dinner. The other is a surprise during the day. He hopes nothing pops up. No, actually, he prays that nothing happens. That would be terrible. Of all the days for something to pop up, their anniversary would be the worst day. He mentally sighs. Knowing their luck: something probably will happen.
Jimin walks down the street, hands in his pockets, a bag hanging around his wrist. He decided to get two phones, one for him, one for Y/N. He figured why not. Anya seemed to imply that they're important. Hologlobes are nice, but phones may be more useful. They have been around for over 200 years after all, there must be a reason for that. Jimin hasn't had one since he was a child. He got a black one, and he got Y/N a gold one. He went with the simplest looking ones, but even then it wasn't so simple. There were all these holograms and random buttons and flipping and he's not even sure. He's an engineer and he's not even sure.
He got a message from Anya yesterday afternoon, her telling him her phone number in case he decides to get one (yay) and the address to the lab. That's where he's heading now. He figured she might have an update for him, or maybe she can show him around and he can see the creatures. Jimin's kind of curious what they look like up close, he tried not to look too closely when Y/N and him took down the beast in the cave. He's grateful the EMPs worked, he really hopes they don't evolve any further and that the EMPs continue to work.
He pulls himself out of his thoughts as the lab comes into his view. It's a big, metal building, circular in shape and approximately eight stories high. He approaches it, seeing a revolving door in the front, people with lab coats going inside. He takes a deep breath, then walks forward, waiting for the path to be clear before going through the door. Jimin pushes through, slightly claustrophobic for a moment, but he quickly enters the building.
What awaits him is a large, oval-shaped room, escalators off far to the corner. The room is a bright white, chandeliers hanging from the ceiling along with lights built into the floors at the corners. There's a whole walkway, couches and 'plants' filling the space. On the far right, there's a place for the staff. It almost looks like a ticket-booth back on Earth, so Jimin lights up with familiarity and approaches it.
The room's crowded with people, which doesn't surprise the Captain. A new creature just got brought in. Research is their top priority right now. He approaches the first booth. To his surprise it has no line. He goes up to the window, and an older lady looks up, giving him a small smile. "Hello, how can I help you?" she asks, her voice a little raspy.
"Hi, I'm looking for Anya Forester. My name is Park Jimin, she should be expecting me."
Her eyes slightly widen. "The Park Jimin?"
Jimin fiddles with his fingers, hoping he doesn't look pink. "In the flesh."
The lady offers him a much wider smile. "Thank you so much for your service."
He gives her a small bow. "Anytime. It was the right thing to do."
"My my, so humble. That Y/N girl is lucky."
"Y/N?" he asks, nervously chuckling, "how do you know we're together?"
"Oh it's all over the news. Pictures of you and her in a lip lock. I think the solar system has a little bit of a crush on you."
Jimin fights down his blush and gives her a tight smile. "Well, looks like they're a little too late. I found my one already. Is Anya around?"
The lady nods, pressing into her comm. "Paging Anya Forester. Park Jimin is in the lobby waiting for you." She releases the button, giving him another smile. "She'll be out in a minute, please, find a seat. And thank you again." He gives her another small bow before departing, shaking the conversation off. He's not sure how he feels about Y/N and him being on the news for kissing. She's his girlfriend, it's what they do. Half of him wants to smirk at the thought of the whole solar system knowing who she belongs to, but the other half is telling him to be embarrassed.
So, he finds the nearest couch and sits there, waiting patiently for several minutes with his mind blank. About five minutes tick by, and it's at this point that he searches the room for Anya. He scans over the crowd, then eventually sees the familiar tan-skinned girl bouncing off of the escalator, her white lab coat tied tightly around her. He stands, walking over, and her eyes meet his. She smiles, waving at him. He smiles back and speeds up his pace.
"I'm so glad you came by. I wasn't sure if you had any time in your busy schedule," she says, dipping her head downwards.
He does the same. "I appreciate your offer. I'm excited to see the place."
"And I'm excited to show you. Come on, this way," she says, guiding him over to the up escalators.
"So, this place, how long as it been around?" Jimin asks, stepping on the glass escalator. It propels him forward, going at a moderate speed.
"You know about Arrow Moon?"
He nods. "Y/N told me about him. Badass name."
"Very. He was a scientist, making a research facility was his top priority. This place was in construction for nine years. He wanted state of the art tech and architecture that gave Mars a run for its money. This is the result. Established in 2108. Just over a hundred years old now."
Jimin hums in understanding. "This place is fascinating. The white is somehow the purest white I've ever seen, if that makes sense."
She nods, stepping off the escalator as it reaches the second floor. Jimin follows. "It does, he was also a bit of a clean freak, which is why there's so many crystal clear white surfaces around the big buildings."
"I'm kind of curious to know more about this Arrow Moon guy. Where was he born?"
"He was apart of the first generation of those on Mars. Actually, I think he was the fiftieth baby born on Mars. Darker skin, not too much hair, a natural leader. One of the few colonizers that wasn't an asshole. Don't even get me started on Pierce."
"Pierce?"
She scoffs, leading him to the back of the room, where a hallway awaits them. "Only goes by Pierce. Colonized Callisto. Still alive today, fun fact."
"Jesus how old is he?"
"126. Born in 2090, Callisto was made into a colony by 2115. He was 25 when he became the leader of the mission. Absolute prick, I would know I've met him."
"Oh really?"
She seems to cringe at the memory. "I visited Callisto to do some research at the start of my career. Lets just say never go to Callisto."
He shrugs, accepting it. "Where are you taking me?" he asks as they enter the hallway. It's very similar to the rest of the building, all white and bright.
"To the main lab, we have two Goliaths in there. I hope you aren't scared of big creatures."
"So they're successfully being held?"
"Very successfully being held. We're running daily tests and keeping them on drugs so they're not too hyper on us. Despite our curiosity, we really do not want to see what they're fully capable of," she says.
Jimin nods in understanding as she approaches a gray, metal door. It opens, and a large rectangular room comes into view. It's still white, but there's more... well, stuff, in the room. There's several people-sized holograms displaying charts and graphs, there's workers here as well along with tables and shelves. Jimin's eyes widen as he notices the circular containment facility in the middle of the room, glass on all sides. Although, it's definitely not just glass, it has to be something strong to hold that disgusting gray creature in.
"This is a Goliath?" he asks.
She nods. "We have another one in the back. This is the one you captured, actually."
"God damn that bastard, I was in the middle of a make-out session."
She laughs. "I see why all of Ganymede is fangirling over you." Jimin simply gives her a tilted head, which makes her sigh but smile. "You're funny, that's what I'm trying to say. You're like the kind of guy everyone wants to be friends with."
He shyly smiles. "Including you?"
"Including me."
They smile at each other for a few seconds before Anya motions to the room. "Come on, let's show you what he looks like up close." Jimin gulps down his nerves as they walk further into the room. The scientists all acknowledge Anya in some way. Whether it be a bow, a greeting, or a salute. One of the three. She really is a big deal around here. Jimin's curious to know what she had to do to get to this point. He's curious about her. She seems nice enough, funny too. Maybe Jimin can finally make a friend that isn't from the crew. Not that he needs anyone else, but it would be nice to branch out here and there.
They approach the glass and see the Goliath lying down, breathing out. Whenever it exhales, some fog hits the glass. "We identified this one as a male. It seems as though the Goliaths we have so far are all males, which is strange. We want to find a Mantis to compare. I want to see the evolution process as well, how did they get from a human to... this."
"How do you think you can do that?"
"You won't like my answer." It's at this point that Jimin notices she has a small accent. It's practically unnoticeable, but it almost sounds slightly... British.
"What is it?" Jimin asks, crossing his arms across his chest.
"I want to take a team to Triton."
"Why does everyone suddenly want to talk about Triton?"
She gives him a small smile, but keeps going. "We don't have too much else we can go off of. We don't know how many of these... things are on Ganymede. Thanks to your intel, however, we have a good idea of what's awaiting us on Triton. We can rescue survivors while we're there, that way we're killing two birds with one stone."
That's a metaphor Jimin hasn't heard in a while. "Earth?" he asks, and she goes still.
"What?"
"Are you from Earth?"
"What gave it away?"
"Just a feeling. What are you doing all the way out here?"
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" she asks, giving him a small smirk. He gives her a cheeky smile, but doesn't reply to her question.
"Rescuing survivors does sound good, but Triton is a mess right now. Do you really want to risk your own people?"
She raises a brow at him. "Did you not risk your own people for Ganymede?"
He sighs. "Fair point, I guess I really can't argue with that."
Anya motions to the Goliath. "Go ahead, he's safe. You can step closer if you'd like."
Jimin's nervous, but does as he's told. He takes another step, then places his hand on the hard glass. The creature's lazy eyes fall on Jimin, letting out a small huff. Other than that, the Goliath doesn't react. "Jesus, you have him heavily sedated, don't you?"
She places her hand on the glass as well. "We have to, for our people." She hesitates, biting on her lower lip for a beat. "I know you've probably seen a lot of corruption over the past month. First with Earth, then Mars, then with Y/N's father." His eyes widen. "Trust me - any high-ranking official knows how corrupt Y/N's father was. He was a common enemy to anyone who isn't Mars, but since we didn't want conflict with that stupid Red Planet we kept quiet and let him do his thing. Plus, the people love him, so we didn't really have much choice there."
She gives him a sad smile. "The point I'm trying to make is I hope Ganymede can restore your faith in the good parts of the solar system, cause there are good parts, I know it sucks that you have to look hard for them, but they're there. I hope Kai gave you some faith back, he's a good guy, a great governor too."
Jimin softly smiles, giving her a firm nod. "Anya?"
She seems taken aback. "Yeah?"
"Thank you for giving me my faith back."

A/N: Not too much happened this chapter, but I thought it would be a quick way to add some relationship fluff and give a gateway to the plot. Also some interesting facts about the lore of the universe, just thought I'd expand a little more on that. Poor Min has a lot to learn, after all. Anyway, see you guys in the next chapter, bye bye!
